GOAT Roadtrip

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed in my recent hire as provided me with an untaxed vehicle and issues with battery and AA, unable to use AA because the vehicle wasn't taxed. It ran out on the 1st August and I rented his on the 23rd August so no excuse and Extremely poor customer when I tried to resolve this as it was a nightmare trying to get contact with someone. They knew of my situation and still shut up shop and the emergency number in the van wasn't valid 4 people called this and nothing. we lost a full day at Leeds fest trying to sort the van out and they wouldn't even refund me a day's ticket .

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing weekend in Max the Peaugot Boxer. Super spacious van with a really comfy bed, and decent kitchen for cooking. Had a water tank and sink as well. GOAT were great and we rented kitchen equipment from them. They were really communicative and helpful. I hope I can take Max out in the future too

I’ve just bought a CamperKing St Tropez from them and they were so helpful and attentive throughout the whole process. Unfortunately, the battery charger failed soon after delivery (no fault of theirs) and it was replaced within 24 hours!! They are totally committed to ensuring the customer is happy and are themselves passionate about campervans, which is so refreshing especially when compared to some dealerships who just want the sale but are not interested in after sale customer care. Fantastic experience: Just back from a trip after hiring Diego - a VW Campervan - from GOAT Roadtrip. We had a great time using the vehicle - it had enough of everything we needed to make the overnight sleeps, cooking and general living in the vehicle a good time. Its not a large vehicle but the plus for us with that is that we could use the van all the time for getting out and about from various camp sites and we weren't burdened with the hassle of a long set up and packup whenever we wanted to continue the adventures by day trips out. Would recommend Goat to anyone wanting a good quality hire vehicle.

Fantastic experience: Hired the Retro VW camper (Santiago) recently for a trip down to the South Coast. First time i've ever taken a camper. Very professional in the office and explained everything clearly to me, including any extras such as early pick up charge. Camper was clean and well maintained. Everthing worked as it should and we had a really excellent time. Deposit returned in full quickly after the inspection on return. Highly recommended (very friendly) company and we will hire from them again.

Fantastic experience: Recently hired VW van for trip to Scotland with my son and my dog. Had a great time, feel goat trip was an awesome business. Great support, instructions, videos on van functions. Very professional outfit. Would definitely use and recommend again. Trip was brilliant (did a fair bit of planning up front).

Negative experience: Please be aware booking with this company. First of all we paid for early collection and the vehicle wasn’t ready, we paid for a yorkshire dales package however despite telling them we had someone in a wheelchair it wasn’t suitable and had to pay on to another campsite. The gentleman we supported was agitated and we had to book other accommodation so we wasnt using the motorhome to stay in. We didnt use the facilities as we were unable to get the shower working. 3 days in and the toilet was full even though we only used to pass urine as were staying on a new site that had everything we needed. The toilet tank was full and when emptying we realised due to what came out the toilet tank hadnt been emptied or checked, this left a small amount of urine in a tray that didnt go into the vehicle but was very displeasant to clean as it was the previous users bowel and urinary left overs. We emailed the company before returning however they decided to charge £100 fo the urine spill despite us haveing to clean someone elses feosces. They were rude. Expect to lose your £1500 deposit with this company as they were lovely to begin with but were very rude and arrogant and refused to pay the deposit back in hole. Thie gentleman we supported has spent his life with disabilities that has held him back and this company has exploited this even further. We will never use this company again

Fantastic experience: A dream fulfilled and another adventure ticked off our wish list. Owning a decent camper van is sadly beyond reach and so hiring one seemed like the next best thing. I was a little nervous about what it might entail but I needn't have been because the customer service from the ever helpful team at Goat, coupled with the online instructional videos, meant our every question was answered and any 'how to' concerns were readily addressed. A special mention to Juliet who was super helpful from the outset when I called in to initially explore things and throughout every step of the booking and hire process afterwards. We chose Alejandra as our home away from home and thoroughly enjoyed our time away in Northumberland. The dog loved it too! All in all a fantastic experience and many happy memories. We wouldn't hesitate in returning to Goat Roadtrip for a future adventure. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Simply an amazing company. We hired the Apollo for a week to head to the Scottish highlands in late Oct/early Nov. The vehicle was spotless when we picked it up and all the communication and support leading up to the hire was brilliant. The lease price for the week was very reasonable. The van comes equipped with lots of things you may need and the opportunity to hire essential items instead of having to purchase/bring your own. We hired the van as a test to see if this is the type of purchase we would like to make in the future, what a great way to test this style of camping out. We had a fantastic holiday, the van was spacious and comfy and incredibly reliable. All staff we interacted with were brilliant!! We will most certainly be returning to hire the VW crafter when that is available for our next adventure!! Thank you everyone at Goat Roadtrip!!

