Fantastic experience: Just coming back off a Torquay 4 day trip, & just have to comment on our lovely driver, Jack , due to an accident on the M6 he informed everyone about a detour we needed to do. He kept us up dated all the time. Excellent service. Been away with Ogdens a few times & will continue. Good work Jack.

Positive experience: Went on holiday with them years ago. Great experience and value for money. Only downside is, they don't book enough single rooms so we keep getting let down when trying to book holidays with them. Would have given 5 stars only for that. Such shame as there are lots of us who would like to go on holidwy with them but due to no single rooms we end up booking witb other coach companies.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. First time with this company but will definitely use again. Good communication from the word go. Easy to book. Wonderful driver (john) he was able to speedily resolve any issues, nothing was to much trouble. We stayed at the winnock hotel for burns night. Every aspect of this holiday was excellent.

Fantastic experience: On Saturday 16th November myself and a friend did the Whitby day out. I would just like to say how fabulous the driver was. His name was Mike and he is a credit to your company. He had a great sense of humour, was pleasant, polite and helpful. I look forward to Mike being our driver on future trips

Fantastic experience: Day trip to Blackpool with a run through the illuminations on the way home. Received a phone call the day before advising an earlier pick up time from that advertised. The coach was ready and waiting for us when arrived at Central Station in Warrington. Mike, our driver, completed the pick ups from elsewhere and then we set off for Blackpool. The coach parked in the central coach park right by the tower. We visited the Dungeons and Madame Tussauds before getting back on the coach for a run to Bishpam and the start of the illuminations. A fabulous day out, excellent value for money and a smashing driver, Mike, who really looked after us.

Fantastic experience: 6 of us went to Whitby and Scarborough on 11th October. We had a lovely time. Coach turned up on time. We changed coaches at Lyme. Andy was our driver .He was great, so obligeing and helpful. Top marks to all concerned making our weekend away memorable.

Fantastic experience: Just had our first coach tour holiday with OGDENS We did the 7 days 6 nights tour of the HEBRIDES , and it was fantastic. Peter the drive was brilliant making sure everyone was taken care of, NOTHING was to much trouble. All of the the hotels were lovely and comfortableand the meals were great, only one bad one the whole holiday, We had such a lovely time were looking to book again with them

Fantastic experience: First coach trip with ogdens we stepped in last minute after my grandparents were unable to attend was a fantastic experience door to door pick up was amazing , did a 7 day river cruise on the Mosel in germany few little things that could be changed but to be honest that was more with Arosa (ship company) Jack was our driver and a lovely lad he was too! Very professional informative and had time for us all. great experience

Negative experience: Went on a coach holiday with ogdens to eastbourne,we stayed at the cumberland hotel. The hotel was ok only just, the food was terrible we had to eat out a few times for tea,the breakfast was just as bad only basic food. One of the staff at the hotel was rude and unhelpful with a bit of an attitude (a lady). We went to ogdens to complain (i did put a review on trip advisor). I took a 3 page complaint into ogdens,we explained how bad the food was the lady who dealt with us said "it can't be that bad" we have used this hotel for a long time, my partner said "have you been and stayed" to which she replied "no", my partner then said "well until you go you don't know". Then i got told of the lady my review will damage the hotels reputation and possibly cause staff to get sacked. Why it's my opinion. I don't think she has sent my 3 page letter of complaint to the hotel,because she said you have done a review. We have not heard anything else from them so obviously it's just been swept under the carpet. I think it's rude just to be left. We definitly won't be using ogdens again,because once they have taken your money they are not interested in any complaints.

