Fantastic experience: “Excellent Service and Brilliant Holiday” Have just returned from a two week holiday to Sunbeach Hotel in The Gambia - 4th to 21st November 2023. This is our second time booking with The Gambian Experience and second time at this hotel. Excellent service when booking, staff very knowledgeable, easy to discuss things with, nothing is a problem. Titan Airways were superb, suggest upgrading to Star Class which provides additional and welcoming benefits. Checking in at both Gatwick and Banjul were faultless and ran smoothly. Yes Sunbeach Hotel could do with a coat of paint and a bit of TLC but the staff are brilliant and go the extra mile to ensure things are ok with guests. Food very good, sea view room brilliant. Beach was superb. Must mention individual staff: Yolland, especially, and other staff worked very hard serving drinks etc on the beach. Mohammed who sorted sunbeds etc daily on the beach was first class. Would definitely recommend this company and hotel and we will return again no problem. Nigel and Sharon, Bournemouth, England

Negative experience: Have booked flights to Gambia many times with Gambia Experience/Titan and although expensive have rated them highly. On my last flight home I became unwell after eating the in-flight snack ie cheese and tomato panini, at the time I didn't query the UNSEALED wrapping But now realise that it was the source of my week long food poisoning which has been debilitating to say the least. NO MORE PANINIS FOR ME

Negative experience: AVOID AVOID AVOID. Absolutely awful experience with this company. No corporate responsibility taken about the rubbish produced or around their properties. NOT INTERESTED. You will be filling the pockets of the company at the expense of the environment of the country. PLASTIC EVERYWHERE AND LEFT UNCHECKED. Second and last time with this company. First experience should have made me realise they take NO corporate responsibility for their footprint on what was a beautiful country. It looks like a rubbish tip if you walk outside of your 4/5 star complex. If you look closer inside of the complex it also looks like a rubbish tip. Their answer is to dump the rubbish in the sea.

Positive experience: Providing direct flights to Gambia. I was expecting Gambian staff, or thereabouts. There were some things I wanted to know about the actual country. Nevertheless, polite staff. Quotes are emailed to you directly.

Fantastic experience: We took a holiday in February this year to Kombo beach hotel. We booked the holiday through Gambia Experience. The service was absolutely second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the Gambia Experience team. I have never experienced such exemplary service and will definitely be booking our next holiday through this tour company.
Fantastic experience: We booked through TUI to spend 3 weeks in Gambia in Jan/Feb 2022 but found the TUI rep in-resort unhelpful. However without the expert help of the Gambia Experience rep (Karamo) at Holiday Beach Club we would still be completing our Passenger Locator Forms! He went above and beyond to help us, even though we hadn't booked through Gambia Experience. Special recognition must go to Karamo for his pleasant, unstinting help to us in our hour of need over a couple of days. He is a credit to your Company!

Negative experience: my partner and i called the gambia experience last week , we spoke to Shauni(female operator)she slammed the phone down on us , this is the customer service this comany provides , i hope people take notice of how rude and arrogant some of these staff members are and take there business elsewhere, and i hope the owners of this comany REMOVE this lady from her current position !
Hi Jon, I am sorry you found one of our sales agents to be rude as this is certainly not the service we strive for or in fact the usual feedback we receive. I am aware that the week in question we experienced some issues with the internet based telephone system we use, which crashed on a few occasions and I am sure this might be the reason for the lost call. Positive experience: We have visited The Gambia many times previously - We were desperate for sun in late February but didn't want to endure a long flight for a single week away.. Secured a fabulous deal on The African Princess Hotel and spent a heavenly week there. The only downside was that due to commitments we were only able to travel on a Wednesday - hence enduring the awful experience of Enterair -even a Ryanair flight from Stanstead is better! I have learnt my lesson and in future will only fly from Gatwick. Yes, The Gambia has become more expensive but still represents very good value. The service from The Gambia Experience is, in my opinion, exemplary..

Negative experience: Do not travel with The Gambia Experience!!! They you enter Air and that airline is terrible!! They said it's direct flight but it's not. We had to stop at Senegal for " refuelling " The total hours of he flight delay was 8hours and the staffs were so rude. It won't even offer us water to drink. We have to buy despite the fact that the flight flight was terribly delayed. Never again will I ever travel with this company
We’re very sorry that your flight experience was disrupted by the diversion to Senegal and subsequent delay. Unfortunately, there was recently a national shortage of aviation fuel in The Gambia which affected certain airlines, including Enter Air. We received very little warning about this and regrettably it is something which is outside of the airline’s control. Despite the stop, the flight is still classed as direct, as per the description within the aviation industry, because the flight number remains the same throughout the route. I’m sorry to hear you were not offered water during the delay and I appreciate this did not help matters overall. Once again, our apologies for the inconvenience caused and I would reassure you these circumstances are rare.

