Fantastic experience: We have recently made two holiday bookings using Newells Travel in Truro. In both cases the service we have received is exceptional. James helped us out with a trip of a lifetime to Australia and his knowledge guided us in our plans to make this upcoming trip something really special. Sharn's knowledge of river cruising found the perfect trip for us. Both James and Sharn's expertise is very valued with their input in assisted us with our holiday plans. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We have just used Newells in Truro to book a European holiday. We have not yet gone on this break, the following is a rating of the service provided by Newells during booking. Although there were other customers in the branch, it was well staffed so there was no initial wait to speak with an agent. Sharn was helpful, efficient and friendly. In addition to showing us options from various brochures, she was happy to check out specific details with the actual holiday provider via the phone, even though we explained that we were just getting information to go away and consider. There was absolutely no pressure to make a booking on the day. However as Sharn found something that suited us ideally, we did in fact book. We found the experience very positive.

Fantastic experience: We booked a London Theatre Break through Newell’s Travel in Truro and were assisted by Lacey. She was brilliant, professional and very helpful. The trip was superb and every aspect was so well organised. We stayed in The Thistle Hotel, Holborn and it was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful few days.

Negative experience: My wife & I visited the Truro store on the 16/04/2024 with a trip to Croatia in mind. I had the locations and hotels etc we preferred so there was not a great more planning to do. I was promised a call on the Thursday, the 18th. After two weeks of hearing nothing I called the office on the 01/05/2024, & spoke with a different adviser who could find none of my details on the system, and would I forward them. This I did, and received an email saying that my details were there after all and I could expect a phone call the next day. As of today, the 07/05/2024, I still not received any further contact and have booked my holiday with another tour operator. Who, after my initial email, came back with the tour I wanted within two hours! I don't think we will be using Newells anytime soon!

Fantastic experience: We recently travelled to Egypt and had the holiday of a lifetime. It was superbly planned and organised for us by the company "Discover Egypt" and through the wonderful agents at Newells in Tavistock... Sharon and Sue . We were so well looked after in every location and all the agents and guides were friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you so so much. It was a totally unforgettable experience.

Fantastic experience: We usually search for and book holidays direct from the usual holiday websites, but we were having problems finding the room configuration we needed this time, as we wanted to accommodate both our privacy and my teenager's privacy too, whilst still being close to each other. There are very few tools online to look for adjoining rooms, and it's impossible to search for rooms next to each other. When we did find family type rooms offered in the search results, they were not available to select during the booking process. Very annoying! I popped into Newells Travel in Truro and discussed our requirement with Sharn. Sharn was determined to find us what we needed and 3 emails later, she had found us our perfect holiday in Tenerife. The all-inclusive hotel with multiple swimming pools and lovely restaurants was just what we needed, and the very smart rooms were adjoined with separate facilities, both with access to a large balcony. Considering the high standard of hotel, the price was great too - I doubt we could have got it for the same if we had booked it online. Big thanks to Sharn for your help - we will be back!

Nothing is too much trouble for the team to sort out, whenever we may have a query or need to change something or indeed book another holiday! Bev, Alex and Chris know us fairly well now and treat us with great consideration, whenever we make contact. I would have no hesitation in recommending Newell’s for any travel matters, I feel sure they will help you with you travel plans and look after you through the process. As a great example , during Covid there were many issues for the holiday industry, including holiday cancellations, deferment or future travel queries. The team at Newell’s remained extremely professional during the uncertainties that became evident and I couldn’t fault their approach to all of that, which must have been very challenging.

Fantastic experience: Beverley once again booked us an excellent holiday in Gran Canaria. We had agreed hotel and flight but Beverley then rang to say we cold have a much better deal on the same holiday with Jet2. We would certainly recommend Jet2 their service was excellent, plenty of help at bag drop, luggage included in the price! free drink on board, representative waiting for us on the return, everything was just as they said, excellent.
