Fantastic experience: Jo & I joined the BBHols in Bali 2025 for the first time, being very green in this sport, but with a long time background in surf board stand up riding. We have been on many surf trips but not like one like this, continuous support from Rob & Grant turning us from bus drivers into bodyboard riders. Love the food, surf spots, and everyone we met. For myself as a surfer it has improved my overall ability and knowledge. Thankyou!

Fantastic experience: A great coaching weekend with this crew, Alex, Damian and Harry. Alex filmed and employed a drone for some rather useful aerial footage whilst Damian and Harry were in the water giving in water lessons, tips and encouragement. Even from the outset a review of my 'trustee board' revealed I could be doing so much better with a more rigid, i.e. with stringers, board and the reasons why were explained. Without asking the team lent me a better board and I have to say I did feel the difference. There is so much to be gained by shared experiences when reviewing all the film/drone footage at the end of the day and not just focussing on your own footage of that spectacular 'wipe out'! I feel that I have come away with a renewed vigour and confidence for the waves and have already put to good use, all of the tips and lessons gleaned from my weekend with this great outfit.

Fantastic experience: I went on the South Sumatra trip with BH. Excellent stay, impeccable logistics. The quality of the spots is simply incredible, with some world-class waves! The BH team, coaches, and photographers are extremely helpful and professional. I really appreciated the video feedback and technical analyses. I would do it again without hesitation!

Fantastic experience: Cracking weekend course in Newquay. I learned so much and had hours of fun, albeit it was a bit chilly, it being February. The instructors Damian and James were great teachers: friendly, helpful and knew their craft inside out. They made sure everyone in the group got feedback and encouragement. I would wholeheartedly recommend Bodyboarding Holidays based on my experience. I can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic experience: I've just returned from Bodyboard Holidays "El Salvador" trip. This trip was so Epic, fun and educational. I should have read more as to what I signed up for as I had no idea I'd be getting filmed, photographed and taught daily for "how to improve". I have surfed Boggie for many years, even surfing places such Australia, Hawaii and Costa Rica. I haven't surfed for about 10 years and doing this trip helped perfect my skills. Each day Rob and Joao constantly challenged me to improve....and well, I did! I've already talked with two other friends and we plan to book for next year's adventure! I have much more to learn and I'm looking forward to my next adventure with Bodyboard Holidays!!! Thanks Rob and Joao, you are both really amazing people, thank you for your help!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my trip to El Salvador with Bodyboard Holidays. I traveled from the New England area and getting to the destination was seamless. Rob and his crew have every detail and question you have figured out before you even ask. It's clear that they have put years and years of work into making these trips so memorable. I could try to explain every minute of my experience but it wouldn't do it justice. If you're thinking about going, whether you're a pro or a beginner, do yourself a favor and just book it!

Fantastic experience: With apologies to Shakespeare: "How do I love Bodyboarding Holidays? Let me count the ways." If you want to be as good as you can at bodyboarding, as fast as possible, then do one of these bodyboarding clinics. You go out every morning to surf, like you would any other time, having tons of fun and no pressure, but the entire session is recorded on video, and the pros are out in the water with you not only surfing with you, but with a GoPro camera to capture some of the action. After breakfast, there's a frame-by-frame analysis of the session, pointing out mistakes/deficiencies in technique and what to do to fix it. Seeing your bodyboarding every day for a week, what you're doing, and how it compares with the correct technique is invaluable and makes for rapid improvement. Then we go out in the afternoon for a free-surf session and put it into practice. The whole experience completely transformed my bodyboarding, almost in the blilnk of an eye. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Rob is a wonderful coach. If you are beginner or more advanced they will get you better! I really enjoyed our trip to Costa Rica. Rob and his team are well organized. I highly recommended booking. I promise you will have a great time.

