You bought a flight-only from us (as advertised) which flew into Bilbao and back from Santander.
The UEFA website indicated that additional transport would be laid on for fans travelling between Bilbao, Santander and Vitoria airports. If these were not provided, that is an issue for UEFA and the local authorities
Other operators such as Easyjet, Ryanair etc, fly into these airports and did not provide transfers either.
We did not know that there would not be transfers provided as the UEFA website indicated that, in fact, there would be. We provided information to this effect on our website and post-booking but reminded all customers that we were providing a flight-only service for this event.
As you bought a flight-only from us and we provided the flight, we feel that a 1-star review is completely unjustified, particularly as we informed everybody that it is the customer's responsibility to make their own way between the airports and venue.
We provided the service that we advertised and provided it well. Your issue lies with the public transport (or lack thereof) between Bilbao and Santander.
Negative experience: Shocking lack of organisation and duty of care – avoid for major football events I booked a “day trip” flight to Bilbao with World Choice Sports for the Manchester United Europa League Final, travelling alone with my 13-year-old son. Less than 48 hours before departure, I was informed the return flight would leave from Santander (not Bilbao), at 09:50 the next morning—with no transfer provided across 60+ miles of unfamiliar terrain. We were told UEFA “might” provide coaches (they didn’t), and were misled that return flights could be as early as 3:00 am—even though Santander Airport doesn’t open until 5:00 am. With no guidance, no reps on the ground, and no public transport available, I had no choice but to book an emergency Uber (€577) and last-minute hotel (€206) just to get us home safely. Other travel providers like Sports Breaks or Sports Options had staff, buses, and proper logistics. World Choice Sports offered no support whatsoever. If you’re considering using them for major sporting events—especially with family—think twice. Their communication was poor, their planning worse, and their customer care completely absent.

Positive experience: fab service from these guys, from the beginning they helped with advice over hotel and location. Even though the rugby didn't go ahead, I have been kept informed of my refund process. Got a partial refund of worldchoice and they advised Secret Escapes would refund the deposits. I had an email of Secret last week confirming this.. Well done and keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: For a number of years this travel agency has provided us with the most perfect holiday wether it a short break or group tour of Asia for instance. They go above & beyond to ensure our criteria is met and indeed exceeded. Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience traveling to Rome to watch the 6 Nations Rugby. This a a specially chartered trip organised by Worldchoice Sports and the entire process was really smooth. Paperwork and tickets were all received promptly and it was great to have a representative (the fantastic Patrick) from Worldchoice Sports traveling with us to troubleshoot for the duration of the trip. There was an unfortunate issue at the airport (the fault of the airport and not Worldchoice Sports) and Patrick was brilliant. He kept everyone calm, dealt with the issue as promptly and professionally as possible and made it so the last memory of our trip was one of attentive, good service, rather than a delayed flight. I'd absolutely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience. I was originally worried as it feels a little ah hoc (email exchanges rather than forms) but every engagement was professional and timely. There were no issues on our trip and the information provided before travel was invaluable (e.g. the requirement for ID in Italy).

Positive experience: Paid extra money for side view tickets at the Stadio Olympico only to be given seats right down the front with a fence obstructing the view. Given cold shoulder when I asked could they possibly be exchanged. To be fair Patrick gave me a call to offer me some tickets 4 rows further back at an extra cost, which I politely turned down as I don t think 4 rows will make an awful lot of difference to be honest but many thanks for the offer.

Negative experience: Shockingly bad Ordered tickets to finals of six nations rugby in Dublin a year in advance only to get to Dublin and be told on the day of the match that they changed computer system the day I ordered via the travel agent and they didnt have my tickets.. No apology just a refund, no compensation for completely ruining our weekend. No effort to find new tickets Never again!
Fantastic experience: From start to finish, our trip to Paris was superbly organised by Worldchoice Sports. The hotel was lovely with very friendly staff and great location for Metro access. The football experience at PSG was faultless with fantastic seats and I would highly recommend Worldchoice Sports. We'll definitely be planning another trip soon!

Negative experience: One of the worst companies to deal with. Took out an offer with Wowcher for London and a West End show. There was a list of hotels to choose from so looked at them, spoke to the hotels about parking provisions in relation to availability. I took the offer with World Choice Sports and straight away informed me I could not have my choice in hotel and had to choose from another list of hotels. They don’t factor in I am disabled and need a space in a room and close parking as well as a twin room, instead I am offered a double room with hotels that don’t have parking. I am going round in circles and then they wish me to upgrade tickets for the theatre to sit in the stalls. Apparently they only offer seats in the circles. Total inefficiency in factoring essentials and constantly trying to get me to take a lower hotel which is miles from where I wish to be. This company is a shambles and not tailored to the client. Really how can a hotel be full with them, but I can book direct for the same dates? Could it be down to profits not being as lucrative hence for making up such rubbish about the hotels? Or back handlers in commissions. Saying that they use an additional 3rd party to book hotels with. Keep well clear and avoid.

