Fantastic experience: Aardvark (Lucinda Crawford) organised for us an outstanding week at Miavana in Northern Madagascar. Whilst the Hotel is at the top end of the expensive bracket - you get what you pay for (everything is included)- Starting off with collection from the airport (Diego) by Heli, which gave a unique view into the Island. The lodges are insanely large with every creature comfort known. Our private butler Visnu was attentive and on hand to provide whatever required - Laundry done perfectly within a day - preferred booze supplied and available instantly. As you would expect the food was the best we have experienced on the east coast with an extensive Wine list. Service was again amazing with intelligent, communicative staff with a great sense of humour. Lastly the activities including all varieties of water sport was more extensive than hotels ten times their size. In summary I have to applaud Aardvark for pulling this trip together for us - sourcing the resort, their knowledge and attention to detail.

Fantastic experience: This was our third family safari holiday with Aardvark and once again they didn’t disappoint. With meticulous planning and expertise Aardvark will fulfill your wish list choosing wonderful tried and tested camps , lodges and hotels. On this occasion we stayed at Offbeat Mara Camp in the Northern Conservancy of the Masai Mara. The tents are wonderful with flushing loos and wash hand basins, showers on demand. We were in a large family tent, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Daily game drives were at 6.15 (bush breakfast) and 4.30 with lunch, afternoon tea and dinner served in camp. However all is flexible. Our guide Muli was amazing and all the staff so friendly and accommodating. We also did a bush walk with Dennis who was also excellent. We combined our safari with a stay on Lamu island at the wonderful Peponi hotel which we knew of old. Again nothing disappointed. Aardvark organised every little detail for us and it all went very smoothly. We would highly recommend them. Thanks to Francis who helped us.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I had truly amazing adventure on the Africian Explorer riding safari. We encountered fantastic wildlife with the help of knowledgeable guides and memorable sunset moments. Thank you Aardvark for all your assistance and co-ordinating a thoroughly memorable holiday in South Africa and Botswana.

Fantastic experience: We booked our safari with Ardvark and would highly recommend them ! Everything went perfect we visited three different conservancies the Masi Mara , Samburu and Lewa all were spectacular in their own way! We were greeted by representatives at all our internal flights with transport provided so we had no issues whatsoever, as everything was so well organised. There was no overcrowding to view the wildlife at any point and most of the time we were the only vehicle there ! We stayed at Out Back Mara Elephant Watch Camp and Sirikoi Lodge all private conservancy’s and all absolutely incredible in their own way.

Fantastic experience: The only word that could describe our last trip using Aardvark Safari is “Seamless”. My wife and I were introduced to Aardvark Safari by our fellow UK travelling companion. We were travelling from Canada, so we decided to add a week of travel in Cape Town and Franschhoek to wine & dine before heading off on our Safari Adventure. Jo Ainscough and her team at Aardvark Safari took care of every aspect that made our trip effortless. All details were identified in our personal travel itineraries, from the airport meet & greets, numerous ground transportation, light aircrafts, helicopters, 3 hotels, and 3 different safari camps. Which also included lists of what to bring, what not to bring, suggestions about clothing, all documents needed at border crossing etc. In conjunction with African Bush Camp, every step was as described in my first sentence “seamless”. Even when one of our travelling companions was delayed on a BA flight and was to miss her connection to our first safari camp the Aardvark team back in London was already rearranging her schedule to minimize the lost time. This was my first safari and this experience proves that working with people who are experts in their field pays off. Thank you again the whole Aardvark Safari team, we will become one of your many repeat customers.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic guidance from Lucinda at Aardvark she lined us up with the perfect adventurous horseback safari followed by a glorious stint on the beach in a really beautiful hotel it was all just bang on. Everything was covered from the moment we touched down, we had drivers and reps tending to every need it was way more than we ever expected.

Fantastic experience: We planned our retirement dream safari with Jo at Aardvark and were astounded at the service levels, starting in Nairobi, then Arusha to Ngorongoro, the Serengeti where we were overwhelmed by the Great Migration, onto the Masai Mara then flopping in Diani Beach near Mombasa to decompress. The trip couldn’t have been scripted better - we will remember this for the rest of our lives.

