Fantastic experience: We have stayed at Enotel Lido for the past 6 years. It never disappoints. The hotel and bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

Fantastic experience: Great time in Malta. January is fine too enjoy yourselves. Avg 16..20 % The dB San Antonio Hotel is perfect, great entertainment, fantastic atmosphere and food of the highest quality with 3 different restaurants to choose from. We are both mid 70s bus depot 2 minutes walk. €2 gets you over the whole island. We would highly recommend Malta to anyone and with the offers Mercury holidays have on though out the whole year you just can't get a better deal. Love it

Positive experience: This one very good hotel, we stayed in January for 3 weeks and arranged with the hotel to renew our 50th wedding vows. I can only say the hotel staff are second to none, the location for us just perfect, the rooms are good and we will definitely stay again

Fantastic experience: A wonderful Mercury holiday experience from start to finish meaning first inital booking to coning back home after 3 glorious weeks at King Evelthon in Paphos. Transport was great and there waiting for you atvthe airport l. Hotel welcoming and room was large with a Seaview and balcony. Food was lovely buffet style with lots of fresh gorgeous dishes that catered for all tastes and entertainment was great. Staff are all customer focused going that extra mile and very friendly. Fantastic experience: Ten day holiday to Filitheyo Island Resort from 14 January 2025. Virgin direct flight from Heathrow and then sea plane to the island. The Mercury direct representative met us with instructions and greeting. All very efficient and professional. Hotel reps wisked us away on arrival to the sea plane booking in and after a short wait we were off to the island. On arrival at the island Filitheyo staff took us by boat from the sea plane arrival pontoon, to the island again extremely efficiently. Booking in for our superior bungalow was quick. The semi bungalow was great with outside bathroom and air-conditioning and large tv. It had its own sunbeds and private frontage leading to the beach. Staff looking after the rooms and beach areas were great, and everything was always immaculate. The restaurant and bars were very efficient and as we were all inclusive the drinks were equally comparable to any cruise ship we have been on. Staff were always waiting to get another drink and assist with anything. All in all a fantastic holiday and at a great price. A visit by my wife and myself after 23 years when we first visited another island. Would love to go again if funds permit and health.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous hotel, brilliant staff. A quality varied buffet with the included served restaurants on offer also really good. thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Described as Pafos when it is a number of kilometers away from the centre rather than in the general district. However there is a reasonable bus service and taxis on site. All organised tours know the hotel and pickup no problem. We tend not to go same place again, but may break the rule in this case, in fact we met a lot of people there repeatedly rebooking.

Fantastic experience: An excellent hotel, spotlessly clean, good sized rooms, comfortable lounge area, excellent bar area with very good evening entertainment. All the staff are very pleasant and go that extra bit to look after you, nothing is too much trouble for them. Fantastic experience: My husband and I were on holidays in Cyprus when my husband was taken ill and spent 5 days in hospital there, I'd just like to thank MyRo, the mercury rep in Larnaca for being there for me through a very difficult time. She contacted me and met with me several times making sure I was alright and told me not to worry about rearranging flights and extending our hotel stay, she would see to it all. She took all the worry out if a very stressful time. She deserves the five star rating for her dedication and help. The Mercury holiday at the Radisson beach resort was outstanding, made so much better by the warmth of all the staff there.

Positive experience: Just returned from a 17day holiday to Sri Lanka booked through Mercury holidays.We stayed at the Citrus hotel Hikkaduwa. From start to finish this was a great holiday ,Mercury pre information was all as described, the rep.was helpful without being too pushy, Citrus hotel although a little dated but the staff were all great so was the food and accommodation. Fantastic experience: If you have never visited Vietnam or cambodia this is a great experience. Not as full on tour as others described. The train journeys are very basic as others have described. The trains are basic but not much mercury can do about. I thoroughly enjoyed tour hotels and guides. Would book again with mercury based on this experience.

