Positive experience: Initially contacted pretty quickly for a quote. Had a few queries about it and it took a while for a response. After a while and a few chasers they eventually got back with a very competitive quote. That's us booked. Will update the review once we get away. Happy enough with the follow ups so far.
Negative experience: Thoroughly disappointed, We (group of 8) had originally booked to go to Mar Menor with Golf Holidays Direct based on the information from their web site which states “If you are looking for an unforgettable holiday in a heavenly setting, you will find it at Ona Mar Menor, a 5-star hotel in Torre Pacheco, Murcia, which offers you an exceptional experience and all the amenities you expect from a luxury resort. One of the most outstanding features of Ona Mar Menor is its wide variety of accommodations. Whether you prefer a spacious room or a furnished apartment with up to 3 bedrooms, this resort has the perfect option for you and your travel companions. The rooms and apartments are elegantly decorated and equipped with all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay”. We had booked accommodation in 2 bedroom apartments for the group on a B & B basis, the golf tee off times were confirmed as 13.30 on 10th, 11.00 on the 11th and 11.00 on the 12th all complete with transfers to and from the airport and the golf courses The Mar Menor resort also offered a number of different dining venues around the resort. On 8th October 2 days before the trip we were advised by Golf Holidays Direct that the whole agenda had been changed, our accommodation had also been switched including revised tee off times. Golf Holidays Direct moved the group to the sister hotel which was effectively in the middle of nowhere and a taxi to town was an extortionate cost leaving us with little scope for evening meals etc. the tee off times had also changed leaving us to tee off at 15.48pm which meant that playing a full round at Saurines could not be played due to daylight. (only 16 holes played) The course at Hacienda should not have been open as the condition of the course is the worst we have ever seen with completely bare fairways and rock-hard ground, also the back nine was closed due to irrigation issues so it meant playing the front 9 twice (not really acceptable) We (the group) changed the golf venue on the 12th (due to late tee off time) however transfers were still included however to receive notice on the 12th that transfers were not available and that we would need to sort out ourselves left us a very frustrated with Golf Holidays Direct considering all the issues previously encountered. We (the group) appreciate that we could have cancelled the trip however with such short notice this was not an option as flights, parking had already been booked with no means of recompense. Golf Holidays have not offered any explanation as to why this happened. We have been going to Spain as a group for the past 12 years using different tour operators and have never encountered anything like this previously and feel thoroughly disappointed and let down with the service given by Golf Holidays Direct. All of the changes deferred what would have been an enjoyable experience which we all look forward to each year. Contact has been made with Golf Holidays Direct however they have failed to fully answer our concerns with the service received and an explanation for the changes. We have been offered £200 off our next trip We will not be booking with Golf Holidays Direct again
Fantastic experience: Great service super quick and everything I required
Negative experience: Recently booked this break to La Cala over 4 months ago to find that the golf clubs we hired through golfholidays direct had not been booked. We dealt with a supposed sales director who would not return any of our calls. Eventually they reimbursed our money which allowed us to book elsewhere. The communication with this company is impossible. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE GRIEF AND JUST BOOK ELSEWHERE !!