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful family adventure. We chose to do a mobile safari which did not disappoint. It was rustic & soul-satisfying. Drumbeat Safaris created a joyful small family feel for us. Cabelo, our guide was beyond excellent & Anna Elise (owner) was hands on with excellent long term staff. Our trip was organized by Jo & communication was outstanding. Our son & wife had a flight cancellation & our first couple of days in Capetown needed adjustment. Jo's contact with the local crew was seamless & we had an amazing time. For those of you nervous about driving 'on the other side', just do it! Self-drive was an amazing way for our family to do the Cape drive. The hospitality in all the places we stayed was 5 - star. We are still going through the vast number of pictures as there are just so many beautiful memories! We are so grateful Jo.

Fantastic experience: Aardvark Safaris and Jo arranged our holiday in Tanzania (where we climbed the Kilimanjaro) and Zanzibar (where we had a rest after the ascent). The holiday was really fantastic and beyond our expectations! The ascent to Kilimanjaro was tough but rewarding and Charles, the guide and his crew were highly professional, supportive and patient. Everything was well organised, the tent, the sleeping bags, the food. We had only a minor problem on the way to Zanzibar as the driver form Duluti Lodge took us at the wrong airport (Kilimanjaro instead of Arusha) but luckily we had sufficient time and we were able to catch the flight to Zanzibar without major troubles thanks also to the assistance of Aardvark’s staff there. Also our stay in Zanzibar was very comfortable and relaxing and the White Sand resort is really a fantastic place where to rest after the effort of ascending the summit of Kilimanjaro. Fantastic experience: We have just come back from a fabulous 4 week African Adventure organised by Jo, visiting Uganda, Rwanda, primarily to see the Mountain Gorillas but both Countries have so much more to offer. Nairobi for an overnight stay at the Giraffe Manor and finally Zanzibar for a rest. Superb Lodges and food made this a memorable holiday.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Aardvark Safaris enough. This is our second holiday with them (having travelled to Uganda and Rwanda c.8 years ago). They organised every aspect of an amazing holiday, with us visiting two incredible safari lodges in Botswana in the Okavango Delta (Rra Dinare Camp and Pom Pom Camp) - and then spending time at Victoria Falls. Aardvark Safaris considered and organised every detail, tailor made to give us the very best holiday experience. Their advice was invaluable - and their 'special touches' including organising helicopter flights over the Delta and then over Victoria Falls was so special. Our holiday exceeded our expectations with everything beautifully arranged for us from spectacular accommodation to seamless transfers. Ahead of our safari we were sent pre-departure information and a suggested packing list, both were really very helpful. Fantastic experience: Just returned to the US after our third trip to Africa with Aardvark. Each time it gets better and better. They are an outstanding company and really listen to their clients goals. My Group of friends have been a nine person group and this pastime three person group. Fantastic experience: Support from Aardvark in planning our first safari trip was very helpful including detailed guidance on preparation and packing. Our detailed itinerary were all on an app on our phones. Meet and greet arrangements and transfers worked like clockwork. The accommodation at both safari destinations was excellent. The first: the OlPejeta Cottages was like a taste of old colonial life, luxury with a cook and butler and our own guide for the game drives. The second, Off Beat Mara was a great camp with luxury tents and a communal area where you ate and shared your days’ excitements over a drink. The Sands on Chale Island resort for our final week on the beach was amazing. The game drives were fantastic, thrilling at times, given the terrain! The guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and their behaviours. Absolutely brilliant holiday. Thank you Aardvark!

