Fantastic experience: Our 3rd stay in 2 Point View. We love this cottage! Spacious but still cosy and so comfortable. It's in a great location near the centre of Blakeney but it's so quiet. We loved the fact that we could decide to have a late evening walk on the quay side to look at the amazing skies and be there in a couple of minutes. Having two parking spaces right outside is an added bonus. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and everything is spotless. We really appreciated the welcome gifts - wine, apple juice, tea bags and biscuits - and the Christmas tree was so pretty. We have stayed in Blakeney many times and have always used properties managed by Blakeney Cottage Company. They are so helpful, friendly and efficient. Looking forward to returning next year to Blakeney and 2 Point View.

Fantastic experience: High Tides, in High St, Blakeney was a first class choice for a pre Christmas family get together. The welcome pack on arrival was appreciated. The accommodation was clean and well presented throughout. High Tides is in a superb location, handy for restaurants & hotels, and the walk to Cley via the salt marshes. It is comfortable, and was cosily warm throughout our whole 1 week stay at the end of November. We especially enjoyed the large picture window feature in the lounge-it allows lots of daylight into the sitting area and a view of the quay. It was the most popular seat in the lounge. It felt easy to stay home at High Tides during inclement weather and just enjoy slow time together.

We are so sorry to learn that someone had parked in the private parking space during your stay and appreciate how frustrating this would be particularly with a young baby. As you may have noticed, the parking space does have signage, however, sometimes members of the public choose to ignore the notice.

Positive experience: Excellent location for a short winter weekend break. Welcome pack a nice touch and the property was warm during the entire stay. The log burner was an added bonus. Kitchen area had everything you would need and the shower was really good. The stairs were a bit of a challenge although we were aware of this having experienced this type of property in North Norfolk before. Our only issue was the beds which were on uneven floors making the beds, in this case, slope from side to side. A bit of carpentry could rectify this.

Fantastic experience: Great few days at Quay House at Cley-next-the-Sea. House had averything we could need and was very warm and comfortable. The view across the marshes and the windmill was beautiful. It would have been nice to have some local information of places to visit and recommendations for places to eat. Possibly a visitors book.

Fantastic experience: We’ve just had a lovely stay at 2 Garden Cottages in Blakeney. It’s set within the grounds of the Blakeney House Hotel and was so peaceful. Location is perfect, walking distance to the quay and the coastal path. The parking was a real bonus, not many cottages have this in the village and it saved the stress of pulling up on the High Street to unload. Everything worked perfectly in the cottage, well-equipped kitchen, cosy living room, great shower, super comfy beds! We didn’t use the TV, it would have been good to have a speaker to be able to connect a phone to listen to music but it’s not an issue, we’ll just take our own next time. There’s a couple of places in the cottage that could use a look; mouldy curtains in the back bedroom and there’s clearly been a leak in the bathroom, could just use a lick of paint on some of the woodwork. But other than that, the cottage is pretty perfect and I’m sure we’ll be back for another visit to 2 Garden Cottages next year!

Fantastic experience: We had a stay at Brewers Barn Letheringsett to celebrate my 60th birthday with family and it was a perfect location for us. A few minutes from Holt, 10/15 mins from the coast and a beautiful pub:restaurant on the doorstep. The property had everything we needed and more. Positive experience: Really like High Tides, our 3rd visit. Great location plus parking. Only disappointment was that you could no longer control the heating you had to ring up. Bit of a pain. Same re the shower which was fixed at an ok temperature for a shower but was too cold for a nice bath when we got back from a cold day. Think this needs to be made clear when booking.

There shouldn't have been any problem with the heating controls and please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. Should you decide to rebook High Tides, please do let us know if there are any problems at all so we can resolve them to you satisfaction. The owner does control the heating during the periods when the property is unoccupied. Similarly, we would have reviewed the water temperature, however, the property does have a domestic tank that takes time to reheat the water once it has been drained.

Fantastic experience: We were impressed with how much had been fitted into this lovely little cottage; it was so cosy and comfortable. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated! Although it was a cold week we found the radiators were adequate heating so didn't light the log burner. We parked in the pay and display car park just up the hill, which had plenty of spaces available, although in high season this may not be the case. We would be happy to stay in Cobblestones again, and may well be looking to do that at some point next year. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience: A lovely home at Granary Quay View for our week long break with grown up family. Very well appointed house, right on the quay. Ideal for walking, seal boating and pubbing! Log burner was fantastic. Problem with electrics and heating one afternoon, one call to the office and sorted within half an hour! Excellent service! Had a great time.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely stay at Summerdown Cottage. Beautiful accomodation, comfortable and cosy. We purchased some logs for the log burner as the temperature outside went down to minus 2. Underfloor heating worked perfectly and we were too hot with the log burner . Was a bit concerned as no instruction on where to put ash. It was still warm on the morning we left so I left it in situ. Only realised the bathroom mirror was heated and it had lights after a couple of days. Some taps a bit wobbly. No key to front door just french doors. All very minor things and didn't detract from our enjoyment of the cottage in any way. Thank you

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely weekend stay and booked both the hay barn and upper hall farm. We celebrated 2 birthdays so was a great way to have the whole family there! Eveything was clean and the aga in upper hall farm kept us all cosy. We hope to return again after a fantastic weekend. There was plenty of crockery and pots and pans to cook a big family roast. Fantastic experience: We have recently stayed at The Captains rest, a truly lovely studio on the ground floor of The Granary Blakeney. The location was absolutely perfect, we had everything we needed in the accommodation and a lovely private outside seating area. Fantastic experience: Cobblestones was very comfy and cosy and I had a really lovey stay. The cottage is small but perfectly formed, but the ceiling and size of the shower may be difficult for tall or larger visitors. The bedroom, bathroom and lounge were all well equipped and the log burner was very welcome with the logs and fire lighters provided as it was very cold. The location was perfect being so close to the quay. My only comment was a lack of a microwave but I appreciate this is a very small space so the oven was perfectly adequate. The complimentary rose wine cookies Borfolk tea and Apple juice was a very lovely touch and very generous. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. Paula

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Courtyard Cottage on Friary Farm, a lovely little place, ideally suited for walks along the marshes and into town. It was spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed. (Just one small note; the TV could possibly do with an upgrade to allow more streaming services.) The directions were clear, the facilities were as stated, and there was a lovely gift of some local produce on the table. I would absolutely stay again.

Positive experience: Stayed at 2 Garden Cottages for the 9th time. The cottage is ideally situated for us. Overall,we loved our stay,it was just a few things that we noticed need attention. It's mainly clean,but could do with a touch up of paint in a few places. The curtains in the front bedroom are slightly mouldy,it could do with a roman l blackout blind. The spotlight from near the tree in the car park opposite shines directly into the room. The sofa in the lounge is getting tired and could do with renewing. Cushions and blankets are wool, which is unfortunate for those of us who have an allergy to wool.... We're definitely coming back again though despite these slight niggles as it's our 2nd home.

