Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. After reading all the zero stars reviews it is clear me and many others have been scammed by these guys. Our flight was cancelled on the way back to the UK and they purposely didn't bother to inform us. This resulted in us having to pay for new flights costing £800 and they stopped responding to us when we asked for a refund for these. Absolutely shameless.

Fantastic experience: Amir Islam was able to process, deliver and collect my passport from the Saudi embassy very quickly for the Umrah visa. If it wasn’t for Amir, we would not have been able to make the flight and go for Umrah. Amir was also very professional and courteous and I would recommend his visa services to anyone considering.

Fantastic experience: I’m very pleased to provide this review due to our exceptionally positive experience re my family’s umrah package in the blessed month of Ramadan. Brother Ijaz was my first point of contact and helped tailored the package to our requirements with a few adjustments at a short notice. Brother Ijaz was able to prepare the package that included arranging top quality all inclusive flights, E visa, accommodation and transportation. I’m so pleased to say that the package had no nasty surprises and it was better than what we had expected. Accommodations were clean and people were extremely helpful, food and room service were excellent both in Makkah and Madina. The transport services were very punctual, friendly and helpful drivers. My only criticism is to keep the customer updated of development/ delays, otherwise no issues. In my opinion the whole credit goes to brother Ijaz for his help in putting together a very good package in a short time. Well done to Ijaz and his team.

We book Umrah on the 15th Feb 2025 for 12 days with Alhijaz my whole family and kids it was All inclusive 2 days in Istanbul 6days in Mecca 4days in Madinah with full Transport and Zayaraat. Negative experience: I recently returned from my first Umrah trip, which I booked through this agency, and I wish I had seen the warning signs earlier. Initially, they booked hotels that seemed excellent on paper, but upon arriving in Makkah, I discovered the hotel was an hour away from the Haram. This meant I had to rely on taxis back and forth, which was both costly and frustrating—especially since they had promised accommodations within walking distance. The issues didn't stop there. In Madinah, I was nearly left stranded. The agency had booked a hotel for me but failed to confirm the reservation. Despite repeatedly calling for assistance, my agent, Affan, kept giving me vague responses and taking me in circles. As this was my first Umrah, the uncertainty and lack of clear communication were extremely stressful. Eventually, I called the agency again and spoke to Irfan, who promised to resolve the issue—but the process was delayed further. I had to check out of my Makkah hotel without any confirmation of where I would stay in Madinah. With no clear guidance, I booked the train and hoped for the best. Upon arriving in Madinah, I called the agency again to express my frustration—after all, I had paid for a complete package, and it was their responsibility to confirm the accommodations beforehand. Eventually, they sent me a location to head to, promising I would be accommodated. However, when I arrived, the hotel they provided was far below the standard I had paid for. Despite being charged for a four-star hotel, I was given a one-star accommodation that barely met basic expectations. This agency filled what should have been a spiritual and peaceful journey with anxiety and frustration. Their communication was poor, and once I had made the payment, Brother Affan's attitude changed noticeably—making it clear that he was more interested in securing my payment than ensuring a smooth experience. When I attempted to escalate the issue by asking for a manager, I was repeatedly put on hold until the call disconnected. Given my experience, I deeply regret booking with this agency and would not choose them again. I advise others to proceed with caution and ensure every detail is confirmed in writing before making any payment.

Fantastic experience: We went to Umrah in February which we booked with Al Hijaz Travel with brother Irfan, who gave us a very good deal straight away, our hotels were changed but which worked in our favour, both Makkah and madinah were very close and very good hotels. We had a beautiful experience thanks to brother Irfan would highly recommended, we received excellent service and brother Irfan was very prompt in all his dealings. Will inshallah book again with Al Hijaz Travel.