Fantastic experience: We wanted to introduce our children to Africa in a careful and grounded way that opened their eyes to both the wonders and the realities of life in this part of the world. Alice made no hesitation in recommending Malawi. We jumped at the chance as it was a country neither of us had visited - so an adventure for all four of us. The itinerary Alice put together was perfect: 3 nights at Mkulumadzi Lodge in the Majete Wildlife Reserve; a short plane ride north to Kuthengo Camp in Longwe NP where we spent 4 nights and finally 5 nights on Lake Malawi at Pumulani Lodge in Monkey Bay. The trip felt seamless and all the logistics ran like clockwork. But just knowing that Alice and the team are there for support meant that we could truly relax. The dramatic entrance to Mkulumadzi across the rope bridge was the gateway to a beautiful oasis of calm, with the rushing Shire river the soundtrack to our stay. Noeleen and Tony were the perfect hosts and they and their team looked after us so well. The food was out of this world! Our guide Mali was incredibly knowledgeable and his and his family’s passion and dedication to conservation was inspiring. We could not have wished for a better introduction to African wildlife for the kids. Epic life long memories of encounters with elephants, giraffe, leopards and lions were absolute highlights. The flight to Kuthengo tented camp in Longwe gave us (especially the kids) a true sense of how vast the wilderness is. When we arrived at Kuthengo, we were met by Jen and our guide Matthews. We meandered our way back to camp along the banks of a very different river - high, flat calm and home to the most incredible variety of birdlife. Twitcher heaven! And the charismatic crocs and hippos kept everyone entertained! The accommodation was everything we had dreamt of and more! Raised on stilts above the water, we slept to the oddly comforting noise of hippos chomping their way through the water-hyacinth right outside our tents. The animal sounds at night did heighten our senses but that was a wonderful part of this rich experience for the kids and was nothing that a bit of musical beds couldn’t resolve! Mike and Jen run the camp at Kuthengo. They were awesome! Their passion for the place was infectious. We were once again so lucky with our experiences on drives but for guests who hadn’t been so lucky, Mike and Jen went to extraordinary lengths to make sure their guests fulfilled their hopes and expectations. They are super dedicated and hard working and their team was just delightful. Another very happy ship! Our days were spent in a combination of boat and land safaris. Being on the water at sunrise was simply stunning. The landscape was so different to Majete and we were again incredibly lucky to enjoy experiences with elephants, lion, leopards and even a glimpse of black rhino! We ended our time in Longwe with a walking safari. That was an absolute highlight for me! It felt so spoiling then to have a further five nights at Pumulani on Lake Malawi. It was like the trip that just kept giving. Pumulani has beautiful views over the lake and the sunsets were stunning. The rooms were airy and really comfortable and the food was, once again, excellent. Highlights of our stay included star/planet gazing, snorkelling with the cichlids, a trek up the hill behind the lodge, a walk through the village and even waterskiing! But it was also the perfect spot for some R&R before we tore ourselves away back home. Aardvark safaris are such an incredible operator. They listen, tailor each trip so carefully and take responsibility not just for putting together amazing itineraries but also for their clients. They care deeply about ensuring that your experience is as wonderful as it can be and go the extra mile to make sure it is. We are so grateful to Alice and her team for putting together this fabulous trip for our family. It will live long in our memories!

Fantastic experience: Aardvark Safaris arranged such an amazing holiday for me. Everything exceeded my expectations. I never thought I would get so close to the gorillas, big cats, and other wildlife. All the guides had outstanding knowledge and excellent eyesight for spotting! Everyone was friendly and helpful and all the meet & greets & transfers happened without issue. Arranging the holiday was made easy as I could contact the same person by phone or email at Aardvark almost anytime. They gave me lots of advice and suggestions. The road journeys and internal flights were an adventure in themselves. All the accommodation was spacious, decorative, and comfortable. The food was very good as well.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Aardvark Safaris who helped us book our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time. Jo was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and managed to make everything work very smoothly and efficiently. We had a few days in Santorini Mozambique where the food was amazing and the service was top - they really did look after us so well and we couldnt have asked for a more perfect place to stay with stunning views and beautiful boutique hotel. Jo arranged for us to take a helicopter to azura benguerra which again was a very smooth transfer. Azura was stunning - the beach/sea was beautiful and we booked in the deep sea fishing and horse riding which were both incredible experiences. The room on the beach was amazing and such a beautiful view from the bedroom. Overall the whole experience couldn't have been any better. Thank you very much for making our perfect honeymoon - we will recommend you to friends and if we are lucky enough we would love to go back to both hotels in the future.