Fantastic experience: I loved it so much at Gullridge Cottage I extended my stay! The location was super and having a drive to park the car was a bonus, especially as the bus stop for the Coasthopper was so close. The house itself was really very comfortable, spacious and bright and I felt so at home. The garden was fully secure for the dog. There was everything I needed…it really was very easy to be there. As always with Blakeney Cottage Company the quality of property was very high and it was very clean. A definite recommend from me.

The property benefits from some of the finest views over the Quay, which can be especially spectacular during bird migration season. We understand that a comfortable bed is essential for rest and relaxation, and we appreciate your feedback.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the cleaners still being in the cleaning process when you arrived. I have looked into the matter and have been advised that, due to an exceptionally busy changeover day and a number of properties having been left in poor condition, the housekeeping team fell slightly behind schedule. While we always aim to have all properties ready by 4:00pm, our booking conditions do state that check-in may be between 4:00pm and 5:00pm in the event of unforeseen delays.

Positive experience: Gillie Cottage is in the perfect location and we enjoyed 5 days walking, eating out locally at the fantastic ‘Moorings’ and ‘The Blakeney Hotel’ and cosy nights in by the fire. Very cosy beds and the house felt warm We booked thinking there was a bath (photos online and in description of facilities!) so we were disappointed to discover there wasn’t one! Not a huge deal but we really look forward to a relaxing bath after big walks! Overall we had a great time there but the downstairs felt ‘tired’ and the worktops, crockery, sink caddy’s etc could do with a re-fresh and the outside patio too, just felt a bit tired…

Fantastic experience: We spent a long weekend celebrating my father’s 90th birthday at Upper Hall Farm. The house is fabulous- spacious, clean and a bathroom for every room. (Maybe a couple of hooks in the top bedroom would help as there is nowhere at all to hang any clothes) We all had a fabulous time and the house totally suited the occasion. Lots of space for people to break off and do different activities etc. Thank you also for recommending Emma from Bayfield who cooked a delicious celebratory meal for us. We would love to return in the future.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that the coffee machine was out of action as the mechanism had been jammed. It has been for repair and I have been informed to day that it is has been repaired and is ready to be returned to the property.

Positive experience: We stayed at Riverside House at Cley. Location was fantastic with great views and house was well laid out and roomy but parking was tricky car got blocked in. House was a little tired for example TV screen was cracked, some crockery was chipped and there was no cold water in kitchen. Overall the place could do with a little care and attention.

We were sorry to learn that although the property has 3 parking spaces your car was blocked in and I'm sure you found this inconvenient, however, there is general parking in the Loke for local residents that we cannot predict.
I have checked with the maintenance department why there was a problem with the cold water. They have advised me that due to the cold water pipes running next to the hot water tank the cold water needs to be run through a while before it runs cold. I have also checked why the TV has been left in the property with a cracked screen. The TV is a replacement for a previously damaged one. The TV had only been in the property for a short time when the screen was damaged. The TV has been checked for picture quality and as this isn't affected by the crack, the owners have decided not to replace it at this time.
I will pass your feedback on to the housekeeping department and ask them to check all crockery for damage as I understand it isn't pleasant to use.

Fantastic experience: Lovely house with well proportioned bedrooms and bathrooms. Large living are with comfortable sofas, tv, kitchen and very large dining table was great. The children (7 and 4) enjoyed craft activities on the table, jigsaws and lots of games. We liked the separate sitting room - good for the adults at night and great for the children for lego or playing on ipads in the day. We worked out about the recycling but a note in the house info might have saved us the time of having to google it. Plenty of space in the kitchen for storing your food (though it took us a few minutes to discover the revolving shelves). Location was great and there were plenty of places to eat in Thornham and nearby. The children would have preferred it if the house was nearer the coast as the 30 min walk was not possible forthem.But we went to other places including Brancaster, Wells and Hunstanton.

Fantastic experience: We stayed in lovely little Mulberry cottage, in Blakeney (always recommended) A very comfortable bed and the smaller bedroom was very useful for overspill, the cottage is very tiny. Well equipped although what would be nice is more than one soap (there are two bathrooms) etc. we had a couple of fires but would have appreciated some kindling and a couple of logs for the first night. We left some kindling and firelighters behind for the next guests. It’s in the description, of course but when you’ve come a long way it would be helpful. But the cottage is beautifully designed with a great deal of thought and some very handsome curtains, I admired them! We enjoyed unwinding there after our long walks.

Fantastic experience: Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Captain's Rest in Blakeney. The room itself was smart and well equipped. It is a studio ground floor apartment so all open plan but was very spacious, well designed, bright and welcoming. Plenty of lamps for subtle lighting too.The bed was comfy and I loved the duvet! We didn't cook but the kitchen area seemed very well stocked. Highlight was the book shelves and I was actually disappointed that the weather was quite good so I couldn't take advantage!!! Nice welcome gift of wine, apple juice, cookies and tea. The outside area was enclosed, useful as we brought our dog, and we didn't notice anyone using the shared access. The only things I would mention is the lack of a shelf in the bathroom to pop your toiletries, and no empty cupboard for storing food should you wish to cook. I was also disappointed with the list of rules regarding post stay cleaning. I would always do a quick hoover and tidy up before leaving but am now left feeling anxious that I am being judged and will I get my cleaning deposit back! With a 10:00 departure time there is a limit to how much should be expected. The £30 fee for pets should surely cover at least an hour's extra cleaning if dog hair is the problem. Blakeney itself is a lovely village. A well stocked Spar, several independent arts and gift shops, a cafe, and choice of pubs. We used the Kings Arms as dog friendly and lovely food. So nice and peaceful walking the dog along the river bank into the salt marshes. And I love the beaches and dunes of Holkham beach. Wells next the Sea was also perfect for destressing. Norfolk is the perfect place to unwind.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Sea Whispers for 3 nights. It was a very spacious and comfortable cottage with 3 double bedrooms with good storage and 2 spacious bathrooms. It had a well equipped large kitchen and comfortable lounge and parking for 2/3 cars. Blakeney is a lovely village with good pubs and we ate at The White Horse.

Positive experience: Have stayed at Granary cottage before, homely feel loved the treats you left for us, only complaint was the microwave could not fathom how to use it, there were no instructions, the only instructions were for a different microwave, but apart from that will definitely be booking again, it’s a rare find to have private parking in Blackney.

Positive experience: We stayed at Courtyard Cottage and found it well positioned for walking down to the Quay, comfortable, warm and spacious. The only improvement would be in the bathroom/ensuite rooms. The toilets were of an age - the downstairs one didn't always flush properly, and the upstairs one was stained, and the ensuite room itself looked tired (flooring etc). The shower head downstairs couldn't be adjusted (it wouldn't stay in place) so it was a bit tricky to use. The sofas were comfortable, but a bit grubby (the cloth covers probabaly needed replacing). The bed was very large and comfortable, and the dressing room spacious and warm.

