Positive experience: My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the GK Beach Hotel in Crete. The experience was truly memorable, thanks to the hotel’s beautiful location, its close proximity to Kalyves, and the many thoughtful amenities provided throughout our visit. The hotel boasts an ideal location directly on the beach, separated from the shoreline only by its own garden. This setting allowed us to enjoy wonderful sea views that contributed to a tranquil and relaxing environment. We were very fortunate with the weather in October, enjoying temperatures as high as 27°C for three days. The sea was warm enough for morning swims before breakfast, which became a wonderful way to start each day. The buffet breakfasts at the hotel were excellent, offering a wide variety of hot and cold foods, including fruit, yogurt, Greek honey, eggs, bacon, pastries, ham, and cheese. We also enjoyed lunch on the hotel’s beach terrace a couple of times, where the food was delicious. The Simpson on-site concierges, demonstrated outstanding professionalism and efficiency, swiftly addressing any issues that arose and ensuring that we had the best possible stay. Their dedication and attention to detail made a significant difference in our overall experience. We would recommend the GK Beach Hotel to others seeking a relaxing and well-supported holiday in Crete. We would also highly recommend a holiday with Simpson Travel. The company goes the extra mile for its guests, providing a pre-departure concierge service, timely travel reminders, and the Simpson App, all of which enhanced our experience.

Fantastic experience: We had an exceptional stay at the Forest House with Simpson’s in October 2025. The villa, surrounded by olives, pines, oaks and beautiful flowers, is stylishly and practically designed to offer every comfort and convenience. Best of all is the stunning infinity pool. With our hire car we were able to explore the entire island, as well as taking the car ferry from Sami to Ithaca for a couple of nights. Tina are concierge looked after us very well and the seamless organisation made for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.

Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed an amazing stay, organised by Simpson Travel, in the medieval citadel at Calvi, Corsica in September 2025. The view across the bay from the penthouse apartment was stunning and the property was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. Simpson went over and above on every level, both pre departure and whilst staying in Corsica. Everyone was wonderful. Their on site concierge, Debbie, was exceptional, organising shopping, a bottle of champagne on arrival, taking us into town and booking and recommending some fabulous restaurants. As well as helping us map out an itinerary to make our stay in Corsica both memorable and magical. Which it was. She exceeded all our expectations, as did Simson Travel. We will definitely be booking another holiday with Simpson again soon as well as recommending them to our friends. Thank you so very, very much.

Fantastic experience: Once again a fabulous holiday with Simpson Travel! The White Donkey Hotel in the Peloponnese area was beautiful. The service was impeccable- nothing was too much for the staff, who not only treated us with respect but became our friends too. Nothing quite prepares you for the view from the pool/bar/restaurant area. The hire car enabled us to explore the area where we found lovely mountain villages, beaches and tavernas and the inevitable glorious views. Hopefully we will return soon. Thank you Simpsons!

Fantastic experience: We had such a wonderful time in Paxos with Simpson Travel. We were looked after at every stage, from arrival at the airport to the journey to the port. Chris, our contact, was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. I mentioned the sun-beds were a little hard at our villa, when we arrived back from our day out we had cushioned covers on them. Fantastic experience: We have just had another wonderful holiday with Simpson Travel. We had always been put off travelling to a Greek island that didn’t have an airport and needed to be reached via a boat transfer, thinking there would be lots of waiting around for connections. How wrong were we! There was no waiting around at all, from the airport taxi to the sea taxi everything was so organised and ran smoothly. Laura the rep was waiting for us when we pulled into Vathy along with a taxi to take us the 2 min drive to the hotel. We were luckily enough to have an Azur suite on the 3 floor with a private pool at the Azur Retreat hotel. The hotel is very special with amazing views of the many yachts heading for Vathy Marina, which we spent many hours watching from our sunbeds. There is a lovely laidback, chilled feel about the hotel even though everything runs like clockwork behind the scenes. The staff are very welcoming, taking an interest in your day ahead and suggesting places to visit. The breakfasts are really tasty with plenty of variety. We also had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant on a couple of occasions and were wowed by the flavours and portion sizes! We loved the location of the hotel which is an 8 min stroll from the bars, restaurants and shops, meaning a car isn’t needed in the evenings. We would definitely recommend using Simpson travel, as the whole process from booking the holiday to returning back to the UK was faultless. We will be returning to the Azur Retreat with Simpsons for our perfect chilled holiday again!

