Fantastic experience: I spent last week at Ants Nest in South Africa, on a riding safari. What an incredible, awesome experience. The lodge and accommodation were superb, the food was top notch, nothing was too much trouble and riding top quality, well trained horses every day to see the game was a very special experience. Being able to get within a few feet of Rhino, Giraffe, Buffalo and countless other animals was humbling. I met some lovely people, it was like being part of a wonderful house party, as a solo traveller, I felt very at home and comfortable. I can't wait for my next adventure with Far & Ride!

This is an experience not to be missed for the adventurous traveller and the spectacular and breath-taking vistas easily compensate for the lack of 1st world facilities. Fantastic experience: Danni and Holly went above and beyond to organise the most incredible riding holiday in Argentina for me. They were extremely proactive and helpful, right from the initial phone call to my departure date. Danni and Holly were very quick to respond to all my questions and provided me with a detailed kit list, non-riding activities available, medical requirements, insurance details, onward travel suggestions and airport transfers etc. As I was travelling alone, they provided a step by step guide to help me get from the airport, onto the overnight bus and to the Estancia safely. I cannot recommend Far and Ride enough and I look forward to booking my next riding holiday with them in the near future.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a Spain - Sierra de Gredos mountains riding holiday with my adult daughter - AMAZING! Fantastic horses, the trail guides and staff were extremely knowledgeable, and the landscape was spectacular - valleys in full spring bloom against a back drop of snow-capped mountians; scent-filled pine forests; clear mountain streams and so many birds! The aperitivo stops and lunches provided the best scenery while the accomodations were a delight! Thank you Holly for making our dream riding holiday a reality!

Fantastic experience: Il Paretaio Toscana Was all that I was expecting and more. Beautiful Tuscan country house, Italian home cooking, warm hospitality, great company, beautiful scenery, excellent tuition and very classy horses. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: We did the Loire Castle Ride. Far and Ride were fantastic to deal with. It’s the first holiday I have been on using them but doubt it will be the last. In France we were looked after by Ken and Sophie. and we were all completely won over by Ken who led all the rides. He has a charm you can’t quite describe. He just simply made you smile all day, everyday. Good English. Fabulous accent. Locally born so with immense knowledge of the wines, the lands and of course the Castles. The horses were nearly all home bred and it was clear that they were extremely well looked after and trained. We stayed in pretty nice hotels. The horses sometimes went home and sometimes stayed in fields close by. So there was a little bit of being picked up and dropped off by minibus but it worked very well. And Ken and Sophie worked extremely hard to make our holiday memorable. We ate lunch sometimes picnicking with the horses close by or were taken to local restaurants where almost everyone were locals. We ate and drank very well indeed. Thank you To Ken and Sophie and Far and Ride.

Fantastic experience: I learned about Holly and Far & Ride from a friend I've met on my very first riding-trip with Offbeat Safaris in Kenya. From that day on, I now book everything concerning "Holidays on horseback" with Holly (6 actually) - she does a fantastic job, knows me very well and can recommend exactly what I like :) and is also honest by telling me "hmmm, no, I think this ride doesn't fit you because of xyz". She's available so easily, one gets responses very fast and it's uncomplicated - all I like about having an agency. So: nothing to complain, just positive words and I hope, a lot of other "riding travelers" will be able to enjoy her services and the tours she's promoting. A 5 star review for sure!

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my second Far and Ride holiday in Lofoten, Norway. I could not recommend Far and Ride, and this particular ride highly enough. Cathy was very helpful and responsive, the organisation from the booking to departure was flawless. The Lofoten ride was absolutely breathtaking, insane scenery and the most adorable horses with huge personalities. Everything about this experience was easy and I didn't have to worry about anything but enjoying myself.

In short, I’ve just returned from a spectacular experience in Costa Rica at Hacienda Sassenberg with the incredible hosts Heiko and Jazmin. Booking it through Far & Ride was such a blessing. From my very first inquiry and email, I truly felt so supported and guided by Natalie who gave me such good advice, local insights, quick responses and great suggestions regarding my trip to Costa Rica. Natalie was so helpful in getting me prepared, answering all my questions over email and phone, and ultimately getting me booked up and confirmed for the trip. I also loved receiving the comprehensive preparation guide on what to think about, what to pack, how to make the most of the trip, cultural insights, etc. It made me feel very prepared and organised. My experience at Hacienda Sassenberg with Heiko and Jazmin was truly spectacular. They’re the most wonderful, welcoming, fun, and interesting hosts and I was so thrilled to learn so much from them. Their hacienda is state of art when it comes to the guest house, their finca, the riding & stable area, the views — and the food served was truly delicious. Throughout my week I got the chance to explore how to ride Western style, connect with all of their amazing horses & animals, try out so many local delicacies, visit countless different places in the area, ride 4X4, learn new language skills, experience Costa Rica's range of micro-climates, as well as meeting some of their wonderful friends. Truly, a magnificent week on all fronts. Huge thanks to Far & Ride and Hacienda Sassenberg for this magical experience.

There was never anything that stumped her and she always had a prompt reply. We felt so comfortable throughout the whole preparation process for the trip. Fantastic experience: I recently returned from a trip to Slovenia on the Green Karst Trail, organized by Holly at Far and Ride, and had the time of my life! The trip was absolutely incredible and Holly made booking and planning my travel so easy. She was extremely responsive to my questions (especially considering that I'm in the US with several hours' difference in time zones), and helped me know what to pack and how to prepare for my first riding holiday. Fantastic experience: An unforgettable holiday in Croatia!! In the Dalmation Hinterland mountains, with Stipe and his family. Everything was wonderful, a family atmosphere, homemade food, wonderful horses, very well cared for, and such beautiful excursions; I have no words to describe such beautiful nature and total silence. The room was very comfortable, and Stipe was always attentive. I went alone, and I returned with a family of friends made in Croatia!!!!