Fantastic experience: We travelled to El Salvador with BodyBoard Holidays in January 2025. This was honestly the trip of a lifetime! We had so much fun and it was such an incredible experience! Each day was filled with incredible body boarding, instruction and feedback. All of the instructors, Rob and Maeve and Joao were fantastic in their own right. I am a beginner and I learned so much each day! They really knew how to cater to both the beginners and the advanced participants and make it valuable to each of us. The trip was fantastically well organized, and you could see the team working hard to make it perfect for us! El Salvador was beautiful and sunny with wonderful waves, great food and hospitality. We had such an amazing time that we immediately started discussing which of the BBH trips we will do next year! Can’t wait for the next one!

Fantastic experience: ‍♂️ Just returned from the most epic Surf trip to El Salvador! A huge thank you to Bodyboard-Holidays, their connection with the locals and allowing us to surf a secret spot was truly an amazing experience. I joined a fantastic group of adventurous people from all over. From perfect waves, to unforgettable friendships, this trip was truly a dream come true! This was my first time ever body boarding. Rob, Mave, and Joao are amazing coaches with a huge passion for the sport! I learned so much from them. Truly world class!! Staying at The Beach Break in El Zonte was paradise! friendly locals treated us to mouthwatering meals that added to an amazing experience. Plus, I finally learned to bodyboard! I can't wait from my next surf trip with this crew in 2026!

Fantastic experience: ATTENTION ALL BODYBOARDERS! This is a must vacation for anyone looking to improve their skills or even learn the sport of bodyboarding. I just got back from the El Salvador trip and am still stoked about all the epic waves there were to catch. The instructors Rob, Mave and Joao were incredibly helpful and supportive. I've been a bodyboarder for almost 8 years and now realize that my technique needed work. This was honestly one of the best vacations that I have ever experienced. Fantastic experience: Been dreaming of going somewhere exotic with Bodyboard Holidays, I saw that they were going to be doing a weekend session with World Champion Iain Campbell when I was going to be in England. The whole trip was fantastic, they answered all of my questions prior to and post-booking. I learned a lot from a World Champion, and had a ton of fun with the group on Saturday & Sunday. Looking forward to booking with them when I have the opportunity to join them again!

Fantastic experience: Just back from an AMAZING bodyboard coaching weekend in Newquay in Nov 2024, during storm Bert. The wind was super strong and gusty the entire time but somehow Rob and the team managed to find great waves both days. It was such a great experience being in the waves with bodyboarders with similar abilities and getting hints and tips in the water from Rob at the same time. Dedication by Alex, videoing through the wind and rain, meant we had really productive feedback sessions on land each day as well. I know I’ll be a better bodyboarder because of this trip and I’m already considering booking another trip with them.

Fantastic experience: As I write this I am flooded with wonderful memories of our recent October trip to Portugal with Bodyboard Holidays. The entire team with Bodyboard Holidays was phenomenal from start to finish. Excellent communication and meticulous planning set us all up for an amazing trip. Our group was well taken care of by our wonderful guides, Mave and Joao, who went above and beyond daily. They seemingly seamlessly juggled our complex daily adventures taking into account the diversity of our group and successfully led us to arrive at the right times with the best waves despite dynamic, ever-changing conditions. Our accommodations in Lagos were amazing and perfectly situated for easy access to all manner of activities. The stoke levels of our group were running high the whole time. It was a wonderful way to experience this beautiful corner of the world and it is my great pleasure to offer my highest recommendation and scheme of the next opportunity we can book another adventure.

Fantastic experience: I have just returned from my second international trip with Bodyboard Holidays. This time it was to Nusa Lembongan, it did not disappoint. The location was like paradise, waves were crystal clear barrels. The groups of like minded bodyboarders of all abilities supported and encouraged each other in and out of the water. Having coaching from Iain Campbell was such a bonus and Rendy (@Aquaman_bali) to capture great pictures of us all in action, for on land coaching and to take home. I had a blast and can't wait to book on to another one.