Negative experience: MD of golf holidays direct threatens legal action for bad reviews Your reply you have put the blame on to the courses "Regarding the issue with buggies, we understand how critical this was to your rounds. We are addressing this matter internally and with the courses involved to prevent such occurrences going forward." This statement is not correct, I recieve a statement from the course the buggies were booked however you had not passed our payment to them, this was the experience of other groups and the statement from the course is a regular occurance they only experience from golf holidays direct. Sending threatening legal action to the party organiser for not removing reviews late on a Saturday evening is not helpful. We are more than willing to pursue the matter legally and the next review I can share links to the go fund me page, fb, Instagram and LinkedIn to assist others who have also experienced similar issues Date of experience: 12 October 202 Michael Hall 3 reviews Rated 1 out of 5 stars A day ago Payments taken and not passed on to golf courses 1. No communication 2. Didn't pass payments on to golf courses but took groups money 3. Offered no help or assistance to resolve 4. Booked members of our group separate tee times due to last minute payments 5. We added people to our group booking and they took payment but they didn't do any room or golf bookings, which we managed to resolve just before travelling We arrived and although the booking was for 14 golfers, which they took the money for the booked tee times for 10, then 2 more 2 hours later, then the last 2 another 2 hours after, the course said this was due to them paying only for the first 10. This company replied stating it was because we added 4, we did, but this was several months before and they had taken payments. We then had no buggies for 2 out of the 3 rounds. Both course confirmed they were booked but after repeated requests golf direct hadnt paid the money we had given them. This was also the case for other groups that were at the course and hotel. The staff at the course said this was a regular occurance with this company. They have offered the group vouchers to use with them again, none of our 14 member group or groups we spoke with wanted them and we couldn't find anyone who wished to use golf holidays direct again Date of experience: 06 October 2024
Negative experience: Dreadful and I would not use again. Booked a few days away and to be honest it did not go well. Buggies were paid and booked. but for some reason they were not paid by the operator. After speaking to the course the lady in the shop said it’s not us this happens all the time? It then went from bad to worse, some of the party were not able to play day two due to the extreme walk the day before. As for their aftersales and complaints be wary it’s extremely poor and there MD made us an offer of compensation and then 3 hours later sent an email telling us to speak to his solicitors. I’ve done multiple trips to Portugal and this is by far the worst by far and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Negative experience: Would give less than 1 star if possible. Our host who booked our friends 50th golf trip has had nothing but problems with these cowboys stay away do not waste your time and money.
Fantastic experience: Great trip to Portugal organised bay Alex went smooth as possible ,only thing was we were meant to be in 2 bed apt but they put us in 2 separate apts but that was down to hotel ,already looking to book again for next year cheers Alex for sorting us out

Fantastic experience: Alex Thomas booked us some transfers for a recent trip to Spain, and it was a smooth sailing process from start to finish. The transfer company were brilliant. I let Alex book it all and his communication was amazing keeping me up to date at every point. 5 stars to you Alex and I will definitely be using your service again.
Negative experience: Complete amateurs and a terrible experience! I had so many issues with Golf Holidays Direct. Once they have your money they stop communicating! You will end up wasting so much of your own time resolving their mistakes! Go somewhere else if you want hassle free golf holidays. Very inexperienced and incapable sales agents with the worst customer services I have had to deal with! I booked a trip to Belek for 8 people in July 2024 for travel in September 2024. Paid for the trip in full. Our quotes included flights with checked in luggage with Easyjet. When flight details were sent to me this was not included. I had to spend so much of my time to prove this was what was agreed. After a lot of emails exchanges with their customer services this was resolved. All they had to do was check with their sales staff what was agreed. I was made to prove that they had made an error and not me! Golf courses were booked on incorrect days! One of our golf course/tee time was booked for when we should be at the airport on our way home! They had booked our flights so should have known even though I had specified all the days we were playing golf. Very incompetent sales agents in my opinion. We had requested early tee times for all our golf and the sales agent had assured us these were secured for us by their ground handling team. None of this was requested by Golf Holidays Direct. They promise a lot and deliver nothing. A few weeks after confirming the trip and having paid for it in full, I had an email from them asking to pay an outstanding balance of £624. They insisted I owed this amount. Again, I was made to prove that they had made an error and not me! Is this how they treat all their customers? Three weeks before our trip, I noticed on our online itinerary that they had changed one of the courses without informing us. We had booked a premium course and they replaced it with an average rated course. I called them and told them this was not acceptable and why no one had called us to tell us. Their customer service manager and senior sales manager promised to book us a replacement course which was similar but again just promises and no communication at all. I chased them for 3 weeks to book a replacement course and they did nothing. They did not respond to my emails and even refused to take my calls. I had to hide my caller ID to make calls to them! One of their senior sales manager said he would call me in 90 mins with a ‘definite solution’ – I am back from my trip and he still has not called. They cheated us as this is not what we had paid for. We had to pay extra to their local ground team and got the course changed with no help from GHD. We got scammed by Golf Holidays Direct. What they promise on Sky TV in their ads is far from what I endured in my dealings with this company. I emailed GHD about all of the above on my return from Belek and was told I would hear from their customer services within 5-7 working days. I am not surprised, they haven't responded. What a shame. Avoid!!!