Fantastic experience: We hired Oscar Friday to Monday on the arrival of storm Babet! It didn't put us off and we took him to Cumbria where after a windy first night we woke up to beautiful skies and sun. the van was equipped with everything we needed and my husband was given a full briefing on collection. Oscar drives well (according to the hubby) and was economical. There was plenty of space inside and the bed was comfy. The van has usb charges and plug socket. Only thing that was missing was a mirror so I could get ready. We will definitely be returning customers and cannot fault anything about the service or the van.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous from start to finish. We took Max the adventure van round Cornwall for the week and now we’d like one of our own! Would definitely recomend the larger vans as there is so much room and we were able to go off grid all week. Will definitely be booking again in the future. Thanks again Georgia

Fantastic experience: Recently come back from doing the Scottish 500 using VW camper Atlantis. We used the automatic version found the MPG very good at 45.7 It performed beautifully on the steep passes of the Applecross peninsula, we found it unbelievably comfy. Highly recommend using Goat trip, all the staff we had dealings with were both courteous and very helpful as this was the first time we’ve ever used a camper van , My wife and I I both in our sixty’s we had no issues at all; the staff set the van up for us and off we went

I ordered it online, drove straight there and they had it ready to go on the car. They gave me a demo, talked me through the ins and outs and had a good chat about all things camped vans. Fantastic experience: We have used GOAT Roadtrip twice now to hire VW camper and. 2 years ago we had Lorenzo for 2 weeks around Devon and Cornwall and this year 2 weeks in Francisco. Both vans excellent, clean well maintained and great in built facilities. Customer service excellent and staff friendly. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for Campervan hire! 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience booking through GOAT Roadtrip. We hired the Atlantis for four nights and it was awesome for a couple with two children on the road and at campsites. A small issue with the heating/hob was calmly and quickly dealt with and a sufficient alternative provided. Correspondence with the team beforehand, at pick-up, and after the trip, was all very good.

Fantastic experience: We took Marcelo away for a week in Wales and had a great time. We used GOAT Roadtrip after another company cancelled our booking, so it was a great relief to have booked through somewhere reliable and professional. The van was excellent, the service very good and we would definitely used again. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I hired a swamper camper from Goat for the weekend and had a great experience.The pre-hire video and information pack was informative and and that helped prepare us for the trip. The people at Goat were lovely to deal with and everything was explained to us up front in a comprehensive, kind, and helpful manner.The camper itself was in a superb condition with all the mod cons you would need for a comfortable and adventurous road trip and it was lovely to drive. I look forward to hiring from Goat again in the not too distant future.

Fantastic experience: Had a great short break in Lars, first time in campervan, van was really clean on pick up and a pleasure to drive, everything worked well in the kitchen area. All the staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful, looking forward to planning another trip :)

Negative experience: I would not and will not be recommending this company to anybody after experiencing their horrendous customer service! We had to pay a £750 security deposit which would be returned when the vehicle was returned. Prior to dropping camper van off we followed all procedures for cleaning down and filling up the van. The company then took over a week to return the security deposit and said they would be deducting a £250 cleaning fee because there was a little bit of mud on the carpet. A camper van is used for camping so I believe mud is to be expected however I do not understand what cleaning service would charge £250 to clean a 1mx1m carpet. I feel it is absolutely fair to say we were taken advantage of as a group of young girls which is disgusting. I would advise anyone looking to use this company to please take the 1 star reviews seriously as we should have done!

Negative experience: Lovely camper van. However really disappointed in the fact we put down £750 deposit and they took £250 because there was some mud in the carpet! bearing in mind we did go to a muddy festival. They also took over a week to send the remaining money which led to me being behind on bills.

Fantastic experience: We had a great adventure in Alfonso! Somerset, Devon and Cornwall all in 5days, the size helps with the narrow roads of Cornwall and Devon, Staff great and help with any questions. Widemouth Bay and Weston-Supermare.