Fantastic experience: A first class service, wonderful staff and Drivers

Positive experience: Went on the Majestic Mid Wales & Llandrindod Wells tour, staying at Metropole Hotel as a group of 3 with my elderly parents for 4 nights. Had a lovely time despite a couple of hiccups with the hotel. ( I will be putting a separate review on the Hotels website regards to these as not David Ogdens fault) The tour was very well organised and our driver Tony was brilliant. He gave very clear instructions, was very patient and pleasant. He was also an excellent driver, navigating some tight manoeuvres especially on the Elan Valley trip. I felt safe at all times. The only problem encountered , which the head waitress lady blamed David Ogden for, was the evening meal time. We had not been allocated specific seats to be able to sit together and so when the waitress told us to sit anywhere we were then accused of pinching other peoples places! In order for us to be able to sit on the same table together I had to insist they lay another place making a round table of 6 into 7 which at first the waitress was reluctant to do. It was embarrassing. The waitress explained there was enough places for everyone in the room but David Ogdens should have given the hotel a seating plan with the configuration of party numbers and then the lack of 3 seats together would not have happened. The food was excellent though. Plenty of choice for evening meals and large portions. Buffet breakfast also fabulous. We also had 2 evenings entertainment, a lovely lady singer one night and the Builth Welsh Male voice choir who were magnificent another night. All in all the tour was excellent value for money and I would recommend.

Positive experience: Had 3 day trips with them. 1st one no aircon. Roasting at the back and freezing at the front. 2nd. Bus forgot to pick 8 of us up for Llandudno. Sent a uncomfortable feeder bus to take us there. Normal coach back. 3rd trip. Coach was not fit for the trip. Loud hissing noise from the drivers seat who reported it. Emergency ceiling exit falling down. Toilets not working. Side emergency door kept coming open on the road and motorway. Air con not working. On our return the coach broke down so had to wait for a new coach. No compensation or credit note given for inconvenience. They are not interested. Just want your money. Won't be booking them again.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first coach holiday with Ogdens to beautiful Falmouth in the beautiful Membley hotel with the most stunning sea views. I travelled alone but never felt alone met some lovely people the hotel staff couldn't do enough for you our Driver Jamie was very helpful and the trips were great. Cannot wait Ogdens to book my next holiday.

Positive experience: Our first coach holiday with ogdens nice hotel driver Jim absolutely fantastic couldn’t have done any more for the passengers a great guide and driver hotel very good food great room great all in all a great trip too Durham and holy island and the surrounding places of interest we were just a bit disappointed that the toilet on the coach was not working for the duration of the holiday on contacting ogdens I was told that the toilet facilities is not necessary on the shorter breaks as the stops are made quite frequent which they are. Ogdens tell me no toilet facilities are advertised in its brochure I will take this into consideration if I book any other coach trips

Fantastic experience: We have returned today from a holiday in Llandudno Thank you Ogdens and Andy our driver. Special thanks to the staff at the Merrion Hotel the accommodation and the food was first class. We had entertainment every night from talented singers and two excellent outings. The Portmerion was fantastic. We made lots of new friends and hope to repeat this holiday later this year.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from Treacys in Waterford. Our driver was Jack. Very good driver very informative and nothing was too much trouble to him. The hotel wasnt as good as Treacys in Enniscorthy as regards to food. Too many coaches staying.

Fantastic experience: My elderly Mum and her friend have just returned from a 6 day trip to the Isle of Wight - they had a fantastic trip, great hotel and entertainment, lovely tours and all made easy by the excellent service offered by their driver Jack who couldn’t do enough for the group. Fantastic experience: My mum and dad have just returned from a 5 day holiday to loch lomond. They loved the holiday excellent food and the hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble and also the evening entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. But a special mention now for our coach driver Neil a lovely chap who dealt with our little hiccup at Carlisle very sympathetically and made us feel at ease and also the lady in the office who helped us as well. Thankyou so much will recommend David Ogden to our family and friends.

Positive experience: I have just returned from a five day holiday to Tenby. After an initial disappointing start, on arrival at the hotel, where I was put into a room which could only be described as very basic at best. I asked to be moved which I was given a choice of two other rooms, again one was very basic the other was a front room with a view over the beach and sea, although this came at an extra charge I accepted this room. Had nothing else been available I would have made my own way home. Apart from this initial disappointment the rest of the holiday was very good. This was my first time with Ogdens but it won't be my last.

Fantastic experience: Went a few day trips last yr loved them also a weekend away in December to Scotland what a lovely time we had the drivers are so nice and very helpful, the hotel was so nice and staff couldn't do enough to help. We are booking again for this yr..

Negative experience: Why do this firm not show true reviews. On 2nd July went to on 4 night London trip. Driver never told anyone his name. hotel out of way. No meals at night took 12 hours from 8 am in morning to 8 pm getting to hotel never again

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. We used this tour company for the first time and will certainly be booking with them again. Staff are amazing. The hotel they used gave excellent service in every way.