My travel agent "Hafiz Affan" booked my umrah trip he went out of his way to help in every situation to make our trip easy and smooth. He went above and beyond and responded back straight away when we had a question and any issues I had were sorted promptly I would really much recommend this company for anyone looking to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah or Hajj. May Allah swt reward "Hafiz Affan" for his efforts with our umrah journey as it was out first time with 2 children and it went smoothly and we enjoyed every single moment and will be Definitely booking again with hijaz travel.

Negative experience: Al Hijaz Travel provided did not refund my 1500 pound yet, from Last year when i booked my HAJJ, as i did not get accepted to go HAJJ, still waiting for my refund...

I cant thank Muhammed Omar enough for his service from start to finish, he was great, answered all questions without hesitation, nothing was too much trouble for him. Gave several options for hotel, flights for our Umrah trip in Jan/Feb 2025 Got the visa very quick. Emailed all paperwork promptly. Kept us upto date with info and received reminder messages for flights and hotel booking messages via text, so we had it to hand when checking in. Great service 10/10. I had contacted Al Hijaz travels via what’s app from their website and i put through to brother Hafiz Ali he was brilliant gave a good deal on both hotels I even had a Ka’ba view. He had helped me from start to finish very good customer service

Fantastic experience: Muhammad Ali went over and beyond to ensure my Umrah trip would be the best it could. He really took the time to listen to my requirements and offered flights/hotels that met my needs. He always kept me informed and sent over documents when he said he would. I recieved everything in a timely manner without the need to chase. I had no issues with my flights or hotels and everything went smoothly. Muhammad Ali also checked in with me during my trip to ensure everything was OK which was a really lovely touch and also upon my return. I highly recommend this travel agent and especially Muhammad Ali who is an excellent agent.

Fantastic experience: This was our first umrah trip and I'm so glad I booked with AlHijaz Travels. The personal service offered by brother Ijaz @AlHijazTravels was fantastic, right from package options like flights, hotels, payments and transport. I had looked at other online agencies but AlHijaz Travels came out on top for me. 1. I was initially looking for a 4-star package but due to elderly family members I needed hotels that were close to the Haram therefore, I went with their 5-star package with Anjum Hotel in Makkah and Maden Hotel in Madinah. Both the hotels were excellent and a 5 minute walk to the Masjid-al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabawi. Location, Rooms, Service, Breakfast were all very good. See attached photos/videos for details. 2. Brother Ijaz provided a flawless package, even kindly adding extra family members to my booking and updating the invoices as needed. We spent five nights in Makkah and five in Madinah, experiencing Jumuah in both holy cities. It was truly the best experience, with everything working out perfectly, Alhamdulillah. 3. Transport (Airport pickup/drops, ziarat and Makkah to Madinah) was well organised once I understood the transport company message you on Whatsapp and provide you the driver details and their Whatsapp number. Make sure you get that information before you travel to Saudi so you can let them know about Airport pickup before you arrive. Also, give them 24 hours notice before your local trips in Saudi. 4. You should do your own research with hotels, location and proximity to Haram that will make it easy for you when agreeing a package with AlHijaz travels. They will work with you if you are clear with your requirements. Also, check the flight booking carefully especially the timings and stopover duration. If any concerns you should let them know straight away as flights are tricky to change once booked! 5. I had a couple of feedback comments to AlHijaz travels regarding communication via Whatsapp from Saudi to UK i.e. when you're in Saudi and you want to get in touch with them. They have accepted my feedback and will ensure the changes are made to make our experience seamless in future. To summarise, Alhamdulillah, our first Umrah with AlHijaz Travels was an amazing experience! Brother Ijaz provided outstanding personal service, helping us choose the perfect 5-star package with hotels close to the Harams. Everything was excellent - flights, accommodation, transport, and the ziarat. Inshallah, I will be booking with them again in the future either Umrah or Hajj!

