Fantastic experience: We did the total Thailand tour and were looked after by Tommy as part of the southern island tour. He was a great tour leader and would highly recommend him. This also goes for Tor, our group leader for the northern tour. Both really great guys!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say how amazing the Northern Thailand trip with TruTravels and our super guide Tony was. Highlights of the trip were definitely the Elephant sanctury and hike in the wilderness visiting the different waterfalls. Tony looked after everyone really well on the tour, including myself when my flight was cancelled and he organised transport so I could catch up with the rest of the tour and minimise my delay. Overall really well organised and great value for money. Thanks again to Tony who made the experience all the more memorable!

Fantastic experience: Tommy and Peanut were my tour guides on the 9 days escape Thailand on the 9th June 2024 and they were honestly amazing. So much fun whilst also being SO informative and professional. Literally the perfect balance and told us everything we were doing or needed. Had the best trip ever so much so that I’m going back to do some more travel as they made the experience so good. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: Went on the 9 day Thailand trip in August and can honestly Tommy and Sea were the absolute best tour guides we could have asked for - myself and the whole group wouldn’t have had the experience we had if it wasn’t for them. It’s a nerve wracking experience to join a group solo to travel together but they just immediately made us feel so safe and comfortable as well as providing such fun and enjoyment. It was an emotional goodbye to say the least as they became such good friends as well as guides, but they will forever be a part of my story and I’ll forever be thankful for the experience they gave me. Fantastic experience: This was my first international TruTravels x TravelBFF trip, and it was an unforgettable experience thanks to our wonderful tour guides, Bee and Sea. I'm giving a 5 star review due to the immense care they gave all of us, exhibiting professionalism, patience, kindness, and taking the time to connect with us all on a personal level. There are some things regarding accommodations and the itinerary that I felt could have been different, but that boils down to personal preferences and it doesn't overshadow the overall wonderful experience. Missing Thailand and my new Thai friends, Bee and Sea, already ❤️

Fantastic experience: It was so far the best trip of my life! I’d never thought i would be so happy. I met so many beautiful and kind people. Everything was really good planed and we always had someting to do. I learned so much about thailand and i fell in love with the nature and the people. My tour guide Sea was the best one! A really sweat, caring and funny person! She became like a best friend and family. She was always there for me and made my trip special. I was so happy there that i expanded my trip for few more days. I just can recommand to book a trip with Sea, you will not regret it!

Fantastic experience: Our guides, Sea and Tommy consistently went above and beyond for us, without us ever having to ask. We felt as though they were just our close friends who looked after us rather, than guides by the end. Sea always made sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves and did everything she could do to improve our experience. Tommy kept us feeling safe and looked after, sending detailed updates everyday and even at one point bravely protecting us from a crazy goat! They both answered any and all questions we had throughout the trip, from food recommendations to taking our pictures! They went above and beyond for every thing we needed, wanted and asked for. Thailand could have been good or even great without them, but Sea and Tommy made it incredible, and we will really miss them! Leela