Negative experience: I was on the trip to the Dolomites, picked up at 3 20 am, 21 hours later arrived at the overnight hotel. Another 10 hour journey next day. 3 day excursions were on the itinerary, only 1 executed. One was missed completely, the other to Merano was a few hours at the railway station, miles from the town centre. A 9 day holiday involved a 5 day journey, with only 1 pleasant day excursion. Not good.

Negative experience: Rubbish driver

Positive experience: WARNING to anyone who has booked holiday to Italian Dolomites. Just returned from this holiday got picked up at 4.30am didn't arrive at our overnight hotel until just before midnight just under 19 hours.Everybody was absolutely exhausted. Up next morning breakfast early on the road again for 10 hours.Hotel food just OK issue's with veg not enough for everyone (had to queue to get your own) and it was cold. Enjoyed rest off holiday. Return journey pleasant

Fantastic experience: Westport, County Mayo, Ireland (Clew Bay Hotel) Arrived on Monday 9th October to a wonderful welcome from the staff at The Clew Bay Hotel. The Hotel was lovely especially the Restaurant,the food was excellent and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them! Our driver Trevor was a great laugh and did his utmost to make it a nice holiday for us all even though one or two were not happy as there were no services on our route but all credit to Trevor he did drive around trying to find facilities for us but unfortunately in some parts of Ireland you will not find so many. Anyhow that said I think a vast majority of the coach party enjoyed themselves and I for one would definitely go on this holiday again. Most of the coach party said we could have done with an extra day as we were really enjoying ourselves!

Fantastic experience: 5 day holiday at Cambridge.Our coach driver Neil was superb, nothing was to much trouble, always smiling. The Marriott hotel at Huntingdon was excellent, the breakfast buffet was excellent our only complaint was the evening meal. The amount of food served was inadequate, it consisted of 3 halves of the smallest potatoes I have ever seen and vegetables we couldn’t identify, very poor. We fully understand that to make the holiday work financially to both parties at an affordable price remains tough, but we feel potatoes are not the most expensive item! David Ogden holidays are excellent value, after our experience with the new Shearings we would have no hesitation in recommending them, well done. David and Shirley.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from 2 night stay visiting Blenheim Palace, Henley on Thames and Oxford. Fantastic driving couple (Dave and Sam), helpful, friendly, smartly dressed and punctual. The hotel was great; clean and modern and the food was very good although after dinner coffee was not included in our package! Looking forward to our next trip

Fantastic experience: Returned last week from an amazing holiday at The Victoria hotel in Torquay. Very friendly & helpful staff - food at all meals was delicious - good choice & always hot - as were the plates. Thanks to the amazing weather, we were able to have lunch outside overlooking the pool on 2 occasions. X Big thank you to our excelleny driver Martin for getting us there & back safely. I hope he never comes across old Mrs Gallaway in his boot! X

Negative experience: Very badly planned day trip. Passengers not being collected or dropped off properly, having to argue with driver to get the company to book them taxis home causing big delays. Even Carol Odgden had to drive people in her car! Even on the coach the two drivers (who took it in turns) were muppets. One of them took 1 hour to get to Scarborough from bridlington. It's only a half hour drive so no idea what he was up to. When we got there he wouldn't stop the coach and let us off. He kept going on the main road until we came out the other side and Scarborough was a dot shrinking in his rear view mirror. Then he drove to the sealife centre. Then he drove away from the sealife centre again. Then he went back to scarborough. Then he went on the coastal road and got stuck in traffic until he gave up and blocked the street to chuck us off. In total he turned a half hour journey from bridlington to scarborough into an hour and a half. When we got there we only had time to eat something and then had to get back on again. Total waste of time and money.

Positive experience: I would recommend the Rich+Famous weekend to anyone. Well done Ogdens, just a pity the driver spent too much time at services, instead of getting us to the boat for afternoon tea on time. 4.30pm. was too late .

Fantastic experience: Great weekend on the Windsor Rich & Famous Cruise with excursion to Hampton Court Palace. The only let down was arriving an hour late for afternoon tea on the Thames - the boat and afternoon tea were fabulous, but disappointed with only 1 hour sail rather than 2 hours. Nonetheless, great weekend had by all.

