Negative experience: AVOID AVOID AVOID! This company are complete scammers! I booked a holiday for me and my mum on Wowcher, after weeks of trying to get through to this company to book my holiday, I finally got through, having to pay £500 extra to get the dates and flights we wanted! I got no confirmation of any bookings through and since my call to “book” the holiday and paying £500 extra, all my emails have been ignored and every time I try and ring to ask where my confirmation are, they hang up the phone and completely ignore me. Previously when I got through to them on the phone, I was always promised a call back, which I never received. I am beyond distraught, this was suppose to be a nice surprise for my mum and those awful people have taken my money and ran. I am currently fighting through my bank to get my money back. Please do NOT use this company under any circumstances. They need to be shut down, and I’m doing everything in my power to do so, to stop this happening to others.

Negative experience: booked through wowcher, ended up not retiring my calls or phoning me back for up to 3 weeks. In the end thy phoned a day before i was meant to leave and they tried to give me flights with up to 2 stops and at around 11pm or later. I would’ve actually spent around 10 hours in the holiday location. Absolute scam and joke DO NOT BOOK.

Negative experience: DO NOT UEE THIS AGENCY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES After I had already paid, the price of the flights using ’JETCOST’. I did not receive any tickets and was ignored by this company. I was repeatedly asked to pay additional amounts after already paying over £1500 When I questioned these changes, communication over the phone became aggressive. During one call, I was told “be so glad you’re not in front of me right now”. They cut the phone on me and placed me on hold when I tried to challenge them at any time. They mocked and mimicked me and it’s difficult to get a hold of the agent you need, I was constantly being told they would be in the office at different times. I only received my refund after initiating a chargeback through my bank. I would strongly advise anyone dealing with this agency to keep communication in writing (email or messages) so there is a clear record if issues arise.

Negative experience: Discusting company SCAM. Hang up on you, call hundreds of times, customer service is clearly an optional extra. Don’t buy Wowcher voucher or any other holidays with them unless you want to waste money and time and deal with incompetence and rude staff..if they actually answer the phone don’t worry doesn’t matter what number you press the calls go through to anyone available and if they aren’t the right person to book your holiday they simply cut you off. False promises complete scam…. Gets even worse arrived at the Hilton and they hadn’t even booked us a double room!! When they specifically said they had!

Negative experience: AVOID. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY. Bought a voucher through Wowcher. You have to redeem to use it. They never contacted me like it says. So I have contacted them multiple times. They were unable to provide the trip purchased - a hotel or any flights that match their own terms and conditions. Every alternative they offer they add an additional cost. When you ask to cancel you get told "they are reviewing things" and then 3 weeks later "your voucher is showing as redeemed so cannot be refunded". I have now read the other reviews with so many people experiencing the same. I feel robbed and am disappointed that Wowcher have endorsed in this scam.

Negative experience: I am extremely concerned with how your company is treating me. I discovered that my ticket was not showing with the airline on Saturday 13th December 2025 and that the ticket was not showing as being issued to me. When I contacted your company I was advised not to worry and that the ticket would be issued by Wednesday 17th December. Upon following this up I was then told it would be issued on Thursday 18th December. I have since been told it will be now issued on Friday 19th December. This is not acceptable as I am due to fly on 20th December and this is causing me extreme anxiety and stress as I have paid for a flight that I feel that I am being scammed out of. I would like reassurance that this is not the case and for this matter to be resolved immediately. When I have called I have been hung up on the phone which is very poor customer service. The airline told me that you tempered with their system and they have nothing to do with you. Nick, you are very dishonest man and you should go to hell.

Negative experience: ***WARNING*** As with many of the other reviews on here, Wowcher has been redeemed and the company have not honoured this. 15+ phone calls and 5 emails later, we've had no contact with the company despite 6 promised callbacks. The calls ring out, and on the odd occasion you DO get through, apparently only Sonika can deal with our booking and she's NEVER available. Needless to say we will not be giving up on getting our money refunded.