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful night at Bella Mare, the rooms were beautiful and very spacious for our family of 4. The bay of the hotel is incredibly peaceful and tranquil. Our son was fishing off the rocks overlooking the crystal clear water. A truly magnificent spot. The breakfast was noteworthy, beautiful pastries, many variety’s of fruit and yoghurt and wonderful bacon, eggs and sausages. We met Ruth and Gayle who are responsible for the hotel. What wonderful ladies! Nothing was too much trouble. Even now on our way home we are working out which week we can book the Bella Mare for next summer. Fantastic experience: We have recently returned from 1 week in Paxos (Purple Apricot Hotel) and 2 weeks in Corfu (The Rou Estate). Another lovely holiday with Simpson Travel. The concierge's Lionel and Aline at Purple Apricot, Gaynor and Jules at Rou, go over and above board to make your stay special. The quality and cleanliness of the 7 suite hotel and the house / villa at Rou are brilliant, exactly what we would expect from Simpson Travel. Negative experience: I don't normally write bad reviews..... We paid £12,000 for a villa holiday, we've just come back. Now for this amount of money you would expect a level of service, the towels were from dunelm and some had bleach stains on, honestly these towels looked about 10 years old. The villa was stunning on the outside but they had not taken care on the inside, the kettle was very cheap and dirty, the kitchen cabinets were all dirty and just looked like they needed a renovation, the showers had mould on the wllas and floor, the beds were cheap duvan beds, no head boards, the soaps seemed watered down, the deck chairs had holes in. When we complained the customer service was dreadful, we have hired out a lot of villa's and never had this service before. At the end of the day if you are are charging this amount of money, the service and interiors need to be up to scratch. We will not be staying again with simpsons travel, I hope this review helps to improve services.

Fantastic experience: Our recent two-week stay at the Kefalonia Escape Villa in the tranquil Trapezaki area was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was going to be a truly special holiday, and Simpson Travel delivered on every front. The villa itself is modern, immaculately clean, and incredibly attractive, with every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. The air conditioning was a welcome luxury during the warm Greek days, and the Wi-Fi was flawless. Absolutely breathtaking views from the balcony, we were treated to panoramic vistas of the sparkling Ionian Sea, while behind us, the majestic mountains created a serene and dramatic backdrop. The private blue swimming pool was a dream, crystal clear waters on the local beaches, refreshing, and surrounded by peaceful olive groves. It felt like our own private paradise. Kefalonia itself is a magical island, full of charm and natural beauty. The locals are warm and welcoming, and every taverna served consistently delicious food; fresh, flavourful, and authentically Greek. We enjoyed blue skies and sunshine every day, and the clean beaches and crystal-clear waters were perfect for cooling off and exploring. There’s so much to see and do, from hidden coves to charming villages, caves, but no visit is complete without the Queen Bee sunset cruise, a truly magical experience that left us speechless. A special mention must go to Karen, our incredible Simpson Travel representative. Karen is the gold standard of hospitality - kind, attentive, deeply knowledgeable, and always going the extra mile. Her warmth and dedication made us feel so well looked after, and her passion for the island was infectious. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her presence truly elevated our holiday. We cannot recommend Simpson Travel highly enough. From the moment we booked to the moment we returned home, their service was seamless, thoughtful, and exceptional. They truly go above and beyond, and it shows in every detail. Kefalonia is a gem of the Greek Islands, and the Kefalonia Escape Villa is the perfect hideaway for anyone seeking peace, beauty, and a touch of luxury. We returned home relaxed, recharged, and already dreaming of our next visit.

Fantastic experience: Just spent a wonderful week at Villa Grazie, Corsica. The pool was a perfect temperature, and there’s even a shaded beanbag sofa area right next to the pool. We absolutely fell in love with the outdoor spaces , one of the standout features was the outside veranda with large lazy sofas, we felt we didn’t need to venture out for dinner often as the villa has everything you need to enjoy being outside as a group including the BBQ and seating area under the old Olive Trees. The layout gave us all the option to spread out, perfect for a family or group of friends. We honestly spent more time outside than inside. The kitchen is well equipped, It had everything we needed, from a Nespresso machine to a big fridge-freezer, loads of cookware, and even a Bluetooth speaker. Especially loved the Nuxe Shower gel !! We didn’t want to leave and hope we can return one day.