Positive experience: Overall a great holiday my only problem was the timing of the evening meal 7.30 is too late for me would have preferred it to be an hour or so earlier and it was served in a bit of a rush because there were three coaches in at one time and coming to eat at hourly intervals too many people for it to be a pleasant experience a bit like a canteen but the staff were lovely and tried hard to please everyone

Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant weekend in Lytham St Anne’s, couldn’t fault it. Jim our driver was lovely, he took us to Lytham Hall on Friday and had a great deal of knowledge about the area. The hotel was great and the staff couldn’t do enough for you, food was lovely too and good choice of menu. The best thing about the coach holiday is you get friendly with the other passengers, some we’ve seen before on other trips and some new, but you all come away as friends. We’re now looking for our next trip. ( With Ogden Travel of course )

Packed lunch on two day trips - One to Edinburgh and another to Loch Lomond and surrounding area. Lovely hotel and staff. Excellent food. Jim, our driver, was very friendly and helpful. Fabulous time. Excellent value for money. First time with Ogdens but definitely not the last.

Fantastic experience: Day trip to York Xmas markets, fabulous. Weather bad, but feeder mini bus picked us up and dropped us to main coach. Coach was clean and comfortable. Joe, driver, excellent, kept us informed of journey times and a very comfortable ride. Would highly recommend this company and will certainly use them again.

Negative experience: Mercure Bristol longleat Bath tour 2nd till 4th Dec hotel food cold rubbish quanity and service room all electrics blew receptionist not helpful made me change room no help get my belongings out dark room late at night gave me another room that was problems no heat no TV working to be told by guy worked thier problems on 3rd floor but when asked why I wasn't told he couldn't answere driver miserable hardly communicated rushed us around didn't he lady who disabled get her walker from coach hotel lift disabled didn't work horrible weekend longleat was rushed told ticket included in out package for house when we got thier told house booked up lousy few hours rushing around travelled hear years ago hotel gone down and so has ogdens I'm afraid

Negative experience: Coach OK, hotel OK , The food is dire, how can you stay in a hotel with a menu serving other guests and be given a seperate lower choice with such a poor choice and quality. Boiled chicken, bistro gravy, 2 baby carrots and a frozen roast potato. No haddock fish cake and chips, 6 prawns cocktail, over cooked leather style pork chop. I could go on, I hope Thursford is better. The Fox pub has good food.

Negative experience: Disgraceful company! "Lost" luggage. We only went on two coaches, how can they allow this to happen. Feel totally fobbed off!

Negative experience: Not what was promised , then lost are case , now got to go through insurance this only on Friday 18 November 2022, have been in touch so many to be fobbed off this was a Tenby trip so upsetting so much money lost

Negative experience: Driving my car when a driver from this company verbally abused me because HE PARKED HIS VAN ON THE ROAD AND DECIDED TO GET OUT BLOCKING TRAFFIC BOTH WAYS. Registration plate was MK52 YDE. Parked up outside my house where he decided to throw the 2 fingers up at me when he drove past. Can’t your drivers just park up in the most convenient place for other road users instead of the most convenient place for them? Shocking driving. Probably won’t look twice at Ogden travel again.

Negative experience: We travelled to Ostend in September 22 the travel side of the tour was good but the hotel Royal Astid was a insult for the cost of the holiday. Staff were down right rude even when the driver had a word. there was no choice of meals which was not in your brochure. The hotel bar was packed every night no where to sit but to order a drink you had to be seated I have wrote to you and have waited for a reply but have not received one, The pick up goint to Lymm was ok but extra drop off on return we paid £40 pound each on top of price of the holiday. Can you please explain Why you answer good reviews and not the ones that point out problems which you were aware of whilst we were staying there

Fantastic experience: We had a good holiday but was a bit annoyed that the driver wouldn't stop on the way home from Windsor to Liverpool and there were a few on the coach that couldn't get to the toilet. Not very well organized at Lymn Services we were all a bit confused

Negative experience: Went on an Ogden’s coach to a football game, the coach caught fire and burnt to a crisp, the driver said the coach was cheap and poor quality built in Turkey. wouldn’t go on a Ogden’s again

