Fantastic experience: As we needed a last minute holiday for a special occasion we went to LaVida travel as we had used them once before. The staff in the Newport office were so helpful and attentive from the moment we entered. We spent along time over two days with the staff but they found us the perfect holiday to the Maldives, in our budget. They didn't just try to give us the first holiday they found but something that ticked all the boxes we had asked for. We have just returned and we had a picture postcard holiday - thank you.

Lisa booked our holiday and left no stone unturned, getting exactly what we wanted for our cruise and stay beforehand, along with a very competitive price! La Vida travel advised us how to get the most out of our holiday by staying for 9 nights at Lake Buena Vista and 5 nights at the Universal resort. Their advice was invaluable and gave us the best of both resorts. Negative experience: Duty of care to customers, non existent. Easyjet cancelled our flight due to air traffic strikes on a Sunday evening and because we booked via a travel agent we could not manage the booking ourselves. We were told by easyjet staff that only the travel agents could book us alternative flights/accommodation. We tried to call la vida but there was no answer. We called them on their mobile but again no answer. We were effectively left stranded with no options other than to book flights with another provider which cost £400. I did leave a 1 star review when I got back to the UK but la vida asked me to take this down as they will look to get our money back. I took it down but after a day we were informed by la vida that we need to submit the claims to easyjet ourselves. They said we could get £350 compensation and claim the expenses for our flights. Easyjet have rejected both claims and now I have lost £400. Had la vida answered their phone to us at the time they could of booked flights for us at no extra cost. This gets better. A representative from la vida has apologised to our lead passenger because they left the works mobile in the office over the weekend!!!! La vidas incompetence has meant that as a group of 13 passengers we have lost over £4000 in flights we cannot claim back. Thanks for that la vida, ruined my holiday.