Negative experience: Stay clear! Did a wowcher redeem and wanted to cancel the same day, wowcher said I need to cancel with the company, It took 5 days for them to contact no email or call and when I told the guy on the phone we’d like to cancel he said there are no bad reviews just a small amount of unhappy customers which is not true and I need to contact wowcher for a refund, you just get passed from company to company! Currently in contact with the bank for the scam but have to wait 14 days!

Negative experience: Extremely concerning experience- strongly advise avoiding this company! I purchased a Berlin trip through Wowcher and was passed to The Travel Makers to complete the booking. After redeeming the voucher, they offered unsuitable flight times and pressured me into paying extra for “better” flights. Once the extra payment was made, the communication effectively stopped. The “booking confirmation” they have sent is not a confirmation at all. It contains: -No airline booking reference (PNR) -No hotel confirmation number -No ATOL certificate, which is a legal requirement if they are genuinely ATOL-protected. -No verifiable evidence that any holiday has been booked. This falls well below the standards required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and raises serious concerns of misrepresentation. Multiple follow-up emails have resulted in the same generic "confirmation" email with no real evidence of any booking. I am now escalating this through the appropriate consumer authorities due to their refusal to provide a legitimate booking or respond to basic requests for confirmation. Until this company demonstrates transparency, accountability, and the ability to provide genuine travel documentation, I strongly recommend avoiding them.

Negative experience: Booked a deal through Wowcher, the company called us, let us know we had to pay extra if we wanted different flights, we didn’t want the flights, let them know, kept calling multiple times, sending emails, however no one got back to us, kept calling until I received a notification through Wowcher that the deal expired, now I am unable to get my money back through Wowcher. I never got an explanation from the company, the customer service is horrible alongside the lack of communication. Wouldn’t recommend booking.

Over a month of trying to contact them they decide to answer the phone. I state I want a refund and will not keep chasing to book the holiday. They state wowcher has to refund me and they are not able to but will inform wowcher to refund me. Weeks later still no refund and wowcher states they have received so such information from this absolute joke of a company. Absolute frauds.

Phoned over 10 times promised a call back which i never got: in the end i was promised a refund via phone call which i recorded, never received the refind and now saying by text that they wont give me a refund. They have hung up on me when trying too explain what’s happened etc and even blocked my number so I then had to ring off a with held. Negative experience: If I could I ll jot even give them a single star I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever when Nick from Travel Maker called me. He didn’t introduce himself, didn’t ask what I needed — just jumped straight into trying to sell me a Qatar Airways ticket, even though I had already paid for Air India. Then he casually told me it would cost £400 more. Absolutely ridiculous. When I said cancel it, he ignored me and sent a confirmation email anyway. I called back immediately, and his attitude was appalling — rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. He acted like he was in charge and didn’t care one bit about resolving the issue. This wasn’t just bad service — it was unethical and insulting. I would never recommend Travel Maker to anyone, and if you get a call from Nick, hang up. They clearly don’t value customers, only your money

Positive experience: Found this company via JetCost. We communicated purely via WhatsApp. Alic sorted me a very good deal (London to Buenos Aires, connecting via NY), he was very responsive when trying to arrange and lock in the flights, and gave me a couple of alternatives. After payment, I got nervous because I didn’t receive my tickets within the hour and saw bad reviews online. Alic kept reassuring me all was OK, but I had no idea what to expect. I think it took around 48 hours to receive my tickets. But I got them! Just marking this as a 4* not a 5* because of the stress. But now I know how this company operates (kind of), I would definitely go via Alic again for flights. I got a good deal.