After a disappointing holiday, I submitted a complaint on 7 October—only to wait nearly a month just for an acknowledgment. Negative experience: Mercury Holidays have let us down again, during covid they made us wait 4 months for our deposit back, this time round we booked a River Cruise for 2025 which they cancelled within a month of the deposit -due to over booking on their part. Refused to let me speak to a manager to discuss this, Customer Care refused to answer 4/5 e-mails, so they are either incompetent, ignorant or both. Don't rely on Customer Service from this outfit. they don't have any!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Mercury Grand Tour of Japan If you are looking for an adventure which is fast moving and challenging then consider this amazing tour of Japan travelling north to south. You will see iconic temples, shrines exquisite architecture and visit the Peace Dome and museum created from WW2. There are internationally recognised sculptors in the Open Air sculpture Park and endless Picasso art indoors. Visit the snow monkey's beyond woodlands or wild deer in the national parks. The whole adventure is an artists or photographers dream. I highly recommend it but be prepared for walking in amazing settings. It’s a totally safe but fast moving country but tranquility is easily found.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic holiday booked with Mercury. Everything went smoothly from my arrival at Heathrow and the special assistance I had requested. On arrival in Sri Lanka my private transfer was waiting for me. The hotel, Royal Palms Beach Hotel was fabulous, the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are massive with sea views. I would definitely book through Mercury Holidays again and highly recommend them. And no single supplement .

Positive experience: We booked our two week holiday to Sri Lanka via Mercury Holidays and we could not fault the hotel nor the holiday it was truly a holiday of a lifetime. However our Mercury holiday rep who met us at the hotel was extremely pushy and pressured us into booking tours with him that were double the price of those being offered by the tour guides outside of the resort. Yes you should always be vigilant but that goes without saying even when you are in Spain. Being told that if you book tours with other companies they will rob and murder you is pure scaremongering , in fact it was the Mercury rep and his colleague that ripped us off duping us into spending over £200 on sarongs as we needed to cover up while visiting the temples. We arranged a meeting with our rep who refunded us the money immediately but not after we had signed his satisfaction questionnaire. We booked a further tour with a company just outside the hotel and this was fine , and half the price. Don't be fooled into their sales spiel when they meet you at the hotel , our advice is do your research before travelling and don't pay too much attention to what the rep says. We were a family of 4 and managed three excursions two of which we booked ourselves. Mr & Mrs Scarlett

Fantastic experience: Mercury Holidays are easy to book, they are a great company and arrange everything for you. We have been to Electra Palace Hotel,Rhodes in Greece 3 times now and are booked again for next year. This is an excellent Hotel and the staff are very good and helpful. The swimming pool is enormous, and although we did go in August with family this year the pool was not crowded despite it being in the school holidays.This Hotel has everything you could need.It is out of the way but, there is a shuttle bus costing €9 return to OldTown but you do need to book it. There is a €10 per night per room to pay when you arrive at the Hotel. There is a Greek Restaurant that you can access and also an Italian you can go to both once during your stay but you need to book these as they are very popular. The Hotel leads onto a private beach which is rather stoney but has sun loungers on it and there are Cabanas around the beach and pool areas. There is also a well stocked gift shop. We would recommend this Hotel for a great holiday.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful time at Pearle Beach Resort and Spa, Flic en Flac, Mauritius . Booked our holiday with Mercury Holidays and everything was taken care of including a wonderful sea view which was included in the price. We were met on arrival and in resort by Mercury reps. Fantastic experience: We searched many holiday companies for our return (after 9 years) to Mauritius. Mecury Holidays provided an excellent hotel, great flights (Emirates) at a fantastic price for 2 weeks all inclusive. On our tavel to the resort, Mercury Holiday reps were checking with us at every step. . The hotel was really great, small (64 rooms) and very welcoming. We even arranged with the hotel to renew our wedding vows. The staff were so lovely, they just wanted to ensure we had the best time. It was like a family - everyone had such a great time. Negative experience: Earlier this year a friend and I took a holiday to Brazil and Argentina. The holiday itself would have been amazing however, we were robbed at the first hotel Mercure Rio Boutique in Rio. Upon reporting the theft, which was very cleverly done, from the hotel safe within the room with only 2 notes of each currency taken together with a credit card, we were informed this never occurred No one had entered the room, the safe hadn't been tampered with furthermore we had no proof. The incident was reported to the local police and crime number obtained . On returning home I notified the company via customer service who were most unhelpful .I emailed a few times and eventually told I had no evidence and the hotel had investigated the incident. The matter closed.. What I'm trying to do is make other travellers aware that the use of hotel room safe is not a guarantee that your valuables are safe The rest of the holiday our possessions were with us 24/7 as we were so anxious This obviously spoilt our holiday as we couldn't relax being on guard the entirety of the holiday.