Fantastic experience: We had 3 nights at North Down House between Blakeney and Morston. An easy walk to both places (no more than a mile). The house is lovely, very roomy and warm with everything we needed. Also great views from all windows and close to the footpath.

Positive experience: My wife and I plus 2 dogs have just spent 4 nights at Oystercatcher in Blakeney. I cannot see any other reviews of this cottage on here so I shall try to be as detailed as possible. First impressions were good, we arrived in October and so parking outside the house, which although narrow, was possible. The cottage looked nice and well equipped, a bottle of wine awaited us on the dining table from a local vineyard, very nice! However as there are no shops to buy anything in Blakeney, it may have been nice for the welcome pack to include some essentials like bread and milk, for those who have travelled far. Dont get me wrong, Oystecatcher is a lovely cottage in many ways but there are many things to consider if choosing this one. Firstly, to get to the main bedroom, you need to climb some pretty daunting steps, with poor lighting and a rope as a bannister, they are quite steep! At the bottom of the stairs is a door with a latch which has become worn and I became trapped on the first floor. Luckily my wife was on the ground floor and released me. Others may not be so lucky! The upstairs bathroom is nice, but the hot water only fills half the tub before running out, thus a good soak is impossible. Once again steps need to be negotiated to get down to the bathroom. On the ground floor is another bedroom with a double bed. Between the bedroom and the downstairs bathroom is a half step which constantly catches you out, particularly in the dark at night. There is a similar half step between the living room and the kitchen. Both of these steps tripped us up several times and on one occasion toes were sore. The kitchen is well equipped and tidy. Outside is an enclosed courtyard where the dogs can pee. Dogs are stated to be welcome, but I found merely tolerated. The aggressive emails we received beforehand and on arrival and in the guest notes onsite were quite fierce regarding the removal of all traces of dog on leaving the cottage and fines for any poos. My biggest criticism however is for the heating, In late October in the evening it was cool, goodness knows what winter would be like. There are heaters but these are controlled by an app held by the owners. They had set maximum temperatures in each room ranging from 17c to 19c. We were cold and called the owners to ask about heating and they used their app to raise the temoerature to 21 for 1 hour! The following evening it was colder still and we used the 3 logs they gave us in the wood burner, but the bedrooms were still cold. We did not feel like phoning the owners again so we went out for the evening, and on the last night wore coats. Not good enough! Also worthy of note were the annoying "catces" around the place. Little things sticking out in unexpected places that snagged clothes and skin. The most annoying was the sticking out screw in the downstairs bathroom portal, which snagged my jumper and arm at times. Nevertheless the cottage was beautifully located and an easy walk to the waterfront. Naerby was the exceleent Wiveton Bell where dog friendly suoerb meals are served . Had it been warmer, then the heating would not have been an issue. I was tempted to score it 2/5 bt felt that on the whole we had enjoyed our stay despite the nuances, so a 3/5 seemed fair.
Hello Dave, Thank you for posting your comprehensive review after your recent stay at Oystercatcher. Overall, we hope you enjoyed your time in Blakeney. The property is owner managed, we act as booking agents, so I wanted the owners’s comments prior to me responding to you.
As you found, Oystercatcher is a charming fisherman's cottage and this is reflected in the property lay out, presentation and Norfolk winder staircase that we do note on the website write up. We do try to be as accurate as possible promoting all properties on our website through the photographs and write up so that our guests can make an informed decision when choosing a suitable property. The master bedroom is the downstairs bedroom as this has the double bed and the second bedroom located upstairs has twin beds. It is noted on the website that there are several steps in the property.
It is concerning however, to learn that you were cold during your stay. The owners have advised us that the radiators were manually adjusted, and the heating was turned down. They have confirmed that they are contactable anytime should adjustments need to be made on the room temperature and that guests are able to manually control the temperature on each radiator. We will be monitoring any future reviews regarding the temperature of the property, so we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
The owners are grateful for your comments regarding the protruding screws and other catches around the property and they will be addressing these at their earliest opportunity.
All properties on our website are self-catering so no food items are supplied. Providing items like bread and milk creates a problem in itself as we would not be aware of personal preferences, dietary requirements and allergies. There is a Spar shop in Blakeney that is very well stocked with most items and is open daily from 7am to 8pm. Two Magpies located opposite the Quay sells fresh bread, pastries, coffees and teas and a selection of deli items. Westons fresh fish shop that is located next door to the Spar shop is open 9.30am to 4pm every day except Sunday's. All the shops are between 5 to 10 minutes walk from Oystercatcher, so I do hope you found shopping in Blakeney convenient once you had got to know the village. The bottle of wine was as gift left for you to enjoy from the owners.
Not all our guests have four legged companions and some have severe allergies to pets so we do have to be mindful of all guests requirements. We regularly monitor and amend the comments regarding house guidance for pets visiting our properties. Unfortunately, there have been occasions when our house checkers have found that the guidance has not been followed and gardens and courtyards have been left in unacceptable conditions, bedding has been left with dirty paw marks and dog hair evident throughout the property.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely stay in Slipway cottage in Blakeney. The location was excellent and parking such a bonus. The cottage was very pretty and comfortable but probably in need of a refresh. We had to use the electric heaters as it was quite chilly and they looked very dated with some heavily loaded sockets. The bed was very comfortable as were the chairs and sofa. There was ample crockery, cutlery glass and cookware. The range cooker was nice and clean but we couldn’t decipher the icons on the oven knob as they had worn away. The welcome pack was very thoughtful but we were a little disappointed with the lack of basic larder items that we have found elsewhere (ie a salt pot but no salt, and no cooking oil). Lastly just one toilet roll! Despite the negative comments we would definitely stay again - just bring extra provisions next time. Instructions regarding access were excellent but I think the bin collection dates/times may need updating. Thank you for a relaxing break in a lovely location.

Positive experience: We stayed at Samphire Cottage in Blakeney for 3 nights. A lovely cottage, for a couple or small family. Great facilities within the property, although the stairs are typical Norfolk stairs and very steep, so be aware if you have mobility requirements or small children. Car parking space is impossible to get into (tight corner with walls either side) and we were advised by residents that everyone reverses to access it. We parked in the Church Hall car park across the main road and found it safe enough to leave the cars there overnight. The cottage is conveniently next door to the Spar - however there are deliveries very early morning, which park outside the cottage and rattle trolleys etc. In all, a lovely couple of days for us to use as a base.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful few days staying in Riverside House in Cley. Perfect for large families, all the bedrooms are generous with en suite facilities. The living room, kitchen and dining room are one big open space, on the first floor taking advantage of the amazing views out. Even washing up was a treat!!! Perfect location with the beach and a pub next door. We would highly recommend riverside house and the Blakeney Cottage Company.

