Fantastic experience: I was really apprehensive at first when we realised we could buy a group visa and thought it seemed too good to be true but 5 star were brilliant. There were no trips to London or Manchester to sort individual visas and the cost was so much cheaper. No problems at either airport, just make sure you go through passport control together. We sent off for ours 3 weeks before, they gave us updates throughout. Absolutely fantastic and saved so much hassle. Would definitely recommend and would use again!

Fantastic experience: We booked visas and transfers for 3 different locations with them. The transfer in Shanghai we especially good, as no-one at the train station spoke English, but he guided us right through and on to the train - we would have been stuck without him! Beijing station was chaos and took a while for our driver to find us, but he did not leave without us, and dont feel that is a reflection of 5 star China Travel. Visa process was fast and easy, would use them again.

I have been using Chinese Visa 5 Star for over six years following a very positive recommendation from another business traveller friend (who again had heard from word-of mouth recommendations). In early years, I had 1 year visas through the company but in recent times this has moved to 2 year visas. When I am in London, I call into the office to process the forms on each application and the staff are always very efficient, welcoming and polite. Subsequently this has been by phone and post and I have always received the same completely efficient and reliable service. Positive experience: Can't fault this company, organised my visas, my travel arrangements, attractions and accommodation, everything was fantastic especially our guides while we were in China. Constructive comment, when so much travelling is undertaken by car I would recommend a larger type SUV vehicle rather than a saloon car, but would I recommend this company, most definitely.

Negative experience: Called from overseas, advised the service I required, could tell agent wasn't listening. He then proceeded to walk away from the phone and have a coversation colleague about something else while leave me listening paying international call charges. Eventually just gave up and rang another company.

I can't begin to tell you the efforts they have been going to to help me through often very tortuous processes of trying to get visas over several years. They are 100% trustworthy, reliable and communicative and have given over and above help and wonderful service. The reason I chose them eight years ago was because they replied to my first enquiry within a few minutes. They have continued to provide this kind of service ever since. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for them...particularly David and Susan...and I certainly would not hesitate to recommend them...whether it is for visas or for travel arrangements. Fantastic experience: Visa service was excellent - although it arrived only 3 days before we flew - it was a relief not to have to send our passports away. The only time that they questioned the paper visa was ironically at Manchester airport (fortunately there was a Chinese official on hand to confirm) and at Beijing airport and again, someone was there to confirm the visa's authenticity. Regarding the 10 day tour that we booked through 5 Star: I can ONLY extend our sincerest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone at 5 Star China. They were prompt in answering my endless questions before we even booked the tour. The transfers from the airports, hotels and train stations were on time, friendly and welcoming – someone was there on hand to greet us at every destination- excellent customer service!!!! The taxi’s that collected us to take us to Beijing train station and again to Shanghai train station were ever so helpful – they went and collected our train tickets and showed us all where to go. The guides: Roma in Beijing; Phoenix in Xian and Lilly and Rita in Shanghai were wonderful – again, on time, welcoming and also very accommodating as we changed some of the sights to see on the last day. They were all very friendly, knowledgeable, answered all our questions and basically put up with all our antics and behaviour. The included lunches were all excellent, gave us all the opportunity to try many dishes. The hotels were perfect – especially the Grand Park in Xian which was opposite the South Gate and the Riverview in Shanghai which was a 5 minute walk to the Bund, plus we could see the lights from the hotel window – perfectly chosen!! We had an amazing time - all thanks to 5 Star and I would not hesitate to either use them again or recommend them to others.

Fantastic experience: Great service in providing us with a Group Visa for 2 for China, our trip with this type of visa went really smoothly on our entry and exit to the country, 3 internal flights and 3 hotels. Only one official had not seen that type of Visa before but his colleague quickly put him right, make sure you have copies and do not let them keep the original until you are leaving the country. Fantastic experience: Reporting back as promised with my experience of a group Visa from 5 Star China. Firstly 5 Start China were very professional throughout the process of applying for the Visa, kept me informed and also the requirements for the Visa changed very close to the last minute in that you needed to send photocopies of every page in your passport with a visa stamp on them but they gave me plenty of notice about this. The Visa arrived a week before I flew which was absolutely fine. Using the Visa was pretty stress free. At initial check-in at Heathrow they first searched for a Visa stamp in the passport and obviously didn't find one so I handed over the group Visa. Save yourself some hassle and pass it over with your passports :) Getting into China was no issue whatsoever, the guy processing us had obviously seen plenty of group visas before. Getting out, the guy had never seen a group visa before and after a minute of chatting with his neighbouring officer he processed it no problem. Don't forget to make a photocopy of the group visa as they keep a copy when you enter china. I would recommend using this Visa if you can as it is so much cheaper, but obviously if you are going for longer than 2 weeks or you plan to visit China again in the next 2 years then go for the regular visa.

Fantastic experience: I applied for a group visa at the beginning of May as advised. Jenny dealt with our application. There were many emails sent back and forth as Jenny collected all of the information needed from the embassy. The correspondence was quick, and Jenny was professional and efficient, however it would have been helpful if I could have spoken to her in person at times, but there is no direct line to this department. Upon presenting all of the documents to the embassy two of the applicants in the group were refused a group visa due to employment issues and unfortunately had to pay a much higher fee for individual visas, 5 star advised them and sent links for the necessary application forms, I was issued a refund for the refusal. We were regularly given updates of all the applications and I am happy to say that we have all received the visas this morning. Applying for a visa to China is a complex and lengthy process and therefore I can highly recommend Chinese Visa 5 Star for their services, we can now look forward to our holiday in just over a week's time!

Fantastic experience: I have used 5 Star China for a group visa. From start to finish, the service has been of the highest standards. Communication at every stage of the process meant I knew exactly what was happening. If you apply for a group visa, remember that it is issued in China and sent to the UK. I was a little apprehensive about timescales as the visa application is only processed 2 weeks before arrival in China. I was totally reassured by Jenny through constant updates, and true to her advice, our visa was issued on Wednesday and available for me to collect from their London office on the Friday, a full 8 days before we travel to China. Fantastic experience: 5 Star China Travel were helpful in obtaining a reasonably priced group visa for the two us - where we did everything on line and did not need to travel to London or send off our passports. You need nerves of steel because it comes very last minute from Beijing but is couriered to you. Also the airlines and hotels are not used to this separate visa which is not stuck in your passport - so sometimes they query it. Overall a very helpful and cost efficient service
