Fantastic experience: I recommend renting one of the great vans from Camperceilidh. Easy pick up and a really thorough handover. We had a great week in the Hebrides and loved the van. We are van novices, I cooked several nights and we had all the utensils, pots and pans we needed. We were warm and cosy in bed and the van was easy to drive. 100% recommended.

Fantastic experience: Great trip to Tiree ; the island of golden beaches and surf. There isn't much holiday accomodation available and even less accepting dogs but with 2 campsites a dog friendly campervan was the obvious solution and Capercaillie Campervans were very accommodating of canine pals and in addition provided excellent back up support for relative campervan newbies.

Fantastic experience: Excellent! Immaculate camper van in and out. Peregrine falcon van was best choice for us. It was equipped with everything you would need for a long or short trip. Eileen was very helpful and ran through how everything works and very informative when questions were asked due to it being first time in a camper.

We got a very thorough handover when we picked up the camper, which looked amazing and was spotlessly clean. As first time hirers we were a bit apprehensive about the adventure, but we needn’t have worried - we were in good hands. I have no hesitation in recommending Camperceilidh Campers.

Fantastic experience: Rented Tammie Norrie (VW California) for a week for visiting Highland Perthshire in September . She is a great van well designed, a joy to drive comes fully equipped and kitted out right down to the salt and pepper and vegetable oil for cooking. Eileen does a great handover and introduction. First class and would definitely recommend and would rent again!

Fantastic experience: We've just returned from 6 days hiring the Capercaillie camper from this first class company.  Eileen was very professional, friendly and helpful. Our luggage was not on our flight so we were late picking the van up. This also meant no bedding etc but Eileen provided us with sleeping bags, towels and even toiletries to tide us over. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Driving the camper was a breeze and the design inside was incredible, making use of every last space. So many extras and everything you could possibly need for a trip. Luckily our baggage arrived at the airport the next day so we were able to collect it before following the coast northwards.  Fortrose was a highlight. We then returned stopping off at different locations along the coast. On handing the camper back, Eileen showed us the other campers. We may well return to try out a different design. A mention to Jan too for fetching us so we didn't keep you waiting even longer on pick up. Thank you both for our memorable first stay in a campervan. Jackie and Richard

Fantastic experience: I hired The Capercaillie for 12 days in June for a post retirement holiday for myself and my black lab. The van had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, couldn’t fault Eileen’s preparation ahead of me picking it up. I was initially apprehensive about driving the van as it had a manual gearbox, (I’ve driven automatic cars for a long time….) but I shouldn’t have worried, she was so easy to drive and reverse Eileen gave a very detailed and informative handover on how everything worked on the van. Lots of extras are included - coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, even biscuits and sweeties.☺️ Our trip included Loch Carron, Gairloch and beaches at Findhorn, Rosemarkie, Dornoch and Clachtoll. If you’re thinking of trying a campervan holiday I highly recommend you get in touch with Eileen at Camperceilidh Campers. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will certainly return.

Fantastic experience: Camper van newbies and we have to say the Tammy Norrie was the right choice for our first campervan adventure. Lovely to drive and coming with all the essential features and plenty of extra lovely little touches. Fantastic experience: Amazing experience from start to finish! We travelled the NC500 - and some more - in the Tammie Norrie and we were simply blown away! Not only is the van absolutely stunning to look at but it's also extremely fun to drive and when it comes to the facilities they really have thought of everything. Fantastic experience: Brilliant! Eileen was incredibly helpful dealing with our relatively short notice booking and was excellent from start to finish. The camper van was absolutely spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything (and beyond!) we could have possibly needed. The van drove brilliantly for a weekend away in Skye and was a great home for a few days. Eileen was super flexible with our plans, and gave us an excellent and thorough intro to the van and it's clear that she puts a lot of love, care and attention into her business and has high standards for caring for her customers. We'll definitely be heading back as soon as the opportunity arises!

