Fantastic experience: Reays provided an amazing transport service that really made our remote location wedding special. They provided 2 x 16 seaters at short notice that far exceeded our expectations and helped get our tired guests home at the end of the late night. The arrangements at the end of the day were a little ad-hoc but the drivers were very accommodating and patient and got everyone home. Thank you, for being such an important part of our celebration!

Fantastic experience: Used this company to take a group to Chester Zoo. First they were able to find us a bus at short notice - top marks. Then the bus itself was excellent - really good condition and comfy seats. Then the driver - Ryan - what an excellent chap! Kept us entertained all the way there and back - really friendly and helpful with everybody. Finally the office so helpful in finding item left behind on the bus. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, helpful people with a great fleet of buses.

Negative experience: Failed to reach our destination, lied to us about alternative transport, refused to offer a refund even though they failed to fulfill the promised journey. 14 hours wasted on an obviously futile journey just because they didn't want to refund anyone for the trip. I will never use this company again and would advise anyone looking to book a journey with them to try an alternative

Fantastic experience: We used Reays coaches for a hen and stag party in the Lake district and I was nervous after reading some of the reviews but they couldnt be further from the truth for us. Fantastic experience: Fantastic customer service. My daughter mislaid her passport and purse when coming back from a school trip on one of the company’s coaches. Spoke to Abbey in the office who immediately arranged to search the coach. The passport and purse were located thanks to her willingness to help. Couldn’t have wanted a more helpful attitude. It’s not very often that companies demonstrate such a personal approach to their customers.

Fantastic experience: I've recently returned from another fab holiday in Northern Ireland. We had Alan as our driver whose knowledge professionalism and care is second to none. Our hotel The Stormont and all our excursions were brilliant. I can't wait for my next holiday with Reays.

Negative experience: Very aggressive bus driver whose driving left me feeling very uncomfortable

Negative experience: Changed the price of the bus 2 week before we were due to set off by £200. Lying through their teeth replying to reviews saying they’re not genuine and completely disregarding them. Take the criticism and sort your company out

Negative experience: Totally messed up the transport for my Daughters wedding, forgot pick ups, turned up late, absolutely disgusting service. UPDATE TO REAYS. This is INDEED a genuine review and I have the email conversation between ourselves. Im giving you ONE star, because I cant give ZERO.

Negative experience: My experience of this bus travel service was far from good. The driver was extremely cocky and unpleasant from the start, basically shouting at us about food, drink and smoking, before we even got on the bus. I wasn’t even allowed to eat my packet of crisps, which is very ridiculous as I was really hungry. Fair enough if it was a polite reminder, but in this situation I felt as though I was being screamed at by my old head teacher. So, I decided to take action and sit at the back of the bus to monitor everyone’s behaviour and keep everybody in check (I did a fantastic job). Not once did I see anybody smoke or vape as we were all so scared of the lady driving the bus, however on a spooky dark road, the bus came to an immediate holt, and we were all very confused as to why. The bus driver accused us for vaping and said she wasn’t going to move the bus, however no one had vaped or smoked on the bus, so she had no choice but to continue the journey. The bus continued and we all got back to Whitehaven safely, but mentally traumatised. We are now banned from using the bus service for no reason at all.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t let me eat on the bus but let everyone else eat on the bus, absolutely fuming.

Fantastic experience: Great coach tour ! Recently went to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone with Reays. Driver Matthew was very professional and friendly, and kept us informed. Hotel was great and I had a very enjoyable weekend. Free and secure parking at Wigton depot suited my plans.

Negative experience: So, after settling outstanding debt they kicked my child off a bus 30+ miles from home. Yes AFTER settling the FULL amount for a service seldom used (yes my bad it was late but ultimately I did settle the outstanding amount after agreeing to do so the following day, so internal communication with their drivers is awesome too!). To be fair they then decided to wait for her after I called them and kicked off, did I mention they accidentally left the phone off the hook after the above call? allowing me to hear their back office mock and laugh at my stranded child and my upset?! If I could I'd publish the recording here for your amusement! That's perhaps one for the press! Sickening :-( Needless to say she didn't take them up on the waiting return journey. Oh and then they refused to discount my final payment regardless of the above... Absolutely shocking! AVOID! TO clarify the below robotic response. Cancelled in may? Ah that explains why I've just paid for June too. Beware people... These guys are not very nice people.

Fantastic experience: Our Daughter has just been school trip to London with Reays and Their driver Steve, was a legend! The kids thought he was great. Made the long journeys pleasant and fun.

Negative experience: Was a customer of this company for over 7 years using their school bus service for my son who attends Keswick School. Despite recent price increases I had supported the company understanding they had a business to run. They charge for a full year despite Year 13’s finishing early on study leave in May. Today I was contacted by a mouthy upstart threatening debt collection over £2.75. This despite me having numerous emails from someone, who had the good sense to leave this company, detailing what my payments were. It appears the issue was down to them changing their accounts and making a mistake, yet I am threatened with debt collection. A quick check will show you their reputation is going downhill rapidly. Avoid this company at all costs and expect no loyalty in return

Negative experience: AVOID! Very aggressive company. Read the small print in any contract you sign. They are ruthless and not customer-oriented.