Fantastic experience: We stayed for 3 nights at 'Cobblestones' We knew that the cottage was small but that was fine although the shower was a bit tight! (but understandable given the space available) Woodburner was great and we never felt cold even though we endured 'Storm Benjamin' Handy for local pubs and eats. Parking just up the High Street about 150m £7 for 24hrs. Complimentary wine, juice, tea, toiletries and logs appreciated. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: We stayed in Chaffinch Cottage, just for 3 nights and it was really good. The car space was right outside the door, the garden was enclosed, a paved area outside the sliding patio doors, leading round to a raised lawn, perfect for the dogs. Table and chairs and bench outside had cushions inside the tall kitchen cupboard. Sadly, it wasn't really warm enough, meno to return in the summer!? The cottage was great, just what we needed. Two decent sized bedrooms, one ensuite, and a family bathroom. Well equipped with tea bags, biscuits, apple juice, cleaning items, all supplied. There is also a coffee maker and everything was really clean. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chaffinch Cottage and the very helpful people at The Blakeney Cottage Company.

Negative experience: Samphire Cottage Blakeney, stayed October.Four stars for service as booking, directions and replacement kettle was all carried out as it should be. Although did have to call into office to remind re replacement kettle. Two stars for location. Extremely busy but worse of all Spar delivery vans started delivering 6.30 every morning right under the bedroom window and 7am on Sunday ! No chance of a lie in or relaxing start to the day with cars constantly pulling up and setting off all day extremely close to the property. Three stars for rooms. Clean throughout but the cottage was stone cold when we arrived, the lighting in the living room is very dull and inadequate for reading, the natural light has been hampered by the large porch, no hanging hooks for coats inside anywhere downstairs (the instructions suggested hanging them in the cold un enclosed porch) the bed in double room extremely snug ,at most 1ft to walk at the end of the bed, which wouldn’t be so bad if the wooden legs of bed didn’t protrude out and make sure you stubbed your toes. Would have been much better with proper divan, at least less risk of breaking toes. All in all disappointed with accommodation and location.

Positive experience: We (5xAdults & 1xdog) recently stayed at FILDERS HIDE, Blakeney. This was a Lovely new build property with a spacious kitchen/diner that worked well for us with our pup!. (However It could have been cosier with a sofa and tv! in the kitchen area) The lounge was nice, however not everyone could see the TV when watching a movie! maybe a better TV unit and some comfier sofas would be nice.The garden was stated as fully enclosed however this was only the paved area with the gates closed, the grassed area was not enclosed. Also if Dogs are not allowed upstairs in this property a baby/dog gate should be provided free of charge (we brought our own)! We love coming to Blakeney and always use the Blakeney Cottage Company, We frequently use the King's Arms (lovley food) and the Harbour room which are always welcoming and friendly. Sunday Dinner and Bingo on Monday night was a real treat! We shall be back in Blakeney very soon. Pearson/Ince/Nelson

We will be reviewing the website write up as we don't usually advise guests that gardens are secure for dogs. Our general guidelines for accepting dogs is noted in the booking terms and conditions and I am attaching the section for your convenience: Dogs are accepted in certain properties by prior agreement at £30.00 each. Where Dogs are allowed please bring your own dog beds, towels and all necessary equipment to protect the cottage. You are to ensure that the dog is not allowed onto any furniture or in the bedrooms and that they are never left unattended at the property.

Fantastic experience: Seahorses is a lovely warm house in a quiet new estate. Everything works, the beds are comfortable and the sit out area is not overlooked, not that we used it as the weather was cool (unsurprisingly for October). One of the rare properties that we may return to. Blakeney has excellent restaurants, with the Moorings being our favourite, White Horse is good too.

Positive experience: We do love the flat but this time the carpets and single chairs were a bit grubby. Maybe the end of season clean is going to happen? The beds are comfortable. Our only slight problem is getting washing dry.

Positive experience: This is a beautiful cottage in a great location - with car parking and a small front garden ; just a few minutes walk from the harbour - what more could you need. We had a few issues with the wood burner door, and the sofas are less than comfortable but this did not detract from our stay.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Jesmond in Cley-next-the-Sea for a week. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The garden is lovely and we were lucky to see muntjac deer.

Positive experience: Church Cottage: we have had a lovely week at this well located cottage in Salthouse. The kitchen / diner was well equipped and spacious with a cosy living room. Excellent views across the marshes from the front bedroom The bedrooms were adequate although the back double was very musty despite airing it - raising this as it might be a new problem. Our biggest issue was the small bathroom as some members of the family could not use the bath. The downstairs wet room / toilet was adequate although if wet not usable as a toilet. Despite this - which we can see from the building structure cannot be changed - we had a good week.

Fantastic experience: We (my husband, myself and the dog) stayed 5 days at The Saltings. We have been visiting Blakeney for 15 years and this cottage has the best location! It is tucked away from the high street and it is so peaceful. We were lucky as none of the cottages around us were occupied. The traditional cottage has 3 bedrooms (one double, 2 twin) and a generous downstairs open plan kitchen/living room with log burner. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. The water pressure of the shower was great but older clients might have a problem climbing into the high bath tub! Our fridge wasn’t working but the Blakeney Cottage Company replaced it within a few hours on Saturday - great service!

Positive experience: Just a week in Clinker Cottage with 6 adults and 2 dogs. Location is excellent, just a short stroll to The White Horse (highly recommended) or down to the quay. The actual accommodation was a bit more mixed. Generally, I felt the fit was to a high standard, although being towards the end of the season, paintwork was looking a bit tired. The kitchen is a very good size and pretty well equipped - but strangely, no serving spoons, that we could find) - and once you realise how the cooker works, it was a pleasure. The sitting room is smaller than it appears on the website but can still sit 6 adults, although the TV is in a cupboard high up out of the way. Of the bedrooms, the main room at the front was lovely, with an enormous en-suite. The shower drains very slowly, putting you in fear of a potential flood, but otherwise great. Not so keen on the use of coat-pegs with hangers as 'quirky hanging space'. Second bedroom much like the first. Third bedroom was disappointing. It had a double bed (two singles pushed together, not separated as on website) which was too big for the room and gave little floor space. There is no storage space, just the coat-pegs-for-wardrobe arrangements, and no TV (unlike the other 2 bedrooms). This generally a lovely cottage and would be great for a week-end break for 6 adults but if it is let for longer (a week) there needs to be some provision for storage in the 3rd bedroom. A real shame that the third bedroom let down the rest

Positive experience: We had a great stay at Richmond House. It was perfectly located for our walking holiday. Blakeney is a lovely little village allowing us to easily join the coastal path for our trips to Wells and Cley. The house itself was wonderfully spacious and a truly beautiful space to spend our evenings eating good food and playing games. I'd have liked to have seen some cleaning items to wash up and keep the area clean. Also a few basic toiletries such as shower gel and shampoo would've been helpful as I tend to expect that nowadays when staying somewhere. None of our group thought to pack our own. Other than that small issue, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again.

