Fantastic experience: Thanks to Equus Journeys I felt safe to book a solo trip in a new country. The holiday itself was fabulous (The Benasque Valley Trail in Spain). Equus journeys made life simple by coordinating payment, my insurance details, flight details, emergency contact information, and more. They gave me an advisor as my contact person, who had personally done the trip I booked, was very helpful, and replied to emails promptly. It was reassuring to know that I could phone the 24-hour helpline at any point. I would highly recommend booking your next equine holiday with Equus Journeys.

Fantastic experience: I went on the African Explorer trip to South Africa and Botswana and it exceeded all expectations. The guides were fantastic so knowledgeable and I felt very safe in their care. The horses were forward going but also very responsive and again felt very safe. Iris was a great help prior to the trip helping to plan the details including flights, transfers, even about packing! She was always very quick to respond. I would happily book another trip with eqqus and recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I just did our our first riding holiday, and I am glad we used Equus Journeys to find the perfect one for us - a three day ride through the beautiful Welsh Countryside. Fantastic experience: Just returned from the most amazing riding holiday in Bulgaria. 6 days in the saddle (lots of long canters over fields, walks and trot in the mountains) dispersed with cultural outings, amazing food and wine and wonderful guides. We were so well looked after by Maria and her team while riding and by Iris from Equus who dealt with all our queries when booking and getting us prepared for the trip. Bulgaria is an un-spoilt brilliant place to ride and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a stress free riding holiday!

Fantastic experience: We had a fabulous trip to Kara Creek Ranch in June booked with Equus journeys. Iris helped us from start to finish arranging this trip for 8 ladies. It was our first ranch trip and if you want a real feel of being on a ranch then this is what you will get. Monte and Cassie are so lovely and made us all feel so welcome. Tanner one of the ranch hands is a real horseman and it was great to see them work the cattle so efficiently. We all had lovely horses and there are plenty of types for different levels. We met a lady called ‘Chris’ from the UK who spends time at Kara during the season, Chris was so helpful and showed us how to ‘cinch up’ as we were all English riders! Chris also took us on an amazing trail ride. Another regular was another fellow Englishman called ‘Dick’ he has been going to the ranch for many moons, if you are lucky enough to be there when he is there he will definitely add to your holiday, a few of us joined him on a walk around the ranch and it was so interesting listening to the history about the place. The food was really tasty and plenty of it and Marie is a fabulous cook. The saloon in excellent and we all had some great evenings ‘real coyote ugly moments’! I would thoroughly recommend using Equus journeys as you will feel very looked after and if you want to experience being a cowboy/girl then look no further then Kara Creek!

Fantastic experience: Great travel agency! I was split in between two riding holidays in Portugal, so I asked if they could help answer some questions so that I could make a decision, and Iris went above and beyond in answering all my enquiries! She continued being of great help both before, under and after my travels. Equus Journeys have a personalised travel site just for you when you have booked your travel, where all necessary information is gathered, which makes it so much easier to prepare for your holiday! And on top of that, I got sent a riding diary and other goods in the mail before my travels - incredible care for their customers! 10/10 would definitely recommend booking through them!

Fantastic experience: I'm really happy to have booked my riding holiday with Equus Journeys! Their website is clear and precise, easy to navigate and to fill! The team (Iris in particular) was really kind and helpfull: from the decision making process to the follow up when I (sadly) came home! They were ready to answer any question and to search further for any specific info I needed! My stay in Africa was wonderfull and I can't wait to organise my next holiday with them!

Fantastic experience: I have been home a week now, and still pinch myself to make sure the experience was not a dream. I could not have imagined such a fabulous trip!!! The Benasque Valley was breaqthtaking and awe inspiring. The horses chosen for us were very appropriate and we all bonded with them. They absolutely knew their jobs and kept us safe on the steep inclines and descents, not to mention the steep drops. The owner of Anima Equi, Alvar, and our guide, Raul, were knowledgeable, kind, helpful, fun and went above and beyond to take great care of us. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic holiday in Croatia arranged with Equus Journeys. Iris was so incredibly helpful in advising about riding levels and helping me choose the right trip, and she made sure I was happy with all the details. The food was tasty and copious and the whole team were so welcoming. The horses were forward going but so well behaved and it made for a brilliant ride.

Iris is professional, honest and to the point yet very informative when it came to helping us choose the right holiday. She did an excellent job taking our preferences into consideration and matching us with a list of rides to consider. The Devetaki Plateau trail in Bulgaria is what we set on, and it exceeded our expectations. Fantastic experience: My first riding holiday i decided to go with Equus Journeys and it was the best decision I ever made! My riding trip to Tuscany was a dream, 8 days with gorgeous views and amazing food which i sorely miss. The horses were so sweet and well taken care of, each ride was a different treck through the countryside and perfect for all level of riders. Francisca from Equus helped to organize my trip and patiently answered all my questions, so i knew i was in good hands. I highly recommended them and i cannot wait to go on my next trip!

Fantastic experience: I did my first horse riding tour with Equus last month in Hungary. It was such great fun. Maja's farm was lovely. Maja and her family were so welcoming. The horses were well looked after. The horse riding was a lot of fun! Food was lovely. The sales rep Francisca was so helpful and would respond to any of my queries very fast.

