Negative experience: I us we Benz travel ( citrus holidays ) many many times I will be totally honest the holiday itself and the service received while away was excellent but ……. During covid we had to cancel holidays and we had to wait months and months for a refund They told me money was held until nearer time of departure but they still couldn’t pay me back I now have a ccj from them as they said they had refunded twice This ccj was over 2 years later and I had no notification of the court date We moved house and had post redirected for 6 months still we had nothing despite the fact they had my email and phone number When I found out I called them and queried the money they said I owed they were very unhelpful As the case had been heard in court there was kii out thing I could do it couldn’t be removed Had I heard and known about what they were doing we could have discussed it I paid the balance as I argued and argued but didn’t want a ccj on my credit score and they were most un concerned I will NEVER use this company again due to the way I have been treated They are ok as long as they are getting money in other than that they don’t care about their customers

Negative experience: By far the worst experience I have ever had with anyone. The lady who does my nails and does not speak a word of English is far more respectful and professional. We bought tickets which we had to change due to the pandemic and were given a voucher. We have decided not to travel this year due to having a small baby and called Andrew only to be told he left. I spoke to Roger who said the voucher was valid for 2 years and not to worry but something inside me said I should ask that in writing. Called several times and couldn’t get through to Roger when I finally did, he said to speak to James who said the voucher is only valid for 1 year and that’s it. I then asked to change it to next year, he said he will look and call me back after a few minutes. Never did. I called severally to the point I even forgot about it.. when I remembered and called again, his computer system was all of a sudden down! To date I haven’t had my ticket changed and could lose close to £2,000. I will be making a complaint about this company they are frauds

Negative experience: Very shabby service, Never trust this company ever again. Benz Travel wont refund on two tickets despite Uzbekistan Airlines confirming on their websites that full refund will be provided towards the cancelled flights due to Covid 19 for all flights including London to Amritsar flights and this refund should be claimed through the travel agents unless booked directly with the Airline. Benz are refusing to entertain claims and are not even responding to our requests for full refund under EEA rules since the flight was originating from London. Now only recourse left is to pursue refund through courts.

Negative experience: Bogus travel agents which runs under few different names such as travelshoppers and red flights. Dont be put off by cheap online prices and fake online reviews. Went down to address and no such premises exists. Was insisting I pay money over the phone and leave deposit, rather than in person. Ticket prices changed on several occasions. We do have a number of brands/branches that trade under our licences that specialise in their respective travel fields. Pricing in the travel industry is extremely fluid and can change depending on demand and availability, In most cases it is easier to make a payment online or over the telephone, however customers are more than welcome to visit our offices.
Negative experience: I wouldn't give this company any stars. Absolutely awful customer service, after miss selling us tickets to Australia using pressure selling techniques on dates we had specifically mentioned we could not fly on. Have now been waiting 2 weeks for a refund and it is nowhere to be seen. Avoid at all costs. Dodgy company, won't even offer me a refund receipt. This is not acceptable.

Depending on the type of ticket, cancellations can take as much as six weeks to be refunded, we will endeavour to speed this process up as much as possible. Mr Patel, You were asked to pay a deposit to secure the booking, which you failed to pay in full at the correct time. By the time you paid the agreed deposit in full the flight price had changed by £30. A number of options were offered to you at this stage including a different flight option at the same fare. While considering these options the original reservation was then cancelled and we have since arranged a full refund. It is of utmost importance that deposits and balances are paid at the correct time as in turn we have to confirm reservations and services booked. This whole situation could have been avoided had the correct payment been made on time.

A deposit holds your reservation until full payment is received and tickets are then issued, if in the event of any changes to the fare or taxes prior to the ticket being issued these are then passed on to the passenger, or alternate flights sourced, or a full refund given. Many customers are satisfied with the advance booking procedure we offer and take advantage of this system in order to obtain the cheapest fares as soon as they are released. Once again our apologies in this instance, we have given you a full refund.

We often have flights for less than £399 from Heathrow to Bangalore, in fact at the moment there is a fare on Gulf air for £340 travelling before the end of March There is also a fare on Etihad for September at £360, It all depends on your dates and flexibility.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These guys got the name wrong on my airline ticket and refused to change it. They said I would be 'fine' and encouraged me to fly anyway. When I phoned the airline they said that they would not let me board unless the name was corrected. Benz then started avoiding me. In the end I had to get the bank to get my money back.

Hi Citanya, Our company, Benz Travel Ltd has a subsidiary with the trading name A1fares.co.uk. You made a booking through a company called A1fare.co.uk who seem to be using the similarity of our trading name to dupe customers into booking with them. Since hearing of your unfortunate situation we have reported this to the CAA who acknowledge that A1fare.co.uk have no connection whatsoever with Benz Travel Limited. Our best suggestion is that you track down the fraudster using the bank details you paid the money into. You could also report the fraud to https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ If you wish to make any bookings in future, can I suggest you contact us here at Benz Travel directly to make your booking, which will be fully ATOL protected.
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! BENZ TRAVEL. Booked tickets a month ago that didn't exist. When I rang the company to question why I had not had further communication from them they told me my payment had been rejected and it wasn't their responsibility to inform me. Now in a situation with 5 people and no flights available at the price I booked. Apparently now also, long haul flights are charging for baggage so they wanted more money from me to confirm flights. Refused to let me speak to a manager. Have now succesfully booked flights including baggage from a reputable company and the credit card I originally used was good to go so can't understand why this company had an issue. Rubbish communication and even worse customer service. They need naming and shaming!!!!!
Hi Lucy, Firstly our Sincere apologies for the lack of communication you experienced in booking online with our company. Just to clarify, you made an online booking which actually failed at point of reservation. There are a number of reasons this could have happened eg; the fare or availability changed during the booking procedure, or as in most cases it is due to non authorisation of payment, which clearly was not the case in your instance, but was the reason assumed by our staff member. An instant automated email would have been sent to you notifying you of the failure of your reservation, which we can now assume you did not receive as you would not have left it so long to contact us, however in fairness neither did you receive an instant automated email confirmation of your booking. We did try to call you on the contact number on a few of occasions but with no answer or voicemail. We are making changes to our email system so as not to rely on automated emails as this is clearly not an acceptable situation for our online customers to be in, we are also changing our processing system for online bookings so as to further avoid situations like this that rely on automated emails. We appreciate this is probably of no help to you but thank you for your feedback and once again we apologise for the inconvenience and lack of communication in this instance. SI

Negative experience: This company is also Citrus Travel. They do not provide what is promised contracted and paid for. You get a considerably lower standard of travel and hotel than you booked. Travel times that are totally inconvenient meaning no breakfast many mornings and only told about when booking is complete and and fully paid.Frequently allowing your safety to be severely compromised by employing dubious overseas providers of transport.Tours that did not materialise. Substantial amount of money going missing whilst in the care of local driver. How to ruin your holiday = book with Citrus. Not even one star really. Took 6 months to obtain a small refund gesture of goodwill. I should really have sued for breach of contract.

We had to pay an additional £150 at Stanstead airport in Jan 18 as we were not provided with boarding passes by the company.