Negative experience: We decided to book to go see F1 at Silverstone and we booked it through Hays Travel who booked through World Choice Sports. The event was great, however our seats were separated, 2 of us were sat in one stand and 2 of us in another. We all booked together as a 4, we don’t expect to be separated. When we got to our seats and there was no physical seat there. Customer services at Silverstone told us we should have been emailed new tickets which we never received. We were very disappointed as we missed a part of the parade we wanted to see. After talking to World Choice Sports they only apologised but felt like it wasn’t a sincere apology more like a ‘sorry but it’s not our fault’. World Choice Sports claim they never received an email which I do not believe as the organisers proved to us the email had been sent. Will not be booking through them again and will be booking it all myself.

We feel that this is an unfair and undeserved review for something which is completely out of our hands. The first that we knew of this problem was when you reported it after the race had finished so were unable to do anything about it in the first place.

Negative experience: Terrible company false advertising mind so be careful with these had on there site stated train times for Wembley down and back totally wrong as got ticket said totally different nice one as if times arent hard enough waste of 145
Our initial train times were based on the information we had at the time and have not changed from the original times.
We received notification of the confirmed schedule from the operator and published them immediately on our website.

Negative experience: The worst company ! Booked a one night trip with a show which I now can’t attend due to personal health reasons. Obtained a medical exemption note and as per living social they stated ‘ contact the company because they could rearrange your booking as a gesture of goodwill ‘ Didn’t even begin to listen to the situation just fobbed us off that it’s non refundable. We would have been happy with an alternative date even but didn’t want to listen . So now down £300 because I can’t transfer into someone else’s name , transfer the date or even obtain a partial refund . Absolutely furious but more upset than anything because no attempt was made to even try to help us . Avoid at all costs

Sorry that you feel this way but as per the terms and conditions of this booking, it is non refundable and non-amendable. This is down to our hotel & ticket suppliers, not us.
You were made aware of this in our email to you on 12/10/2022 and responded later in that same day indicating your hotel choice. We then confirmed your booking according to your directions.
This is compounded by the fact that you gave us less than two weeks notice prior to travel of your wish to change.
Contary to your assertations, we did try to help you but there is a limit to what we can do particularly as we gave you notice prior to booking that this was non-amendable and non-refundable.
We are still happy to offer you a cancellation invoice for your travel insurance policy.
We cannot speak for the voucher-issuers as they are a separate entity, nor can they speak for us.
The one-star review is an unfair misrepresenation of the service you have received from our staff

Fantastic experience: My son and I have just returned from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and having read reviews I was somewhat wary. A couple of issues re getting information re hotel & flights compounded this. Happily any fears were unfounded. Everything on the trip was excellent. Travel between Dubai airport and Abu Dhabi was seamless. The hotel was excellent quality and situated minutes from the motorway, making transport to the track very easy, taxis at hotel virtually on tap. Sears at the track excellent, absolutely no issues there. If we are ever able to afford another sporting trip, I would have no hesitation using Worldchoice again.

Negative experience: My husband and son booked two day returns for the Champions League Final when they came up in the ballot for tickets. All paid for and confirmed for the 4am departure today. At JLA Airport they were told by the Airport Manager they would not be flying out, their flight did not exist. Words cannot express my disappointment for them and my disgust at Worldchoice Sports this morning. No communication and phone is off the hook, disgrace. Not to be trusted imo.
Negative experience: Once again booked with these cowboys to arrive at the airport only for them to cancel the flight to Champions League Final. Utter thieves….they’ve left hundreds of fans stranded once again with no way of getting to the final. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Negative experience: Turned up at the airport at 2am to find out our flight has been re arranged. No communication from Worldchoice. Hundreds of Liverpool fans in same situation. Haven't even bothered to send a rep to explain the situation. Terrible service considering the price we have paid.