Fantastic experience: Just got back from the Nusa Lembongan trip. Such a sick week and cant reccomend it enough. The training, footage and Robs time tested knowledge of surf spots, tides, and currents mean that while ypur surfing the best waves the location has to offer, you can be sure that youre safe whatever your skill level. Fortunate enough to be joined on the week by Iain Campbell, whose stoke in and out of the water and knowledge of board riding really helps identify what you need to do to take your boog to the next level. Rendy the photographer had his finger on the button wherever we were and didnt take a break. Super hard working. Super sound lad. Cheers

Fantastic experience: Bali - Nusa Lembongan This surf trip has been a dream come true! Rob Barber was our host and instructor. Rendy was our videographer and had wealth of local knowledge. We also had World Champion Iain Campbell along to provide instruction and share his bodyboarding experiences. Rob, Rendy and Iain took great care of us. All we had to do was show up and surf! All accommodations were clean, spacious and comfortable. Rob, Rendy and Iain had so much knowledge about the ocean and bodyboarding and the location. The waves were perfect. Warm, barrels to be had and always fun no matter your skill level. We surfed every day of the trip, some days twice! After every session we got video analysis from Rob and Iain to give us tips and tricks to improve our riding. Rob and Iain are both passionate about bodyboarding and sharing their knowledge with us. We even took a break from surf to swim with giant manta and sea turtles. If you have a chance to go with Bodyboard Holidays to Nusa Lembongan do it!!! To surf world class waves with knowledgeable, passionate professional bodyboarders is worth it!!! Truly a dream come true! Thank you Rob, Iain and Rendy. This will not be my last tour with Bodyboard Holidays!

Fantastic experience: Another great BH coaching weekend ticked off. I was thinking what to write that maybe useful as its all to easy to slip into the superlatives of these weekends. It goes without saying that the coaching and analysis is top draw but what I wanted to stress is don't be put off if you think that you'll rock up and be intimidated by the levels of other bodyboarders. Its not like that at all, everyone’s in it together and you'll get just as much from watching and learning from others. There's no judgement just encouraging advise that will have you coming out the water better than when you went in.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at the Wales coaching weekend! Booking process was smooth and easy, and communication in the run-up to the weekend was clear, including some changes that were made to get the most out of a less-than-ideal forecast. The coaching team, as well as the rest of the group, were super supportive. Coaching quality and safety were first class, and tailored to each participant. Being a beginner in group of mixed abilities can sometimes be intimidating, but not with these guys - the encouragement and positivity was amazing, and gave me the confidence to push the edges of my comfort zone. Fantastic experience: Just had a fantastic weekend with the BB Holidays team in Gower and at The Wave in Bristol. I really wanted to improve my skills and technique and Rob, Alex and Jacob were very supportive and helpful using live coaching as well as online tools to give me insight and the tips I needed to make a difference. Our group was mixed ability which they navigated brilliantly, making everyone feel welcome whilst attending to individual requirements. Overall the vibe was really positive and supportive from the coaches to all of the attendees; very much what I was hoping for. The BB Holidays team really showed their experience and passion for bodyboarding and how positive the community is around this sport. I highly recommend anyone of any skill level to get involved!

Fantastic experience: I am a really novice boarder but thought it’d be fun to learn in a group of women. It was a great holiday. North Cornwall is an iconic place to learn and the surf staff were friendly and approachable- Rob and Iain were so enthusiastic and great teachers. I’d highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: Just at the end of a secret Morocco trip. I was a little dubious at first as I was booking solo but I can honestly say I've had the best week. Great accommodation, great food, lovely people and of course empty line ups. I don't mean quiet, I mean empty. Mave is a great guy giving progressive coaching to better my technique gently pulling me out of my comfort zone. Groups, couples, solo trips. Doesn't matter... Book it

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Coaching Weekend at Croyde - May 2024 Completely blown away by the whole Bodyboard Holidays set-up and business ethos….. I laughed, I cried (happy tears), I learnt soooooo much and I’ve booked onto another coaching weekend straight away. What an absolute privilege to be coached by a talented team, who clearly excel at their sport and love working together to share their passion with others. I’m very happy in the water (as a canoeist and open water swimmer) but with virtually no bodyboarding experience and being Neurodivergent, I was quite apprehensive - I had absolutely no need to worry. First off, the booking process and pre-course info was spot on, I spoke to people over the phone and all my questions were answered. Really importantly for me, I felt safe (emotionally and physically) both before & during the weekend and the team are still answering my questions now! I progressed much further than I ever thought I could, which was all down to the quality of instruction I received and the supportive feedback from the coaching team and the rest of the people on the weekend. The video analysis sessions were hugely valuable for me – not only could I see really clearly what I was doing (in relation to what I thought I was doing!) and how I could improve, the comparisons to much more experienced folks gave me tangible goals for the future. Huge thanks to Rob, Damian, Warrick, Alex and Matt as well as everyone else involved in @bodyboardholidays – the whole weekend was a delight, I loved the fun we had and the joy it brought and I can’t wait for the next one.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly center with quite responsive staff. Alex was best in guiding to plan prior a visit to Newquay. I had private lesson with my 12 yrs old son with James which ended up my son became better bodyboarder than me. They were also very flexible with returning hours while hiring suits for the family. Next step is bodyboard weekends.