Negative experience: I had very bad experiences whith AlHijaz, agreed Umrah packages in October made two payments when time was yo make my last payment early December they told me that they didn't book the flights. You all can imagine the disappointment as it took me 10 days to agree to at list get my money back as I couldn't get to my agent Hijaz lie after lie they are the only people I never in my life want to do business with. Shame on all of them. When I told this to another company Haj@ Umrah in Hounslow they still took me there with wonderful package Ekrem Maliq

Negative experience: I am currently on Umrah with this company. We departed on 18th December and, insha’Allah, plan to return on the 30th. Positives: Generally responsive during the initial booking process. Knowledgeable about the logistics and formalities of the trip. Negatives: 1. Hotel Quality: The hotels offered were, in hindsight, of poor quality. Many had substandard reviews on Google, and upon reflection, it feels like cost-cutting measures were taken to maximise profits. Despite expressing dissatisfaction with the hotel options early on, I felt pressured to accept them due to having already committed to the package and the company’s insistence that the accommodations were good. About a week before travel, they abruptly changed the hotels, despite having earlier reassured me that my booking was secure. This was extremely frustrating, as I had only ever requested proximity to the Haram and breakfast included in the package—criteria the original hotels met. 2. Makkah Hotel (Palestine Hotel): This replacement hotel did not include breakfast as promised. When I asked about it, I was told it would cost an additional 30 Riyals per person per day for our group of 10—a significant unplanned expense. The hotel was also much farther from the Haram than described, situated at the far end of Ibrahim Khalil Road. Navigating this distance with a wheelchair for my elderly mother was very difficult. If walking is a concern, I strongly urge others to reconsider staying here. 3. Madinah Hotel (Safwat Al-Madina): Upon arrival in Madinah, the hotel had no record of our booking, leaving us sitting in the lobby with 14 large suitcases for over 30 minutes while the issue was sorted. We were eventually given three rooms across two floors (11th and 12th)—highly inconvenient given the slow lift service and completely unsuitable for my elderly mother. The rooms were tiny (see picture), lacked basic amenities (e.g., a shower curtain), had used toiletries (see picture), and had a strong smell of fresh varnish, which is particularly problematic for asthmatics. Also screws sticking out of the door which were dangerous and ripped my wife's sleeve (pic attached). Breakfast was also not included, despite earlier assurances, and dinner—which was originally part of the package—was omitted. On 28th Dec 2024 at 10.30am we were told that we were being checked out and all our stuff will be removed from the room by 1pm and left in the lobby. Upon speaking to reception they laughed in my face. A young lad with an American accent said it's "not his problem" as the agent booked until 28th. 4. Broken Promises: I suspect, though cannot confirm, that my original hotel bookings may have been transferred to other customers for financial gain. Many promises made to me turned out to be empty, including assurances that if I was dissatisfied with the hotel, they would arrange for us to stay in five-star accommodation close to the Haram as compensation. This never happened, and I am now being ignored by the company. Despite incurring significant personal expenses due to these changes, including paying for breakfasts and dinners, I have not been reimbursed a single penny. 5. Visa Issues: The company provided the cheaper e-Visa, which is a visitor visa rather than an Umrah visa, meaning it does not include medical insurance. This was not explained to me during the booking process. I had to pay an additional £148 for proper insurance, as I was travelling with individuals who have long-term medical conditions. 6. Since I put this review up yesterday, I've had no contact at all from the company despite multiple WhatsApp messages - so it looks like I will be paying out of pocket for madina ziyarats too. Additional Notes: The company operates under the name Times Travel Ltd but also trades as Hijaz Travel and, as I have now learnt, under numerous other names. It appears to be part of a larger group. They have been operating for a number of years and yet there are only 165 reviews - alarm bells i wish i had noticed earlier(!) Their website is https://www.alhijaztravel.com/