Negative experience: Shambolic!! Booked charter flight to Lisbon for 2 people only for it to be cancelled 4 days before trip. Offered alternative flights that also then became unavailable. Offered another alternative but several hours later, after receiving no confirmation of the booking, and having frankly lost all confidence in the company, I took matters into my own hands and sorted myself out. Phoned company to tell them I'd sorted myself out only for them to tell me they had actually booked me on, with no confirmation, and that they would hold me to the £850 cost!!! Unbelievable! They have now agreed to refund £800 of it but are still trying to charge me a £50 cancellation fee. For their incompetence!! Absolutely unreal! Do not go anywhere near this disgrace of a company.

Fantastic experience: We were booked to go to Rome as a package in March 2020. Obviously, that failed to go-ahead due to Covid-19 I thought Worldchoice Sports did everything that could in the circumstances to make the process of refunding the money as painless as possible. Yes, it did take a while but they kept us informed, especially when we asked. In my view, you find out more a company when things go wrong and how they react. Suffice to say, I will definitely look to book again and have no hesitation in recommending.

Positive experience: Through Worldchoice Sports we had booked Italy V England rugby match for March 2020. With the Covid-19 situation this was postponed and once it became official that refunds were due, we had an excellent response and the majority of our money was returned. The final part was sorted, once the Italian federation had completed their side. Overall, at these difficult times we feel that Worldchoice have responded in a swift and fair way.

Negative experience: I am really disappointed that WCS continue to drag their feet……they have not yet provided me with a full refund for a trip which was cancelled back in March due to COVID-19. They have now stopped responding to my e-mails, probably because they cannot continue to make the excuse that they are unable to get into the office to make payment - All I can say is “don’t trust them!”
We are sorry to hear this and we know that there were delays to refunds. For these delays we can only apologise. Sadly this was across the board in the travel industry and was due to exceptional circumstances completely beyond our control.
Negative experience: Along with many others we have received poor service and response regarding a refund for the cancelled 6 nations match in Rome. When this was cancelled in March, Worldchoice Sports used the excuse that as they were not in the office they would not be able to issue any refunds - but they did ask for the tickets to be returned to them. Since then it has been a constant stream of excuses as to why they will not refund the full amount - even though they issued a full invoice which clearly states £500 deposit received! As many have found - they are refusing to repay the £500 deposit that we had paid to Secret Escapes. We contacted Secret Escapes and they have been extremely helpful in trying to resolve this but as the deposit money has been paid by them to Worldchoice Sports the contract to refund is with Worldchoice Sports. By this point we were into July - 5 months down the line, and Worldchoice Sports offer us a refund credit note with a 20% increase in value of the note if we accept it or a refund of our holiday - less the £500 deposit and £100 for match tickets - therefore £768 and not the full £1398. Looking at the ABTA website there is clear guidance that any refund credit note must be for the exact amount that is owed as refund - which leads me to believe this was a cynical move to avoid repayment. When we contacted Worldchoice Sports with this information we received a curt one liner reply that 'their MD had agreed with Secret Escapes MD on the repayment' - so we contacted the Secret Escapes MD of European Operations and he replied that we are not the only ones being told this and that the deposit monies had been paid on to Worldchoice Sports and therefore they are contractually bound to process the full refund. After a further email to Worldchoice Sports on the 28th July we have heard nothing back at all as of 14th August 2020 other than an automated email response. If i could give 0 stars i would - i will never ever consider using this company any time in the future and any travel company that is run by the same person.

Negative experience: As others have stated - I purchased a package over a year ago for the six Nations at a cost close to a £1000. The game has been cancelled for around 3 months yet they are still refusing to issue a refund. A prompt refund would have made me more than happy to rebook with the company but not now.

Negative experience: Purchased a 6 Nations package which was later on postponed at no fault of their own due to Covid19. However, confirmation that if customers who wanted a refund would need to send back the tickets, special delivery but no financial cover for the cost of delivery! Having completed a number of tasks for the purpose of administering refunds, I am still til this day awaiting just under £1k. In an age where technology drives remote working and online banking, there is no excuse for poor customer service and failing to refund customers in a timely fashion.
Fantastic experience: My friends and I used Worldchoice Sports did a trip to the Milan derby and we couldn’t be happier with how it went. Everything from the communication to getting the tickets and hotel to the match itself was perfect. Second time we’ve used them and we wouldn’t use anyone else!

Fantastic experience: Great weekend. Just come back from 6 nations. Went as a largish group of couples - nice 4* hotel in the centre. Decent goal end tickets. The staff at worldchoice were keyed up and had good knowledge of the product and of Rome in General. Will book with these again. Also helped that Ireland won!