Fantastic experience: Me my girlfriend and our dog rented “Elsa” for our trip to the highlands. Really good service from the team. Helped with all my questions as it was my first time renting a camper. The vehicle was well looked after and drove beautifully. The dog loved it too.

Had everything we needs, spotlessly clean and everything worked exactly as it should Had a great time on Dartmoor - and its totally manoeuvrable down those narrow high walled lanes Plenty of power for the long motorway trip home - and basically I set cruise control at Exeter and took it off when I got to Leeds Cant say anything about the GOAT staff other than they were fantastic, encouraging and very friendly looking forward to our next trip

Fantastic experience: Our hire from GOAT was our first time in a campervan and we had an amazing road trip in 'Santiago', a tastefully-converted VW T6. The team were very helpful and very understanding when a tailgate strut broke off causing some damage to the vehicle. I wouldn't hesitate to hire from them again.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic week on our trip to North Yorkshire and Northumbria. The motor home was great! It was really comfortable and so well equipped. It was our first motor home experience and there were four of us sharing. We were slightly hesitant at first about trying this type of holiday but we were all so impressed with the freedom it gave us to explore. There was plenty of room for us and we are all still friends ! GOAT road trip were fantastic. They supported us all the way from helping us to arrange the trip to giving us a really thorough explanation of all the features of the motor home. They even left us a welcome pack! We couldn't have been happier with the service and we would definitely recommend !

Fantastic experience: We booked the campervan roadtrip and had a fabulous week touring in Anastasia to the amazing Isle of Skye and back. Everything went very smoothly, the handover was explained along with accompanying video guides ensuring that we, as campervan newbies new exactly how to manage the van systems. The 4 campsites were booked for us in advance and each was different with good amenities and even better views! We will definitely be hiring again with GOAT for another adventure

Fantastic experience: I booked Austin the Jeep(with tent box) for few days. I have been looking to get such combo in the UK for so long and finally found this place which I believe is the only one in the UK that offers you this car! so I was very lucky with this in the first place. but secondly dealing with Mark and the GOAT team was even better than my first luck! everything went very smooth.they were so accommodating and nice. they even suggested us some other areas to explore. so overall it was one the best experiences Ive had. I thank you guys dearly for creating this experience for me and my partner.

Fantastic experience: I took out an Adventure Van to the Yorkshire Dales for the weekend and it was great! Its a simple design which has a very comfortable bed, sofa, full kitchen (enough to actually cook real meals) and even a very cleverly designed shower system that pops up from under the seat with hot water. The power system is impressive and its clearly design to live off-grid all of the time. We saved money by staying for free at pub car parks so overall a bargain weekend.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing road trip doing the North Coast 500 in Scotland on my own! GOAT road trip also helped me by planning my route for me and booking my campsites in advance sometimes for 2 nights to give me enough time to explore the area during the day. I was very comfortable in the van and the heating system was excellent too. How to use everything was explained to me beforehand with videos as back up to look back on if I needed to. I would thoroughly recommend GOAT road trip and would feel happy using them again in the future.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this company!! Hired a camper van for 1 week in Oct ‘22. The van was supplied with a missing water tank stop valve, which prevented the van retaining water in its storage tank. We did not realise until 1 day into our holiday. We notified company, but the offered little solution. But charged us for replacing the valve when we returned. Also mid-holiday, the navigation screen developed a fault, that prevented us for using it. It was determined by VW technicians that it was not damaged but a technical fault. GOAT Travel were going to charge us £1000 for a new console, but they could not provide evidence that we were at fault, but insisted that we pay £100 for their inconvenience. Do not hire from this company!

It has everything you'd need for a very comfortable trip and is great to drive. Everything was high-spec and the handover went very smoothly. Fantastic experience: Rented Apollo (Luxe campervan) for a 3 night break in the Lake District near Keswick. GoatRoadTrip arranged the campsite booking, taking all the stress and hassle out of it. Every member of the team that i dealt with was polite and really helpful. The VW camper van was fantastic, and even better than expected. Allowed my son and I to focus on a road trip, and to prepare for a day exploring Keswick, followed by a day walking up Helvellyn via Striding edge.