I went to ride the Krka trail in Croatia and it was so much fun! The horses were great and everyone was very nice and helpful. Scenery was absolutely beautiful and it was great to see the countryside and the national park on horseback.

Fantastic experience: A highly professional riding holiday specialist who are a pleasure to deal with! They know their rides well and understand the correct clientele. I was impressed that when I requested information for one ride I was slightly advised against it - showing they cared about my experience and wanted to find the right fit. I went with Jordan as my first ride through Equus Journeys (have been with another agency before) and it was unbelievable and was exactly what I wanted out of a riding holiday. Organisation by Equus was fantastic and a really convenient ‘travel space’ which you sign in to see all the holiday details and information. 5* service and would book through them again!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved my experience booking with Equus for a few nights' stay at Sosian in Kenya. Francisca and Iris were super patient with months of back and forth and indecision on my part - dates, properties, etc. - I really asked a lot of them and they were kind and supportive. Francisca organized all transfers upon arrival in Kenya, internal flights, communications with property etc., and it all went very smoothly. On Sosian: Everyone was incredibly accommodating and kind. The horses are in great shape, and we had the option of riding 2-3 hours in the afternoon and morning. As a solo traveler, I appreciated that breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner, etc. were at a set time and served family style so that there was plenty of opportunity for interaction with others if I desired. Laikipia is a really special ecosystem and landscape - very different from the Mara but equally beautiful, with lots of giraffes, elephants, zebras, lions, and even a leopard.

Fantastic experience: My holiday in Croatia was a delight during July-August 2023 on the Krka Trail Ride with Equus Journeys. Everything was extremely well catered. The food was very good and well made, the staff was very helpful and kind and the horses were very well looked after and well taken care of making the ride very pleasant and enjoyable. Iris in charge of (transportation, booking the trip etc.) was very professional and it made everything very smooth. The description of Equus Journeys is more than authentic and accurate. Overall I was really satisfied with the experience and I will definitely book my next horse-vacation through Equus Journeys!

Fantastic experience: An amazing week riding in Kenya on the Maasai Mara booked with Equus journeys. Our staff was amazing and took excellent care of us. The food was excellent and still can’t believe it was cooked over a camp stove. Horses were very well taken care of and a pleasure to ride. our hosts Gordy and Felecia Church were very experienced and they were a pleasure to get to know personally during the week. The camps we stayed at all had something special. Top of an escarpment, looking over the Mara, and river camp, looking over the river, full of hippopotamuses, and the last camp with plenty of grassy area right in front for zebra and other critters to walk by.

Fantastic experience: In June, my daughter and I went on the FreeRein 4 day Welsh Prince trail ride booked through Equus Journeys. Iris and the team at Equus were great with ensuring that we had all the pre ride arrangements in place, accommodation, transport etc. Their advice on what would be the best riding experience for our level of riding ability and time available was also invaluable in choosing the right trip.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service....the team at Equus Journeys have an abundance of knowledge of the different horse safaris. The horses, people, accommodation etc on the safari were incredible and Equus Journeys passed me on all the details needed, including a packing list! Fantastic experience: I have done 3 trips with Equus Journeys and each one has been an incredible adventure. - Shekhawati Christmas Ride in Rajasthan - Horses, Dunes and Nomads in Morocco - I have just got back from Ranchlands Chico Basin Ranch in Colorado. The Team provide an outstanding and incredible level of detail and customer service for each trip. I feel that they go above and beyond other companies that I have had experience with and I won't go anywhere else now. The organisation is flawless, you can also be assured that they absolutely know what each trip is like having travelled out there themselves. The descriptions of each trip I have found to be completely accurate and honest so there are no surprises! The preparations for each trip have always been super easy and the level of detail for feedback afterwards is really well thought out. As I have travelled multiple times Iris has the measure of what I like and my riding style so has been able to recommend trips. Fantastic experience: In April 2023, I joined Equus Journey's Beaches of Camargue ride. It was absolutely fabulous! It was my first time working with a tour company to organize a horsey holiday and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Fantastic experience: I booked the Taste of the Costa Brava trip in Spain with Equus Journeys which was absolutely amazing and so well organised. Travelling on horseback was the perfect way to experience the Catalonian landscape. Pictures could not do it justice; it was magical. My horse Capri was the most beautiful Andalusian mare. She was really fun to ride as she was full of personality, energy and so well behaved. I cannot fault anything about my experience with Equus Journeys, the service was excellent the whole way through. Iris was always available to help and answer any questions! This was my first equestrian holiday, so I didn’t know what to expect but it’s safe to say it exceeded all my expectations. Fantastic experience: Equus Journeys, Iris, Sophie and Ken are amazing. I went on the Castles of the Loire Valley trip. Amazing horses, scenery, castles, people and food!!! Iris at Equus Journey set everything up for me and were very responsive to all my questions. Sophie & Ken, the owners of the horses, were fantastic!! Their horses are very solid and take care of their riders. The set up of the tour was flawless. Riding up to a castle is the only way to get to a one. I can't say enough about Iris, Sophie and Ken! Fantastic experience: Incredible horse riding trip in Mongolia. Iris was really flexible and gave me all the information needed before the departure. Horses were responsive and dynamics, the locals guides extraordinary, everything was taking care of during our time in yourtes and outside. Mongolia is huge and beautiful, long cantering in the steppes make it unforgettable. Highly recommended