Fantastic experience: Golf courses were excellent. Transfer company were great as well and contacted me if there were any delays with the pick ups. Communication with Alex was easy when booking, will use again for future trips.
Positive experience: Booking our golf break for 2025 was easy however the booking when I log in to my account is not correct and despite numerous calls and emails is still not showing the correct information. I just hope that when the final balance is due I do not have problems agreeing the price, I have the original quote so hopefully all will be well. I will follow up this review after our break in June 25
Negative experience: Poor poor service, soon as they take your money they are very slow to sort issues out, messed up our transfers multiple times and still not sorted. AVOID Never had these issues with your golf travel.
Negative experience: Golf holiday in Portugal more like crazy golf at Skegness 2nd time writing a review for this company for a group of 9 who booked a golf holiday for our mates 50th to Portugal the first review we was asked by the director of golfholidaysdirect to remove the review because it was damaging to his business and they was going to look into offering some compensation. So we did give them the benefit of the doubt to try & put things right for the group after the lack of communication and service we received off them but unfortunately they are taking no responsibility for the service they offered and consequently we are all receiving £35.00 each person from the course owners themselves for the condition of the course what we new nothing about from golfholidaysdirect to give you some idea the greens were like playing on a mine field on 2 of the 4 days play which after putting our faith in golfholidaysdirect we had issue after issue even not having enough buggy’s for us all on all 4 days and having to pay for them ourselves on the day & all in all they did a shambles of a job & wanted to pass the buck & say they did what they could and did it at cost price never made a penny from the booking blah blah blah we should have kept our original booking with golfholidays.com you live & learn if you want crazy golf book with them our crazy golf handicap has certainly improved after that week !!!

Fantastic experience: I have now booked three golfing holidays for a group of golfers to Spain (Malaga) using Golf Holidays Direct! I have always dealt with a chap called Chris Coaker and everything has run like a military operation, from the booking to the actual holiday. The couriers were always on time, the hotel was 1st Class and all the Golf Courses were top notch. Everything is laid out perfectly on their "Manage Your Booking" portal, so you know what is happening and when. It is possible to converse with your agent on this portal, but I have never found the need to. I have only ever booked golfing holidays through this company and because it is so perfect, I haven't even considered trying any one else. 1st Class, Highly Recommended.

Negative experience: Used this company last year for a golf trip in July to Portugal, staying at Vale do lobo. Upon arrival they did not know who we were and were not on their system at all.(We were also playing on their 2 courses which were not on their system). After a few frantic phone calls from myself to Golf holidays direct things did get sorted out within a couple of hours and we got the golf holiday we were expecting. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked with them again for a party of 6 again to Portugal in June 2024. We chose our courses and tee times so they would work with our flights and get the most golf in for the 4 full days we were there. This was all booked and paid 11 months in advance. A couple of weeks before our departure date I gave a courtesy call just to check everything was still as original booking and was assured it was. ONLY 3 days before our flight to Portugal I received an email saying we couldn’t play on 2 of the courses as 1 (Quinta North) was closed for course maintenance and the other (Victoria old) had been closed for months for major upgrading works. And to top it off on our last day we were due to play Quinta south at 12pm as this would work perfectly for our 9pm flight home, apparently now the only tee time available was 7am in the morning, which we did play as there wasn’t an alternative. This meant up for an early checkout, no breakfast at hotel as restaurant closed at this time. The whole thing was a joke. Apparently we were going to get room upgrades as some form of compensation, our original accommodation must have been a tent each. We did manage to play golf admittedly on good courses but at nothing like original tee times booked 11 months prior. All of this did ruin our holiday as other things were planned in between the golf but couldn’t work because change of times. The worst and poorest part from Golf holidays Direct is that it has now been 3 weeks since returning and after numerous phone calls and emails to them to give feedback on this experience I have had no call back or no reply in email form. Very very poor. Next time I will happily pay more money as cheapest isn’t always the right way to go. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but they had their chance to explain things but obviously felt they don’t have to. This is a totally honest review of using this company for the last 2 years.