Fantastic experience: I recently returned from my Umrah 1st Dec to 11th Dec. Everything was perfect ! Hotels in both locations were close to Masjid. The transport service were 5 star, spacious cars etc. No issue with flights or Visa either. My Umrah was a stress free experience and that's what you want for this kind of trip. Fantastic experience: I was looking for Umrah package on Google, and I found Al hijaz Travel and Tour. I called them ..Their agent Muhammad Omar spoke to me. I went with my daughter to Madinah and Makkah. Very good services, very good hotels, very good breakfast, everything was very good . Stayed in constant contact with me and got everything on time. I felt very safe as I was traveling alone with my daughter. Very good travel and tour. Must go with them on Umrah. Very reasonable with 5 stars hotels and comfortable transport .. Negative experience: It recently travel with this company it’s really very horrible and worst experience with this company they didn’t provide services which I paid them they didn’t pick the phone I gave him two thousand ponds for two person including visa tickets and hotels and transportation that day we travel they call me we could not get your wife visa so u pay extra 90 pounds then we apply again visa that time I paid him but I already give him two thousand ponds I have written proof then why he charge extra 90 ponds and second I paid him breakfast including in my hotel stay but in madina we didn’t get breakfast we paid for breakfast when I call this company he said to me breakfast including but hotel manager said your company didn’t pay for breakfast while I paid this company for breakfast When we reached madina there was no booking that hotel who provide me that company he send me boccus reservation the manager said no booking here I faced to much headache and tension with this company I also talk to high authorities in sudia arabia is well and here is well I upload the written agreement one thousand each person then why they charge extra 90 ponds and u can see breakfast is included but we didn’t get

Fantastic experience: I booked umrah package with hijaz travels for my family of 4. Brother hafiz affan was so helpful from the day we started booking for our package till we came back from umrah. Whilst we were in saudia they were in contact with us, asking how everything was going. our Ziyarat was also included in the package. Our drivers were sent to us at our hotels on time for umrah and ziyarat. Everything went really alhamdulillah. Hafiz affan and his team helped with our enquiries really quickly whilst we were there, respnded to our messages really quickly. Umarah was amazing with al hijaz travels. I would highly recommend others to go with al hijaz travels.

Fantastic experience: We booked our first umrah with al-Hijaz, a quick response from the central team assigned Muhammad Omer as person that assist us. He is a gem and instrumental to our unforgettable and wonderful first umrah. Omer responds to our queries timely and efficiently and do not mind adjust and re-adjust the umrah package until it suits what we want and need. Word of caution travellers need to confirm the details so check carefully and do own research whether the hotel offered, suit your preference. Both of our hotel were 4stars but the experience is very different. We love our Makkah hotel, though bit far, it has plenty shuttle bus and we don't mind the 20-25mins walk to the Harram when we didn't fancy taking the shuttle. The Madinah Hotel is bit let down but we only stay for couple of nights and it situated 2mins walk from Masjid Al-Nabawi so it actually work well for us. Omer arrange full ground transport in Saudi and free Ziarats to important places both in Makkah and Madinah. All drivers are reliable and knowledgeable. You may read a lots of reviews of travel agent that ghost you after deposit/full payment. That was not the experience with al-Hijaz, Omer has kindly remind us about our flights, our airport transfers and confirmation of hotel check ins. Thank you Alhijaz and Omer for the smooth arrangements on our umrah. I have recommends Omer and alhijaz to friends that are looking into doing umrah in near future.

We booked as a group of 9 and everything was done smoothly. Muhammad Omer kept in touch throughout the booking process, while we were away and even when we landed back to the UK. Negative experience: THIEVES!!!!! These people are liars. The steal peoples money. They told us only agent can apply for visa. Then they said visa will be rejected. I was able to get evisa myself in 20 minutes. The provided wrong information and now they don’t want to refund the money. I have now contacted the bank and they will report them as scam and get my money back.

I found this company and called for information, I spoke Mr Muhammad Ali , what a fantastic person ! Fantastic experience: Usama from Al Hijaz Travel was amazing. We needed visas for Saudi Arabia. Usama was knowledgeable, efficient and prompt with answering all my questions and actually processing our visa requests. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my travel needs to the Middle East.