Negative experience: I purchased a trip to Rome on the 5th October through Wowcher and The Travel Makers were stated as the merchant provider. I contacted the company several times and after 9 days, the merchant contacted me about my trip, despite the voucher saying they will be in contact within 2 working days. It has been almost 3 weeks, and after 22 calls and 8 emails later, messages through their website enquiry form and WhatsApp, I am no closer to getting my trip confirmed or my refund. After speaking to them on the 15th requesting a refund, The Travel Makers said I would receive an email within 24 hours. however I did not hear from them until the 21st to say the refund had been rejected by Wowcher. I received no explanation for this or communication during this time. I have contacted Wowcher who have put me back in contact with The Travel Makers as the voucher was purchased through them as a third party. The communication and entire process has been terrible and has left me feeling stressed and worried as this trip is for a loved ones birthday.

Negative experience: A joke of a company, they avoid your calls put you on hold, hang up on you or transfer your calls to other customers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I am currently trying to process a refund and they keep hanging up. You will not get anywhere with this company. Negative experience: If I could give O stars I would !!! Appalling Customer Service – A Heartless and Unprofessional Company Booking with this company was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. I booked a special holiday for my parents, who have suffered major personal losses this year. This trip was meant to be a well-deserved break—a way to uplift them after everything. Instead, it turned into an expensive and traumatic ordeal due to this company’s complete negligence and lack of professionalism. Despite paying extra for an upgraded hotel and transfers, when my parents arrived at their destination, the hotel had no record of the booking. After a long day of travel, they were stranded at 2AM, with nowhere to go. I had to pay out of pocket (again!) to cover one night’s stay at the hotel I had already booked through this company. I then spent the rest of the night trying to find them a different hotel for the week—spending another £800 on top of the original cost. I essentially paid for two holidays. This put me in my overdraft, but I wasn’t going to let my parents sleep on the street. To make matters worse, the transfers I paid extra for were not even used on the return journey, which was more wasted money. Despite the clear fault lying with this company, they have dragged the issue out for over three months, avoiding responsibility at every turn. They are quick to take your money, calling and emailing constantly to secure your booking, but the moment something goes wrong, they vanish. No responses to emails. No updates. No help. Even after I explained that my grandfather had passed away and that I was dealing with immense stress and financial strain, they showed zero compassion. They continued to mishandle the situation with absolutely no regard for the human impact of their actions. They are unethical, unprofessional, and clearly lack any form of customer service training. Their behavior has been disgusting—from ignoring emails to giving me the runaround on the phone, clearly hoping I’d just give up. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. If something goes wrong—and it very well might—you will be left completely alone, out of pocket, and emotionally drained.