Negative experience: Train wreck of a golf holiday company. Wrong dates for hotel booked, wrong tee times, buggies not booked and no response to calls or emails. Absolute waste of space in this industry.
Negative experience: DO NOT USE!!! Booked 20 to go to Lisbon area of Portugal. 2 weeks prior to leaving contacted us to say chosen hotel had not been booked (despite us booking and paying 9 months previously). Put us in what they described in T&C’s as equivalent. It wasn’t!! It was an apart hotel, not the same standard and 2 miles out of town meaning taxis required on every journey! Tee times also altered to what was intially agreed! When we expressed our disapproval, met with ‘we’ll give you your money back’ knowing that wasn’t an option as 20 flights booked and paid for and 20 guys looking forward to a trip. Absolute fiasco of a company. PLEASE SAVE YOIR MONEY AND AVOID!

Positive experience: Overall the trip was amazing, there were always GHD staff available to help out and give information. One slight hitch was getting picked up from the Masters - we had to wait over an hour and ended up getting back too late to participate in the Nick Dougherty event.

Negative experience: Unimpressed of Guildford. I gave outline details of a week's Algarve for two to a lady who didn't have the info and said she would get someone to phone the next day - one week later still no reply so will go elsewhere until someone wants the business.
Negative experience: DO NOT,Book with this shower, booked golf trip with these,payed weeks in advance.Only to find that when we arrived we were not booked into are hotel in Marrakesh. With one of are party having to pay again at the reception 2 questions what if the hotel had no rooms?what if we hadn’t brought are credit cards? The hotel weren’t particularly bothered,near where the booking agent. I’ve never known anything like this,it’s ruined the 5 days,because of all the lack of communication from the agent,as it’s been the one member of are party trying to just get his credit card refunded. We had a trip booked with them for October,it’s been cancelled.
Negative experience: Enquired on April 8th - no response. Then received an email saying I'd not purchased with them, picked a package and if there were any other quotes they'd want sent to me... even though they've never responded to my enquiry? Bit of a shambles to be honest - won't be going any further with them as if this is what they're like then can't imagine what communication must be like for the actual process or if there was an emergency.
Fantastic experience: This was my first time at booking a golf holiday for a party of eight. From start to finish, golf holidays direct offer a 1stop service at booking courses, hotel and course transfers and obviously the hotel. Cannot fault golf holidays direct and will be using them again for our golf tour next year. Excellent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Negative experience: I have had nothing but trouble dealing with Conor Petit from day one for our trip to The Masters 2024. Luckily every mishap has been resolved by Alex who is great. First we had mishaps during billing and payment. Next after making all payments i got a message from Chris saying we hadn’t paid and our tickets would be cancelled. That was resolved by Alex. Finally at Columbia two of us were put in a different Hilton to the main group and got no welcome, no assistance and i had to call Alex in London to work out where to pick up the tickets.
Negative experience: Golf trip to mauritius was a disaster regarding our golf Mitch agreed and confirmed all our tee times and transfers. No tee times booked transfers to golf course poor .Shocking service.