Negative experience: Scammers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Took £185 from me, provided wrong information that visa isn't possible while I applied myself and got it instantly. Now Refusing to refund the money and not responding.

Fantastic experience: We booked our 1st umrah with Al Hijaz travels. Brother Tousif was so helpful and efficient, our Ziyarat was also included in the package. Our drivers were sent to us at our hotels on time for umrah and ziyarat. Everything went smooth. If i had any issue i would contact Al Hijaz and they would respond immediately. Fantastic experience: We went on umrah for the first time as a family of 4 with Al Hijaz Travel. They gave us a very good package and found dates that suited us as a family. The flight to jeddah got cancelled, however Hafiz Ali arranged a flight straight to Madinah and from there arranged a taxi to take us to Makkah. The driver was happy to take us to visit masjid al nabawi before leaving to makkah. The check in to all our hotels were smooth and the rooms were perfect with great service. Communication was fast and efficient whilst in England and in Saudi. As it was our first Umrah, we had a Umrah guide who could speak both English and Urdu and was very helpful. Ziyarat in both Makkah and Madinah was included and the transport was great. Thank you so much Hafiz Ali and thank you Al Hijaz Travel for the best package. I really recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: As per last review of service and booking we had no issue was fab service. The overall package was in our budget and we knew that we are going for some budget hotels and aware that nothing is 100% perfect our tour was 8 days wish i had booked more but was on budget.... Flights had no issue transfer service really good communication and on time very helpful people.swiss taba hotel madina its a nice hotel but very small narrow rooms clean and helpfull staff breakfast is basic tea omelette toast bread etc its close by madina nawbi masjid 400m walk near gate 320.the transfer for madina to makkah was really good service.in makkah the hotel was el ebba hotel and was really nice no issues all good staff its aprox 15mins walk if ur a slow walker. The walk towards the haram is a little uphill.breakfast was nice but they dont do toast facilties.the transfer to makkah to jeddah airport was again top service.overall very happy and next time if i book will book 5star hotels. Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service provided. Paid a small deposit which was told was refundable however when requesting a refund, my messages were being ignored and I was constantly being told that my refund was in process. This is in the duration of 3 weeks. Was initially happy with the service however now I am very disappointed with the service. Will not be using them in the future and advise anyone against using them

Negative experience: Stay away from this people. They lie about your package Look for any opportunity to put the price up. Their website says book with £100 deposit but don’t fool for that. As soon as you pay the deposit They don’t bother to answer your call or text anymore. I had to cancel my booking for Family emergency, they refused to pay my deposit back even though it says on there policies I am allowed to get 50% deposit back. Thieves stay away from this scammers.

Negative experience: They are scammers. Tried to book ummrah Yasir did nothing for me and ask for £100 to be paid to Times Travel as deposit. Chased many times and i now want my £100 back if not I wll go to Times Travel first if no joy will go to ATOL

Fantastic experience: I was dealing with agent called Irfan he gave me a really good deal family of 4 on my umrah trip. Hilton hotel in makkah which was literally few seconds away from haram. In madinah also frontel al harithia which again just few seconds away from haram both 5 star with breakfast it was very convenient with children

Negative experience: Poor Customer service. Would not even give 1 star Irfan never available. Been waiting for a refund and not received, was told 14 days been longer still not received they keep saying definitively get it, definitely get it, but not yet received. Very disappointed. Untrustworthy company. Please be cautious and don't book over the phone!!!!!!

Negative experience: Poor experience with company. Has been a big struggle to get a refund even though at the time they were more than happy to provide a refund. Still waiting and worried that won’t receive it. On phone making excuses have sent an email waiting a response then may need to report to the Police. Would not recommend, which is unfortunate as I went by reviews to book initially.