Fantastic experience: Cathy at Far and Ride was great helping me find a suitable location for my holiday this year. Having had various setbacks previously, I was so glad this trip worked out well. I had a marvelous time with Steve, Donna and the team at Los Olivillos (Axarquia mountain hideaway). The finca is so beautiful and Donna and Steve are wonderful hosts. (OMG the food!!! So good!) The horses were wonderful too - so well cared for and Steve matched us all to suitable horses with care and understanding. I can't wait to go back, just need to save up the pennies again!

This was my 5th horse riding holiday with Far and Ride, and as always the experience exceeded all of my expectations. Fantastic experience: Horses,Dunes and Nomads; Sahara Desert Trail Morocco Excellent riding experience across Sahara desert on fast however obedient Barb Arabian stallions. Unique Moroccan cuisine, tee, dates and hot shower after riding in the middle of the desert-what a luxury, especially after sort of sand storm!

Fantastic experience: We did the Krka Trail in August 2022 and it was an amazing experience. We were so well looked after and the horses were fast, fit and enthusiastic about their job. Holly was an excellent source of advice and help and was so accommodating in helping us make our trip happen. We waited 3 years for various reasons including COVID restrictions and she was patient throughout and enabled us rebook. Far and Ride also go over and above to prep riders for their trip so we knew exactly what to expect and what to pack. Thank you, Holly! Would happily rebook with Far and Ride in the future.

Fantastic experience: I rode in Botswana this summer and had the most magical trip. The camp was lovely, we saw tons of wildlife, the staff treated us like royalty, and the horses were generous and eager to please. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic experience: Just finished a 6 days backcountry trial ride through the Rocky Mountains. It was absolutely breathtaking much better than we imagined it to be. From start to finish the ride was amazing. Staff were all friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and fun going out their way to make the best memories for the riders. The food was plentiful and delicious. Just as well your weight is taken before you leave town! The horses were great. Sound and sure footed. Well looked after and new their job. Halfway House was out of this world. If you like the total wilderness then this place has it all. Unfortunately we didn't get to go up the pass as it was snowing in Banff when we arrived - 2 weeks ago! The passage would have been too dangerous but we are looking into coming again next year to grab that moment. The staff at Far and Ride were also fantastic. Nothing ever a bother even my stupid questions. A very slick and professional organisation. Wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend Far and Ride or the Banff Trail Riders. Linda and John

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Far and Ride Ltd enough. I have been on many horse treks around the world and the service we received from this agency was amazing. I wasn't sure what trip to book and Natalie was extremely helpful and thorough with her guiding me to right ride for the time I needed and ability. It was important to me that the company had first hand experience with the trek as not all companies do. We went on the Majella ride in Italy and it was far and beyond our expectations. An amazing trek!! The owner Carmina and his partner Sandra run an authentic Italian trek from their home out to the National Parks. I can't wait to go on another ride with Far and Ride!!! Fantastic experience: We have used Far and Ride for three trips so far (Egypt, Wales, Croatia) and would not book a horse riding holiday with any other company. The staff personally try every trip to ensure its up to scratch, and this also means they can give in-depth insight and advice. I like that they will be honest if they feel a particular trip is not suitable for you and provide alternatives. They respond quickly to correspondence and were very flexible with regards to Covid. So far we have had a wonderful time on each of our trips, which have been as described or even better. We look forward to booking our next one.

Extremely convenient and the team was very communicative for my (thousands) of questions, no matter when I sent them (I worked with Natalie, who was quick to respond and always incredibly helpful). The trip itself was exactly as described on the site, if not better - I felt very prepared for it and could not have had a better time. Fantastic experience: Perfect agency for horseback riding holidays.

Fantastic experience: Recently returned from Donana dressage & trails in southern Spain. Had a great holiday. The horses were quality and the dressage lessons fun and instructive. The trails were also really interesting and put us in close touch with nature. We saw wild boar, red deer, wild horses. The Lynx evaded us however, though others had seen them. The food was good and locally produced - some great fish dishes - though it would have been good to have sampled a traditional paella and a decent steak on separate nights. The staff were faultless and really keen to go the extra mile to make the holiday a special one which it was. They could not do enough for us. Accommodation was good too - situated around the perimeter of a huge open plan dining room which incorporated lounge sitting area. On 2 nights we were treated to local flamenco music. Nice to meet others too as we all sat together on a large trestle table - about 12 in all. A relaxed home from home atmosphere. Some good visitor centres nearby too. Finally I have to mention the dog, Juan, a huge I don't know what to be honest, but adorable he was. All in all a memorable holiday. Far and Ride organised their end of things with seamless friendly efficiency and unlike recent experiences with larger tour companies gave us the detail on what the Covid requirements were rather than merely directing us to the government website. This attention to detail is one of the things that sets them apart. Another is the friendliness of the staff.

Fantastic experience: I often don’t find myself leaving reviews, I chose Far & Ride Ltd for the comfort of having a travel agent assistance when booking international equestrian vacations. Natalie has been a tremendous help with the booking of my vacation, definitely takes away the nerves of booking a trip. I would highly recommend this travel agency for future riding adventures!! 10/10
