Fantastic experience: Stayed at bay many many times , without a doubt the ocean cove best house on here and now the ONLY one I would ever go to, bathrooms amazing and very light and spacious

Positive experience: Great little place with plenty of room. A couple of niggles I wish I was aware off :- - TV reception was non existent and smart hub on tv wanted a Samsung Account details to log in. Wasn’t sure about that but we took a firestick and downloaded a few tv apps so was ok to chill out on an evening with that. - Heating for the upstairs landing and bedrooms was turned off - November! If I had brought some pliers with me I might have been able to turn it on. - One of the towels provided was stained. These were minor issues for us and I would definitely recommend and once aware of tv and heating you can plan ahead for next time (just in case).

Positive experience: Good communication above what was needed but helpful. We arrived 45 mins early and with change of clocks went in not realizing it had not been cleaned. So left it and came back for the 4pm. Looked perfect and cleaned. However on closer inspection some things I would have expected . No mattress protectors on children’s beds noticed as half on bed sheet at corners. Had a hunt round and found protectors under beds. So had to strip the bunk and the single to put these on, which was not what I wanted to do on arrival. The boiler for water seems to run constantly on which means you will lay in bed listening to it. Then kids couldn’t do anything with TVs upstairs lacking batteries or instructions. Then the hive controller turned off….batteries!!!! again. Had to call for some to be dropped in via anchor app and to be fair came promptly and were very politely late on an evening. We love the area, and the site which we have stayed on many times. So we had good holiday vibes despite the lowered expectation on arrival with the beds. Oh and the toilet lock fell out on door. Shame there wasn’t more attention to detail with the quick clean and bed prep. The mattresses were stained and could do with replacing as the top bunk was lumpy. Not sure we would stay in the same cottage again. I can see The Filey House previous review not happy with standards so that is a not so great review again for same property. Yes could have complained whilst there but who wants to do that on your hols. It’s just a standard on mattress protectors with number of guests coming and going surely.

Fantastic experience: I came across Anchor Bay Holidays on Facebook and found a break at The Bay, Filey - where I had been before - lovely place. I booked for 4 nights in November - really good price. A few weeks later, I had to either change or cancel the booking, for a medical reason. I contacted ABH and Anthony couldn't have been more helpful or nice. We agreed to move the date back one week and he sorted out the admin, including changing the cancellation insurance, without any hassle. What great service! Just got back from a really nice few days, in spite of the winter storm. Won't hesitate to contact ABH next time

Fantastic experience: We always enjoy our holidays at The Bay This time we stayed at a Beach house and whilst it was very comfortable we found that it wasn’t as clean as other properties we have stayed in and some consumables were insufficient We always bring basics however we didn’t expect to have to buy toilet paper , hand wash and kitchen roll Other than it was fine

Fantastic experience: Well we've been twice to the gorgeous Wren Cottage this year what can we say? We love it, we love The Bay, it's perfect for a quiet family Holiday., even our little dog loved it. Everything you need is in the cottage, it's spotlessly clean, DVDs, books and board games are all there for the family, beds are comfortable, although the bunk bed is a little wobbly, but thats a small gripe, we really can hardly fault it. We also can't fault Anthony at ABH, he responds so fast to any problems, issues are sorted quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to book through ABH again, fabulous service. Excellent !!!

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic 4 nights at Britannia House with family and grandchildren. Everything we needed was there. Loved the downstairs open plan layout perfect for cooking while the children played. The location was very convenient just a stroll to the pool, gym, arcade, pub and shop. The beach was also a short walk which we did several times. We would definitely recommend for families, large groups wanting facilities on the doorstep and a home from home.

Fantastic experience: We couldn’t have asked for more! After looking for a half term break abroad or in this country we came across Len’s Lookout. We arrived to an absolutely stunning house to spend some well deserved quality family time and got that and more. The location of the house is incredible with beautiful sea views and a short walk to a beautiful, vast beach. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and very homely with a stunning master bedroom. Our trip was priceless and we will definitely be returning! We were a little surprised on arrival that the house was surrounded with scaffolding but that was taken down after a few days. We would have also loved to further enjoy the stunning sunrises on the balcony but unfortunately the upstairs bifold would not open. However, neither of these things spoiled our trip or staying in this lovely house! Thank you for letting us stay!