Fantastic experience: Joined a camp with Rob and Grant at Bali, we had wonderful time. Very professional coaching. I have learnt knowledge of weather and tides for good waves. Accomplished my mission to be able catching green waves, also many other details to improve my bodyboarding skills. Fantastic experience: What a great coaching weekend in Newquay, all pre session information was perfect. Met our 2 instructors Damian and Warrick for the weekend who were very welcoming and passionate about our sport of bodyboarding! The time that went into planning and searching the best conditions paid off with epic conditions. To have Damian in the water coaching was brilliant very experienced and able to make wave by wave suggestions and feedback made for a very progressive session. The video footage Warrick captured was brilliant amazing quality capture from the beach, which meant the reviews were relaxed and smooth whilst being very informative focusing on key achievable changes to my techquie....and great to take it all home to review again. Fantastic experience: El Salvador 2020 - Where to start, another amazing holiday with Bodyboard Holidays. Location and choice of accommodation is unreal, surf just meters from the camp. From amazing sunrises and sunsets every day to surf conditions for all abilities. The team at Bbhols really go the whole nine yards to make sure your bodyboarding progresses with excellent coaching and video analysis from the experts. Would highly recommend taking the photo and video package, as definitely something to savour once your home. The accommodation ticks all the boxes with fantastic food and drinks. All the staff at the camp are friendly and quick to action any requests. We had the pleasure of bodyboard royalty attending this camp, Jay and Vicki Reale. Being in the water and listening to their stories put the icing on the cake. This is one very satisfied customer. Get yourself booked up on this one for 2021, it will sell out.

Fantastic experience: I loved this weekend in Newquay with like-minded bodyboard lovers and got great advice by Damian, Warrick, Sean and James, helping to get rid of bad habits and improve my techniques ! Good footage to look back at home. Lovely scenery down here in Cornwall, super swell, great weather and only 10-11 hours door to door from The Hague by train.