Fantastic experience: We hired Tammie Norrie for a week in early May for a mini tour of the North West and had a great time. Tammie Norrie is a purpose built VW California Ocean camper (not a van conversion) and was clean, tidy and well maintained. Everything you could ever need is in the camper, including tea and coffee, and biscuits (the nice ones :) So it’s worth spending some time picking over the inventory list before you pack as space will is limited and it’s easy to bury yourself under your own stuff :D. There is a two ring gas stove and a small fridge (no freezer). We took far too much and really only needed to take our bedding, clothes, toothbrush and some food supplies. The van has a pop top and is easy to make up into two comfortable small double beds. The diesel heater kept us warm and we didn’t really need a hook up as the leisure battery never went below 80% for us. I was slightly terrified at the prospect of driving a "big van" only having driven a small manual car, but she was really nice to drive and it didn’t feel big to drive at all, think SUV. Being automatic she won’t roll backwards down a hill either, and the parking sensors and the reversing camera made it a breeze to manoeuvre and park up. The van is equipped an integrated satnav, and also supported Android Auto/Apple App connection if you prefer that or want to play your road trip tunez. The process of booking and paying for the van was straight forward, Eileen is personable, helpful and easy to communicate with. When we collected the van, her colleague Jann gave us a detailed handover, explaining how things worked and answering our questions, including the porta-potti! Jann even washed my car while we were away. Thanks Jann! The security deposit was returned within a couple of days after dropping the van back. We spent two weeks in Scotland, the first week we did a mini tour of the North West coast in the camper and on the second week we cruised the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Fort William and back with Caley Cruisers. A great combo! As it was a bit of a last minute break for us, we hadn’t booked many camp sites. We tried to stay on a camp site every other night to use services and there are lots of places you can just stop and park up (and are welcomed) (see park4night). Places that I’d recommend are Balintore/Portmahomack, Handa Island (nature reserve and Puffins!), and Clachtoll Beach Campsite (we stopped for a couple of nights). Would definitely book with Eileen again. Maybe we will do more of the west coast or the western islands. There is so much to see and enjoy. Thanks for a great time.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience with Camperceilidh Campervans. We hired the Capercaillie for a four day break, travelling down the east coast of Scotland, staying on different sites en route. The van was a dream to drive and no problem to park and manoeuvre. Everything you could ever need to have a great holiday is included in the van and it really is a home from home. We would like to thank Eileen for being a fantastic, friendly host and we would have no hesitation in recommending Camperceilidh Campervans.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing three weeks we had traveling around the Cairngorms National Park in the Tammie Norrie camper van. The van was in excellent condition and was already packed with all the necessities and some surprise goodies for the whole family (sweeties, biscuits and some fizzy adult and kiddo beverages). Eileen took her time with us and the kids to show all of what the van can do and we felt ready when we were leaving that we could use it to its fullest. The van drives very easily and the sensors are all very useful in parking. It fits in parking spaces easily even with the bikes on the back. The van is easy to convert into the bedrooms and eating area - so easy our 10 year old did it most days. Eileen is a gem. she is such a nice and professional person, having a call with us before we booked, arranging bike hires for us and giving us lots of guidance on all of our options and even having to deal with international banking issues with Bermuda’s banking systems. I am happy to say that we have all made a new friend and look forward to coming back to Scotland and renting from CamperCeilidh Campers again. Now that we are back in Bermuda , we are letting everyone here know how wonderful our trip was and how glad we went with Eileen’s campervan. I look forward to the next time Eileen and thank you for everything!!!

Fantastic experience: I thoroughly recommend hiring a camper from capercaillie. The vehicle worked impeccably and was kitted out with equipment that has been tried and tested by obviously experienced campers - it worked. No unnecessary frills, just things you need and use e.g. The OS map was very useful for us, C&C club site handbook less so as we wild camped or just turned up at sites without booking. As a 6ft+ male driver, next time I'd like a longer bed and no shower or toilet but appreciate these facilities may be valued by other customers. Overall the rental was easy and I'd do it again.

Fantastic experience: A last minute decision to hire a camper van and go ! From start to finish, the process was easy . Although I booked at very short notice, Eileen was extremely accommodating and helpful. Easy communication. Picked up the fabulous camper in the afternoon, given very clear instructions on the controls , living area etc . Set off on an adventure north east Scotland. Very smooth to drive , park etc . First night takeaway Chinese… well , it’s a holiday lol . Very comfortable to sleep in , I slept in pop up top , extremely comfortable to my surprise. Day two and off to granton on Spey to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Booked in to a brilliant campsite. We didn’t cook though everything we’d need was supplied if we’d chosen to . But dinner out . Then tea and chocolate! Day three was on an amazing beach . The views … just wow .. I honestly can’t find any negative comment on this mini adventure, the van was perfect. Communication with the owner Eileen easy . The van was spotless, which is a big thing for me . From start to finish, perfect. I can’t recommend this company enough, and I know I’ll be a regular customer. I can’t wait to do it again.

Fantastic experience: We LOVED it!! Eileen could not have been more helpful and reassuring! I received a thorough explanation and demo of the van upon collection, although everything is actually quite intuitive. Eileen emphasised she was just a phone call away if I had any questions/issues - thankfully this was not necessary. The entire booking and collection process was smooth and deposit was returned the next day. The van was stocked with goodies - tea, coffee, sugar, oil, all the necessary cooking utensils (pots, pans, plates, etc etc). The biscuits and sweets were especially well received my two snack happy kids! The beds are both comfortable, and the view from the pop top is quite a special way to start the day. The van was a pleasure to drive - I was frequently grateful for the parking sensors and cruise control. As others have remarked, it truly is like driving a car - a very smooth runner. The highlight has to be parking along the Lochs and cooking up bacon rolls - just amazing! So many memories made, thank you Tammie Norrie!