Emails kept us fully informed of access and departure times as well as codes for entry to the property and directions to the Bay. Would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: This apartment lived up to our expectations it was clean and tidy and everything was nice,we couldn't really fault it at all,apart from there was no TV in the bedroom. Fridge,cooker,microwave, kettle, coffee maker,nice heating,never used the dishwasher or the washing machine. It was slightly larger than our last visit accommodation but still nice and well set out.We will go back again ASAP Thank you to the owners.

Fantastic experience: Our family had a wonderful stay at East Bay Cottage. The house was immaculately clean and tidy and a real home from home. Everything was there that we would have needed. Lovely walk to the beach and along into Filey. We drank in the John Paul Jones a couple of times, which was pleasant. We celebrated my Birthday on our weekend stay, which was lovely to have all my family accommodated. Thank you Anchor Bay Holidays.

Fantastic experience: Lovely house, very homely and equipped for everything we needed. Stayed in several properties at The Bay but this one stands out.

Positive experience: Great location and loads of information prior to visit.. However property was a bit of a let down. Arrived to dining room floor covered in food debris, pots and pans still had food on them, TV only works through apps as signal breaks up. Bed was too soft and uncomfortable. Bedding clean but ripped. Huge cobwebs everywhere. Toilet was dirty. Just lacks a bit of TLC which was acknowledged by response saying it was getting a freshen up. Note to all you MUST report issues as you’ll not really get anywhere after you’ve left. Also my digital guidebook stipulated times we were allowed to contact for help (not 24 hours) We left a day early - our choice not looking for any refund. Maybe some people happy with bed and TV through apps but just being honest how we felt about the property. We’ve stayed in three other properties in this site before and they were all fabulous

Fantastic experience: We have visited the Bay a few times now, and have always enjoyed our stay. We use the facilities and the food in the pub is lovely. A nice swim and sauna, and a leisurely walk or bike ride into Filey . We can recommend it and we'll be coming again soon.

Negative experience: We stayed in this property last year and it was perfect so we rebooked so disappointed in 2 of the bedrooms the mattresses were terrible lumpy spring had gone no recliner’s they were broken dirty and tied bedding all discoloured windows filthy it’s such a shame because it a lovely property won’t book again

Positive experience: This was a lovely first floor apartment. The bedroom was roomy and the bed was super comfortable. There were a few things that were disappointing , there was no instructions for the washer/dryer and although we used the washing machine we had to hang all the clothes on radiators which blocked heat in apartment especially when it was minus 6 and you couldn't turn heating past 22 or you could lose your bond of £150. There were lots of rules about using the apartment and you were asked to clean everything including washing bench tops down. There were lots of bulbs out in the main lamp. Cobwebs in the bathroom fan and dirty clothes in the wardrobe. The most annoying thing was the 2 chairs in the sitting room had tears in and the rules said nothing to worry about. It made the place look scruffy and not looked after properly. Seats were very uncomfortable. There was also chewing gum on one of the eating bowls, which I tried to clean. Main rug was dirty.

Fantastic experience: We loved TyNy House at The Bay. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach with the dogs. The house had everything we needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Bed and bedding comfortable and plenty of room for us (2 adults and 2 dogs). Couldn’t fault it. The only suggestion I could give is a safety gate for the bottom of the stairs to stop the four paws attempting to go upstairs as we left them in the hallway overnight (there was a safety gate but we couldn’t get it to fit the stairs so we had to prop it up - it worked fine for our dogs but wouldn’t stop them if they really wanted to go up). Thanks for a great visit we wouldn’t hesitate in booking again.

The house was beautifully decorated, very comfy and ideally equipped. It's location near to all the facilities was great. Just a short walk to the beach. Fantastic experience: We’ve just returned from a wonderful short break at The Bay in Filey and had such a great time. We stayed in Pebble Cottage, which was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Fantastic experience: A welcome stay with families of different ages. The cottage was adequate and well layed out, there was adequate cutlery, crockery and pans in kitchen. Sofas and bed’s comfortable. The gym was good just a shame it didn’t open earlier! We would come back again

Fantastic experience: We stayed at The Bay in Shell Cottage. The cottage itself was wonderful with everything a family would need. It was clean, nicely decorated and very cosy and comfy. The use of the pool was great for my children and we enjoyed walking through the meadows at the back of the cottages and to this beach. It’s a great location for visits into Filey, Scarborough, Flamborough and Bridlington. We are sad to be leaving such a lovely holiday where great memories have been made but would definitely return.