Negative experience: Your female driver needs to learn to drive. Short blonde hair, should maybe take the shades off, in Edinburgh the afternoon if the 21/5/22, in charge of a 19 plate vehicle. Driving was atrocious and nearly caused an accident on a roundabout, clearly not knowing who has right if way.

Negative experience: School bus is never on time for the kids in the mornings, as its always breaking down, there's been a few times my kids haven't been able to get to school because of it

Fantastic experience: Great and polite drivers driving safely safely making sure the passengers are comfortable

Negative experience: BE AWARE!!! This company enter into a contract with you with a price that seems very fair but written into the terms and conditions it mentions surcharges and 7 days before the WILL put the price up! Luckily I had emailed the company before this date so I still have time to try to organise some other travel. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK! They explained to me about current situation with fuel but had no sympathy what so ever that we would never be able to afford the new price. I completely understand that at the minute the fuel price has risen to a a place that no one could have predicted but on discussing this with the company and even giving them over 2 month's notice they had no interest in ever returning my deposit. A win win for this company as they will make a profit either way. Take your business elsewhere people!

Negative experience: Driver just completely ignored me at the bus stop in Morton. Onl 1 star as it won’t let me post a zero. A public service that ignores the public not the first time either.

Negative experience: I would never recommend Reays Coaches to anyone !!! after that nightmare at weekend which we never got to York for the Christmas Market went to Harrowgate which i didn't even want to go there in the first place we got at Harrowgate at 2pm in the afternoon which the shops shut at 4pm with being Sunday just to spend a few hours in wetherspoons joke

Fantastic experience: Hired a coach for our wedding party, from initial call for quote, which was the most competitive too, we were booked for 16 seater executive. On day of event got a call from Karl, seeing as it was only a party of 10, we were being upgraded FOC to VIP 10 seater one, was really comfortable and spacious too, all the passengers were really impressed. The office staff at time of booking were excellent, the driver on the day Matt was really professional, nothing was too much trouble for him. Would recommend the company to people, and definitely use Reays in future.

Fantastic experience: My daughter booked Reay’s for a festival trip to Leeds. After her phone crashed she lost all her tickets etc. The driver Geoff was fantastic, he took time to reassure her and her friends, he gave me a contact number so I could keep in touch and he waited with them until I could sort a replacement and drive over to meet them. Geoff went over and above to make sure the girls weekend wasn’t ruined, he is an absolute credit to the company. I will definitely use again and recommend to my friends.

Negative experience: Driver has no regard for the Irish law and unlawfully parked up at a designated bus stop which is drop on/off only. His parking prevented all the buses from pulling up. Bad reflection on this company and should have checked this! Laughed in my face when I pointed this out.

Negative experience: Would never use this company having witnessed a driver in york place in Edinburgh at 18.10 on Saturday 8th August give abusive hand gestures to a local bus driver,all because this idiot parked in a local bus stop which is illegal for coaches to use driver was early 30s,over weigh with short dark hair,absolutely disgusting behaviour from a so called professional....

Fantastic experience: First time we have used Reays coaches for a trip and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend them. From being picked up to dropped off, it was an easy and organised trip. Fantastic experience: My friend and I went to the ABBA tribute event last weekend and it was fantastic . Ok there were only two in the tribute band but they were great and had the whole room singing and dancing from start to finish. Hotel was lovely , driver very efficient and friendly and a very well organised weekend overall. Thank you

Positive experience: Just returned from a tour to the Rhineland. Clean coach, with several comfort breaks along the way. We could have however, done with one of the breaks each way , being a minimum of 45 minutes, to allow plenty of time to exercise and stretch. Great to have Garry with us throughout, couldn't want for a more friendly driver.

Fantastic experience: have used the shuttle from Seascale. Inadvertently left my smart phone on a mini bus. Raeys found it, and called me to collect it. Great service, thank you ! :-)

Fantastic experience: Highfield Community Association have used Reays coaches for at least ten years, we have had excellent drivers on all but two trips. this firm should pride itself on efficiency, punctuality and comfort. We ran a trip to Beamish open air museum on Saturday 18th August and were lucky to have Leam driving for us, he was grate with the children answering questions about the coach, he greeted all the party onto the coach and bade them a good night as they got off to go home. I would recommend Reays coaches to anyone planning a trip.

Negative experience: Couldn’t run a bath

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from a coach trip to the Irish Republic where Reays supplied the coach and driver. The driver (Andy) was absolutely first class and the perfect driver to have on a tour. With regard to the coach it was spotless, extremely comfortable and had every facility we needed. I would highly recommend them.