Fantastic experience: We booked our honeymoon through Becky. And wow did give us exactly what we wanted! Our request was a ‘once in a lifetime beach/Safari honeymoon in a country that we would see the most wildlife and have nice weather at the time of year we were travelling!’ 28th August to 6th September. We left it in Becky’s hands and she planned our amazing trip to Kenya. I originally thought of going on the safari first followed by the beach but with her knowledge and expertise she suggested going to beach first to relax after our long haul journey and build up the excitement for Safari. And she was definitely right! We had a bit of a nightmare on arrival to the airport to discover our flight was cancelled (which we had booked ourselves) but I rang Aardvark emergency number and got Francis who was so kind and advised on what to do. When we arrived in Kenya we had one night overnight in Four Points at the airport which was lovely for what we needed, an over night before flying to Diani beach the following day. The drink at the rooftop bar went down a treat after our adventurous adventure getting to Kenya. We went to Kinondo Kwetu along Diani which really was ‘barefoot luxury’. We were made to feel like VIPs and it really was so peaceful, although there was other guests you feel you’ve got the resort to yourself. The staff are so kind, genuine and really want you to have the best experience. The food was spectacular! So fresh and so so tasty. We then headed on to the Masai Mara, we stayed in Offbeat Ndoto camp. It was amazing. I now understand when Becky says when you see the wild life it does take your breath away. Our camp was so beautiful and once again the staff and food were amazing. Although it’s quite a tiring part to the holiday it is all worth it especially when you’re sipping on your sundowner watching lion cubs play in the sunset. This was our first Safari holiday and our standards have been set very high for the future. We can’t thank Becky enough for organising our honeymoon of a lifetime. We would HIGHLY recommend Aardvark to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have just returned from the most amazing safari in Uganda organised by Jo at Aardvark Safari’s. Our up close experiences with gorillas and chimpanzees were incredible. We stayed in four different locations throughout Uganda enjoying, trekking, game viewing by boat and by Jeep. Uganda is stunning and exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic experience: Yet another fantastic safari organised by Jo at Aardvark Safari. This time to North and South Luangwa Zambia. We were looking for a remote walking safari with little or no other tourists. We stayed at five different Remote Africa Safari lodges/camps all unique. Our walking guides were exceptional and made us feel safe in an environment where animals are not accustomed to people. This made it a very exciting and authentic experience.

Fantastic experience: For anyone considering a once in a lifetime trip to Africa, do not look beyond Jo from Aardvark Safaris. We had the most incredible time in Tanzania and are now planning our next magical safari experience with Aardvark.

Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars I would! We spent the most incredible 15 nights in Kenya this August thanks to Becky and Alice at Aardvark. It was the most incredible trip and every single aspect of our itinerary, accommodation and travel was totally perfect for us ( a family of 4 with two boys aged 12 and 9). We stayed at 3 different safari locations chosen to give us a real range of experience in terms of animals and landscape, followed by 5 nights at the beach (essential after safari!). We also did the Karisia walking safari for 3 nights at the recommendation of Aardvark which was a truly magical memorable experience. My family were slightly nervous about the walking safari but Aardvark could not have been more helpful - Becky arranged for Alice the owner to call us, as she had taken her children on the same walking safari when they were younger than ours, and she was able to answer all our questions and give us total comfort. We loved it. This sort of personal attention and consideration for guests needs and concerns is what set Aardvark apart, Thank you so much, can't wait for our next African adventure.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from an amazing 2 weeks in Kenya. Planning a holiday for 10, with some very specific requests of places to visit, Becky, at Aardvark, put together a wonderful itinerary. Her attention to detail was fantastic and everything we asked to do was booked and had been relayed to the ground crew in Kenya - a full day in Nairobi with 5 different places to visit, three internal flights and two drivers to get us to our four locations for various safaris and then time to relax at the beach. The accommodation she had suggested was beyond our expectations and she even arranged a surprise birthday cake for one of our party at our stay in The Ark. Everyone in our party - aged between 57 - 11 yrs - agreed that it had been the best holiday ever. Thank you Becky!!!

Fantastic experience: This was a once in a lifetime safari trip... until the wonderful Lucinda at Aardvark sent us on such an amazing trip we are already eager to return. Lucinda only had two weeks to arrange a last minute trip for February half term and she completely nailed it - we are first time safari goers so had no idea what to expect, she arranged the most fabulous two camp trip to Kenya (Tangulia Mara Camp and Ol Pejeta Safari cottages), which gave us two wonderfully different environments and camps to appreciate the amazing Kenyan wildlife and hospitality. Fantastic experience: I booked Horizon Horseback through Aardvark and absolutely loved it! Jo was very helpful in picking the right safari/option for me as it was my first time on a horseback. The team at Horizon couldn’t be nicer - I haven’t been looked after this well outside of my home before. I thoroughly enjoyed riding for about 6h/day through the expansive landscape. We had 3 nights in Nairobi as well as 4 flights on Safarilink to get to our various camps as well as a last day to spend in in Nairobi itself. Becky organised it all and it went like clockwork. Drivers were there to meet us every step of the way, in advance of our arrival times and the hotels that Becky sorted for us were faultless. She even arranged for our driver to take us to a brilliant restaurant in Nairobi on our way home. Like all great holidays, this one had many different perspectives adding to the totality of its attraction those taken together made it so unique and enjoyable. Amazing horses extremely well looked after, knowledgeable and pleasant guides and support staff and of course unsurpassed and accessible wildlife. Just the entire package and facilitated & supported extremely well by Aardvark Safaris.