Fantastic experience: We booked last year to Mac Puerto Hotel 3 twin rooms 4☆in Benalmadena When we arrived at the hotel (6 golfers) we were told they had cancelled it. We were then moved to Flatotel away on the other side of the resort. We were put in a 2 bed apartment. We were 20 min walk to nearest bub, this hotel was not great. 2 football teams arrived under 28 and under 16. So the pool was full of boys very noisy and fooling around. We made the best of it. When we got home , we sent in our taxi, breakfast & extra bed expenses. This was paid within day's. We the waited on an offer of compensation ! They offered us a £500 voucher between 6 of us . After trying to get advice on the matter. To which i found impossible. I then took them to the Simple Procedure court. I was seeking £3000, this was the difference between the price of hotels. After Golfholidays direct didn't turn up on video link 3 times the Judge awarded us a full decree and expenses. This was paid on the day. Not the start to a holiday anyone wants. It caused us a few arguments abd stress. So its Your Golf Holidays this year
Fantastic experience: 1st golf holiday abroad and a Fantastic company to book your golf holiday with. 5 star service from start to finish. Many thanks to Oliver for arranging our trip to Morocco. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything ran like clockwork from being picked up from the airport to the golf transfers to and from the courses by our driver Hassam who was a legend and looked after us very well. Played 3 stunning courses Al Maaden, Samannah and Assoufid all definitely worth playing while your in Morocco. Can't wait to book to go away again soon and will be ringing Oliver to sort out another holiday for us. Many thanks to you all
Negative experience: Very very poor service, asked for various quotes, quotes sent with wrong dates etc, eventually got quote but agent had to confirm a few details with the hotel, held off for a few days and constantly requested an update, agent stopped communicating and eventually went elsewhere. Pretty poor if you ask me
Fantastic experience: Having just booked my groups first golf holiday with Rhys, i cant recommend the company and rhys more. From enquiring, deciding and booking the holiday, it was a fast, easy process with really affordable prices as well. I will defiantly be using the company again for future holidays.
Fantastic experience: I have arranged our golf trips away every year and send my basic requirements to a number of Golf Travel Companies. After a couple of Days Alex gave me a call and discussed our trip and the advise and the package put together was excellent. This was followed up with a full itinerary of the trip. I have had to make a couple of tweaks to the overall trip and additional golfers etc and Alex amended quickly with no issues. Looking forward to getting to Spain in the new year and sure all will run smoothly.
Fantastic experience: I first contacted Alex Thomas in April 23 for our golf trip to the Algarve. He was extremely helpful with all my questions and our needs. The booking process was straightforward and Alex got us the courses and tee times we had requested. His hotel recommendation was spot on and he also helped us book an extra round during our stay. I found him to be very courteous and helpful and our group are already planning for our 2024 trip and will be using his services again. Thank you Alex.
Fantastic experience: We booked for a large party and required a lot of flexibility due to our jobs. Alex at golf holidays direct was fantastic and on call throughout. When we were unable to make the original date he was able to move the booking and change hotel without any changes in costs. The hotel, transport and courses were top notch and the entire party found the deal to be great value for money. We are keen to book again via Alex and GHD next year given our experience of this booking over the last 12 months.

Negative experience: Would never use them again! I used Golf Holidays Direct to book a golf trip to Portugal for a group of 12 this summer. The booking process went quite well, but the level of customer service dropped off massively once we had paid and it took a lot longer to get answers to key questions. Then once we got out to Portugal we found that there had unfortunately been lots of errors made with our booking. We played 4 rounds and the tee times for 2 of them were just completely wrong so we had to wait a long time at the courses. Then for the final round the course we were supposed to play was closed and had been for a few weeks, so again we had to change course which meant we had to play the same course 3 times. Golf holidays direct should’ve known this and put us on a different course. These companies are supposed to make the trip easy and smooth but unfortunately our experience was pretty shocking. The team did do a good job rebooking our outbound flight when it was cancelled, but all the other mistakes ruined the trip. The company then refused to offer any meaningful compensation for all the mistakes that were made - a £200 voucher was offered for a trip that cost over £6,000. When I complained about this the team at GHD just ignored me and never replied. Overall a very poor experience, and looking at other reviews it seems that our trip was not unique in this sense!

