Fantastic experience: Many thanks Marie for arranging such a fabulous holiday for us at Domes Lakes Algarve. Everything went perfectly, in a nutshell, including flights and transfers. The hotel was spot on – amazing inhouse food, lovely room and facilities, really caring staff. We had two evening meals in the hotel and ate out at the marina restaurants for the other five nights, where there was a full international selection of restaurants. We had plenty of walks opportunities, including along the fabulous Vilamoura beaches. One point to mention about the area – the Uber service is brilliant and low cost. You were able to arrange a holiday that met all our specifications and beat our expectations by miles.

Fantastic experience: Marie arranged a wonderful Kenyan safari for our family. The safari lodges were amazing, each with their own unique experience, from being escorted to dinner due to hippos on the lawn, to giraffe wandering though the camp, to the most amazing sunset with Kilimanjaro. The food was buffet in all hotels and lodges with good selections. Our guide was with us from the day of pickup through to the last hotel on the Indian Ocean. We did not know about this and was a welcome surprise. We felt safe and looked after the entire holiday. Definately recommend Marie and Travel Counsellors.

September 2024: My wife and I have just returned from an amazing holiday in Rhodes. Yet again 5 star service from Marie from start to finish, as always! Our hotel was amazing and even though our airline did everything they could to disrupt our holiday, Marie was on hand to provide us with advice and updates throughout our 5 hour delay when we weren’t receiving any information from the airline or airport staff in Rhodes. To top all of this off, our outbound flight was due to depart 20 minutes before the sale went live for Oasis tickets, that I was lucky enough to receive a code to enter in a ballot for some additional dates. I had been desperately trying to get tickets previously, but with no luck, so I was hugely disappointed. However, Marie went above and beyond and saved the day and offered to log into the sale on my behalf whilst I was in the air, securing 2 tickets and starting my holiday off with a bang! I really can’t thank her enough! Amazing service!

Fantastic experience: I just want to say a gigantic thank you to Marie. Due to the coronavirus situation, booking holidays and finding out relevant details can be extremely confusing, especially when loads of articles are stating different things and government websites not simplifying how things need to work. Within a short space of time after sending Marie an email to assist my sister, she responded with a highly detailed description and instructions on how she could get the tests sorted, the new rules on amber countries etc. We couldn’t be any more grateful for having someone to contact who understands everything in complete detail to ensure the stress reduces. Holidays can be stressful on its own during the countdown but with the coronavirus being a bigger stress addition, she done absolutely fantastic. The initial quote came through by the next morning and was laid out very professionally. She also researched various Hotels, before finding a match that ticked all our boxes. Fantastic experience: Booking my holiday through Marie was an absolute pleasure. My brief was dark skies and Marie was able to give me 5 days of luxury along with some of the darkest skies in the world. I was able to do some “deep space” photography thanks to Marie, something I’ve wanted to do for years. I came back relaxed and motivated. Marie offers service with genuine care. She kept me updated and offered advise along the way. She helped me arrange everything I needed to enjoy my holiday. Thankfully Marie also booked my car rental with a reputable firm. While on holiday, I crashed my rental and Marie was able to give me great advise and I was able to continue and enjoy my holiday without thing too much more about it. Fantastic experience: I'm normally an independent traveller, booking and organising everything myself but I was persuaded to use Marie for my recent weekend break in Madrid and I'm so pleased I did. Not just great attention to detail but really listening to what I was looking for, hence the hotel she found was perfect. Right in the centre of the city within walking distance of both the main sights and the funky neighbourhoods, with a lovely little balcony, swimming pool and awesome rooftop bar. While she couldn't organise the weather (a bit damp!) she did organise excellent, efficient transfers and offered to check us into the flights - but my independence reasserted itself on that one! A great service, I'll be using Marie and Travel Counsellors again.

Fantastic experience: I struggle to remember is it left hand over right shoulder, right hand over left shoulder, standing up or sitting down, eyes open or closed. It’s said that throwing coins in the Trevi Fountain will ensure you return to Rome. Lesley and I have a much better plan. Leave it all to Marie. She knows the great places to stay (in our case about 30 seconds walk from Trevi). She makes the whole process stress free and secure. We were met at the airport, no hassling or concerns about taxi fares, public transport challenges, especially as we arrived like the typical bewildered tourists on a first trip to the city. The hotel was lovely and excellent value for money. The flights were conveniently timed and our seats pre-allocated – no worries about getting dragged off the aircraft. A holiday is supposed to take away the strains of life, to allow you to relax and recharge. In Marie’s safe and expert hands we achieved all that and more. Fantastic experience: I have just returned from a trip of a lifetime around the beautiful island of Sri Lanka and I'd like to thank you for organising such an amazing trip. To be honest, I was a little dubious of the value of using a travel agent when you can book everything yourself online but now I see the light! From the moment we left to the moment we came home, everything was taken care of. We had a busy 2 weeks planned but didn't have to think about anything at all as it was all taken care of. Our friendly driver new our itinerary and punctually chauffeured us in between and around the 6 destinations we visited. We were warmly welcomed at every hotel which were all of superb quality, from the hotel in the middle of the jungle, to the beachfront resort, each was uniquely outstanding. Fantastic experience: Marie is like an angel when it comes to sorting out my holidays for me. So many times I have approached her with ideas of where I want to go and where I want to stay, very shortly after our consultation she has had my entire holiday sorted for me. Fantastic experience: Travel is, without question, my favourite thing to do. What is not my favourite thing, is spending pain-staking hours scouring the web to find the perfect trip. It therefore, often gets left until the last minute, I expect costing me dearly. However, thanks to Marie and her efficient expertise, my 2018 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year. She has recently helped me to organise my annual R&R trip to Dubai. Having visited friends in Dubai for many years, I was pretty sure of where I wanted to stay and Marie very quickly planned around my specific hotel and flight requests.