Fantastic experience: I have just returned from 16 days in northern Botswana and Victoria Falls. My travels comprised a tailor--made package organised by Aardvark Safaris. As someone well travelled, this was my first venture with Aardvark and also my first safari of 10 days duration. Prior to travelling, Lucinda at Aardvark listened to my aspirations, recognised that I am a lone woman traveller of senior years and recommended Letaka Safaris, organised other locations for me to stay in either side of my safari and my flights. Throughout the preparation, very high levels of professionalism were demonstrated and receipt of a very slick pre departure package, including a ring-bound itinerary (the envy of fellow travellers!), including a southern African wildlife book, made this all the more professional. I was not disappointed with anything! My two nights’ stay in Maun, in advance of my safari, were wonderfully relaxing and at no time did I feel abandoned or scared. The package organised by Lucinda ensured I was well looked after and collected and delivered to all organised locations. The 9 nights and 10 full days Letaka Safari, shared with four other fellow travellers from across the globe (two of whom were also lone travellers) was a truly amazing experience. Three nights were spent in each of three locations: (1) Moremi Game Reserve, (2) Khwai Community Area within the Okavanga Delta and (3) Savuti district within Chobe National Park. Each offered variance in landscape and consequently wildlife observed. Days stared at 05.30 with breakfast before departing camp by 06.30 to make the most of cool temperatures, fabulous light for photos and wildlife spottings. We returned to camp each day for lunch and a rest from the heat (40ish degrees most days), freshly made cake and tea at about 3.30 p.m.before departing on safari again at about 4 p.m. until dusk. Food was always excellent and as the only person eating a vegetarian diet, I was never disappointed with food prepared especially for me. Each day had a new highlight and everyday was different. One particular highlight was spotting an endangered and very rare animal I had previously never heard of - an aardwolf. Our very experienced and knowledgeable guide, Chaka, of thirty years, had not seen one for about five years previously and was chuffed to bits I had spotted it, even though I did not realise what I had spotted! My safari was followed by three nights at a wonderful lodge in Victoria Falls. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone! A magical place! I am not known as someone to usually enjoy camping. Indeed this was the first time I had slept under canvas for about 20 years. Whilst camping on this trip did, occasionally, present personal challenges I would not have missed this opportunity for anything. Sleeping under canvas enabled me to fully embrace the night time sounds of the bush which I would have missed if staying in alternative accommodation. All in all, my Letaka Safari and extensions either side, organised by Aardvark Safaris, was a truly wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone and will savour for ever.

Fantastic experience: This is the second riding safari I have been on through Ardvark Safaris. The first time was incredible and second time round even better. Most recently we went to Namibia and I was totally blown away by everything...it was utterly amazing. From the extremely good communication and planning to excellent guys on the ground, we knew from the start we were in good hands. And that actual safari was a true trip of a lifetime; a wild desert adventure, sleeping under the stars with friends and beautiful horses as companions. The team were very professional, very caring of the horses and they looked after us beautifully, with hot showers, great food and cool drinks at the end of each amazing day. I would hugely recommend this safari and Ardvark should be the first port of call for anyone looking for an African riding adventure.

