Fantastic experience: Had problems with paying online so contacted tui by telephone and spoke to Chardonnay. What a little gem. Professional, polite, helpful, bubbly. Chardonnay visited hotel we’re going to so gave me recommendations for tours/trips, full of knowledge where to go. Couldn’t have wished for better service. Think I’ll be phoning up Chardonnay in future instead of booking online.

Fantastic experience: Normally i would go online and search around but on this occasion I was feeling a bit lazy and thought I would let someone else do the legwork, and so glad that I did. I spoke to a very helpful Kelly Cussons. I gave her a quite vague idea of what was required by us and in no time at all several recommendations were made. What made it more appealing was that she had visited some of these places herself and it wasn't just sales patter. Also all the necessary extra were done by her which has really taken the pressure off. Just counting down the days now. Will be booking through TUI again.

We initially went in to book our wedding when there was a spanner thrown in the works when no wedding dates were available for our chosen hotel and destination. Positive experience: Booked online but needed help from the branch a couple of times and also paid there. Mostly helpful but when it came to providing vaccination and visa advice on our destination we were told they don't get involved in any of that. Strange because they got involved in taking a significant sum of money from us. Could just be me and maybe that's how travel agents are now. Still, I thought it was a bit off but I'm trying to be constructive. Holidays are a big deal for most people a bit more enthusiasm would have been welcome.

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from a perfect holiday in Bali, booked via Skegness branch of TUI. Everything was amazing, and excelled our expectations. We had a slight hiccup with checking in for our return flight (through Malaysian airlines app), but I was able to contact TUI and Alana was very helpful and the problem got sorted, which saved us so much stress. Cannot wait for our next TUI holiday in may!!

Fantastic experience: I visited the Skegness branch for some exchange money for my holiday. Grainne served me and was so accommodating. Normally when exchanging money, shops only give £50 and £100 notes, however Grainne was more than happy to provide me with £5, £10, and £20 notes which I was grateful for. Grainne, Answered every question I had and went out of her way to find the answer. Couldn’t recommend more and will definitely be booking every holiday through them in the future.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from an amazing family holiday in Egypt. Kelly was fantastic and found us a 5* hotel with a water park, for £500 less than we had planned to spend elsewhere!!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently booked a P and O cruise in the Skegness travel shop but the problems created by P and O were a nightmare.We had a future cruise discount and extra on board credit due to a cruise cancelled by P and O last year but they said we hadn’t, the sales lady Kelly and her colleagues managed to sort this out after numerous phone calls to them,I doubt I would have had the patience myself .We have booked many holidays over the years with this shop and will continue too as they know what we want and always provide a holiday that suits us. Negative experience: Information is power and staff reluctant to offer any also thought i made a mistake with our booking and when i asked about the possible outcome they offered no help just said we would loose all our money. Thanks Tui, now back to booking with Jet2

Fantastic experience: Recently booked my 4th holiday in the last 12 months with this store. Each one has been handled with great efficiency and politeness. The staff are always courteous and helpful and are a credit to TUI. Will carry on using this store for all my holidays.

Negative experience: Five staff, three dealing with customers, one on the telephone but not apparently talking to anyone, one using a computer. ONE, (dealing with a customer) did look up and said "Someone will be with you shortly" but the rest didn't even look. After a period of waiting another person wearing a coat came from the back and said "Someone will be with you shortly" and then left. Another customer joined me at the currency counter and waited for a while then left. After waiting for a while longer, I too left. No wonder travel agents are struggling to survive.

Fantastic experience: Have booked with TUI for the last 4 years and have had no problems

Negative experience: Back in May in my role a s a support worker, I took a person with Autism and learning difficulties to a TUI premium hotel on Menorca, the first time he had been abroad. On the 3rd night i got food poisoning and had to spend 24 hours in bed, which meant he could not go out and was confined to the room. At meal times i managed to get him to the restaurant so he could eat and drink, but the rest of the time he sat on the balcony. We did manage to get out the other 3 days, but he could not enjoy the holiday as he should have as i was still very ill. When we returned home my illness lasted in all for 2 weeks, and I was given antibiotics. The reason for this review is that 7 months later and with all the information and proof of what happened to me, TUI have still not sorted this out. It took them nearly 4 months to even give it to their legal team, and from them i have been told that i will have to wait 6 months for them to give me an answer. To make matters even worse, i sent 2 emails to Mr Freidrich Joussen, who is the CEO of TUI. And guess what? i did not even get a reply from him, tells you all you need to know about the company. When i did return from the holiday i went into the TUI shop in Skegness to ask them to start the complaint, only for them to tell me i had to do it myself, they would not get involved. We are told that you need to book through a travel agent, so you get back up, but not where i live, just book the holiday and forget about you when you have a problem. This is such a disgusting way to treat a person with the complex needs of the disabled person i took away, as he keeps asking me, how the complaint is going, and when i tell him, nothing is happening, you can understand how upset he becomes. If this is the way TUI treats disabled people, there is no hope for the rest of us. Will be back on here if this complaint is not resolved in a satisfactory way.

Fantastic experience: Great staff and great service , I live in Great Yarmouth but have holiday home in Skegness , I always prefer to use the Skegness store as the service is 100% , where as my home town store is an absolute shambles, every time , rude miserable staff and sooo slow .