I’m very sorry to hear that there was a shortage of cleaning products during your visit. This is not in line with our usual standards, and I will be looking into why sufficient supplies were not provided on this occasion.
With regard to toiletries, we do provide small complimentary soaps at each washbasin for guest convenience. However, as our properties are self-catering, we do not supply full toiletries. This decision is based on both environmental and practical considerations — we avoid single-use plastics for sustainability reasons, and refillable containers have unfortunately proven not to be viable due to frequent loss.

Fantastic experience: Galloway Barn at Warham was an extremely comfortable and lovely layed out barn conversion in a lovely location with other equally beautiful barns. Extremely spacious and well equipped. Very clean and a lovely welcome pack..again. It suited us perfectly, lovely dog friendly garden, one of the quietest locations we've ever stayed yet 5 minutes from Wells. Very modern fixtures and super kitchen with a wonderful island for prepping. Fabulous extra large bed in the second bedroom and lovely bedding and towels. Very comfortable sofas too. A couple of suggestions would be.... a rug for the floor in the lounge area and some hooks in the bathrooms to hang your towels. The beautiful glass sliding doors need to be checked as they don't align flush with the locks which means you have to pull them back from the frame to lock them which leaves a small gap and a draft. We found the hoover didn't work but contacted Blakeney cottages and they very promptly brought a brand new one to us. It's the second stay with Blakeney cottages this year and both have been lovely. We will definitely book again. Well done to everyone that makes the stays so seamless and comfortable. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: A lovely weeks stay in Courtyard Cottage, Friary Farm, Blakeney. Cottage is clean and cosy for two people with everything you need. The new outside picnic benches and screens are a nice addition. The cottage is part of Friary Farm caravan park and is next to the site office and workshops but there was very little disturbance from the staff during our stay. Location is very quiet and only a short stroll along the coast path to Blakeney Quay and all the amenities there. The area itself is wonderful for walking and wildlife, especially the migration of vast flocks of Pink Footed geese at this time of year.

Fantastic experience: My friends and I and our 4 dogs have just had another stay at Quay House, Cley next the sea. This house does not disappoint on any level. All bedrooms are on the ground floor all with en-suites. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely enclosed front garden. Then you go upstairs for a truly wow factor. Beautiful open plan space with lounge, dining area and a kitchen with all the facilities you need. You can sit on the sofa and look out on the balcony which has breathtaking views. Lovely table and chairs on the balcony where you can listen to the birds with the windmill on your right. This is pure luxury and we will definitely be returning for a 3rd time. This is our favourite house where we can truly relax.

Positive experience: Wagtail Cottage is small but lovely with the prime advantage being it's location, particularly having a parking space. It is very well presented, the mugs need replacing as they are quite marked but that is a minor issue. Internet is very hit and miss which was surprising as we did not have any issues at Chaffinch (a few doors away) when we stayed last year. Only 6 coathangers between 2 of us on arrival but this was sorted for us by BCC.

Positive experience: We stayed at Orchard House Blakeney in August 2025 for a 7 night family holiday to celebrate a “Big Birthday” - the house was exactly as described, lovely gardens in front and behind and good size accommodation (5 bedrooms) for our party. The house is well located opposite the church (definitely worth a tour and going up on the roof for spectacular views) and just a short, very pleasant walk down to the harbour. The only negative were the showers, particularly in 4 of the 5 bedrooms, which (from our experience) are not really fit for purpose, in terms of power, consistent flow and temperature variation. I sent constructive feedback after our stay to The Blakeney Cottage Company, but sadly no reply was received, despite sending 2 further reminders - disappointing. If you search for a local Fish & Chip shop during your stay, just a warning that “Blakeney Fish & Chip Shop” does exist….but in Wales, not Norfolk!! :- ) The 3 Star rating reflects my comments about the showers and lack of reply. I would rate the house as 5 Star

Fantastic experience: The Dolls House is snug, the perfect get away compact cottage. The space is ideal for a couple, very intimate. The interior is very English heritage with every detail well considered, very clean, well appointed and fully equiped. The location is perfect, with close walking distance to the quay, walks, shops, cafe, pubs and restaurants. The overall package created one of the most relaxing four days away we have ever had! Rather than been critical I suggest a few recommendations; the staircase is twisting, steep and requires a level of nimbleness, we were fine but we did think it could be challenging for some and should be pointed out more in the listing. The TV was small by modern standards, but it did have Netflix's which surprised us. Fantastic experience: My partner and I stayed at Kipper cottage with our black lab for a week and we had the most amazing time. Blakeney is a perfect place to be based for a Norfolk holiday, within 20-30 minutes of most beaches and towns and has so much charm in itself. The cottage was super clean, cosy and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and highly appreciated! There was plenty of space for the 3 of us and having the enclosed garden was great for the dog. The cottage had been furnished lovingly, comfy bed, sofa and everything we could need in the kitchen. We were able to enjoy evenings watching TV, while being in close proximity to everything in Blakeney for walks and pubs during the day. Don't miss out on the bakery, we were obsessed! It's also a few minutes walk to the pastures which is perfect to take the dogs. There were a couple of very slight downsides. First was that the walls are very thin. It can't be helped in these small old cottages so it really didn't bother us too much as it was only at certain times of the day, but something to note if you're expecting total peace and quiet. We also could not find any vacuum bags or any detail of where these were, along with no instructions on how to use the log burner. This was on a Sunday when the BCC office was closed so could not get in contact. We also were not notified that there would be a parking voucher available at the property, nor is it mentioned in the property manual, we just happened to find it. I believe the instructions need to be updated along with the property manual to reflect these issues. Speaking of the property manual, this was tucked away in a cupboard which we couldn't find on our first night so we slept in the cold. I just happened to look in the right one the next day and find it, it really should be left out with the welcome pack so all guests can find information straight away. Apart from being closed on Sunday, the team at BCC were really helpful, letting us add extra days to our holiday for a discounted price. They are also just up the road should you need them during your stay. Overall we had such a lovely and relaxing time and can't wait to come back, we didn't want to leave!

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely week at Avocet Cottage in Wells next the Sea. The location is superb, only 2 minutes from the quay and main Staithe St with shops and cafes, but very quiet especially at night. The only downside was lack of parking although we managed to find on street parking not too far away most days as the car parks are expensive. The cottage was small but very clean, cosy and traditional-once we had got used to the Norfolk winder stairs! The main bedroom is lovely and airy with a very comfortable bed and balcony you can sit out on. The shower is also good- hot and powerful. All in all would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: Our stay at Kelling Mill Barn was, on the whole, very nice and the location was exactly right for what we wanted and where we wanted to visit etc. The Barn was nicely decorated and clean with the upstairs lounge very comfortable with the views out over the fields. Our only complaint was the single beds in the smaller of the 2 bedrooms. The bedroom was , I think , was possibly suitable for 2 children but very small for 2 adults which was myself and my wife using this room and in laws in the double room which was ideal. We did have to contact the cottage letting company on the Saturday of our stay to advise that one of the beds had the slats under the mattress collapse and required us to try and put it back together to allow sleep overnight. This again happened to the 2nd bed early hours of Monday which we again advised on our departure.