Negative experience: As soon as I bought a deal from living social for Ireland v Italy in Rome and accomodation I realized it didn’t include flights and I asked for a refund straight away. I know it was my own mistake but the money had just left my account and I thought I would be able to get it back. I was told they couldn’t refund me or give me credit but I could try to put someone else’s name down so when I found someone to buy the tickets and accomodation I was then told it was too late to do the name change. From the start I explained it was going to go to waste and I couldn’t use it but I was met with rude unhelpful customer service. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Negative experience: Wouldn't even bother using this company. Add 20 percent on to anything they do and it's literally for picking a hotel and flights which you could do at home and save all that money. Extra 250 quid for booking a flight and a hotel? Takes two minutes to do it at home. Don't waste your breath.
Negative experience: me and my son badly let doen by yhis company regarding champions league final absolutely devastated ! first one ive missed !!however after calming down and speaking to the office staff it became clear wasnt all their fault ! THEY HAVE UPSET 1000 people and have gained absolutely nothing but a reputation left in tatters !!! received my refund today !!! sports options every time from now on !! feel for the office staff taking all the abuse !!
Negative experience: I'm another one let down with the Kiev flights. It was the lack of communication that was the real issue. I've lots of questions, but no answers.
Negative experience: I'm sure there is going to be more negative postings. Over 1,000 fans missed Champions League Final 2018. FOUR cancelled flights - destroyed legimate fans dream of going to Kiev. Thank you for your support and late confirmation of these cancelled flights, hopefullyyou will not recover and go out of business. You should do the right thing and close the business and have some self respect. If only you advised customers earlier people could of made altenative arrangements.
Negative experience: Booked on the Monaco 2017 trip: Leaving the flight was an hour late, The hot breakfast was a sandwich served off a cardboard box - no hot drinks available, The bus driver got lost and did several U-turns in the center of Monaco wasting even more time, We were then dumped on a random street and left to find our seats with no assistance - the apparently 15 minute walk took us 1 hour walking at a fast pace and we only knew directions because we knew the circuit, Pickup location was changed and the text was received only an hour before the bus was due to pick us up - again another hours walk away, The flight was delayed three hours for no given reason - the plane was on the tarmac the entire time, The hot meal on the return flight was a bag of crisps and a chicken wrap.
Fantastic experience: Great staff very helpful saved me over £550 on the same holiday that I was trying to book myself at home and are ABTA and ATOL so I have piece of mind that my money is safe will be going back for my next holiday very happy
Fantastic experience: Returned last week from a very successful 6 Nations trip to Rome. Stayed in the 4* Archimede which I could not fault and took Longside Tavera tickets. Patrick and Kate helped make my booking and were able to answer all questions I had. Certainly no complaints about the staff. There was no pressure to upgrade but the option was there. They even sent me a list of things to do with my etickets. Advice for Rome - probably worth taking a 4* Hotel and taking somewhere pretty central. I had the three star Groupon package and was first offered basic hotels outside the centre. They were close to metro lines/ bus routes but I didn't want to spend all my time on public transport. Whilst it cost a bit more, I wasn't spending money on taxis and got a quality hotel.
Fantastic experience: This firm helped me and the boys on a recent trip to Rome for the RBS Six Nations, and it was fantastic. Patrick and his team made every aspect of the trip a success. As the organiser; I was nervous about flights, hotels, transfers and tickets etc. Not wanting to be responsible for ruining the trip. Thankfully Worldchoice handled everything for us and several of the lads remarked on how well everything came together. There was nothing pushy, no up-selling, just professionalism and attention to detail. 100% will be booking again
Negative experience: Would not recommend this company, they gave us a awful hotel! paid for 4* and got something you could barely state as a 1* hotel, your better off booking your own hotel and tickets separately works out a lot cheaper and you know what hotel your getting!!!
Negative experience: Absolute rip off. Poor customer service. I booked 2 tickets for fury fight that was cancelled. This cost 350 with a hotel. They offered me 55 quid back for the tickets. The hotel was non refundable but when I checked it was book able for 45 quid. So they have happily pocketed 250 quid for doing nothing except be rude and unhelpful. Do not bother. Save your money and buy tickets yourself.
Negative experience: Booked tickets for the klitschko fury fight with hotel for the best part of 600 pounds, when the fight was postponed we were told we wouldnt get tickets for the new date and our hotel was non refundable, we were offered a 50% refund on our fight tickets which they valued at only 30 pounds each, so by this logic they were trying to say was they had charged us over 400 pounds for a hotel, rip off merchants! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Negative experience: One star is too much for this company. Awful, rude and non existent customer service. Also bad experience on trip to Rome. Would never recommend to anyone.