Negative experience: MY “ Gambian experience”... African princess hotel. The hotels security is terrible, locals wander through from reception to the beach ,they regularly let non resident locals hold parties in dining room ,who then meander back through grounds late at night. half of the Hotel is in the shade all day ( not so bad if you want to pay all that money to sit in the shade) .The swim up pools are not properly maintained,as our pool area was like a BUG graveyard because the pool filtration system isn’t working properly. ....we came back to our room one evening, on approaching there was a local African asleep ,curled up on sun lounger. Otherwise the weather was great..
Negative experience: Will never fly with this company again. Enterair are the worst airline ever. Delayed for hours both ways. Given ridiculous excuses. I paid almost a thousand pounds for this so called direct flight but had to stop off at other airports. My friend's paid much less for stop off flights and got there faster than me
Hi Judith, We are sorry that you feel this way. Our flights from Manchester are direct but due to a shortage of aviation fuel in The Gambia, it has been necessary for the aircraft to make a short refuelling stop.

Negative experience: Booked in Nov 2019 for a flight departing Jan 2020 Two days before departure no e-ticket , now been sent a letter to chase after some handling company for my ticked If I had paid £200 that’s fine but paid £1500 expect better service Mickey Mouse leave well alone !
Positive experience: Since Thomas Cook went into administration, travelling to Gambia become a little hard and expensive. I booked a return ticket for my mum and siblings at a relatively cheaper price than other trusted airlines services. I am fairly content with the support I received and the communication process really pleasing. I think the baggage allowance limit is a bit restrictive. I am not entirely sure what why or maybe it's just a way of complying the the flight max allowed capacity, however alternative options to buy additional baggae kilos will be fantastic.
Negative experience: staff ok but the Polish airline ENTAIR is ATROCIOUS. Refuse to pay compensation for 30 hour delay. Deny receiving registered mail, use attrition tactics to deter complaints and claims. Never again with this outfit while they use this airline.

Negative experience: Very poor service. 1 hour in sierra leone stopover with no air conditioning, 1.5 hour plane delay in london. We will complain after holiday. I do not recomend.

Positive experience: When it is titan airline they are really good the only thing I don't like is when enter air are flying with GE because they are the worst!!! Although Gambia experience are brilliant the only down fall is enter air!!!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from these amazing people! We booked flight-only from LGW to Banjul on 19 April 2019, returning 26 April 2019. All went well, but on the return flight, the aircraft suffered a bird strike just after take-off, leaving the windscreen badly cracked. Captain and crew remained totally calm, the pilot immediately levelled off, deciding that we could not continue to altitude with this damage. We were kept calmly and cheerfully informed as the flight circled for some time to burn off fuel so as to reduce weight for a safe landing. Cabin crew were delightful and helpful throughout. We landed safely in Banjul, and were very quickly transported in a fleet of coaches, to the Senegambia Hotel. Despite the addition of around 200 surprise guests at almost no notice, the hotel coped admirably. The quickly and efficiently allocated rooms to everyone, helped with luggage, etc. We were given printed details of what to expect, and this included dinner in the restaurant (buffet-style), and breakfast the following morning. The rooms were lovely. In the morning, we received more printed details informing us that we should check out by 11.00 am, and would be picked up again in coaches at 12.00, to return to the airport. This all happened without fuss or delay. We were given water for the journey to the airport, then fast-tracked through check-in and security. Our replacement plane arrived on time, and we departed just 10 minutes later than the advertised time, arriving promptly in LGW after a smooth and uneventful journey. I should add that all of the above was Free Of Charge. Every member of staff on the Gambia Experience team, as well as in the hotel and the airport, was pleasant, helpful and friendly. This could have been a bad experience, but they turned it into a really pleasant one! Thanks to all concerned.

Fantastic experience: Just come back from a trip to The Gambia and Senegal, booked through the Gambia Experience. Can not fault them, felt very well looked after, no pressure selling, Reps were very helpful, and seemed very well organised. The greeting explained the charity work they did, but with an emphasis that by booking the holiday we had already donated, they didn't ask for any donations or try any tactics to make us donate anything, just thanked us for booking through them. An issue with the ferry on the last day meant we had to change plans and travel back from Sengal early. We were given use of a day room in another resort while we waited. Thanks for a great holiday.

Negative experience: Booked in September 17 to travel in December 17 had to cancel due to dad dying. Gambia Experience kept my £95 deposit. Very disappointing. No stars from me!