Positive experience: The Bali Experience Tour Nov 24 I have never been to Bali before so I experienced some fantastic things! It was great to go with a tour so we can sit back and relax about planning things and meet new people. The booking was simple and Tru Travels were very quick to reply to several questions we had. The pick up from the airport was smooth and stress free. I think the trip is well organised and accommodates everyone, with different activities included. I loved the chilled pace and the time we had to do our own thing in and around the tour. However the rooms were incredibly basic and the activities were fairly cheep, so i feel like the whole tour was done on the cheap to make money. There were many extra activities that you had to pay for to fill in the gaps. Unfortunately myself and my friend who I did the tour with got Bali Belly / Food Poisoning on the second day and have never been as ill in our whole lives - it was incredibly scary. We messaged our tour guide for advice on what to do as we could barely keep anything down or move without being ill. He took an incredibly long time to reply and offered minimal advice “keep me updated and let me know if it gets worse” he did offer to get anything for us but by the time he had offered our other tour members had already offered and brought us some cold water. Our guide never popped in to see us and check we were okay, he just send the occasional message. We had to do our own research on what to get from the pharmacy to help feel better. For our tour guide G’s personality I would give him a 10/10. Hes funny bubbly and just like a mate which is fantastic - however his professionalism as a tour guide lacks. It felt like he rushed our activities because he was bored of them having seen them many times before. There was a lack of information about the area, so if we wanted to know anything we had to ask. Info on each next day came late, and some days we had to ask for it. The restaurants we were taken to weren't great, it seemed he wanted to go where he knew people so he could get free food. There was a moment when we all decided we would prefer a different restaurant to the one he chose and he was happy about it because it means “I get a night off”. There were times where it felt like the tour was getting in the way of his personal life and he just wanted to go off and see his mates. He left us at paddle boarding before we did, to go get his nails done. It felt once we had got to the end of the trip he fully switched off and was ready to just party. There was a moment where he asked me to message the group on his phone to explain what the next activity was because he was too hungover to explain it. At the end there was pressure at the last dinner to write a 10/10 review. I chose to wait until I was home and our tour guide chased me twice about leaving a 10/10 review - i believe reviews should be discretionary and not begged for. If it wasn't for our fantastic group, who are now friends for life, I would be completely disappointed. I do think we could have done the tour ourselves for either cheaper or with the same money but better hotel standards. Yes I would book with Tru Travels again to see if this was just a one off bad experience, because the organisation and theory behind the trip was great!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic time on the 11 day Yucatan experience tour - Eve was a fantastic guide, and her enthusiasm and passion for Mexico really shone through. She also made sure everyone’s questions were answered and everything ran smoothly. A great way to see Mexico!

Fantastic experience: I just did the Yucatán experience with Eve as our tour guide. The entire experience was incredible and Eve was the perfect guide, she was organised, knowledgeable and so much fun! I would highly recommend this tour with Eve to everyone and I can’t wait to try more Tru Travel experiences :).

Positive experience: We did the Komodo Island hopper 9 day trip as the start of our honeymoon. This was a great (and reasonably priced) option of getting to see a lot, in a short time. We had an amazing time. Whilst we were keen to avoid bali, and didn't love Lombok, the waterfall trip on Moyo Island, swimming with manta rays, live aboard boat, pink beach, national park snorkeling, Padar sunrise and komodo dragons were absolutely incredible. Flores in particular is spectacularly beautiful and we only wish we had more time. Rizky our "travel Ninja" was great company, with a fantastic sense of humour, and he went out of our way to ensure we all had an amazing experience. We are very grateful! Terima Kasih!

Fantastic experience: I had two guides Whiskey and Smile for the Thailand Escape Tour. They were both incredibly kind, helpful and overall amazing guides. Smile was with us for the majority of the tour and was absolutely fantastic. He made the trip what it was and is brilliant at his job, knowledgeable and he made sure everyone in our group was well looked after and planned the perfect trip. We always had great reccomendations and best views. I'd come back to Tru Travels just to have Smile be my guide! Great 'Flashpacker' trip, worth spending a little more for comfort and nicer stays.

Fantastic experience: I booked the slice of Italy trip in 2024. It was amazing. I started to finish. We went through multiple cities and did everything I wanted to do. The tour was well organized, fast-paced, but well planned and very enjoyable. Our tour leader Will was amazing and well prepared. He made the tour very enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: Just finished the most incredible tour of Italy with Will, Maria, and David. Will was the kindest, funniest, and most amazing tour guide I’ve ever had. He was able to make every moment as fun and stress-free as possible. On the tour I enjoyed learning about the history and culture of Italy; trying different Italian food and wine, and walking to and around different historic sites. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves Italian food and culture. Can’t wait to go on my next TruTravels trip!

Fantastic experience: The 8 day slice of Italy tour is a trip I’ll never forget. The tour provides you with such a fun range of organised activities, including food tour in Naples, chair lift in Capri and tour of the Colosseum in Rome. All of the accommodation was well equipped and comfortable which I found to accommodate nicely for short stays. The range in transportation throughout the tour allows you to experience Italian culture first hand. I’d definitely recommend this trip to others. Our tour leader Will was organised and approachable. His leadership style allowed you to feel relaxed and confident throughout the trip. His humour was top tier. Other mentions go to Maria and David, both of who made this tour all the more exciting and unforgettable.