Fantastic experience: I feel like I need to write a review on this travel agency.. firstly I have to admit a lot was last minute with regards to hotels and visa. But in all I can not fault the service they provided for my family of 8 which included children and elderly. Everything that was promised was delivered! Hilmind who was the staff dealing with our package delivered on everything! From leaving Uk to Istanbul the transfer hotels everything was perfect. Istanbul to madina 100% perfect. Madina to Mecca the transport was spot on, our return from Jedda back up Uk was hassle free. So in all we thank hijaz travel and your staff both in Uk and in Saudi for the amazing service.

I have chosen everything of my choice with great price. My hotel services was spot on in makkah and medina, transportation were good and kept intouch with me at all time for pick up and drop off. I cannot fault al hijaz as I didn't face any difficulties MASHALLAH. TOUSIF also kept intouch with me in both makkah and medina via whatsapp to makesure everything was going well. Positive experience: We booked our umrah with Al Hijaz and dealt with brother Saad. I have to say he was fantastic from start to finish. There were 13 of us altogether, and trying to arrange everything according to everyone was difficult as we had elderly and children, but Saad took it in his stride. Saad sorted out wheelchair for the elderly which is one less thing to worry about. They offered a very good package for myself and the family and at a very reasonable price. The transport from the airports to the hotel was also included, which was fantastic. The reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 stars was for the following reasons: I paid extra for the ziarats, which was not something I would do again as it was not worth it. This is because the driver in Makkah was rushing us around and did not give us ample time for the ziarats he just wanted to go quickly and not only that he didn't even take us to 2 of the sites which were listed. When I asked him, he said he was tired as he has been up since early morning and had a headache. This was unacceptable. The driver in Madinah was the complete opposite he was really good and gave us ample time and then took us to a dates market aswel, which was not part of the ziarats. Secondly, issue which was out of Saads control was the hotel in Madinah which was supposed to be Emaar Mekhtan but on the day I was told they had overbooked so they "upgraded" us to Emaar Elite with Harem views. This hotel was closer and did have better views of the Harem, but it definitely was not an upgrade as it looked a lot inferior to the one we had originally booked. Having said that, it was still a good hotel. Overall, Al Hijaz delivered on the most important things, and Saad was always there to help if any issues arose while in Saudi. Bar, those few problems, everything else was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Al Hijaz and would definitely use them again.

Fantastic experience: Al Hijaz Travel provided excellent service to me and my family. They offered great 5* umrah packages for affordable prices. Hotel were very close to both masjid al Haram and masjid al nabawi. We originally booked to go to makkah but the family decided we will go to madina first. Which meant it was a big hassle for brother Saad to change the hotels and transport honestly he did a excellent job at changing things and arranging everything for me and my family. I can't thank him enough for everything he did best experience of my life and he made everything so smooth. Specially when my mum can't walk and she uses her wheelchair to get every where. The hotel in madina was so close less then 1 minute walk easy for me to take my mum and makkah was same we had shuttle bus available 24/7. Brother Saad was very helpful, answered all my Questions. I would highly recommend Brother Saad he is brilliant at what he does and will definitely inshAllah rebook with them when Allah calls us again.

Positive experience: Customer service needs a bit of work for when I needed help the communication was horrible from nabeel everything seemed like it got done last minute but he did manage to help as much as he could, other than that the umrah was a success. All in all nabeel was decent and got the job done at the end.

There was one instance where the flights had changed and I notified her, rather than being notified by her, so I'm not sure what happened there. The package was great, including airport pick up’s, ziyarats in Mecca and Medina and decent hotels in both cities. I travelled for Umrah in October, and my family was genuinely surprised at the cost, which was very affordable. I highly recommend using Al-Hijaz. Sofia’s communication was excellent over WhatsApp throughout the booking process and even after that. She was able to handle any queries I raised in a confident and re-assuring manner.

Hotel was good as it was walking distance from harm and Pakistani food was easily available from the street. Madina hotel was also on walking distance. We really had a memorable journey.