Fantastic experience: This is a beautifully appointed, comfortable, upside down house bang in the middle of Blakeney. The upstairs is stunning with a fantastically equipped kitchen. It is the first house we’ve stayed in that provided enough saucepans, smaller serving bowls and little dishes and, a huge plus for my husband, several pint glasses! The only gripes we would have are that there is a serious shortage of wall plugs, especially in the bedrooms. When they built the house they must have seriously cut costs with the electrical. The mattresses were a bit bouncy and the nicest bedroom did not have an en suite which is a shame. But overall a really lovely place to stay and would highly recommend.

Positive experience: We had a wonderful stay – the house was perfect for the six of us plus two dogs. There was everything we needed with the most amazing views. Such a peaceful spot and lots of good pubs nearby for our evening meals. One negative point were the dining chairs that did not in any way come up to the very high standards in the rest of the property.

Fantastic experience: Waters Edge is a delightful apartment. Very modern but also very comfortable. Lovely view down to quay and across the marshes. The apartment is decorated to a high standard. Very light and airy. Everything you could possibly need was there for us to use. Welcome gift was much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely short stay in Friary Cottage which was lovely and peaceful, the goodies that were left for us was a nice surprise and much appreciated. Great walking and lovely restaurants very nearby. We didn't use the car the whole time we were there. Only suggestions are maybe some signs to point out which is your garden which was no problem in this quite time but may be useful in busier times, also pillow protectors. Very good supply of very hot water. Thank you

Positive experience: We have stayed in Sugar Plum Cottage many times and the location is perfect. It is a lovely cottage and has a secure and attractive garden which is great for our dog. We had a really great week enjoying the walks, beaches and pubs nearby that make this such a desirable destination. I do however want to raise a few points of detail, where the standard has slipped over time. For the price you charge I feel more than one loo roll should be supplied, and 5 dishwasher tablets for a stay of a week is irritatingly insufficient. I know it’s self catering but at this level you shouldn’t have to buy dishwasher tablets (any more than washing up liquid or cloths - all of which are supplied.) The kettle lid doesn’t fit properly and falls off when you pour unless you’re extremely careful. This is dangerous and needs sorting. There’s also a random fridge shelf insert sitting on top of the microwave which looks untidy. As regards the management company, the deposit issue which was sprung on us was sorted satisfactorily. The directions to the cottage need updating - no problem to us, but for new visitors being told to navigate via Blakeney Deli which closed a year ago isn’t helpful.

We do always strive to maintain our high standards and I am sorry to learn you you felt that standards were slipping. As you noted, Sugar Plum is self catering accommodation and for our guests convenience we leave a toilet roll in each toilet ready for guests arrival. This has been the case for several years now. Regarding the dishwasher tablets, I am sorry you were only supplied with 5 and if you had advised us we would have arranged for a further supply to be taken to the property. We are constantly monitoring property rates and always offer a competitive rate for the chosen dates, however, the constant rising costs make it very difficult to keep the prices the same year on year. We very much appreciate the feedback regarding the kettle and fridge shelf and I will be passing this on to the facilities department for their attention and action. The refundable security deposit was introduced last October in line with industry standards and we do refer to this on the property website and in most of our communications. Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Bradwell lodge in Cley-next-sea as 4 adults and 1 dog over the August bank holiday weekend. The house was absolutely immaculate, it was plenty big enough for all of us to use and enjoy. The location was perfect for walking out and exploring, we enjoyed the pathway walks down to the beach and easy access to the other costal areas using the very reliable bus service. The customer service at the two local pubs in the village was outstanding! Extremely friendly and welcoming. I very much look forward to visiting the area again and wouldn’t hesitate to book Bradwell Lodge using Blakeney Cottages for my future stay.

Fantastic experience: We had a very enjoyable stay at Barn House. The house was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. The situation too was perfect as it was easy to walk into Blakeney and to enjoy all the walks across the marshes. Beautiful views and easy access to the coast road for further visits on the Norfolk coast. Our only ‘hitch’ was that we had issues with the dishwasher as it frequently didn’t wash very well. This was an annual ‘residential reunion’ of 1970’s college friends- so successful we would like to return next year.

Positive experience: We’ve been in Courtyard Cottage several times. We very much like the new set-up in the space in front of the cottages; the tables and planters are attractive. The new furniture in the lounge is also attractive. We had an excellent week, revisiting our favourite sections of the coastal path, local villages, the Blakeney Point seal trip, Cley bird reserve etc. The weather was superb. Favourite restaurants were the Moorings and the Three Swallows. The cottage itself is very comfortable. The staircase remains a problem however.My wife tripped on the staircase on the last morning and left Blakeney with a black eye. Considering that you get most things right in the cottage it’s amazing that you get some little things wrong e,g. You need more cutlery, knives that can actually cut things, salt and pepper. My biggest concern is the enormous annual price increase. Not sure how you can justify that.

Positive experience: We have stayed in Blakeney twice before and have had a perfect stay but unfortunately The Quarterdeck was not up to the same standard as our previous accommodations in the Guildhall opposite. It is very spacious and has a wow factor because of the high ceiling and beautiful beams but we felt that it needed some renovation/redecoration. The carpets and furniture would benefit from cleaning. There were problems with both bathrooms which we reported and had a quick response from the company. I’m sorry to say it fell below what we expected. Nevertheless we had a great holiday in beautiful Blakeney and surrounding areas.

Fantastic experience: We were a group of 8 adults over 60 ... We stayed in Rectory Hill Cottage .. It was a Beautiful Modern House. Large Patio Area ideal for gathering for drinks & Food. The house was extremely well equipped , Clean , & spacious .. Really comfortable beds with lovely bedding Access to many of the areas attractions.. A 15 min drive to the Broads .. I cannot recommend this property enough . Dog Friendly.. Can't wait to return.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely break at Beehive Cottage.The accommodation was well appointed and very well equipped. We loved the location- near the quay at Morston and yet so quiet. We walked from Morston to Blakeney in the sun . Disappointed to see that the deli in Blakeney had closed so decided to eat at The Anchor back in Morston. Superb food on both evenings. Their chef is excellent and produced food as good as our local award winning gastro pub in Woodbridge. Thank you to Hannah for making us feel so welcome. See you again !