Positive experience: Booked to visit Albufeira and everything was great up until check in at the hotel, where we were told there were no transfers for us to get to the courses and that the hotel knew nothing about them (despite GHD telling us the hotel would have sorted them). We were then told to sort our own Ubers for the first three days and that we would be reimbursed. That was 2 weeks ago now and despite multiple promises of payment I still haven’t received anything. Also now struggling to get email responses. On the upside the hotel was great as were the courses.
Negative experience: Brutal service from this company, had 4 star hotel booked, arrived to be told booking cancelled months ago, stuck us in 2 star hotel 2 miles away from main resort. No amenities at all, 25 minutes walk to nearest bars and restaurants. Will never use this lot again.
Negative experience: Golf courses very good; poor customer service; starters didn't want to help. The transfers were a mess as didn't get picked at the airport again; had to arrange our own transport although we paid for it; transfer to the golf course we had to arrange this was a joke; not what we paid for not even a written apology
Fantastic experience: Melia Villatana Capatains weekend… I arranged our clubs Captains weekend for 56 Golfers, We had two tee times on each day over three days, the whole thing was sorted out meticulously from the transfers, tee times, players buggies and hotel and check-in went without a hitch. I would have no problem recommending GHD in particular Joe Howley for his patience and understanding to ensure it all run smoothly. Date of experience: 16 September 2023
Negative experience: Very poor service from start to finish. We had Alex “helping” us. Sadly we had to chase, escalate for a response every step of the way. Therefore I shouldn’t have been surprised when a) transport was over an hour late at the airport b) they forgot to book us in for our 1st round of 3 c) we had to pay for our own transport back to hotel from one round as they booked wrong time d) despite being promised a call back after lunch over a week ago, still not had anyone speak to me despite calls and emails chasing! Yes prices are good but sadly you get what you pay for!!
Negative experience: An absolute shambles from start to finish. Having had this golf trip to Villamoura booked for many months, two days prior to flying out, we were informed that the tee times booked had now been taken by somebody else throwing out our evening plans. When we finally arrived in Portugal our group were informed we would be met by our air bnb host, we arrived at our villa, unable to gain entry and were forced to get changed in the middle of the street into our golf attire. We then had to take all of our belongings, suitcases etc to the golf course.Once we got to the course, on our itinerary for the trip it’s clearly stated that we had buggies booked. Stated in black and white so no excuses!! The course said that the buggies hadn’t been booked leading us to fork out several hundred euros to book them, we had 2 rounds of golf so this shambolic act occurred twice. When we finally finished our round we were still unable to gain entry into the property as our golf holidays direct agent had GONE HOME for the evening leaving us basically stranded with nowhere to go. After finally pleading with the air bnb agent we were able to gain entry. Golf holidays direct an absolute waste of time, energy and money. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE AMATEURS
Negative experience: Don’t usually leave reviews, but it was so bad I felt I had to. Absolute shambles from start to finish including the response to our complaint. Changed our tee time two days before we left after having it booked for months ruining other plans we had. The agent didn’t relay any of the important information about the air bnb resulting in us having to change cloths on the driveway when we arrived and not actually being able to get into the villa for hours after check in, sat outside trying to get a code, while the agent had gone home for the day. Promised buggies and confirmed it in black and white on the itinerary but they were never actually included. €600 later still won’t admit they’re wrong. Made a complete mess of the transfers. Worst of all they didn’t seem to care about any of it. They may be the largest golf package company in the UK, but they are also most certainly the worst. Do not book.
Negative experience: We’ve just got back from Portugal where I was let down time and time again by this company. Changed the course 30 mins before tee time. Although we had buggies booked with a voucher to prove we had to pay both days. The next day we had no transfer to the course booked. Luckily the hotel helped us out although we got there late. We still managed to play. But had to pay for buggies again. And to top it all of Martin beat me and won the whole weekend. Too many doubles boogies! 9 Thank god for Irish bar and Cats. We all felt sorry for our lead booker, we didn’t mention it as it wasn’t his fault. Oh and it rained.