Being a repeat customer and this being my third trip to El Salvador. The team just keep improving trip after trip, which is strange really as it was so good the first time around. Fantastic experience: This was one of the best experiences of my life. I will definitely participate again, and I 100% recommend this experience to anyone interested in bodyboarding, no matter your level of experience or ability (mine was very poor upon arrival and truly transformed by the end of the trip). Ability: I went with my wife and we were both noobs; we have been riding boards for some years but only on the shore line jumping in broken waves without fins. I had the goal of leveling up my abilities on this trip, and the coaching itself, the peace of mind from their life-guard skills, and the general assistance and knowledge provided, transformed my riding abilities. I met and exceeded all my goals for this trip. I got comfortable wearing fins and duck diving big waves as they crashed overhead. I got out past the break for the first time with encouragement and a little help from Rob, and by the end I was comfortable paddling out on my own. I caught the biggest wave of my life, which was really scary at first. But after I got the courage and encouragement to go for it, and I actually did go for it, I realized that I really could do it and learned firsthand that wiping out isn’t so bad, and it was immediately less scary. On the last day of our trip I did a bottom turn for the first time, and I can't put into words how amazing that felt. The education was life-changing for me. I have nobody who can teach me at home, but had long dreamed of being able to catch waves like I see on youtube. The support, encouragement, and push when I needed it, combined with the video analysis helped rapidly progress my skills throughout the course of the week, and gave me the confidence to realize that I can get out there and catch waves. And I did! Without exaggeration I progressed 100x more in just a week with their coaching than I had in years of hanging out inside the break and jumping in waves by myself. Taking what I've learned, I can now ride at home in ways I couldn’t before. If you're willing to try, you're going to improve on this trip. Location: Paradise. This place is perfect. We did the Costa Rica trip. You won't want to leave. Accommodations: Perfect. Hundred million dollar view, amazing staff, amazing food, walking distance to all amenities, AC & fans, comfy beds, private deck and hammocks, our room had a kitchen (although not sure if they all do), beautiful modern bathrooms, 5 star. Food: 5 star, dozens of amazing restaurants nearby if you decide to switch it up from the excellent and largely healthy food options in the hotel's restaurant, groceries and all amenities near by. Vibes: Perfect. Everyone was chill and supportive, nobody was chirping us for our beginner skills, but rather were excited for us as we progressed. Not competitive, everyone just stoked on bodyboarding. The best trip of my life. I cannot say enough good about the quality of the planning and organization, the professionalism, the thought that has gone into the location and accommodation experience, and the country and people of Costa Rica. It is safe and hot and beautiful and really paradise. The team at Bodyboard-Holidays are A++++. On top of their professionalism as tour directors and vacation planners, the coaching they provide is unlike anything I believe exists on the planet. They're experts who clearly love what they're doing, who are patient in their approach (I definitely must have tested that patience at times), and who literally transformed me from someone just jumping around in white water on the shore into someone who has the confidence to paddle out past the break, execute mediocre yet functional duckdives, and someone who has dropped in on a six foot wave and can now actually catch some waves (and they provide the video and photo evidence to prove it!). I will 100% go on another one of these trips, and if you have dreams of learning to bodyboard, are willing to try your best (I’m definitely not the most athletic or in shape but just tried my best) you can really learn how to do it in under a week. Best trip of my life, these guys are amazing!!!

Fantastic experience: I think it is important to spread the word about Bodyboard Holidays to those that love to bodyboard (or have fun for that matter), so posting this response here as well as tripadvisor. To put in clear terms, these are the Jedi Masters of bodyboarding! We have been on the El Salvador and Costa Rica trips and the amazing coaching has completely upped our game! We have been bodyboarding for about eight years, but for all intensive purposes only after Rob and his amazing coaches (Joao and Mave you rock) taught us how it’s done, have we really been able to experience this amazing sport to the fullest! The instruction is truly top-of-the-line. It is mind blowing how quickly you can learn maneuvers - from the basics to the more advanced. This is truly for all levels. They are incredibly well organized (special thanks to Alex), and make traveling easy. They do an amazing job of arranging great accommodations with fantastic food to boot! We have already signed up for our next trip and plan to do as many as possible! Thank you Bodyboard Holidays - The Force is definitely with you and all who attend your epic vacations!

