Fantastic experience: A huge thank you and shout out to Claire in the Hayle branch of Newell’s Travel. We have just returned from a city break to Reykjavik which was superb. The hotel was excellent and ideally situated for both the tour buses and walking into the main shopping area. Easy striking distance of the main attractions. The little touches make all the difference, being checked in and having your boarding cards printed out ready for your arrival at the airport, a luggage label completed with all the relevant information. First class service. We have now also booked holidays in 2025 and 2026 through Claire at Newell’s, so good to be able to sit down and discuss exactly what you want and be given information and advice by a travel expert.I can highly recommend Newell’s Travel in Hayle,

Fantastic experience: We recently booked a trip to Zurich and Basel which Dani arranged. She was very helpful and efficient. This was the third trip we have booked through Newells Hayle in the last year and all were dealt with very efficiently. It was good to deal with someone personally instead of battling with AI and the faceless online.

Fantastic experience: Booked with Dani a week in The Marmaris Bay Resort, This is the most amazing all inclusive 5* adult only resort offering peace, tranquility and paradise like surroundings, with a transfer of 2 hours from Dalaman airport. The waterside resort is situated within the mountainous pine forests where your usual concrete hotel does not exist. The main building hosts reception and restaurants as well as shops. The accommodation comprises of wonderfully presented cabins within the forest accessed by foot or the resorts golf buggies. There are 2 pools offering quiet bathing, or, in the other, activities all day!!! There is a well presented private beach with loungers and cane canopies leading into the clear warm sea of Marmaris Bay. Evening entertainment varies from live music to karaoke at the beachside coctail bar. Here you can have the local Tuborg beer or a variety if coctails and soft drinks.The food at the resort is outstanding - serving freshly prepared hot or cold meals all day long. The staff are so friendly and will happily get your drinks for you. Beware if you get the buggy to take you to your cabin as the driver will want a tip. The rooms are cleaned daily and kept to a high standard. For 15 euro return you can take a water taxi running 3 trips a day to Marmaris mariner. Here you venture into the markets for a haggle and get some 'original' fakes!! All in all a beautiful relaxing resort worth its 5* rating.

Positive experience: The Christmas at Luosto with Canterbury Travel really lived up to expectations with just one letdown that we'll go into further down. Overall, it really was the trip of a lifetime; we had time together in the villa on neutral territory which made for a very happy family atmosphere. Our grand daughters loved the activities and meeting Santa Claus, and the adults enjoyed them too. Comments from the family: "Thank you for taking me to Lapland, I had the best time. I loved the Unicorns (aka reindeer!). I loved feeding them and going on the sleigh ride. [Chloe, 3] My favourite bits were the Elves, the huskies and the tobogganing! I love spending time with my family. I loved making memories. [Evie, 9] Too many words - These include, magical, unforgettable, amazing, exceptional, marvellous, superb. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that we loved. We made memories to last a lifetime. One word - Amazing! It was the trip of a lifetime. It was brilliant to be together in the villa so we could share time in the evenings. The activities were well organised and the reindeer ride was our highlight. I would go back in a heartbeat!" The one real downside of the trip was the restaurant and the food. The restaurant was reminiscent of a rather poor school meal setup, with food (often uncovered!) to match. The food was of limited choice and together with the venue was definitely not commensurate with the price paid for the holiday; it really jarred when set against the high standard for everything else - very disappointing!! More seriously, and despite the prior notice that one of our number was gluten intolerant, GF labelling of the food was not evident, gluten-free items were not automatically forthcoming or even available. This poor standard was really brought into focus when we were sent to a different venue for the midday meal on the last day. This was to an altogether better experience with a quieter, restful atmosphere, a much wider choice and much better quality. This would have been a very much preferred choice for us. A couple of other points are worth noting. Rovaniemi airport is seemingly not geared up for the influx of flights that occurred when we arrived and resulted in having to wait 3 hours for our hold luggage. Clearly not Canterbury's fault but something to be aware of for others thinking of booking this trip. This delay did result in a very long day, and we were directed to the superior restaurant in error and by now really tired, had to climb back into out snow gear to trudge over to the inferior restaurant. Not a good start! That said, we have not let that error and the poor meal arrangements spoil what was an otherwise exceptional occasion!

She took the graft out of everything holiday related. She helped with the visas which was a huge bonus. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Great service. Excellent travel agents will certainly be using them again. Surprisingly cheaper than the on line offers and so much better because of the personal service. All my queries about the hotel were answered, we had a travel wallet with all the documents and also got advice about the place we were staying as staff had been there themselves. First time using a travel agent and I will definitely use them again. Thank you everyone!

Fantastic experience: Iv always used Hays travel agents in hayle as staff always very helpful..I'm physically disabled with rheumatoid arthritis and I'm also autistic so my holiday needs are incredibly important. They found the perfect deal for value for money and the hotel in Portugal gettings 10 out of 10 for everything would definitely return

Fantastic experience: Lucy, Kay, Dani and Claire are an excellant team who are so knowlegable, extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble. Someone was always on the end of a phone to help, I was travelling to Portugal with my Mum and Dad, who had walking dificulties and they came up with the perfect holiday destination for us all. The passenger assistance at the airports, Newquay and Faro were excellant with no problems at all which made our travel so much easier for my parents and us, knowing they were looked after. The wheelchair that was ordered at the hotel was already waiting and although we had a little problem with it, Lucy sorted it all out in next to no time. We just needed a more robust one, which was something i hadnt thought of at the time. I can't thank you ladies enough for all the effort that was made to make our holiday so enjoyable.