Negative experience: This company, PCM Travels UK Ltd trading as The Travel Makers, is running what I believe to be an outright scam disguised as a holiday booking service. Their key tactic is the “4-hour layover lie.” After purchasing my vouchers, I was told my Manchester–Rome flight had a 4-hour Amsterdam layover, which was untrue — no such flight exists. Other negative reviews mention the exact same lie, showing it’s a deliberate sales tactic. Using this false information, they pressured me into paying an additional £178 for “direct” Liverpool flights and a “better” hotel. In reality, those flights cost £44pp direct from Ryanair, and the hotel was a downgrade — further away and much cheaper than the one originally advertised. They run pressure calls where they force you to confirm everything in writing by email while you’re still on the phone. That way, they keep the pressure verbal and undocumented, while leaving a “confirmation” email trail that makes it look like you agreed freely. The staff use fake names like “Elijah Wood” and “Sonika,” and the operation is clearly a foreign call centre. The positive reviews online are almost certainly fake — the real ones all describe the same pattern: false layover flights, downgrades, pressure selling, and refusal to refund. Even as a younger man, I felt extremely pressured into agreeing to things I didn’t want — I dread to think how easily my older family members could be taken advantage of by these tactics. This is not just poor service, it is deliberate misrepresentation and aggressive selling. The Travel Makers should not be allowed to operate in the UK travel market. Pre-empting their copy-paste reply: I have seen them respond to other reviews with the same lines — “you agreed,” “your holiday has been fully booked and confirmed,” and “no refunds.” Let me be clear: - I only “agreed” because I was pressured on the phone with lies about a fake 4-hour layover. While under that pressure, they forced me to send emails confirming changes — leaving them with a false written trail, while the real pressure remains undocumented. - They only sent me booking details *after I had already cancelled*. That shows the holiday was not properly secured at the time of sale, despite what they will claim. - A “non-refundable” label does not excuse misrepresentation or aggressive selling. Under UK consumer law, mis-sold services must be refunded regardless of their terms. So if they post the same copy-paste reply here, please know it is meaningless. Their response does not reflect the reality of how they pressure customers into false agreements.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – IMMORAL, FRAUDULENT & CORRUPT I purchased two Wowcher vouchers for a trip from Manchester to Venice. "The Travelmakers" claimed that the “included” flights had extremely long layovers, arriving in Venice late at night and departing very early on the return. They pressured me to pay extra for direct flights, giving me only 30 minutes to decide, implying that the long layover flights were my only option. However, I checked Skyscanner on the same day and found that the long layover flights they described did not exist. This demonstrates deliberate misrepresentation and aggressive pressure tactics designed to make me pay unnecessarily, which is both unethical and misleading. Worse, when I arrived in Venice, I found out The Travelmakers had cancelled my hotel booking five days before my trip. I was left stranded in a foreign country with no accommodation and had to pay for the hotel myself. Since then, this company has actively avoided fulfilling its responsibility to provide a refund. They ignore emails, lie about staff being “on breaks,” hang up the phone on me, and even hung up on the hotel when they tried to help. It’s clear they are actively avoiding refunds and behaving like scammers. This company is a disgrace, immoral, fraudulent, and corrupt to the core. Their positive reviews are fake. They extort money and abandon customers. Wowcher is fully aware of this merchant’s behaviour but continues to do business with them, enabling these scams. That makes Wowcher just as bad, a total shambles of a company. I am in the process of reporting them to Trading Standards, Watchdog and the CMA and urge other victims to do the same. Beware, they are scammers working from an Indian call centre, using fake English names also working under PCM Travels.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs!! What was meant to be a lovely 3 day anniversary trip away ended up being a 3 month battle to get our money back. Booked via Wowcher, the company was meant to contact us to make final arrangements however we ended up contacting them 3 days before as the time we getting near. What they tried to offer us was not what was advertised, also they tried to give us a 10hr lay over for a 1hr and a bit flight! We requested cancellation that same day we called them and was repeatedly told this was done... We have been going back and forth for 3 months with no resolution they they said we were out of their 14 day grace period which is rubbish because we requested cancellation on the same day we called them! I see a lot of people struggling to get results or their money back, we contacted citizen advise who reported this company to trading standards... A week of so later we finally got confirmation they had cancelled this booking and refunded us. Please, don't waste your time with this company as Wowcher was also no help to resolve!!

Negative experience: DO NOT book anything with these people or with any other travel website linked to them. This is a scam which I'm not sure why a big business like wowcher continues to promote. I booked quickly yesterday morning after seeing 4.6 stars review. After I booked I thought I would read the reviews in detail. Little did I know all of the 1 star reviews would be what I would be living for the day. I immediately tried to cancel and gain a refund to which I was told no. I spoke to a lady called Sonika who to be honest just chatted nonsense as she tried to offer me a flight with a 4 hour stopover to which I declined. I wondered why she kept asking why I am going on holiday as she then asked if I wanted to go somewhere else??. Disappointed and annoyed. Wowcher needs to start taking some accountability for being the platform that promotes these daylight robbery scams.