Fantastic experience: Superb service every time time we have used Golf Holidays Direct for our group bookings. From start to finish, top class advice on where to stay and always results in a great trip enjoyed by everyone. We will continue to use GHD for all future bookings!
Negative experience: Don't book with golf holidays direct. Once I had paid full amount they don't respond to phones calls or emails .gave us wrong tee times for all 3 rounds. Our flight got cancelled they got Back to Stanstead Airport instead of east midlands and we had to make our own way back to East Midlands to collect our cars.they don't reply to my emails or phone calls.there a joke don't book with golf holidays direct when instead midlands. So we had to make our own way to East midlands where our cars were left .they will not replay to any of my emails .
Negative experience: DON’T BOOK VERY POOR We booked with Golf Holidays Direct to help alleviate any problems we would have, being the first time me and my brother have booked a golf holiday. Sadly this wasn’t the case and they only made it more stressful. The communication was great until we paid our money, then it fell apart on every level possible. They even chased me on the phone for a payment I already made despite not replying to numerous emails that I was awaiting answers upon. We were told golf carts could be booked, then told they couldn’t, then told they could, then got no final definitive answer at all and ignored. We had paid for unlimited golf so access to golf carts was key to playing 2 rounds per day in the heat. We received no instructions on check in details. When we went to the course for our first round our tee time wasn’t what we were told and 3 hours later. We then asked for all the other tee times and found out none of them were what we were told had been booked, complete joke. Luckily Pestana were incredible and sorted everything for us at no extra cost. I would highly recommend the resort but book direct to avoid dealing with Golf Holidays Direct as they only create stress, charge you a premium and waste your time.
Positive experience: I have used G.H.D. to book our 2024 golf trip, our agent Aidan was very helpful indeed, nothing was to much trouble I will update the review when we have had our trip .
Positive experience: Just been on a trip to the Masters. Overall satisfied but communication very poor. Arrived at hotel and someone said hello and then disappeared! Never spoke to anyone again during the trip . The hotel was ok but seemed very understaffed! The bar closed at 9pm and did not open at all on Saturday or Sunday. A large number of golfers were at the hotel and unable to buy a drink from the bar. Other main issue was that when we picked up our tickets for the masters on the Sunday morning , we were told to say we got them off a friend of a friend if asked by security at the course. This seemed very strange after paying a lot of money to go ! The day at the masters was amazing and ran like clockwork. I have emailed GHD on two occasions but have not received a reply. Their communication overall has been poor but they are one of the cheaper companies doing the masters trip .if you book with this company be prepared to do a lot of chasing up !
Negative experience: I recently had the unfortunate experience of booking a golf holiday with GHD. First and foremost the organisation and communication was abysmal. They failed to provide us with an airport transfer as soon as we landed “make your own way to the hotel and we will TRY and reimburse taxis”! To then on the third day lying about the tee time they had given us, causing a 3 hour delay and missing the last 3 Holes as the transfer wouldn’t wait. In conclusion, my experience with GHD was extremely disappointing and offering a £10 per person refund was quite frankly an insult. I strongly advise against using this company if you want a memorable and enjoyable golf holiday. Save yourself the frustration and seek a more reputable and reliable company that values its customer satisfaction.
Negative experience: We have just been on a golfing holiday with them. Never again. The hotel we were staying in had building work, they told us it was fine. Not fine at all. The flights they had booked had been changed 2 weeks before and we found out the day before we left because we noticed there were no direct flights to turkey. We has to call them. Took us 12 hours to get to turkey. When we got to the hotel it was 5.30 in the morning. When we got up, we saw the builders all over. We should not have been sent there. We checked the transfers coming back. They were picking us up at 11 o'clock. We had to tell them the flight was at 10.30. These are the people who are ment to take the stress out of your trip. The lad who booked it for us had nothing but stress.