Positive experience: I did a tour to Uzbekistan with Mercury holidays. I must say the pre tour info was hard to get as it was difficult to get through by phone and when people said thry would get back to me, they never did. However the flight over, the tour itself and the guide and hotels were excellent. The guide was one of the best I have had and I have travelled a lit. Hotels were of a very good standard. Most of the food was included so it saved money and the food was all good. The flights were good although I orefer to be able to choose and pay for seats before the flight. Thsts the problem with group flight bookings. The tour was well paced with enough free time. The buses and drivers used were lovely and vlesn snd spacious. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip!!

Fantastic experience: Great hotel situated right on the beach. The hotel has recently gone to adults only as well as all inclusive. The staff really go out of their way to ensure you have a brilliant holiday. The meals are buffet style, but you can also book into one of the Al a carte restaurants for two meals for each week of your stay. Fantastic experience: First time in a Turkish hotel and very pleasantly surprised. We go to Dubai a couple of times a year and the Dobedan (it's no longer Alva Donna) matches the 5* hotels there. They gave us an upgrade to a side sea view room - definitely worth asking for. We could not fault the hotel in any way. Welcome pack - celebration cake, fruit and a bottle of wine on arrival. Mini bar stocked (free) every day. Good food - never eaten so much smoked salmon or strawberries. Room cleaned every day. Free Starbucks coffee. Heated indoor and outdoor pools, gym, sauna, steam room - all free. Outdoor pool never below 28 degrees (32 one day). The heat from the pool warms the surrounding air so it was usually 24- 26 degrees in March when the weather forecast said 19/20. Able to swim and sunbathe every day. Outdoor heating comes on 28 Feb - might be very different before this. Hotel is 45 mins taxi ride from airport and similar to Antalya centre - didn't bother us but might some. Did an overnight trip to Cappadocia - very cold in March. Thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Fantastic experience: We holidayed with Mercury at the AX Victoria Hotel in Valletta, Malta and could not fault the experience. Online booking and use of the customer portal was very easy, but when I had a query I got a response very quickly via the online customer contact form. The very reasonable price of our holiday included priority boarding with Ryanair and private transfer both ways :it was very easy to find the duvet at the airport and he had a good quality vehicle. The hotel was perfect for our requirements, being well located, friendly and clean with good facilities. Fantastic experience: We have stayed at the Vidamar Resort Hotel in Funchal regularly for ten years. Initially we plumped for a cheap winter holiday, seeking a quiet holiday out of school time and near to Funchal. It was a winner, first and every time since. There are so many advantages which, coupled with an excellent service from Mercury Travel have made this a yearly must. The temperatures are always warm enough, at English summer level, and on the odd wet day, there are plenty of activities in the hotel. We hire a car each time. We used the Windsor Travel excursions on our first visit and got to know the best spots to visit. After that, we are nearly experts. When the skies are clear, Pico d'Areiro is a fantastic viewing place to visit at 1818 metres. Then there are countless places inland and around the coast. I could go on, but I have to mention the food. Self-service doesn't sound like gourmet food, but believe me the food is out of this world. Breakfast and dinner were anticipated with relish every day, and we stayed a whole week. My stomach is normally sensitive to new foods, but there were no problems whatever. The choice was quite incredible, so sampling everything became a sport. Exotic fruits at breakfast and superb omelletes cooked while you watch were highlights. On first approach, you might think this hotel is another concrete monster development, but on closer inspection, the design shows a great deal of thought. Its position is shielded from a busy road and the approach gardens are beautiful with palm trees and Birds of Paradise to welcome you. The staff are always very welcoming, both efficient and helpful, and any maintenance problems immediately dealt with. You can read about all the other nice things there are at Vidamar on the Web, but my hope is that not too many people read this, and spoil our secret treasure by booking our week!