Negative experience: Misleading and overpriced. I was charged £238 for a Ryanair flight that cost under £70 elsewhere, with no clear disclosure the charge was non-refundable. The hotel I chose was suddenly “unavailable,” yet later confirmed to be bookable. Key terms were buried in emails, not explained during booking. When I raised concerns, I was offered a £100 voucher — not a real resolution. Their practices breach the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Avoid. Update: After contacting the company again on 28 May, I was offered only £75 in cash and £75 in store credit — later revised to £100 cash. I was given 24 hours to decide. During that time, I researched the cost of the downgraded hotel and flights and found they could be booked directly for over £200 less than what I paid. Meanwhile, the original hotels (Condotti Palace, Hotel Caravel) are still being advertised despite being unavailable, confirming this is a bait-and-switch tactic

Negative experience: Its 1 star because it wouldn't let me post none ! Do not book with this company or wowcher!! Absolutely awful ! Has anyone managed to get a refund from them ? If so how? I'm currently awaiting a refund for £600 ish ( bit over) We cancelled our holiday that we booked through wowcher, As they couldn't honour what we booked and tried to charge us hundreds more for any other option (we soon realised and requested a refund the same day) They have now refused the refund as my 28 days to claim has expired Wowcher have been equally terrible and unhelpful ! Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I booked through Wowcher for a three night stay in Krakow. They pulled off a bait and switch and wanted an extra £79pp for the alternative options. Having found better deals elsewhere, we cancelled the contract in line with policy. It has been a month now and I am still having to chase these crooks for my money back. Despite numerous reassurances my money would be paid back, I am still out of pocket, and am now unlikely to be able to rebook my Krakow trip with a different provider. I really hope Wowcher see these reviews and cease trading with The Travel Makers as it’s clear I’m not the only one who’s had this experience with such an abysmal company.

Left us with 3hr travelling two trains one bus and a taxi just to get to the hotel that's in a little town with no real buses not much to do and five days to do it takes your money and leaves you to fend for your self spoilt what should have been our first holiday together. Negative experience: Absolute scammers along with, avoid at any cost! Purchased a 3-night stay at a central Rome hotel via Wowcher but they tried to give me a different hotel 4 miles outside of the city centre. They made up stop over flights to try to trick me into paying extra for direct. As the deal was not as described, I requested to cancel the holiday as per my customer 14-day money back right. They cancelled my holiday and agreed to issue me a full refund. It’s now been two months and still no money! I contacted my bank for help but Wowcher is now disputing my refund request. Absolutely appalling!!

Negative experience: Utterly disappointing experience with the travel makers uk. Organisation was lacking and communication was non-existent. Thier 24/7 support is a lie! When issues arose, I was met with complete radio silence. No apologies, no explanations, no solutions. It's clear they don't value their customers or take responsibility for their mistakes. Would not recommend to anyone. Our flight was cancelled which they claimed they told us about and then admitted that no email was ever sent and we were not informed because they didnt even know about it! £200 out of pocket as I had to purchase new tickets to make sure the holiday went ahead. A week later still awaiting a response from them about refunding the money. Groupon and wowcher this is very poor business reconsider who partner up with would never do another wowcher or Groupon holiday again.

Negative experience: SCAM. Think half of these reviews are fake and the other half with one star reviews exposing them are real. You will see the original price of the flight first then you have to wait for an email from them claiming there was an issue with booking and someone will be in contact with you shortly. Then they will send you a different price, which you haven’t agreed or consented, and are expected to pay. Luckily my bank realised it was suspicious and didn’t allow it to go through. If you call up they will tell you to wait “15 minutes for a call back as I’m in the middle of something” x3 - Nick Team Leader, because they are waiting to pay with your details you give them and take more. They can’t do anything if your money hasn’t gone through. Stay clear of this “travel company”

Negative experience: This company did a bait and switch on me. I purchased an airline ticket online. After I purchased it someone called me and said my seat was not available and that I had to pay $400 dollars more to upgrade. They would not cancel and give me a refund. After wanting to speak to a manager they canceled but only after paying $75 dollars. I highly recommend not using them.

Negative experience: The worst company ive ever dealt with! They are out to steal your money. How a company like Living Social & Wowcher are associated with these crooks are beyond me. The amount of aggro and stress this company have caused me. Im now having to give them all my money from my booking and decided not to continue with a holiday as I do not trust them. They will ask you for more money give you awful accommodation options totally different to ones advertised. Ive even tried for a refund from Paypal and thought they would help me get it back, they said NO, how can this be allowed to happen??