Positive experience: The flat itself was clean and tidy except for some mens underwear and other bits in the bedside cabinet which was a shock to find, in the bathroom the bath taps had the wrong symbols on them that could be very dangerous The person who was letting the property was very abrupt when we couldn't find the flat we asked if he would come and help us, he made out that we were thick but we just couldn't find it. He did show up eventually but we had a little girl who was getting tired

Fantastic experience: Had a great 5day stay at Ransdale cottage .the cottage was fantastic could not fault it had everything we needed the bedrooms were very spacious and king size comfortable beds the 2 bathrooms with large walk in showers the kitchen and living area had everything need would not hesitate to recommend it.give it a go you will love it location was great for the beach and town centre and bus stop on the door step if you want to travel further

Fantastic experience: We travelled from Scotland for a 5 day stay for a family of 4 adults and 5 grandchildren (all under age of 14). Grounds are well maintained and a pleasure to walk around. We stayed in Echo beach a great size property overlooking a park which was excellent for children ti be safe under eyes of adults from garden. House is spacious and well appointed with all your needs. A top 1 priority for us cleanliness and we were happy the property was clean. We had a little welcome pack with few tea bags, sponge for dishes, dishwasher tablet, coffee with salt etc. My daughters arranged a delivery of food shopping an hour after check in. Good showers and good quality towels. From previous reviews owners have taken onboard and delivered for example: dust pan and brush, bins for toiletries in bathrooms. It’s good when guests recommendations are addressed (within reason)! We had washing detergent and had our clothes dried on two driers outside in lovely weather. Very handy. All slept comfortably. Two air fryers (make sure you close the drawer properly to start). I thought initially it wasn’t working, it is. Weather was so nice we went lovely walk to beach Echo Beach is ideally located for access to beach, pool, bar, shop and leisure facilities. My daughter used EV charger just a ten minute walk. We visited North Scarborough Water Park a real treat and booked laser gun target in Primrose Valley (2 minutes by car). Filey town we had fish teas and walk along promenade but at 7pm all was closed. We used dishwasher to return dishes and crockery as we had found them. Brushed up floors. Left all towels and tea towels in bundle for cleaning staff. We appreciated the house (a home from home) therefore to leave as you found is only respectful. We left some cleaning cloths we bought ice poles for next family and bin bag always handy for new arrivals. We would definitely return to Echo beach house. Owners look after their guests for a great staycation

Positive experience: Hi we stayed at Monty's Maison for 4 four night. The Cottage was lovely, clean and well equipped. The only minor fault we found it was lacking a vacuum cleaner. With days on the beach there is a lot of sand a vacuum would make cleaning up a lot simpler. Overall though we had a great time and would definitely return.

Fantastic experience: We stayed in seascape apartment which was excellent everything you wanted was there in ideal position for everything on site lovely walk into Hunmanby along the beach my little dog loved it Anthony is so helpful any problems immediately sorted would definitely us the apartment again thanks.

Negative experience: Sunrise view was okay but not worth the cost. Looks tranquil from the pictures but every Tom, Dick and Harry walk past the patio. Downstairs shower even a cat couldn't swing a mouse in it. Cleanliness was something lacking with items from previous guests left under chairs and sofas. Master bedroom is spacious but the elephant sleeping in the bed left an indentation in the mattress. Furniture is old and tired. Anthony was very welcoming and helpful when booking the holiday however 3 days later accused us of taking the leisure pass. It was and probably still is, on the coat hook where we found it. Thankfully we had good weather and put a shining light on the holiday.

Fantastic experience: I cannot commend the communication and customer service from Anchor Bay, first class 100%. Every little bit of detail in their emails helps you plan your stay. The accommodation at Admirals Cottage was absolutely spot on just what we exoected. One little technical fault with a light fitting was rectified within the hour! We will be using ABH again and can't recommend that enough!