Fantastic experience: Gema was such a lovely tour guide. In the past I have had a lot of anxiety around travelling and have had some bad experiences in the past, but with Gema I was finally able to understand why people enjoy travel so much!! Her organisation of the catamaran in Venice when our river cruise was cancelled was a highlight of the trip for many of us, and she always ensured we felt safe and no one got left behind- really important for an all-female trip. She was cheerful and kind, giving us lots of recommendations for our free time around the city. She was also really accommodating of people's preferences- when I didn't want to do the morning cycle in Bled but said I wanted to go for a walk, she was encouraging of this. When one of the girls was ill and needed to rest on the morning of the thermal baths, Gema gave her her ticket so she could go a little later. The itinerary was busy enough that I felt I had value for money, but also not too busy that I felt overwhelmed. My highlights of the trip were: the thermal baths in Budapest, exploring Vienna, the boat in Bled and the catamaran in Venice. I have made so many lovely friends on this trip and am excited for my next trip!

Fantastic experience: I went on the Europe by Rail Budapest to Milan tour with Gema and it was amazing! She was an excellent tour guide and made our experience so memorable. The itinerary was great and I had the best time.

Fantastic experience: Europe Inter-rail trip — Gema is an amazing tour guide and person, you can tell she has put a lot of time into the tour learning about each city to give the group the best understanding of the culture, history and sights. Gema was always so upbeat and positive which provided a really good group dynamic helping us to bond and stay in good spirits on the long traveling days. Gema always had fun activities for us helping us to break the ice and get to know each other which was great and allowed us to become a close knit group. I would 100% join another trip with Gema in the future!! The trip has been not only tonnes of fun but also really informative and a great learning experience. The activities included have been a great range from active sessions such as cycling/hiking and more chilled sessions like the Budapest ruin bars. I was nervous to go on a trip with 20 girls I’d never met before but Gema did a great job on our first evening helping us all to break the ice and get to know each other. From this first day the group has grown closer and closer together with Gema always making sure everyone was included and having fun! The accommodations were better than expected having never stayed in hostels before with the exception of 2/5 hostels which I had some reservations about (lake bled and Milan) but on the whole the hostels had everything you needed for the short stays. The countries visited on this trip provided a great range and offered both active and relaxing times, Budapest and Venice being my favourite! We had a slight issue with flooding in Budapest resulting in our evening cruise being cancelled but Gema and the team worked their magic and organised a catamaran in Venice which was incredible! If I could I’d do the trip all over again!!

Fantastic experience: Gema was honestly amazing! She went above and beyond for us all throughout the whole trip; giving us the best recommendations for each place we visited and making sure we all felt welcomed and were enjoying ourselves. Especially for those younger in the group gema always made sure they were comfortable and assisted in ensuring everyone was enjoying themselves at all times. Additionally, i didnt feel forced to do any of the activities that were planned if i didnt want to. And gema always made sure we knew that this trip was ours and we at the end of the day could decide what we wanted and didn't want to do throughout the trip. I’ve done another trip to a different country previously but with a different company and i’d have to say gema excelled when it came to being our tour leader, you could really tell how much it meant to gema that we enjoyed ourselves and she was always well educated and clocked up with everything we could possibly want to know about each place we went to. I just wanted to thank Gema for really making this whole trip and i would be delighted to experience another trip with her as our leader in the future

Fantastic experience: The trip was an amazing experience and great way to meet lovely girls. Everyone on the trip was so nice and kind. Our guide Gem was so lovely and passionate. She strived to provide us with the best experience each day no matter if bumps popped up along the way. We had a great mixture of planned events and free time which allowed us to explore how we wanted to. Gem was so knowledgeable about cities and I left safe the whole time. Fantastic experience: The trip has been amazing and I’ve definitely met friends for life but I don’t think without having a tour guide like Gema it wouldn’t have been as amazing tour as it was, she’s very understanding and relaxed but made the trip so fun and memorable! I’d mentioned about possibly booking the gals who travel Costa Rica trip and knowing that Gema could be the tour guide on that really makes me want to book it more knowing I’d be in safe hands anyway but it would make the trip!