Booked a great offer of a three week stay at the db Seabank and spa in Melliha which consisted of two weeks all inclusive with a third week free on a B&B basis with the option to upgrade to all inclusive, which we did. We have been to this hotel many times and it ticks all the boxes and booking with Mercury holidays saved us quite a sum compared to previous holiday providers we have used in the past. I can only commend Mercury Holidays how professional the agency is run and am already looking for another great deal to Malta for next year.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have just returned from a faultless holiday in Costa Rica organized by an A* tour operator, Mercury Holidays. It was our first but not last time using them. We were presented with everything we wished for and more. From the initial booking to landing back in the UK all was a blast and an utmost perfect holiday, even the weather was in our favour. A holiday with no complaints. A fabulous holiday. The guide and driver were super good, always on with time and being so informative. Restaurants recommended by Mercury were all good. Hotels were clean, comfortable and in good locations. Some excursions were outside our comfort zone, we tried them all and would repeat them again. We will definitely use Mercury Holidays again. Fantastic experience: A very good travel company, these people actually phone you and e-mail you. They answer questions, overall a very personal experience. Any changes beyond their control, (e.g flight operators changes) they will inform you immediately. I do recommend them.

Negative experience: Booked with this company for march .7 weeks before I travel wife was diagnosed with cancer company wouldn’t move my holiday until September lost £6000 as didn’t take out insurance.did NOT want refund just move the date they wouldn’t thanks a lot what a great company and compassion.I will rebook to Mauritius but not with this company

Fantastic experience: I have recently travelling with Mercury to the seabank hotel in Malta. I have been using Mercury for twenty four years and I have always found them to be excellent . They are very competitive to other tour operators and very good with customer service. I stayed at the seabank hotel in mellieha and it is wonderfull. I have been at this particular hotel nine times. When I talk to other guests at the seabank that have travelled with other tour companies, it becomes obvious that Mercury have the best deals. Why would you use anyone else. Thank you Mercury. Fantastic experience: Vietnam and Cambodian Odyssey I have visited 2 very different, amazing countries; learnt about and appreciated their different cultures and histories. I travelled the entire length ( 1072 miles) of the Reunification Railway, sailed in Ha Long Bay, and up the Mekong, visited Palaces, ancient temples, citadels and towns, walked through villages in the jungle Religion flourishes in both countries. Vietnam, with Buddhism and its own triple Religion of Tao, Buddhism and Confucianism, and Cambodia where Hinduism predominates. Temples, Pagodas and symbols of ancient beliefs and mythology are everywhere : dragons on the temple roofs in Vietnam and Naga everywhere in Cambodia. I have been amazed at the opulence of these: solid gold or jade buddhas, jewels sufficient to pay many King’s ransoms and in one large temple the floor tiles that are made of solid silver. The colourful, intricate sculptures and decorations were jaw dropping. So where to begin? I have been impressed, astonished, amazed, appalled, humbled, astounded, moved many times over. I have been to cities: modern ones such as Ha Noi, Saigon and Phnom Penh and been amazed at the impressive buildings, loved the colour and noise of the markets and been astounded by the number of scooters; ancient citadels and temples such as Angkor Wat and my favourite Beantay Srei, and have travelled on planes, trains, speedboat, boats, tuk tuks and sampans, along tracks, highways, red dirt country roads and walked through the jungle and along ancient pathways. I swam in Ha Long Bay and on one of the islands in Nha Trang. I have been soaked to the skin in a torrential downpour and prayed for respite from the heat and humidity. I have learnt something about the recent history of both countries. Visits to prisons in both Vietnam and Cambodia left me appalled and the visit to the Killing Fields lost for words. The determination shown by both countries in their fights for independence was evidenced in my visits to Ho Chi Minh’s Complex in Ha Noi and the Cu Chi Tunnels in Cambodia. So – my overriding impression: an amazing holiday in two fascinating and welcoming countries filled to exhaustion with a multitude of interesting, enjoyable and thought provoking experiences. Favourite ‘thing’/ experience – riding in a tuk tuk along quiet red dirt roads in Cambodia seeing people go about their everyday work, schoolgirls cycling home from school and toddlers playing in the dust by the roadside. Been there, seen it, done it – Fantastic.