Fantastic experience: So…. I don’t know actually where to start. I’ve just returned from what I believe to have been the trip of a lifetime in Namibia with Alice Gully and a heap of new and old friends alike. Little did I realise that by signing up to this trip, no, expedition, that I would be returning home brimming with a renewed zest for travel and exploration. Riding across the Namib desert on fit and beautifully designed safari horses took my breath away - I hadn’t comprehended that I had needed such an adventure! To have been able to share it with 11 other excellent adventurers was quite something; Alice threaded her most excellent sense of humour and enthusiasm through the 10 days of desert/canyon riding, observing, chattering and slumbering under the stars. Everything was thought of and we were well prepared for all eventualities other than for the sheer wonder of the Namibian horse safari experience. Tangulia camp, owned and run by the Masai, was a delightful experience. Fantastic experience: We have just experienced the very best of our ten Safaris, on this occasion, arranged by Aardvark. They kept the faith with us through the pandemic and delivered on every promise. This was a family safari and we travelled with our daughter and son in-law: also our grandchildren. In Kenya, ground arrangements went very smoothly. In Laikipia, the family accommodation was superb. Guiding, on vehicles and when we opted to walk, was excellent. We spent time with more families of elephants and Reticulated Giraffe than we have ever experienced. In addition, we saw lots of plains game, rare black leopard, the biggest 'normal' leopard we have ever seen and enjoyed our 'sundowners' among the beasts. In Meru, a camp had been set up for us and we had many more close encounters with eles, giraffe, lions, rhino and hippos, to name but a few. This was a full-on safari. Beyond our expectations by every measurement. It was undoubtedly life-changing for the grandkids. We are now in the process of sorting out hundreds of photographic memories. Thanks to Aardvark and to Steve and the 'Wilderness teams' in Laikipia and Meru. As a family, we cannot recommend them strongly enough.

Fantastic experience: Having met Richard at the Badminton horse trials a few years ago, we had hoped we could organise the proverbial "trip of a lifetime!" We plucked up the courage in January and Jo got to work to plan our first ever trip to Africa. From Lusaka and Livingstone in Zambia to Botswana, and into the Okavango Delta to Mauritius every day had an amazing experience . 3 days on mobile safari with Drumbeat Safaris , run by the amazing Annelies and guided by Scott , we had the most surreal days we could ever imagine. Scott's tracking skills made sure there wasn't a dull moment . A tented camp beside a lagoon with hippos and other "guests" was the best way to see the Delta. Followed by a couple of days at Khwai Bush Camp in the Khwai Concession were different but just as fascinating and our guide Banda was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining . From tracking leopards to being up close to a group of young lions every moment created more respect for the natural world . Jo then managed to get us onto a beach in Mauritius to decompress from the amazing experiences of the Delta . We can't recommend the trip and the skills of Jo and everyone at Aardvark enough. We are hoping that one day we can do another "trip of a lifetime"

Fantastic experience: I would thoroughly recommend Aardvark Safaris. We travelled to Kenya and visited Speke’s camp in Masai Mara, then Sosian Camp and lastly the beach at Kinondo Kwetu. Becky organised our trip and everything was amazing. We travelled with our 16 and 15 year old sons and it was the perfect holiday for us. Lots to see and do with some relaxation at the end. Fantastic experience: Aardvark were superb in every possible way. We booked our holiday before the Covid pandemic and were forced to postpone our trip twice. None of this was a problem to Aardvark who absorbed the issues and continued to put the customer first. The advice they offered to us in the build up was spot on. They managed to tailor the safari exactly to our needs and our character. We visited Khwai Bush Camp and Linyanti Expeditions Camp. Very different locations, one tent based. The hosts and guides were outstanding. We learned that the secret behind a good safari is the quality of the guide. Both of our guides, JR and Max, were able to track a great variety and number of wildlife, and they always prioritised animal welfare over a chase for a good photo - we managed to achieve both! From start to finish, including the follow up, Aardvark have been outstanding.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from an amazing family trip to Botswana and South Africa with children aged 12 and 9. This was our first trip to Africa with the children and Francis planned the perfect adventure for us. We spent 5 nights on safari in Botswana which was beyond our expectations and we were genuinely really sad to say goodbye to our guide. The next 7 nights were spent in South Africa exploring Cape Town, Hermanus and then the wine region. Francis planned the perfect route for us and the accommodation was amazing. Fantastic experience: Having asked Aardvark to help plan a trip to Botswana and Zambia, Francis delivered beyond all expectations. His advice was to go to the Kalahari desert for 3 nights, then in to the Delta for 3 more to experience the two extremes, and then up to near Victoria Falls for a more relaxed 4 nights. He was spot on and we had the most incredible and different time in all locations. All 3 Lodges were amazing in their own way, food was exceptional and the staff were unbelievably hospitable and friendly. We saw and did so much that words here would not do the trip justice; everything was perfect and I would have to be very piccy to find fault. We were a family group of 3 generations and we all had the trip of a life time. I cannot thank or recommend Francis and Aardvark enough.