Fantastic experience: This was my third Tru Travels tour and they just keep getting better. Having done the Greece and Croatia sailing tours I decided to book the Greek island tour. From start to finish the Greece island tour has been incredible, from amazing history in Athens, to the beautiful beaches of Mykonos, partying and boat trips in Ios and stunning sunsets in Santorini. This tour is a fantastic mix of culture, history, fun and relaxation, I’d recommended it to everyone! The tour was made even better by our fantastic guide Loz (Lauren/Lit Loz). No good tour is complete without an amazing guide and Loz did an incredible job. She kept the vibes high, the mood up and the experiences amazing, her knowledge and personality is unmatched. I’d be honoured to have her as my guide again for any future tours I do!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! The trip was well planned and had contingencies for every hiccup! Our train was cancelled to Lake Bled and we were quickly booked on a bus later in the evening. Alex was friendly and cheerful the entire trip, he made my first tru trip sensational!

The tour was elevated to new heights thanks to my outstanding tour guide Luis!!! Where to start Luis made us feel like we were apart of a family and has very quickly become a close friend. Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time on my Trutravels tour to Mexico, mostly thanks to our very enthusiastic tour guide Luis, not only were we taught history about different events and buildings in Mexico, we tasted local food (even as local as being invited into a local families home to eat), Luis lead a very informative and tasty tequila tasting and taught us to salsa dance. Mexico has so much to offer and feels very safe, would definitely recommend to a friend. 10/10 to Luis he is so passionate and injects energy and intrest into the group.

Throughout the trip I felt safe and at ease in the comfort that the travel logistics were cared for. At each location our travel guide Gema, gave us all the important information we needed and gave us tips on how to best enjoy our time in each city / area. When participating in group activities Gema made sure everyone was included if they wished, she became a part of our collective girl group, not just our tour guide. It was amazing to connect to such an interesting, creative person and share our own experiences of travel and life. Thank you Tru Travels for arranging this unforgettable trip experience!

Fantastic experience: I travelled with TruTravels x Gals Who Travel on their 10 day Europe interrail trip. Our guide Gema’s positive energy is contagious. She’s knowledgeable about the areas and always checks that the girls are safe and happy. She makes each individual feel included and part of a group. She’s extremely communicative and accessible via WhatsApp even if she’s not with the group during free time. Gema always goes out of her way to make sure every member of the group is having a good time, ensuring any hiccups are resolved swiftly. She treats everyone as equals and her warmth makes her seem more of a friend than a traditional tour guide. She’s keen to get involved with games and experiences and does everything with a 10/10 attitude that infects the groups. The itinerary is fun, logistics and travel is smooth and accommodation is great for backpackers

Fantastic experience: Our tour guide, Gema, is the epitome of a ray of sunshine. She never failed to make everyone smile and laugh, even when we were all tired. I instantly felt very comfortable with her, and if at any point I had a problem, I know I could’ve gone to her for help. But because of her amazing organisation of the trip, I never had any issues! Gema is an engaging tour guide. It is clear she does her research beforehand and passes on her knowledge on the history & culture of the city. Sharing her suggestions of places to go see and places to go eat was very helpful and took the stress out of finding places to go. As it was my first time travelling in this style and without people I already knew, I wanted to feel safe. Gema definitely made this happen! Even when our train to Venice was delayed, I didn’t feel stressed as I knew Gema would do everything in her power to keep us safe. Her card games became particularly helpful in this time! Gema’s positivity and ability to laugh at herself is infectious. I couldn’t recommend her more. For me, Gema had the perfect balance of fun and entertaining, while also keeping us informed on important information, as well as sharing her knowledge of the city we were in. Gema did a great job of recommending places to eat. Our group dinners were affordable but delicious, and the places had an amazing atmosphere. Gema also gave great recommendations for places to go for drinks afterwards for those that wanted. At no point did I feel lost or unsure of where to go. My only criticism of this trip is the lack of itinerary we receive beforehand. It would have been good to receive a document with each day’s rough itinerary and the name of our hostels. I think if we knew where we were staying and what free time we had, it would’ve helped to plan what we’d like to do beforehand & make the most of the time we had in each place. That being said, the TruTravels staff who I communicated with before the trip were always very helpful, friendly and quick to respond.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish Gema was amazing. Very informative & knowledge about the sights within each city as well making sure we were aware of all the stops & what public transport to be using to make sure we could make it back to the hostel. When group activities were happening Gema always made sure to check with each individual that they wanted to take part by surveying in the chat & making sure we knew what time we had to be there for. Gema gave the group daily updates of the following days plan with all the times and locations needed. Gema followed up with this in the morning repeating with the days plan and letting us know when we had free time to explore and gave us lots of recommendations of where to go, what to see and where to eat. If unsure about anything gema was always on hand to text to ask any questions and answered right away. Gema was very chatty with everyone and made sure to speak to everyone throughout the trip asking about them, what trips they’ve done before. Overall Gema was a fantastic tour guide!