Fantastic experience: I am one week returned from the Costa Rica trip and still totally exhausted but buzzing from the trip of a lifetime. My background is that i bodyboarded a bit when I was a kid (when Rob, Jay & Vicki were all over the bodyboarding magazines & videos), did nothing for 15 years then picked up surfing around 10 years ago. I was becoming more and more frustrated with surfing and always had an itch to try bodyboarding again, spurred on by the excellent Bodyboard Holidays Youtube channel, so last year I bought myself a board and fins and booked onto the Costa Rica trip in Jan 24. I had some reservations about sharing a room as I am quite a private person and also about my ability as I had only recently picked up bodyboarding again, within 5 minutes of arriving at the accommodation any reservations were out the window and I was totally at ease and living the Pura Vida life. Everyone had the utmost respect for each other's privacy, space and property but it was great to also be able to chat to room mates about the day's bodyboarding or hang out with some of the crew over a few drinks at sunset. Ability of the crew ranged from people who had never been on a bodyboard to guys verging on pro level and everything in between, age of the crew ranged from thirties right up to 77 (Will who absolutely ripped and put us young guys to shame!) The coaching and surfing is second to none with a long dawn surf session at the best break that day, all caught on video by the excellent photographers followed by video analysis over breakfast with additional workshops throughout the week and constant tips & observations while surfing and an optional free surf at sunset if you have any energy left which I never had. I felt that my own progress from day one to day two was unreal, amazing how much difference a few small tweaks makes once Rob and João assessed us on the first day and these were things that I wouldn't pick up on myself in a lifetime of bodyboarding but now have given me a great foundation to work from. More amazing was that the guys who had never been on a bodyboard were shredding solid 3ft shorebreak by day 4 and the more accomplished riders still improved and benefitted from the coaching. The guys also arrange optional excursions such as a waterfall and zipline trip, both of which I did and highly recommend. Overall the vibe at the trip was uber relaxed but also very serious about bodyboarding for those who really wanted to improve. Big shout out to Rob, João & Maeve for being absolute legends all week with top notch coaching, great craic and doing all the hard work behind the scenes to ensure everyone had an enjoyable & smooth trip, these guys have unreal energy levels and just didn't stop, the years of experience and commitment to bodyboarding really shines through. To Jay & Vicki for all of the tips and chats about their long & illustrious bodyboarding history, they really lived up to their bodyboarding superstar status and had so much time for everyone, to Alex back home for arranging everything, to Lucas & Alan for taking unreal videos & photos of us all week - barely a wave not captured and both are also bodyboarding fanatics, to the guys & girls who run the accommodation - Guido, Mattheus, Lucio, they were so cool and bent over backwards all week to keep us fed, comfortable and entertained, they clearly have a lot of respect for Rob and appreciate his continued support over the years and last but not least to all the crew on the trip who made it so memorable - Paul 'Oarsome Expedition', Steve, Shaun 'Mini Cooper', Alex, Andrew, Bea & Jamie, Ben, Charles & Donna, Colin 'The Boogfather' Crowther, Craig, Ed & Cat, Andrew & Eunice, my man Griff, James G, Michael, Rusty, Will & Andrew Already looking at more trips, definitely another long haul next year and hopefully a few weekends closer to home in the meantime but for now looking forward to getting back in the colder waters at home this weekend and putting my new found skills into practice!

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend and I were total beginners at bodyboarding, but love the ocean and decided to have a good go at the sport of bodyboarding. Bodyboarding Holidays, Costa Rica trip was amazing. Our guides Jimmy and Rob took the time both one on one and in group sessions to teach and guide us in learning and practicing the skills we needed to be successful bodyboarders. The other guests on our trip spanned the range of bodyboarding skills and to a person all were supportive of our efforts. Even though we had never meet these folks the group dynamic was like playing with friends we'd known for years. The in-ocean sessions included personalized instruction by our guides and video of us taken by Alan and Lucas ( both expert bodyboarders and videographers) reviewed and discussed in group session with our guides to improve or skills. It was a blast. our local Santa Teresa hosts - The Funky Monkey Hotel, restaurant and bar was the perfect spot. Great ambience, fantastic staff, close to the beach, delicious eats made with fresh local ingredients, and a laid back easy vibe encouraging one to hang out! I know I'm gushing here, but it was an amazingly fun learning experience my self and partner would recommend it to anyone novice like us or advanced wanting to hone their skills with the best!! Fantastic experience: Just back from our second trip with Bodyboard Holidays. We had an amazing week in Costa Rica - super instruction - we really improved our bodyboarding as did everyone in the group - from complete beginners to advanced surfers. Rob and his team (Mave & Joao) were always positive and pushing us to improve giving each of us individual and thoughtful tips on our technique. Video analysis is really useful and also fun as a group to watch and support each other. Our group was hugely supportive and fun - making the early morning starts a pleasure. The Costa Rica team and staff at the accommodation were fantastic - so friendly and willing to ensure that our holiday was truly amazing. Surf locations were an easy walk away - with howler monkeys and other amazing wildlife on the way to the beach. Town was fun and plenty of food options for all types. Can't recommend highly enough!

