Fantastic experience: Family of 6 had a great time touring the Christmas lights of London. The commentator was lots of fun and pointed out so many things that we would have otherwise missed. Well worth it but wrap up warm so you enjoy the ride rather than worry about the cold. All guests had a top deck view.

Positive experience: Missed quite a few of the famous landmarks because it's hard to see when you are literally crying with laughter. Scripted bits were great but the ad libs and impro absolutely made it. Slick, hugely energetic and the perfect antidote to stuffy old traditional tours. Performance was 5 stars but had to drop a star because when something went wrong with our online booking I didn't like having to leave a message on a rip-off premium rate phone number, which no one replied to anyway....

Fantastic experience: Had a great trip with these guys yesterday, unfortunately due to the demonstrations, we could not get to Buckingham palace , but was still very entertaining and fun. If you really want to see the sites there may be better options, but if you enjoy English humour and want a fun experience! This is great

Fantastic experience: Our group of eight (four adults and four children) had the BEST time on this tour! From the start, the communication was amazing, and during the tour, we laughed so hard that our cheeks hurt! As we passed all the other tour groups (or even random people on the street), they were definitely envious of the laughing and fun coming from our bus! Our kids continued to talk about this tour long after we left London.

Fantastic experience: Ik en mijn 23-jarige zoon hebben onlangs deelgenomen aan *The Classic Tour*, een komische sightseeing-tour op een dubbeldekkerbus door Londen, en het was een geweldige ervaring! We hebben echt tranen gelachen door de hilarische gidsen en de grappige verhalen, die met zoveel flair werden gebracht. Naast de humor was het ook verrassend leerzaam. We leerden allerlei interessante feiten over de stad, maar alles werd met zo’n twist gepresenteerd dat het nooit voelde als een saaie geschiedenisles. De busrit door de iconische straten van Londen met zulke energieke entertainment is een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die iets anders zoekt dan de standaard rondleidingen. Topervaring! Een perfecte mix van entertainment en sightseeing!

Fantastic experience: A double decker joyride around central London brimming with bumbling British balderdash, fizzing with fun facts, capped off with cacophony of catchy, original songs to join in with. You cannot say you’ve truly seen central London until you’ve seen it from the perspective of the most eccentric bus tour in town!

Fantastic experience: Lord Larksford and Cheeksworth were entertaining guides around London, and made London traffic especially tolerable! I likely missed some important sights when I was laughing out loud (but still learned a lot when wiping away tears). The restored routemaster bus itself was very cool to check out and a comfortable ride! Very weather dependent as it had an open top on our day. The tour is more geared towards an English-speaking crowd (if you’d like to absorb the bits and facts). Worth it for a unique experience :)

Fantastic experience: We had professional and hilarious guides on our tour today — my face hurt from smiling and laughing by the end of the ~75 min tour! This bus has surround sound audio, so it’s easy to hear the guides. The two stellar guides are improv experts and in character the entire time. The tour is littered with interesting facts and entertaining jokes. Would especially recommend for groups with varying levels of interest in the sights as this tour is so much more than the sights of London — it’s a show!!

Fantastic experience: Lord Larksford and Cheeksworth were absolutely DELIGHTFUL tour guides. We are two adults in our early 40's, and we were grinning from ear to ear the whole time - they made it *so* much fun. Plus it's a legit terrific tour of London's landmarks! Even if they had played it straight, I still would have really enjoyed the tour! It takes about 80-90 minutes, which is perfect, the pick-up point was easy to find, and while we adults loved the show, it also would have been 100% appropriate for kids. Why take a boring tour of all the landmarks, or worse, spend a day and a half fighting through crowds to see them one at a time? Book a tour with these fellows, you'll be SO glad you did!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this bus tour! I went with my family and we had so much fun. I laughed so hard my face hurt! They had us laughing throughout the entire tour. These guys were so quick-witted. It’s not just a funny script. It’s interactive and they did not disappoint! They are natural comedians. This is an all-out show with jokes, songs, costume changes, the works! Plus we saw all the sights. We learned a ton about London and got so many great pictures. Seriously if you are considering taking a bus tour….DO IT!!! These guys are the BEST!!!

Negative experience: Booked for two people for 4:45pm, arrived a few minutes before and saw the bus driving off. So we weren't able to go on the tour. I've since contacted the company but have had no reply after a week, there is no phone number or email address for them so had to message via Instagram which I know they use because they often post. Have asked for a refund but no joy. My order number is ORD381293667

Fantastic experience: We had a great time today on the Christmas Lights tour. As a family of 5 with 3 kids (11,8 and 5) we enjoyed Tom’s interesting and entertaining commentary which made us all laugh. He was great! Despite the rain (which is obviously outside the tour companies control) we enjoyed the tour and marvelled at the twinkling light displays. We moved downstairs when the rain grew heavier which was just as fun. We actually turned up 30 mins early to ensure we got seats upstairs. Doing so we were offered seats on the earlier bus tour which was great for us. The pick up and drop off location was excellently located and easy to find. The traffic was slow around central at 4.30pm… which to be honest was to be expected, however Tom kept everyone entertained and spread some Christmas cheer. We would definitely recommend the tour especially with Tom as our guide. Thank you The Classic Tour for a memorable trip.