Her organisation made the trip enjoyable and stress free, it was a good balance of group activities and free time. Gema was our tour guide for the gals who travel interrailing trip, she was an excellent tour guide always there if we needed guidance and support. throughout the trip Gema gave us some suggestions on places to visit during our free time such as bars, restaurants and tourist hotspots which was extremely helpful during the trip. As we went out for a few group meals these were very well organised and a fun thing to do.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible experience! I toured Croatia with Ryhannon who was so fun and personable! She made our trip comfortable and exciting. Up against some bad weather, she was able to help creatively navigate new options with our last minute changes in itinerary. We had the perfect balance of our own time outside of planned activities to explore, and her food recommendations were great! As was the chef on board - Matteo's cooking was amazing! He was able to last minute accommodate the dietary restrictions I neglected to mention, which was very much appreciated.The whole crew was awesome!

Fantastic experience: Just finished the greek island hopping trip with Tru. This was my fourth tour and they just keep getting better and better. Our tour guide Will was just the BEST. He really cares and looks after the group before, during and after the tour. His knowledge was brilliant, I learnt so many things from him about the history / and the places. The itinerary was a perfect mix of sightseeing, sunsets, beaches, pools and party. The hotel resorts on Mykonos and Ios were amazing!!! All the tours are extremely well organised and well thought out, I would definitely recommend this tour and all the others to anyone who is thinking of booking up! You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This was my first ever tour with TruTravels and I don’t regret a single part. Through the Greek island hopper we got to learn about Greek cultures and history. The group, itinerary and boat crew were 10/10, and even though I’d been to Croatia a few times before i visited loads of beautiful places I’d never been to / heard of before. Fantastic experience: Our tour leader Gema has been a fantastic guide, she has a super bubbly personality which really reflects and rubs off in the group. She really wants you to get the best from this experience and will go above and beyond do sort tickets/experiences for us. The tour has been an amazing way to travel to new destinations and the trains have been a chilled way to travel. The range of activities planned by Trutravels and those we have planned ourself have been really enjoyable, especially the Budapest night cruise and the tobogganing in Lake bled. I’ve also made friends for life and have really enjoyed travelling and spending time with a likeminded group of girls.

From the ancient ruins of Athens to the stunning islands of Mykonos, Los, and Santorini, every moment felt like a dream come true. Starting in Athens, we immersed ourselves in history, exploring the Acropolis and marveling at the Parthenon. The city’s rich culture, delicious food, and vibrant atmosphere set the perfect tone for the journey ahead. Next, we headed to Mykonos, famous for its charming whitewashed buildings and lively beaches. Her local insights helped us discover hidden gems we never would have found on our own. Los was a true surprise—less touristy than Mykonos but equally beautiful. She even organized a boat tour around the island, allowing us to swim in go through the caves and snorkel around the famous ship wreck! Throughout the entire trip, Ria’s dedication and attention to detail were evident. Fantastic experience: Just finished my second tru travels tour, the Greek Island Hopper, and i couldn't recommend it more. There is so much to do and see, and our guide, Maria, especially made the trip. I was very impressed with how helpful she was, with daily itineraries, recommendations for places to eat and see, organising onwards travel/accommodation and so much more. It was actually my birthday on the first day of the trip, and unknown to me she had gone the extra mile and organised a cake for the end of our first group meal which was a lovely surprise and I was very greatful for. Overall, I was very impressed, and I don't think we could have asked for a better guide.

Tess really got everyone involved and was so enthusiastic but also really down to earth and you can really have a laugh with her (she’s also the best photographer and hype girl you’ll meet). She really made the tour what it was and without her and the amazing people I met I wouldn’t have had such a great time!