Fantastic experience: Highly accommodating and friendly service from the team at Goat Roadtrip. The motor home was immaculate and a great adventure for a family of 4. Sadly the weather wasn’t brilliant but we stayed warm and dry by night and saw so much by day. On one particularly wet rainy days we stayed in playing board games. The kitchen was really well kitted out for everything from a cooked breakfast to a lazy pizza night. We’ve made some lovely family memories! Thank you to the whole team at Goat Roadtrip.

Fantastic experience: This was the first time I’ve rented a camper van - I borrowed the lovely Astrid for a short trip up north - and I honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. The van was in great condition, and the whole process from booking, to learning my way around the van, to the pick up and return, was completely smooth and easy. The staff at GOAT Roadtrip are really laid back, friendly and helpful, and I’m really pleased that I booked with them. It definitely won’t be the last time!

Fantastic experience: This is my first time in a campervan and I couldn't be more satisfied and amazed by the service and product GOAT Roadtrip has provided. The entire process from the booking, the handover to the return of the vehicle was stress free and incredibly smooth. We rented a VW from their swamper range (Elsa). The vehicle was in excellent condition! The interior was spotless clean and the vehicle drove like a dream. All the equipment needed for the trip was provided, worked exactly how it should, and never once did I want for anything on my trip. We took Elsa to Scotland in the middle of winter and I brought snow socks in case of emergency but we never had to use it. I cannot stress on how much I would recommend GOAT Roadtrip to anyone who is looking for an off the grid adventure with all the comforts of your own home.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic 3 night break. Picked Jason(motor home) up from Leeds and was shown around it first by a very helpful member of team then we was on our way. Three nights with different scenery each night areal home from home everything in there you could possibly want, from full heating to a usable shower. On returning to depot was met by same member of staff who was polite and helpful showing up around the vw campers which will be our next hire from Goat road trip.

Fantastic experience: A fabulous holiday in a Goat Roadtrip Campervan. The four of us (2 adults and 2 children) fitted in the van comfortably even managing to work out logistics of storing car seats when beds were made etc. Great cupboard storage, especially under the rib bed. The fridge and hob were useful and the hot water inside were very welcomed for use in the sink - it made washing up nice and easy when it was pouring with rain outside to get to the campsite sinks! The extra cost of hiring the kitchen set made it all very easy for the sake of £20. Only advice would be if hiring car seats, double check sizes and availability as they didn’t have enough of the correct size for us on the day. However they are planning on investing in more car seats. A great Campervan experience - we’d happily rent from these guys again but loved it so much we may end up buying our own!

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I just came back from our trip to the west coast of Scotland and it was amazing. I had a great time visiting the Isle of Skye thanks to all the features of the van (Atlantis). Atlantis has everything you need to travel comfortably. We cooked EVERY meal in the van and had the bests comfy nights in its bed.

Fantastic experience: Goat Roadtrip were fantastic with our first camper van roadtrip. I was worried about getting a camper mainly due to my height being 6' 5", but Goat Roadtrip were very good in allowing me to test driving ahead of booking a camper. The service they have provided has been great, the documents they send, the information and videos they provide is fantastic. we did a weekend trip in Atlantis - Luxe camper over to Morecambe and Ulverston, with the girls enjoying everything that the camper offered. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to look at giving a campervan or motorhome a try.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I rented Austin for the bank holiday weekend to explore the Dales. Everyone at Goat was fantastic, booking, uploading documents and paying was all easily done online. Amy kept us constantly updated and answered any questions we had right away. Collection was smooth thanks to Terry, he walked us around Austin and all the equipment included, made sure we were comfortable with how it all worked. We will be booking again soon for a longer trip! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: From our first introduction to GOAT Roadtrip to handing the Campervan back after our week away, the experience was 5 star! Before booking our first trip we visited their site in Leeds and had a look around a campervan and talked about what we wanted to do. GOAT Roadtrip took care of everything! When we picked up the campervan it was immaculate and each site we stayed at was superb with great facilities and locations! We can't wait to book another week and can't recommend GOAT Roadtrip highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Please change pictures around google and other websites. My experience with GoatRoadTrip is very positive. Unfortunately when I looked up Leeds site it was very unpromising against all the good feedback I read around. They where very professional and the motor home was ready to roll except a dead light bulb what they changed immediately. They are not fussing about and in a next two days after my holiday I got my deposit back even it was a bank holiday. I would definitely recommend them and I look forward to look at one of the trip they recommend on they website. Thank you guys

