Fantastic experience: Had a great time at the Jacobite Steam Train Experience yesterday. With Thanks to the drivers John (to Dumbarton) and Kevin and guide Rhona. Even though the coach was about 20 minutes later, we had a great day. will definitely travel with you at some point next year somewhere.

Negative experience: My team with enable Scotland waiting for bus last Saturday and they say bus did tune up I phone they route to us on the phone bearhead travel is number one with autism and learning disability they understand but Thorne travel do not care but people with learning disability people I hope they Company sinks Like the Titanic and they just like take money of people with autism and rip us of

People often think they save money booking trips by themselves but after receiving this service and the greatly priced holidays they quote, why would you give yourself the stress when it's a time to be enjoyed. I cannot recommend Thorne enough and they are such a lovely bunch to deal with, always a pleasure.

Fantastic experience: On my recent visit in to Thorne Travel to book a holiday away with my friends I was greeted by a very pleasant young gentleman called Craig. From start to finish he was exceptional in helping us select the right destination at the best possible price. No question we had for him was treated as being daft and he really did go that extra mile to make sure we understood exactly what we were booking. Insurance is a subject that my self and friends had zero understanding of but Craig showed tremendous patients going slowly through explaining why we needed it then helping us get the right insurance for the type of holiday we are going to embark on. I would highly recommend Thorne Travel and especially Craig who provided a 5star service.

Negative experience: I went on the thorne travel Fort William jacobite train trip in September this year (2023). The arrangements with the seating on the coach and train was absolutely pathetic and otherwise disgusting. The guide or whatever she's called, the woman who was present on the coach as a representative from the company, gave our seats to her friends despite us having booked and paid for the specific seats in advance. Otherwise she screwed with the experience as we didn't get what we paid for in the slightest. The only reason it wasn't totally depressive, was the family being present. Totally disappointed and frustrated with this experience. We deserve a full refund, bare minimum.

Negative experience: My personal experience was appalling. I called and received nothing but rudeness from Christy-Ann. Extremely lippy and rude, wouldn't listen to my query and asked my name several times before making a passive aggressive comment because their customer service skills are appalling. My only fault in all this was becoming frustrated when they asked my name for the third time (terrible customer service), I had been nothing but calm and polite and then I said my name for the third time in a tense tone as it was becoming ridiculous. The unprofessional and unbelievable response to this was a deliberate attempt to insult me and antagonise the situation. Ridiculous defensive attitude considering that I was having a very serious issues, trying to get just basic information from this agent. I wasn't even demanding information, I was fully cooperative when this was refused and suggested instead that they could pass on my details to resolve this issue. An absolute nightmare to deal with. Two male operatives were incredibly helpful and polite, but unfortunately that couldn't take away from this woman's gross attitude. This company take commission from selling holidays as a third party, so they profit from the staff at these holiday parks, and then speak to to those staff with zero respect. I really hope that no other customers have to complain to these people, because the owner refused to resolve this, and would not even consider a simple apology. Instead they thought it was appropriate to contact colleagues and attempt to bully and intimidate me into removing my completely honest account of this phone call. That's absolutely not how you run a business, and it could have been quickly dealt with via a simple conversation. I was also lied to, they had the nerve to call our booking agent and told me that they had said that I had no right to contact my own guests. This is an outright lie and the booking agent never said this. It was yet another childish and unprofessional attempt to insult me and insinuate that I was wrong. I was also lied to about the original conversation being recorded, as I had asked for the transcript and for the recording to be played to management to prove that I had not been at fault, and that I had not instigated the disgusting treatment that I received. I had not argued and I wanted to prove that I had been met with rude and defensive language from the very beginning. This was clearly an attempt to deceive me as the owner never produced these as requested, I asked several times, and I was never able to prove my side. They clearly do not exist, or Shona listened to them and realised that I was in fact correct. I know for a fact what happened and I was able to prove it all, but the owner was only interested in defending her staff's atrocious behaviour that day, and trying to bully me into silence.
