Fantastic experience: We had so much fun with this app!

Positive experience: The area is a small semi-village with a cafe and a few gift shops, similar to the shops found everywhere. It’s a nice stop and a place to relax on a trip to the north. I traveled with a bus driver in a group, and I do not recommend joining the Scottish groups to visit the area.

Fantastic experience: Lovely little town to stroll through, but not much to experience unless you go on a boat tour.

Fantastic experience: I learned about David and Portree Walking Tours through a YouTube video. My wife and I planned a 3 day trip to the island at the end of January. Unfortunately there are no tours available during this period however after contacting David he sent us an email with lots of helpful information on suitable Winter walks and good restaurants to visit. Fantastic experience: The excursion with David was great. At first, I was afraid that David would cancel the tour, since I was alone and I sent him the request quite late. However, for David, there was no problem and he organized a private tour through the center and attractions of Portree. Since David is part of one of the oldest families on the island, he knows plenty of stories, anecdotes, and legends about the place and its inhabitants. Moreover, being from the area, he knew several places that are not known to tourists which are worth a visit. Apart from the very interesting and useful information, his friendly and knowledgeable way of telling stories made this historical excursion in Portree one of the best I have ever done. Absolutely recommended!

Fantastic experience: The tour with David was fantastic. At first, I was worried that it wouldn't happen because I was alone and had asked relatively late. But it was absolutely no problem for David; he organized a private tour for me through the culture and history of Portrees. Since he himself is part of a long-established family, he knows an incredible amount about the land and its people and has numerous anecdotes from the history of the place. He has a very lively way of telling stories and presents a successful mix of historical facts and personal tales. Since he knows his hometown and the island so well, he also has great tips on where tourists should go and where to enjoy good food. When we had trouble with our rental car the next day, he also helped us out, even though that would absolutely not have been his problem. So definitely one of the best walking tours I've participated in, and a super friendly and helpful tour guide.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely loved our time on Skye and this tour of Portree was the highlight of our trip! David was a charming and funny guide who knows his stuff and really looked after us. We stopped off at some beautiful spots and learned loads of stuff that you don’t see in the guide books! Thank you!