Negative experience: We went on a Simpson’s holiday to ‘Melitina’ villa in Mochlos, Crete in October 2024 with our three young children. On the first day first full day of our holiday a sliding glass shower door exploded when my husband moved it, covering him from head to toe in shards of glass. A large section of the glass fell out as a slab hitting him and resulting in severe bruising and lacerations. He was in shock and the pain his arm left him unable to enjoy the rest of the holiday. Our three young children were scared to use the showers and toilets as they all had the same glass screens. We immediately contacted our Simpsons rep in Greece and in the UK. After showing the rep the sliding shower door our rep agreed the shower hadn't been maintained (including the one in our children's bedroom). I took several videos of the glass embedded in a straight vertical line on the marble wall which clearly shows the mechanism for stopping the door had failed. On our return we sent Simpsons a detailed breakdown of what had happened and the videos. We honestly expected an apology and concern for our experience, but their response was shocking. They admitted no liability for health and safety at their villas and offered us a paltry £750 and 10% off our next villa booking with them. Who in their right mind would book with a holiday with their kids with a travel company who doesn't accept any responsibility for health and safety? The weight of the glass falling on one of our children honestly could have killed them. We have now sought legal action to try and make Simpson's understand how serious this could have been. Warning - DO NOT BOOK WITH SIMPSONS IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN. They are not a responsible holiday company.

Fantastic experience: For us, the jetty and the view absolutely delivered at Sandara Beach House, to have such a location and view coupled with some long-awaited sunshine totally brilliant. This in addition to having so many restaurants in such close proximity to our location, they really are a short stroll along the shoreline. We swam every morning in clear turquoise water, enjoyed our boat trip (not to be missed) and soaked up some October sunshine. The holiday delivered on every level as did the service from Simpson. In the modern world it was nice to see a company that feels strongly about customer care despite rising costs in the industry. The only fly in the ointment was our experience with British Airways, but that was not in Simpsons control. We have never travelled with Simpson before, but have already booked with them for next year, they provide excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Arosmari Village Hotel in Crete was an absolute delight and unsurprisingly several of the guest were multiple repeat visitors,so that says it all..Excellent accommodation and facilities in a small,park like setting within the much larger hill town of Vamos. We even had a concert by part of local orchestra , which I gather is often a weekly event. Everything was so well maintained . From start to finish our experience with Simpson Travel was first class.

Fantastic experience: After many villa holidays, this was our first with Simpson Travel. The customer service was excellent with all information pre departure very clear. We stayed in Arethusa cottage on Ithaka ( The Simpson concierge Judith, was also the owner) It was our first visit to the Island and she was so helpful, also sorting out a table in the amazing Myrtia restaurant for my husbands birthday. We had a private taxi from the airport and private sea taxi over to the island, which was lovely. Many thanks for a fabulous holiday and we look forward to booking with Simpson again.

The hotel was exactly as described - better in fact. I fell ill during the holiday and the local Simpson staff were on hand immediately to help locate a doctor and followed up with me afterwards to make sure I was well.

Fantastic experience: I would just like to give you a 5* review for the villa Tenuta Fonte, Ostuni, Puglia, Italy. We had the most blissful week – grown up family plus their partners – at Tenuta Fonte in July 2024. Thank you Simpson Travel! The villa is absolutely wonderful, incredibly comfortable and with every mod-con you could ever wish for. The location was fantastic, within very easy reach of Ostuni, Monopoli, Locorontondo, Alberobello, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Polignano a Mare – all of which we visited and thought were amazing. It’s very close to the coast too, with its public beaches and great beach clubs. Tenuta Fonte was an oasis of beauty and tranquillity and just the most perfect place to come back to, with its beautiful gardens and large pool. In fact, if you don’t want to, you wouldn’t need to leave the villa as there were so many lovely areas around the villa to sit and relax. Our local rep, Ketty, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, she recommended places to go and see, booked restaurants, taxi’s, boat trips, and nothing was too much trouble for her. Marina, who came into the villa daily was wonderful and did such a brilliant job. She and her partner also cooked us a meal one night, which was all local specialities and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend treating yourself to this, and she even taught us to make orecchiette, which was a lot of fun, and of course a lot more difficult than she made it look! There was also a Simpson rep at the airport to greet us and help us, which was an added bonus. I have not used Simpson Travel before and I only wish I had known about them before now, but I will certainly be using them again. I cannot recommend them more highly as a company, and if you wish to explore the beautiful area of Puglia, please consider Tenuta Fonte – you will not find a better villa. Fiona Crace

Fantastic experience: Villa Nepita was lovely with a view to die for in beautiful Corsica. The beaches were close by and I managed to tick riding on a beach off my bucket list! The food was tremendous with some fabulous restaurants in nearby Porto Vecchio. Simply Travel were fantastic, highly recommend.