Fantastic experience: This being my first time going along to anything like this bodyboard coaching weekend, I was a little apprehensive, especially when I was coming along with my hollow wooden bodyboard prototype, and when the coaches were such legends as Ian Campbell and Damian Prisk! But I needn't have been. They were super friendly, encouraging and welcoming. They made me feel at ease straight away, and managed to find some great waves despite tricky conditions.Their coaching was excellent. They gave me simple but incredibly helpful pointers that had an instant impact. I've enjoyed bodyboarding since I was a teenager, but my ability had definitely plateaued for years. Now, it feels like it has suddenly jumped up a level, and I feel like I have the tools to continue improving Big thanks to Matt for standing for hours in the cold and getting some great footage! It was also great to spend time with lovely fellow bodyboarders both in and out of the water and to have the opportunity to sit and chat with Ian and Damian. And a special thanks to Ian for encouraging and inspiring me to make more of my wooden boards and make them available for others to enjoy! It's fair to say that I had a huge smile on my face for the whole weekend. Thanks again Bodyboard Holidays team!

Fantastic experience: This is my 3rd BodyBoard Holidays trip, but first to Indo. Portugal and California were amazing, but South Sumatra is another world entirely. Amazing reef waves and incredible breaks, all to ourselves. Hard to get to, but the resort is a great base to stay at, their food was fantastic. Grant has amazing local knowledge, the pics and feedback are top notch, and as usual Rob was an incredible host and coach, helping me make the most of the hollow waves on offer. Awesomely, he worked extra hard to make sure my wife Kris (still a beginner) got great personal coaching and got some barrels too! Just an incredible bucket list trip. Fantastic experience: Just finished ‘bodyboard holidays’ Sumatra trip, it’s the second time we’ve done a trip with Rob and Grant, and it’s absolutely great, they both have a wealth of knowledge with the sport and Sumatra, and pretty cool dudes to have a couple beers with aswell. Fantastic experience: This was a great trip. I was able to catch a lot of waves and I received expert instruction from Mave and João. They did a great job of selecting fun and exciting surf spots. I was able to advance my beginner skills and learn wave selection, get comfortable consistently being on the outside, learn how to drop into a wave and then assess if it would break to the left or to the right, allowing me to catch the wave! It was a good value and was great having accommodations so close to the beach.

Fantastic experience: Just got back from Portugal after spending a week with Mave & João and I feel absolutely amazing! We had a great group of like minded bodyboarders, hot sun, offshore winds all week and some incredible waves! Mave & Joao are a top team, their kindness, patience and expertise really made this trip one of my my best memories of bodyboarding around the world so far and I really cannot wait to book another. I wanted a trip where my only worry was which wave to pick and this certainly delivered exactly that. Everything taken care of and the personal ‘in water’ and video analysis really helped me to improve my riding. Thank you bodyboard holidays I couldn’t have wished for any more!

Fantastic experience: Just got back from the Nusa Lambongan trip. Absolutely awesome A Bodyboarding heaven. For me it was a trip of a lifetime. The waves were sick, clear warm water, Grant & Rob knew exactly where to take us to find the best breaks at the right times, surfing Lacerations, Razors and Shipwrecks among others. Randy the camera man was a delight, not only filming lots of great footage but taking us on tours of the islands. The video analysis is worth its weight in gold. Beach front accodoation with amazing staff and the sunsets were insane. We saw Manta Ray's & Dolphins among so much more wildlife on our travels, whilst also making lots of new mates from all over the globe. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: A fantastic weekend: my first experience of bodyboarding and I’m definitely going on another trip. It was such fun, with such a friendly feeling in the group. The coaches were excellent. They were amazing in the way they were able to give everyone the attention they needed and I learnt so much and made amazing progress over the weekend. The video analysis sessions were really useful and gave the group a chance to be together, share tips and give encouragement. Brilliant organisation before the weekend. The hiring of equipment was easy and any email queries were always answered quickly. The sunshine, magnificent waves and great company were fantastic, but by the end of the weekend, I also felt I had become part of something very special. Thanks to all at Bodyboarding holidays. Fantastic experience: Wales Coaching Weekend Great weekend with the Bodyboard Holidays coaching team. I used to bodyboard in the distant past and just coming back to it and found the weekend hugely useful for ironing out my previous bad habits and getting tips on what to work on going forward. For some reason surfers and bodyboarders are slow to utilise coaching which is a massive aspect of every other sport/hobby/lifestyle. I learnt so much from Rob and the gang in 2 days and am looking forward to putting it into practice during the oncoming winter swells. Whatever your ability this coaching team will have pointers, tips and guidance for you to take it to the next level.