Fantastic experience: A firm for Camperceilidh campers! Through the booking process, pre-trip familiarisation and post-journey check-out Eileen was friendly and efficient. The VW “Tammie Norrie” was delivered clean and fully equipped with crockery, cutlery & pots & pans. It is a great van & for my wife & I was our first experience of “van life”. It’s a big leap up from life under canvas! The van drives well & had the necessary pulling power up & over the hills on Scotland’s west coast. Fuel efficiency was good too. Top tips from our trip: book campsites in advance & book ferries in advance ( to avoid long days at the wheel). M&T Drummond

Positive experience: Excellent little van, stacked with great features and space for two adults with ease. If traveling with more I'd add a tent to keep the lower deck free for morning admin. Be aware of the pickup time if you plan a long drive on day one. Couldn't fault the condition, cleanliness and thoughtful inclusions in the inventory. We packed more than we needed and you could save yourself some space with better (than my) planning! Didn't use the lower bed but if you don't mind clambering up, the roof bunk is very comfortable and easily sleeps six foot x 2 adults or shorter wannabe astronauts. (That'll make sense once you get agile thru the "airlock")Van is nippy, easy to drive and pretty frugal. Auto box, cruise control and parking sensors all help to keep the driver chilled out. Two gas rings for a kettle or two pot cooking, (make sure to open the window and door as we set off the smoke alarm very easily) perfectly adequate sink. Worst thing - no sides to awning made for breezy evenings outside (add your own beach type wind breaks), Best thing - difficult choice but the fridge was an absolute blessing. May not be the most economical choice for wanderers, but if you don't want to pitch a tent then on balance it makes sense to me.

Fantastic experience: Lovely tidy van, presented in very good order, very easy to drive, and economical for such a large vehicle, we found it ideal for a holiday in NW Scotland, all the kit was easy to operate, and plenty space for the two of us and our large black lab. Outstanding helpful and efficient intro and support from CamperCeilidh. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend this enough. We hired the Campercaille camper for 4 days and it was brilliant. The van was spotless and never missed a beat, it’s easy to drive and very spacious inside considering it has a toilet and shower in the back. We did 500 miles on a single tank and the electric lasted us the whole journey with an initial charge. Eileen is very experienced with the camper and was very welcoming, we were sad to hand it back and will definitely be returning for another trip!

We had an amazing experience using Camperceilidh for our 3 night break in Aviemore with the Tammie Norrie campervan. When we collected the van we were given a first class hand over, going into great detail and where to find all the accessories. Fantastic experience: Had a great week in July 21. Great camper with everything needed for a stress free journey. Drove like a big car. Fridge, with bottle of wine, was very handy. Bed easy to convert. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We had the most wonderful 5 days in Eileen’s wee camper van, in fact it was a sad day when I had to return it. Eileen has thought of everything, it’s so well equipped, with all you might need for your trip. We had a wonderful stop off at Granton on Spey, a five star site that is walking distance from local amenities, from there we enjoyed day trips to Loch Morlich and Cairngorm. We then spent a night at the Shores of Loch Ness site, make sure you are well stocked up because the single track roads and lack of any phone signal mean it’s truly getting away from it all. Lastly we ended our holiday with a super visit to Findhorn bay site. So from forest, to mountain, to sea, we packed in so much. The Tammie Norrie is a joy to drive and handles the narrow roads with ease. We now have the camper van bug

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Camperceilidh Campers! My wife and myself rented the larger of their vans for a few nights in May. Amazing how many things and features fit into such a vehicle! Everything (and perhaps even more) than one would want - kitchen, small bathroom, comfy beds. The rental process was also very smooth; booking website works and the owner always promptly responds to all sorts of enquiries. Do not hesitate, book!

Fantastic experience: The care taken and therefore the condition of the Camperceilidh campervans is excellent and the owner is accommodating and flexible and ensures you have all the things you might need including books and maps. The van allowed me to make a fairly complex trip up the Outer Hebrides and was ideal for such a type of holiday. Recommend fully!

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely day/night away in Breamar. Went to the fife arms for dinner which was lovely and would highly recommend a visit for nice food. The camper van was even better than expected. Has everything you need in it from toilet/shower to cooking utensils eg oven & hob. Was really comfy to sleep in as well and didn’t get cold through the night and had black out protectors for when your sleeping which is even better. Would love to do the nc500 in the future and would recommend this camper van for sure.