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the vehicle (we had Alfonzo) and the efficiency of the team. Pick up was easy, the van was spotless, and a pleasure to drive and use. The video instructions were great, and at the end, drop off and deposit return quick and straightforward. We had a great time in the Outer Hebrides and some if NC500. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience start to finish! It was our first experience of a camper van trip and we were a tad “last minute Larry” with the booking after initially planning on using the car and camping, so we only booked a few weeks before our trip. These lovely folk made the booking process super easy, the website was having “a moment” when we first enquired but a quick phone call and it was all sorted. Van was ready on our arrival at bang on the pick up time, 3pm (it was a different van to initial booking due to a previous late return but exactly the same spec) - quick trip home to load the camper and get our lovely dog Shadow on board and by 4pm we were heading North. By 10pm that evening we were well over the Scottish border and parked up by Loch Lubhair for the night. Setting up the beds took literally minutes and it was fab being able to just grab the bacon from the onboard fridge and cook breakfast without all the usual camping hassle of finding the cool box and camping stove! We had a fantastic week meeting up with family on Isle of Skye and then exploring the Highlands and Glencoe. The van was absolutely immaculate, had all the space we needed (two of us and a very large German Shepherd- and we had our 6 yr old grandson in with us a couple of nights as well and all had a comfy nights sleep) - well equipped with a decent fridge, even a little freezer box, a two ring cooker. We found it a super smooth ride as well even over the tiny single track roads on Skye. We had the lovely Lars and we are very much missing him already! All in all an amazing experience - cannot thank you all enough for making it a super easy stress free experience. Planning our next trip for June next year, unless I can persuade the other half that October sounds good? Would fully recommend the experience and using the lovely folk at Goat Road Trip to get you sorted. Thank you so much- we will be back. Simon and Lisa (and Shadow- who literally had to be carried out of the van as he refused to vacate!)

Fantastic experience: Just (reluctantly!) handed back the keys to Francisco after the most amazing week in the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye. Toseef and Amy dealt with the booking and my queries quickly and efficiently and their assistance meant I could keep the trip a surprise for my boyfriends 30th until the minute we pulled up to pick up Francisco. We will most definitely be back, thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: I booked a roadtrip for a week through GOAT this summer and I was highly impressed with how fantastic the whole holiday was from start to finish. Goat's service was impeccable and they helped me with any questions I had about the van. The vans are beautifully furnished and it was perfect for my family of 4! The GOAT team are extremely friendly and clearly their customer service is a high priority. Thank you so much for such a fun and easy holiday! We will go with some friends next summer for sure!

Fantastic experience: Great staff. Great vans. It's the 1st time we ve had a campervan and it wont be the last. We had a wonderful 4 nights, the van was just what we needed. Stayed in Derbyshire but next time we have a bigger van and travel further for longer. The world is our oyster But must remember to take slip on shoes because its get to be a pain unfastening boots everytime you get back in the van. But you learn something new everyday The van was sparkling inside and out and the team were happy to answer the silly questions with a smile on their faces..Thanks . We are already looking at dates for next year.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a week in Astrid doing the North Coast 500. This is the second year we have rented a van and have absolutely loved it both times. Great service, easy to get in contact with, amazing vans in great condition with everything you need. We loved Astrid and the yellow interior and we had such a great time on our trip. Would recommend this company to anyone!

Fantastic experience: GOAT's service was second to none! Amy literally couldn't have done anything more to make our trip awesome. We had such a fantastic time in the company of Apollo. What a boy! He looks stylish and is equipped with everything you could need plus drives lovely. i put him to the test around some decent bends in the lakes and handled them all with ease. I would recommend if you don't camp often, hire the utensil pack which comes in a cool bag as this has every cooking appliance you will need with plates cutlery etc. We already cant wait for our Next Goat roadtrip...Yes we have booked it already!

Fantastic experience: This was our second summer booking with GOAT Roadtrip. Great service and very friendly team. Both Amy and Terry dealt with all our queries very promptly. Had a great time in Northumberland/Scotland. We would definitely recommend to hire a van with an awning. We didn’t have one the first time but was great to have one this year.