Positive experience: Leuke bus. Wij waren er op 8 december, start tour om 20:30. Het verkeer was niet door te komen. Dat kan je het bedrijf natuurlijk niet kwalijk nemen. Maar van de lichtjes tour zoals geadverteerd was zeker geen sprake. Regent Street werd gewoon overgeslagen. Het was leuk om te doen maar het geld niet waard.

Fantastic experience: The tour bus with the most character in London. We booked this tour bus in October 2023. It was great. We had a fantastic experience with a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. She was funny and witty keeping you laughing along the way. The iconic classic open red London bus sure impressed my Australian partner. It gave her a true sense of the London landmarks in a bus that everyone knows London for. Would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: If you want to do sight seeing tours big bus tours is the one you will enjoy the ride and the location maps are pretty clear even a lamen can understand easily and you have audio tours and the guides are really polite and helpful all the time Only suggestion is the evening your bus if you get bored or tired you are not allowed to get down anywhere and sit in the bus for 2-3 hours Avoid if possible if you hate to sit continously for 3 hours and please do utilise walking tours which is for 1.5 to 2 hours where you enjoy every bit of it

Negative experience: Arrived 30th October with a National Rail days-out-guide 2for1 voucher which was valid 09 September 2019 to 01 may 2020. Was told that they wouldn't accept it as it is too busy 'Halloween week'. Bus was less than a quarter full when it departed. Out of 10 vouchers we had for our week in London, this was the only one that wasn't honoured.

Positive experience: The commentary was pretty good, but the tour itself kinda just flew past everything, often at a distance from the actual attraction.

Since we were traveling without internet access we were relying on the screenshot that I had printed out. So maybe a bit better organization in that regard. A confirmation page with all of the details after booking would have been very helpful. They were responsive in regards to my emails prior to the tour.

Negative experience: We were disappointed after reading good reviews. The staff are unfriendly and the route is uninspired. Be aware that during the week, it doesn’t include Buckingham Palace. The guide tried to quell our disappointment by announcing that even at weekends, it just goes by the side of the palace, so we didn’t miss much. Why advertise it as a feature then?! The guide was not entertaining from our perspective but only cynical to all modern architecture and progress. He was only positive towards old buildings and his self confessed obsession with militaria. We got a much better impression from walking around with Google Maps as a less jaded guide. Those old bus seats are uncomfortable too! Our tour was shorter than the advertised timing but we were nothing but relieved to get off early. Avoid!

Negative experience: Good luck with this company. You’ll need it. When we arrived at our tour meeting point, a 10k foot race had shut down all surrounding streets and prevented the bus from getting through. As tourists we of course were not aware of the change (should not the tour company have known? these things are planned months if not years in advance...). Someone from the company met us and walked us over the Golden Jubilee bridge, which took about 15 minutes in 85 degree heat. Fine. We then departed only to meet road construction project after road construction project (again, as driving around town is your business, is this not something the company should have been aware of and alerted customers?). We literally did not see a single site on the itinerary and stood in bumper to bumper traffic inhaling exhaust for 45 minutes in the summer heat. The driver and guide did their best to maneuver the traffic, but we finally decided to hop off near the Tate Modern in order to salvage some part of our day. The experience was truly disappointing, a waste of money, and a terrible use of our limited time in London. When I emailed the manager, Barnaby Harrison, to request a refund, he refused, saying “we cannot refund on this occasion.” I’m curious on what occasions he does make refunds as this occasion certainly seems worthy by even the lowest of standards. Poor customer service. Poor planning. Poor execution and poor response. Buyer beware.

Fantastic experience: Booked this last minute with some friends and so glad I did!! The tour was very fun and informative and definitely the best way to see London. Our guide was great managing to make boring facts interesting and funny. Will recommend to everyone I know!!!

Fantastic experience: Me, my wife and a couple of my friends came to visit me from USA decided to explore London with an open top sightseeing tour bus. Looked online and found The Classic Tour. The bus looks cool. Been on the tour on Friday last week and I must say, it was incredible. My friends including us had an amazing sightseeing tour and we learnt a lot of new things. The live guide was excellent with a lot of knowledges about the city of London. I recommend this highly not only to the tourists but also for the Londoners.