Fantastic experience: What a love place to stay! We stayed at meadowside appt. First floor. It's small clean and cozy. We stayed at this appt in May and liked it so booked it again. There's everything you need in there to make sure your stay is enjoyable. A lovely walk in the meadow. The walk to the beach is further but great views of the sea with seats to rest and enjoy. The beach is vast and clean you can walk on way into filey or the other way towards Bempton. A lovely stay.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time at The Bay for 2 nights at the end of halfterm. The apartment was well appointed, well equipped and very clean. The location is fantastic any we spent a lot of time on the beach as the weather was good. Our only slight criticism is that there was only the pub open for eating and drinking and was therefore very busy. The staff were very good though. It would be nice to have had a different choice of eatery but it appeared the other restaurant was closed.

Fantastic experience: Lovely house with a great layout and everything that we needed for an enlarged family weekend. Only complaint, the kitchen / diner/ lounge is so large that my legs ache walking from one end to the other !

Fantastic experience: We've visited many self catering premises over the years, but the moment we walked into Cosy Retreat, we knew it was special. Many self catering owners use cheap or good-enough furniture and textiles, but ABH had the best throughout. Beautiful and tasteful. We contacted Anthony regarding an issue, ( not the owner's fault) and he responded promptly and sorted it out. We hope to try one of the other premises before the end of the summer. I would highly recommend ABHolidays

The welcome pack, amenities, service, leisure pass, 4 nights for the price of 3, were all a real bonus for us. We love it here and will definitely be returning. It’s so much better for squeezing little getaways in), and the service and communication flawless from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Great holiday with Anchor Bay Holidays Filey at Low lake Lodge (again!) . Anthony and his team are always so helpful and friendly and the lodge is always so clean It’s in such a great position with enclosed decking so my little dog Arthur can have a bit of safe outside space. Lots of space to make it a second home - Beach always so clean and dog friendly. We always seem to get mainly good weather - Think we have been 6 times now (5 at low lake And once at one of the houses with the glass balconies- which I love but the lake view is stunning . Really is a home from home and very relaxing. Wish I could spend more time there - be back soon !!

Fantastic experience: Perfect location, just a stones throw from the beach, park and facilities. The house was ideal for 10 of us, plenty big enough. We had the best week making lots of family memories.

Positive experience: Really enjoyed our stay at the Puffin Lodge. Everything there to make our own meals. So close to the beach and boys loved the in door swimming pool. Was too busy in the pool for the days we were there for me to go in for a swim with them though. But boys enjoyed thrashing around! Kids enjoyed the arcade and we enjoyed being in the whole area. Bonus it was good weather weekend!

Fantastic experience: Wow what a beautiful place Admiral Cottage was. The place was spotless and provided us with everything we needed. The beds were so comfy. Positive experience: The property location was excellent. The decorations were good. The rooms were comfortable The heating was not effective in the bedrooms and bathrooms as the thermostat is at the top of the stairs. The views were great and the balcony would have been great had the weather been better. Being Dog friendly was helpful. There was plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. the site had plenty of facilities.

Fantastic experience: I stayed in Arthur’s Escape for 4 nights on 3 March 2025 and I had such an amazing stay. The apartment is so beautiful, very peaceful but near to the Bay’s facilities, very comfy bed, fabulous very large tv in the lounge, modern furniture and fittings. I would definitely recommend! I will be going again soon! ❤️

Fantastic experience: The Puffin pad was absolutely immaculate, a beautifully presented one bedroomed apartment with everything we needed for our 5 night break. We will be booking again hopefully this year and would recommend this fabulous apartment. Ideally located too for a short stroll onto the beach or food and drinks in the local pub. Fantastic experience: Accommodation was as advertised on a tidy, and quiet (was term time) purpose built holiday village. Good amenities and the access to the beach perfect. Anthony answered queries quickly, ensuring personal and polite service. Would recommend and will be returning.

Fantastic experience: Great accommodation in one of the best locations at the Bay Close to amenities and the beach path. The house was to a great standard and had a fantastic stay. My only point would be more Cuttery and plates as some have gone missing but only a minor point. Overall would stay here again!