He was always prompt in replying to our numerous emails / telephone calls, providing advise on locations that would best suit our needs and in recommending we stay in the one country rather than cross borders into Uganda, to avoid unnecessarily stressful Covid travel restrictions. Francis really did go out of his way in putting together a fabulous personalised package, ensuring we had all dietary requirements catered for over the two weeks in three very different but exceptionally fabulous locations - lodge, camp and beach hotel! We were even treated to a couple of joint surprise birthday cakes. Fantastic experience: Francis put together a fantastic life experience of a trip for us, and met every obstacle that was thrown our way, dealing with it calmly and effectively. Our original trip to Zimbabwe and South Africa was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid, and despite several false starts over the next two years, we finally set off in March. The choices of accommodation throughout our three week stay were spot on, from hotels, safari lodges, aparthotels and guest houses. BA did their best to scupper our best laid plans, but Francis and his African colleagues ensured that they altered our itinerary, making sure that we did not miss out on any of our attractions due to flight delays and cancellations. We will definitely be using Aardvark Safaris for future trips.

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from a 2 week trip to Kenya in August planned by Richard Smith at Aardvark Safaris. This is the 3rd trip to Africa that Richard has planned for us. The first was a trip to Madagascar in 2019. We were so pleased with Richard's work on that trip that we had him plan a trip for us to Uganda and Zambia for 2020. That trip was postponed until 2021, but when it was about a month before our departure Uganda stiffened their entry requirements due to COVID and we did not feel comfortable going there this year and had it postponed another year. So on short notice we asked Richard to propose another trip and he suggested Kenya, where we could see the Great Migration. Richard suggested 3 locations and several options in each location, so we chose the ones we thought best, which all turned out to be excellent choices. We spent 4 nights each at Elsa's Kopje in Meru National Park, Lewa House in the Lewa Downs Conservancy, and Rekero Camp in the Masai Mara. Each location had excellent accommodations and food but with somewhat different terrain and animals. Of our 12 nights in safari camps, we were the only guests for 7 nights. There were very few other vehicles at Meru and Lewa and many fewer in the Masai Mara than normal for this time of year. It's a great time to go to Africa! We felt quite safe the entire time, probably safer from COVID than we feel at home in the US. The country and especially all the safari camps take COVID seriously. It was easy to get the COVID test we needed to return to the US. We highly recommend Richard and Aardvark Safaris. Richard is so knowledgeable about the options and so responsive and through in his planning that we feel extremely well taken care of. He provides a detailed written itinerary about the trip as well as more information online. All of the arrangements in Kenya went very smoothly, including flights and car transfers between camps and between camps and Nairobi. It has never been a problem for us in the US to use Richard in the UK because he quickly responds by email to our requests and questions and is available to talk by phone as desired.

Fantastic experience: I used Aardvark Safaris to book our HoneyMoon Serengeti Safari trip in January for October travel. The service from our first contact to the end of our holiday was nothing short of exceptional. The initial sales experience was really good, they were not pushy, provided sound knowledge of the area and were very competitively priced. The after-sales care was the best I've ever experienced, Becky at Aardvark quite literally personally managed our entire trip and proactively advised of actions to take to prepare for the trip and suggested the specialist insurance company who would provide cover during the Covid pandemic. It was our first time using Aardvark and it hopefully will not be the last, I would highly recommend them. We had an incredible 6 day safari with Nomad Tanzania in the Serengeti and due to the pandemic we uniquely had what seemed like the entire Plains to ourselves. If you're thinking of going you definitely should, not only are you supporting the local economy during a very challenging time, you'll also truly have a once in a lifetime Safari experience.

Fantastic experience: We went to see Aardvark last year on the strong recommendation of a close friend who has had very many great safaris under their care. After detailed discussions with Richard Smith, they put together a highly personalised itinerary that exactly fulfilled our requirements. In February the comprehensive ticket pack arrived and we looked forward to a magical time in Zimbabwe. Then, of course, Coronavirus blew up and all flights were cancelled and therefore the whole trip. Aardvark went to great lengths to find alternative trips for us later this year and into 2021. However my 'shielded' health restrictions now precluded any long flights by plane and we had to abandon all our travel plans for the foreseeable future. Lucinda at Aardvark, as she had been all through this time, was helpful, professional and sympathetic to our new situation. I cannot over-emphasise how much we appreciate her help and really wish that we were able to travel with Aardvark in the future.
