Fantastic experience: The Staff here are always helpful and extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. We always go in store to book our holidays.
Fantastic experience: Blown away by an amazing experience from the team today! We booked Disney and the virgin team at merry hill said they could arrange a “reveal” for letting the kids know. We went in today and Letty had prepared a wonderful VIP table for the kids with drinks and treats, boarding cards and goody bags. After they got over the surprise, she took her time to show them the hotel, the parks, the plane and then explain loads of great tips. Dani and Torrs also joined in, raising the excitement to the next level. It was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to start the holiday. We’d also previously had great experiences planning and discussing our holiday options with Letty over the phone and via email, and nothing has been too much trouble. Cannot fault a thing! Thanks for making it such a special day Virgin Merry Hill!
Positive experience: Booked a holiday to Orlando with Abi (Manchester based but working at Merryhill that day to help out). Very knowledgeable about all things Disney and helped us get the best deal possible. Having phoned the store afterwards, found the male member of staff that answered not so helpful and returned back to Abi by email to amend my booking. She was always patient and willing to help. 5 stars for Abi but only giving 4 stars because of the phone call.
Negative experience: Be very careful booking a holiday at Merry Hill. We booked a holiday for our 50th birthday celebrations to the Royalton Antigua with Victoria. Victoria was very helpful and showed us what hotel room we would be getting (a junior luxury suite bay view) at the resort. We only agreed to book it due to the size of the room with 2 double beds and a fold down sofa bed. Paid nearly £7k. All good until we arrived at the resort to find a small room, overlooking air condition8ng units with 1 double bed and a fold down chair with a mattress about a cm think. Our lad could feel the bars through to his back. Following long discussions with the reception manager nothing could get done due to the resort being fully booked and being told this is what you booked !! To put simply, we were totally miss sold the room at an extortionate price for what we are currently in. We contacted Merry Hill who have now passed the book to the in resort team. They are now saying they are doing everything they can to sort the issue and move us to another room but all depends on availability. How can it depend on availability when we have been given a totally different room to what we have booked. Absolute disgrace and so far ruined our holiday. I look forward to full explanation from Victoria and the management at Merry Hill on our return from this holiday. Be aware people
Fantastic experience: My Daughter and I went to Merry Hill store to book a holiday to the Maldives. We were greeted by Nicole, what a lovely lady. She listened to what we wanted and also what we didn't want! She showed us lots of resorts until we found one that was perfect for us. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was very patient answering all our many questions, if she didn't know the answer she either asked another member of staff or googled it for us. When we went back to get our tickets she was once again very helpful, we even booked a short break to New York with her while we were there. Her knowledge of New York is amazing as was her customer service. I know we will be going back to see Nicole as the service we received from her was exceptional.
Fantastic experience: Connor in the shop was very helpful on Thursday on us helping move our holiday date a day back after another store accidently moved the holiday a day forward, he was very kind and patient with us making sure the holiday was what we wanted and couldn’t give him a better rating as he was great!
Negative experience: Booked holiday with them, decided to bid for a seat upgrade. I won the bid but I had already upgraded my seat in the first place. This means the first upgrade should have been refunded. I have still not been refunded. The staff in the store won’t help. I have rang for the refund but say we don’t refund this fee even though staff have said I should have this. I won’t be booking with this company again as I feel let down by their service. Be careful booking with virgin guys.

Negative experience: Came past this shop two months ago with my 8 year daughter and 3 and half year daughter showing them the Disney holidays cause they had the Mickey and Minnie plush’s out advertising what they do best and was disgusted to be given a funny look has I looked in, so not professional when you meant to be selling a business not just to their customers but for people like me with a family wanting to book a Disney holiday sometime in the future, we’ll certainly won’t be booking here after that. I’m sure some of the staff are friendly and work hard making dreams come true but just that one lady and I always give good feedback back on places has I have good experiences. Hope nobody else has to put up with that

Fantastic experience: Yet again excellent service. Went in today and the two girls were very busy but Sophie came over to manage our expectation on waiting times. Once we sat down with her (and no doubt totally confused her as we didn't really know what we wanted) she asked lots of questions and then came up with a short list. We told her what we liked and not only did she research on line but rand a customer who had previously travelled after booking with her and gave us a great review and advise on what to do and where. Her tolerance is commendable as we were there for ages! We have since emailed to ask for a few tweaks and in no time she has emailed the new details over - nothing has been too much trouble. Virgin she's a great ambassador for your company!