Fantastic experience: Housemartin, Blakeney. Stay one week Sat 30th August. The cottage is in an excellent location, walking distance to the lovely village and harbour. The home itself is very comfortable, clean and spacious, the kitchen is extremely well stocked. We very much enjoyed the garden space and sitting out area with good quality furniture. Fantastic experience: Summer Breeze is in a wonderful location in Cley Next The Sea with marvellous views from both bedrooms. Comfy beds and good sized bedrooms, both en suite. Note: no bath/shower mats in either bathroom which is quite often the case with rentals. Not sure why. Kitchen diner with well equipped kitchen although can opener needs replacing, which I did report so hopefully that's been replaced now. I do wish other visitors would report these things as it had obviously been like it for a really long time. Can't blame the owner or company if they don't know about it. Downstairs area very good as there were only two of us staying. Could be a bit snug with four adults milling about. We didn't use the garden as I was on crutches and would've been too precarious. However, it was nice to have the patio doors open which are off the dining area. 2 or 3 eating places within walking distance. We liked The Harnser so we ate there twice. The Dun Cow at Salthouse was also good. The sofas were decent but the tv needs attention. Hardly had any available channels and we logged into Netflix & Prime with our own accounts but it just kept buffering and stalling despite the WiFi being really good. Just to make others aware, to park, you really need to back into the lane as there is no space to turn vehicles around. No big deal but just to make others aware. There was a small car permanently parked outside no.7 but if it had been a large car this would've made it a tricky manoeuvre if you have a larger car yourself. Although on a bend, visibility of the main road is good so was quite safe to reverse. We had a light bulb out on landing and maintenance were there the next morning to sort it. The staircase wasn't too steep. Has a handrail and I managed perfectly well on crutches. The only thing we thought was poor was the actual security of the front door. It's basically just a Yale lock and the door opened with just a quarter turn of the key. Personally, I think this is completely inadequate as the door could be forced open very easily. An additional chubb lock would be much more secure. Good to have an area by front door to leave your shoes as you enter. In summary, it was a fantastic location and very comfortable hence the 5 srar rating. I'd be more than happy to book this cottage again despite the things I've mentioned which will hopefully be taken on board.

Fantastic experience: Lovely week staying at the Dingle. Beautiful home and great location just a few moments walk from the Quay. The garden was enclosed which works well for our two dogs.

Positive experience: bed very comfortable . the entrance stairs are quite steep for carrying cases up . teapot far to big for two persons . in a beautiful position with good pub and restaurants within walking distance

Fantastic experience: Kelling Mill Barn was exactly as advertised, a stunning cottage in a lovely quiet location. The upstairs living room had views over the fields and a balcony, perfect for coffee and reading. Spotlessly clean with plenty of amenities. Our only slight niggle would be that neither of us being very tall found the height of the cupboards, especially for glasses a challenge. Really enjoyed our short stay despite the weather.

Fantastic experience: Our third visit to 2 Point - perfect position for the quay and path to Morston - and the Spar! 2 car parking too. We have rented through the Blakeney Cottage Company for years and the children have crabbed off the quay and now their children (my grandchildren!) are loving it too! We have continued to rent through the BCC as we know the property will be immaculate and warm in the winter months ( we have been twice in October and once at Christmas) We have looked at competitors properties on line and AirBnB but to date BBC’s service is too good to risk a change! Positive experience: A well designed conversion at Kelling barn and to a high standard. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the property and the rental. Well equipped with lots of information on the property and surrounding area ( although some was quite out of date - 2 places recommended for dining have been sold and both menus are now quite different to those in the pack). Very comfortable bed, quality bedding and towels and the mezzanine lounge with its balcony was a nice feature. The shrubbery needs cutting back to better enable the view. I feel safety mats for both showers would be a good addition. Both were very slippy. We had a large vehicle and found the access narrow due to greenery that needs cutting back and the turn around was very difficult due to concrete posts with bolts protruding one side and large lavender bush the other side so we had to back out with one of us monitoring the road traffic. Disappointingly, we found a lot of dirty crockery and glasses. EG In the cupboards- mugs with old stains/residue and plastic tumblers with thick scum like residue. Previous tenants had obviously not used the dishwasher, which is a shame. Greasy trays in the oven and plastic takeaway containers still showing residue in the drawer. But the bathrooms were spotless and everything was generally to a high standard. The freesat didn’t work. We reported it at 9am but the agent didn’t arrive til 4pm. This was disappointing. She confirmed what we had already told her. It was then too late to arrange for anyone to visit so we had no access to live tv for our 3 night stay. We did like the property and would recommend it. It was great for us as a couple with both a bath and a shower. But we did run out of hot water during a shower immediately after a bath.

We are delighted to learn that you found the property to be comfortable and that you would recommend it, however, it is disappointing that there were several issues that required attention. Although we include our Notes on Departure with the booking process that includes leaving all pots, pans, crockery etc clean and ready for use, unfortunately, not all guests read these and leave the items unclean. During a regular turnaround clean we don't have the time to check every cupboard, this is a job for when we deep clean properties and these are carried out regularly through the season. We would have arranged for the cleaners to return to the property if we had been made aware. I will be investigating why there was a delay in a member of the facilities team attending the TV and please accept our sincere apologies for not having the use of the TV. Positive experience: The Old Sail Shed, Blakeney. We had a 5 night stay at the Old Sail Shed. Excellent location approx 3 minute walk from the quay with designated parking opposite the entrance to the cottage in the British Legion car park. The cottage itself is a little dark due to its location behind some other cottages but this was no issue. It has a well fitted out kitchen and great facilities in the lounge including Netflix and freeview. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. It's advertised as having a small shower room on the first floor. With the greatest respect small is an understatement! If you need to sit on the loo it's somewhat difficult to complete the task due to the space. The owners have just tried to fit too much into the available space. When drying your self after showering we had to do this on the landing! Neither my wife or I are large people. Further, the shower head needs some attention as it does not stay at any chosen height and the water was either seriously hot, to the point of scalding, or freezing cold. Not good if a child was in the shower. The downstairs bathroom was a great size but I had to work out the "boost"setting for extra hot water as it seemed to run out very quickly. The instruction book for the cottage needs updating with the information on what appears to be a new boiler or hot water system. In our opinion these faults are the only things that stop us giving the Old Sail Shed a five star rating.

Positive experience: Quay View Granary has arguably the single most impressive location among The Blakeney Cottage Company offerings. Its wonderful open plan lounge looks directly down the quay giving unenviable sight of all the goings-on during the day. Despite my comments below, we have booked again for next year! Therefore, buyer beware and don't miss the chance to stay at this little gem. We did pass our comments back to the team during our stay: Provision of utensils, pots and pans was inadequate. Given the house can easily host a large dinner party, making something as simple as pasta for that party was near impossible. Knives were blunt with no useful knife sharpener - but there were 5 cheap can openers, so thats OK. Washer drier simply doesn't dry. Office sent a tradesperson out who reported the 10minute drier programme was suitably hot - sadly this is actually the cool down setting so we feel the visit ended up more performative than useful. Dishwasher is a half-sized dishwasher which for a 6 person house is pretty stingy. Wifi in (main) back bedroom if you need wifi, is appalling. response from office was 'there is little that can be done.' Yes there, is provide a suitable signal extender like we all do at home. If this doesn't work, let the owner know some investment in cabling is needed. Not difficult. For context we have booked through Blakeney Cottage Company every year for at least 6 years and tried many of their cottages. The location of Quay View Granary surpasses that of others and although facilities at say The Dingle or Clinker cottage are more in line with what you'd expect for the price point and size, this obviously hasn't stopped us booking ahead for next year. It's a great cottage, suits our needs although, with a bit of effort could be simply outstanding.