Positive experience: The most fun I have had in a long, very long time. Mave was the absolute best at keeping this wild bunch under control and yet having us laughing constantly. He’s smart and witty about bodyboarding in all ways. Encouraging us all to improve our skills. The only reason this isn’t a five star review is that the housing lacked almost all bare-bones amenities that you expect. Where were the towels for this water adventure? Where were the towel racks, countertops in the bathroom — places to put things basically were missing. One of the rooms had no hot water, and one of the rooms was so hot they were sleeping on the roof terrace. But it was worth all the BIG FUN we had!!!! If you have dietary restrictions, be sure to mention everything that you do not eat.

But, Rob’s coaching really helped us to progress and the local Moroccan team were amazingly welcoming and patient with us! Fantastic experience: I’m a newbie to bodyboarding. Did the April Newquay Weekend with Rob as our coach. Rob helped me get over my fear of getting past the break and helped me catch my first waves. I highly recommend sessions with this super friendly and helpful team. They split groups depending on your ability. Great to see the video analysis after. An awesome intro to bodyboarding and how to read waves. Booked up for another weekend in September!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved it. The Newquay Weekend was just what I needed to improve my riding after getting back into sponging recently. It's run by UK bodyboard legends who took us (a group of like-minded spongers of mixed ages and abilities) to the best waves, provided excellent coaching and video analysis, and left us with video footage of ourselves to scrutinise and/or post on Instagram. Fantastic experience: Rob and his team will literally bend over backwards, do a backflip into a 360 all while balancing a cuppa to make sure you have the most epic trip of your life. If you have any concerns or requests let the team know ahead of time and they will have it sorted by the time you get to your destination. Chris produces some sick photos and videos for your memories. Mave hooks it up with top level tips. I’ve been on 2 bodyboard holiday trips (El Salvador & Costa Rica) and have a third scheduled (Bali). I’m looking forward to scheduling even more trips with them in the future. They really have a great plan of introducing bodyboarders to places we could only dream of going to on our own.

Fantastic experience: I just returned to the States after an incredible experience in Portugal with Bodyboard Holidays. Though I had played around in white water on the beaches of the Atlantic Coast, a quest for a more advanced bodyboarding ability and ocean activity landed me in Lagos for a week with some of the coolest people ever. Joao, Mave, and Rob were incredible instructors, took care of and explained the daily surfcast, which insured good riding for the day. Above that, they were just awesome human beings. Their individualzed attention, guidance, and support, made a possibly overwhelming experience manageable, fun, and dare I say, addicting. In fact, I went from never wearing fins and catching deep water waves on a bodyboard to catching, trimming, and barrel riding in 4 days! Needless to say, If you're a beginner or an experienced rider, you'd be in great hands with Bodyboard Holidays! Highly highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I just did my first coaching weekend in Newquay, which has given me so much to work on. I can now consistently catch waves, and received video instructions on how to improve. I need to now get in the water and practice locally, but I will be returning for more coaching in the new year. I can't recommend bodyboard holidays enough. Fantastic experience: A great weekend in Croyde with Warrick and Chris from Bodyboard Holidays. I am amazed how much I have learnt in one weekend. This was my second coaching weekend and am looking forward to my third!! Not only were we given coaching tips but info on reading waves, point breaks and a lot of other really helpful advice which was great. I came away feeling really positive and can’t wait to get out and practice what I learnt ready for my next weekend.

Fantastic experience: I went on the Cornwall Retreat which is 7 days of bodyboarding at Cornwall's best surfing spots based in Newquay. Everything is so well organised and the coaching is second to none. There was a real mix of ages and abilities but everyone was coached by our instructor Chris according to their different starting points and individual goals. This was really helped by the on and off water video and picture analysis at the end of each session. If you want to start bodyboarding or want to get better I can't recommend this company highly enough.