Negative experience: My parents booked a holiday for their 50th anniversary. The hotel facilities completely changed so they cancelled and asked for their deposit back. They have been told that can take 6 weeks. Why should they wait 6 weeks when it's not their fault the holiday changed

Negative experience: Would not travel again with this firm. Day excursion was a total disaster and when we went to ask what was going to happen regarding refund etc found the staffs attitude in the office rude and abrupt

Negative experience: Good morning. unfortunately I wish to make a complaint about a holiday myself and 8 friends made last week to heart of England singles trip. We have been with Ogdens several times and have always rated them very highly. Day 1 was OK, although one of our party had a bad fall in Lichfield and had to go to A and E in Worcester. Hotel was nice rooms and food very good. Day 2: Monday - according to the itinerary, we turned up for a train journey from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster. The train doesn't run on a Monday. Coach driver decides to take us to Coalbrookdale Museum which was on the itinerary for Wednesday . He took the coach down a narrow country lane where there was a low bridge 12ft 3ins high- coach driver rang Ogdens to check height of coach, no one knew, a lorry driver in front of us had a tape measure, coach is 12ft 6. So he had to reverse back up the country lane for 5 miles before joining the main road. Then he went down another country lane, we all shouted to him that this road also had a low bridge, too late, he was half way down before he realised and had to do a number of manoeuvres, to leave the road. At which point he said "sod it" and took us to Ironbridge, then Blists hill . As so much time had been wasted, we only had 90 minutes in Blists Hill, which is a museum which needs at least 3-4 hours to see everything. Day 3- Stratford , nice day river trip. no issues Day 4- train ride Bridgnorth to Kidderminster which was really good. However we then had 3 hours to kill in Kidderminster, which was quite frankly ridiculous. Apart from a carpet factory, there is nothing there. The walk into the town centre is very steep, so much so, a large number of the less mobile had to stay in the train station until it was time to get on the coach. Why couldn't we have gone to Coalbrookdale and Blists Hill on the Wednesday as specified on the itinerary? Why did Ogdens not check that the train doesn't run on a Monday? We feel we have been short changed in this holiday, and will be reluctant to book with Ogdens again.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient booking, pickup and travel. The Trouville Hotel in Sandown, Isle of Wight, was excellent. Well maintained with good, comfortable room and good food. The staff were all helpful and worked hard. The driver, Bob, made everyone feel safe and confident and was always punctual. June 2022.

Negative experience: Went on a day trip to Garstang & Lytham. On way there the driver gave people the option of getting off at Lytham or Lytham St Anne’s. We chose the latter. Driver said be back at coach for 5.30. We arrived back at coach at latest 5,27 only to see the coach driving off. We waved frantically at coach who then went around the corner and stopped thankfully. We then had to cross two busy main roads to run after the coach. On getting onboard the driver looked annoyed and said 5.30, other passengers also piped up they had been on the coach since 5.20! After our walk of shame we sat down and I checked the time and it was exactly 5.30! The coach had therefore left early and because the driver gave the two Lytham options he had obviously not counted how many people should have been at Lytham St Anne’s to collect. Found the whole experience very embarrassing for absolutely no fault of our own as we were absolutely there on time. God knows what we would have done if we had been stranded there. Will never use Ogdens again after this. No apology and made to feel like WE had done something wrong when we clearly were there before the leaving time.

Positive experience: I was able to find what I wanted know easily.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful holiday in the Wye Valley with Paul driving us. The accommodation at Bells Hotel and country club was excellent. Food was fresh and homemade. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Trips to Symonds Yat ,Hay on Wye, and Bath were fantastic. Thanks Paul for your driving skills patience and humour.

Fantastic experience: My driver was Paul he was absolutely brilliant and kind. He told everyone exactly where he was to pick us up and what times to meet back. He always did a head count and people to make sure everyone was back on the coach safely and checked how everyone was and the hotel was lovely it was the courtyard Marriott in London Heathrow. Great company WILL NOT BE OUR LAST with them! :) First time in London and enjoyed the Harry Potter Tour! Also would like the add it was great pricing for this little trip.

Fantastic experience: I went on my first coach holiday with my family, i travelled to Harry Potter tours. My driver was Paul, the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. I couldn’t fault this company we are all looking forward to our next coach tour in November.
