Fantastic experience: Beautiful experience altogether. The ride is very relaxing, you can either hire someone to punt for you or you can hire only a boat and punt yourself. The view is really good and all the historical stuff that the guide tells you is really good to know and helps to understand what is what. I would totally recommend to try this. It costs around 15-30 pounds depending on the agency that you hire.

Fantastic experience: We heard so many mixed reviews from friends regarding punting in general. We took a chance and were very pleased with our experience. I do think it depends on your willingness to conversation with your punter, and it depends on your punter as well. Will, aka “Good Will Punting”, was a delight. He was knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to. He engaged in conversation about the colleges along our root and their history, but the best thing was that he enjoyed what he was doing. In between the history, we had great conversation. Even the other punters joked with us and gave us recommendations for things to do after we finished. We do recommend a tour from Cambridge Punting Tours. And…if you’re lucky enough to have “Good Will Punting”, tell him we said hello!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended for those visiting Cambridge! We had the opportunity to do this tour last minute & it really gave us a better perspective of the culture & history of Cambridge University in ways that we couldn’t have known as we were there for a short weekend- and also seen things that people on foot can’t see. Our host was also welcoming, and made the tour a good mix of funny, informative & relaxed. Thank you!