Positive experience: We stayed here recently whilst on holiday and had a lovely time. The cottage had mixed spaces, some large and some cosy. The location was great for us as there were lovely walks near the house and a quick drive could take us to lovely locations and day trips. There were one or two issues when we arrived but these were promptly rectified leaving us to enjoy our holiday.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Mossy Bottom in Salthouse for a lovely week with three generations of family. The house, on one floor, suited us perfectly. Lots of space, comfy beds, a big and very well equipped kitchen and a spacious and safe garden for the three year old to lose his paper planes in. We had no real concerns - just a maintenance note- the en-suite bathroom had an unpleasant drain smell and the shower drips all the time. Otherwise, perfect and thank you.

Fantastic experience: We loved our stay at Kingfisher Cottage. The house was beautiful and so comfortable. We’ve never stayed in a rental where the kitchen had every utensil which we needed. We love to cook and the kitchen made our trip! No wobbly blunted knives here! The double living room meant that our large party was always comfortable. The bedroom mattresses were excellent and we appreciated the quality of the linen. This felt like staying in someone’s home and not in an antiseptic paint-by-numbers bare-minimum rental. Location was perfect for our needs. We loved walking to the pub, the sauna, on the marshes, and to the beach. We are definitely planning our next trip to Kingfisher!! %!!

Fantastic experience: Cottage couldn’t be faulted. However could do with a shaver socket in at least one of the bathrooms. Also, the arrival instructions point out that there is a narrow entry way to access the property. This should be highlighted up front as entry way limits size of car that can access parking spot. It is beyond control of owners but large wisteria trunk from a different property makes gap even smaller

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely stay in Kelling Mill Barn. Very quiet, peaceful location with a short walk to the nearby stony beach. The barn is quirky and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the balcony and the small courtyard garden was great for our dog. Great location for walking and also close proximity by car to some lovely places.

It was ideal for three generations to share a family holiday and the quirkiness of the house and garden were so far removed from the sterile alternatives. Fantastic experience: We (2 adults and 2 boys, aged 10 and 13) have just returned home from a week staying at Smuggler's Rest in Blakeney, and we were all so sad to be leaving, we had the most wonderful week there. First of all, Smuggler's Rest is a beautiful home, so well appointed and given it's location in Blakeney it is also very spacious. The beds in particular were very comfortable and the little outdoor courtyard garden at the end of the loke was a lovely space to eat in the sunshine. Secondly, the service throughout from the staff at The Blakeney Cottage Company was excellent. Professional, polite and friendly at all times. Hannah in particular was very proactive in keeping me updated with progress on our getting the car park permit which the previous occupants had accidentally taken with them. Finally, Blakeney itself. It was our 6th time staying there and it is one of our favourite places to stay. How does such a little village capture your heart!? Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic experience: We stayed at 2 Point View, Blakeney August 2025. Our 5th time in fabulous Blakeney & 2nd in this great property. Well equipped, clean, comfy sofa & beds. Fabulous location . It was very hot weather both times. There is 1 fan in the front bedroom but definitely needs another in the top attic room please as son slept in lounge 2 nights as too hot. Thanks. Fantastic experience: A last minute stay at Granary Cottage was just what the doctor ordered! Very sweet cottage, minutes walk from the quay. Parking is a bit of a squeeze, but great advantage to have a parking space available. Super dog friendly too.

Positive experience: The rooms were ok but the bed was extremely soft and not supportive. The duvet covers were polyester cotton which were very hot and uncomfortable. Blackeney Cottages wouldn’t do anything about this which I found unacceptable. Polyester is basically plastic and inappropriate for the environment and for us. For the price of the cottages I expected natural material. The lady on site at Friary Cottages (and the campsite) was fantastic, but sadly she hires Blakeney Cottages to manage the accommodation.

We have forwarded on your comment regarding the bed quality to the owners for their perusal as they provide the beds. Regarding the bed linen and fabric mix, this is hotel quality linen provided by a reputable company that also supplies bedding to local high quality hotels. As the bed linen is washed at very high temperatures according to industry standards, 100% cotton would not be suitable. I did check on your booking when you contacted us regarding the fabric mix being unsuitable for you and there were no notes relating to your allergies. Please accept our sincere apologies if this information was missed at any time during the booking process. We do rely on guests letting us know us of any serious allergies and we would have advised you that we are unable to provide 100% cotton bed linen and for guests that have special requirements we do suggest it may be advisable to bring your own. As booking agents we don't have access to other sources of bed linen and we are unable keep stocks of bedding made with different fabrics. These still would require washing at very high temperatures to meet health and safety requirements. I note that my colleague did respond to your emails as soon as possible and your request to cancel some of your dates would have been a booking cancellation. We also do note in our booking terms and conditions in section 1, that should any of our guests have any allergies to advise us at the time of booking. I am so sorry if your stay was spoilt by the bed linen provided. If you decide to return to Norfolk please do give us a call so we can provide guidance with your booking and answer any queries regarding previous feedback on bed quality and what bed linen we can provide. Fantastic experience: We stayed for the 11th time in 13 years as an extended family group. We are only ceasing because the grandchildren are old enough to want to go their own way. They all absolutely love the house and will have wonderful memories. The location is ideal and the house spacious and well equipped. It is probably due a refresh in some respects because it is so popular and well used. But don’t be put off it is well looked after and does the job very well!

Fantastic experience: a high quality house with 5 rooms each having double beds. and 3 bathrooms (one is en suite) with ground floor toilet. on the ground floor there is a living room with TV and the kitchen has plenty of space including dining table, breakfast bar and a second area for relaxing wit another tv , books and games. tvs are linked to the internet via BT. cutlery, plates, cups, mugs and cooking equipment plentiful. in addition glassware includes plenty of wine glasses , tumblers in a well stocked kitchen for cooking ware. this house has parking for 2 cars at the rear of the property. we really enjoyed the accommodation especially as its proximity to Sherrington town was in walking distance. as such we recommend this house as an excellent holiday let.

Fantastic experience: Driftwood very nice cottage, plenty of space for two. Ideally located with parking behind Spar and very close to the boats etc. Pretty much has all you need for a great holiday, but it has to be said, the bathroom is out of date and needs updating with a shower. Also should mention that the stairs are very steep and not for the elderly we think. However, we enjoyed out stay and would recommend

Fantastic experience: Quay House is a very special holiday home in beautiful Cley. We had a super week enjoying breakfasts on the balconies, walks across the marshes, bird watching, pre-dinner drinks and Uno at the George and cooking in the very well equipped kitchen.