Negative experience: Should be called "the trouble makers" Absolute scammers a family member of mine bought a few tickets through them, a price per ticket was agreed but no ticket was sent out for 2 days and then after chasing them the guy said tickets no longer available, and you need to buy economy plus for an extra £400 per person, reluctantly they agreed, after contacting the airline the price of the ticket was confirmed to be the original price qouted but he charged an extra £400pp..and it's not economy plus it's regular economy, the worst kind of scammers avoid at all cost. I can guarantee that 90% of the reviews are fabricated. Avoid like a plague. Qouted £974 charged £1400pp

Negative experience: Customer service is the worst I’ve ever one across, they never solved my issue. I booked a Wowcher trip to Malta last year and I’ve been trying to contact to redeem it. If I could give Travel Maker zero stars, I would. Their customer service is beyond awful. I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with my booking, but every time I call, the agent either hangs up or says they’ll call back—spoiler alert: they NEVER do. I’ve lost count of how many times this has happened. I’ve also emailed multiple times, but they just ignore my messages. It’s as if their entire customer service department doesn’t actually exist. At this point, I’m convinced they just want to get rid of customers instead of helping them. Save yourself the frustration and book with a company that actually cares. Travel Maker is a joke!

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ADVERTISE FRAUDULENT PRICES AND THEN IGNORE YOU!!!! This company was not able to book my holiday at the price that was paid, kept asking for us to pay extra. Refund was asked for in January and was told it would be with us in 10-14 business days, it is now coming upto the end of February and I am still waiting for the refund. Legal Claim is now being made against them for the money they owe, court costs and interest on the money they should have returned to me when I asked. I have also reported them to ATOL and the Financial Ombudsman Service Do not give this company your service, you will be left out of pocket

Negative experience: Worst experience ever, I have bought a trip on Wowcher and this company were the third part responsible for my holiday. They offered a hotel 1h away from the place advertised/purchased. I decided on the same day to go for a refund they agreed. It’s 39 days I’m waiting for my refund. All the team including the CEO Peter are extremely unprepared to deal with customers. So frustrating pay for something you have not used.

The airline company has no record of the booking and stated we should seek an immediate refund. The call centre is based in India and when I complained he said do your worst . My daughter is distraught and her flight is in 4 weeks . They are refusing a refund and say they are in communication with the airline . The airline say there is no communication taking place . They state they are Atol protected and yet we cannot find them on the atol website . Sadly my daughter has been scammed , please avoid this company at all cost.

Negative experience: Purchased a deal off wowoucher £99 for 2 nights in Slovenia. Perfect. Once voucher redeemed they never contacted me althought voucher said they would within 48 hours. I contacted them twice only to be told for a two night stay I would go via Belgrade and it would take 6.5 hours each way. When I pointed out I could buy the easyJet flights for less than £70 they then tried to charge me and extra £89 to go direct. Total con. Could book it cheaper myself.

Negative experience: If minus stars could exist, that’s what I’d be providing. Purchased vouchers for a specific destination on specific dates and they are unable to fulfill. The only way I was able to find out was by redeeming these vouchers. They are providing alternative destinations that each cost more money than I originally paid, meaning I must pay extra to use a voucher I have already paid for. I’m now on day 4 of trying to talk to a “manager”, who conveniently is busy whenever I chase the call backs I should have received. If the price seems too good to be true, probably is! Just don’t even entertain Travel Makers! Save your hard earned money

Negative experience: On the 06/10/2024 i paid a total of £2500.They did not give me a ticket or booking refrence for more than 7 days. Finally on the 14/10/2024 they sent me a booking reference. i checked and everything was ok. I was lucky to check my flight details with lufthansa on the 17/10/2024, only to discover my flight had been cancelled without any notification. i called lufthansa to confirm and they informed me they cancelled the ticket due to scum.