Negative experience: I am lucky enough to stay in South India for six weeks every year, across two separate stays. Usually, I book accommodation directly with the provider, their parent company or sometimes with a reputable tour operator. Instead, on this occasion I booked the Gateway Varkala Hotel using Mercury Holidays. Never again will I use that company. Sometimes a hotel will not be selling rooms because they are full but a tour operator will still be selling as they have their own allocation of rooms which are theirs to sell until a pre-determined cut off point. In this case the hotel was not selling rooms, Mercury Holidays were selling and I booked with Mercury and prepaid them. I have used Mercury once or twice pre-COVID under similar circumstances and without issue. This time Mercury Holidays phoned me and left a voicemail message the week before the arrival date to say that the hotel had overbooked, and they could offer me another (much lower category) hotel or a refund. Importantly, they clearly blamed the hotel. I found that my hotel was still selling accommodation on my dates on several other booking platforms. I have stayed at the property a dozen times or more. The front desk team are very efficient and it is a very well run property. It is a small hotel with only around 30 rooms and with such a small number of rooms, they know very well that unlike other properties, they cannot afford to overbook. All indications were that Mercury Holidays were at fault but they denied this. The alternative property offered to me by Mercury Holidays (Sajjoys) was of far lower quality and entirely different in style and was selling on other sites for around half the price that I had paid Mercury. Mercury kept quiet about the price difference until I raised it. In any event, the hotel was still selling higher category rooms on the dates that I had booked. If it was the hotel’s fault, they should have accepted the booking and allocate the better room. If the issue was Mercury Holiday’s fault, they should do the same and bear the cost. Instead, Mercury told me that I had to pay them an extra £203 if I wanted to stay at the hotel. The original four-night stay cost only £422. This means that they wanted me to pay a total of £308 just for the last night. This equates to an extra 48% cost on the original confirmed booking. Four of Mercury Holidays senior management were copied into multiple emails and they never bothered to respond. By contract, the hotel replied quickly, politely and efficiently to all messages. Mercury hid behind terms and conditions “if we are not able to fulfil your booking made on the website we would refund all monies paid as we cannot confirm the booking requested”. Several of the messages from Mercury Holiday were curt, unhelpful and inaccurate. Eventually I contacted the hotel directly and they agreed to accept my booking at no extra cost. Finally and under pressure from me, Mercury Holidays admitted responsibility “Upon investigation I can confirm that the overbooking situation was caused by a system error which meant the room was not restricted for sale”. The hotel had clearly been exceptionally kind in resolving Mercury Holiday’s mistake but Mercury even claimed that their local rep had resolved things and “another client amended their dates”. This was simply not true, I had to resolve things myself. This all may seem rather trivial but the point is that Mercury Holidays cannot be trusted. Any one booking with them and not knowing the destination area would have been left in much lower quality accommodation or without a room. They would have accepted Mercury Holidays untruths and assumed that the hotel was at fault. I will never deal with Mercury Holidays again. In the past, I have told a great many people about Mercury Holidays, as they are one of the few tour operators operating in Kerala. I will continue to do the same but adding that Mercury Holidays should definitely be avoided.

Fantastic experience: Recently returned from a package holiday in Morocco at the Hotel Agana. Very pleased with the service from the flights, Ryan Air and the Rep and Transfers. The Hotel was very clean, Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms could do with some updating, Restaurant staff very pleasant and food was very good with lots of choice. Fantastic experience: Grand Tour of North India The Jayasree tour manager, Amit, made this one of the best holiday experiences. The complex and demanding itinerary was handled efficiently, professionally and with great care and support. We were a large group of 34 people and were kept safe and well- informed throughout the 17 day tour. Bottled water was always available to us, regular currency exchange, transport was always waiting for us - incredibly well- organised. Hotels were all of a very good standard and the Shimla Hotel was particularly nice - stunning views. The local tour guides were friendly and informative. This tour includes so many wonderful places - highly recommended. Our Goa extension was spent at The Zuri White Sands Resort. A lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, but a little off the beaten track, so nothing to see or do without getting a taxi out. Perfect for a few days' total relaxation.

Negative experience: DO NOT BUY ANY holidays with this agency , they are stilling your moneyy! Their terms and conditions are not visible anywhere when u book with them and then when you have a problem they send you a term and condition saying anything you pay up front for deposit will be 100% a loss . Fantastic experience: Fantastic holiday at Athena Beach; our accommodation was extremely well organised by Mercury Holidays. We booked on a hotel only basis and from booking to arriving at the hotel- everything we requested was sorted and went smoothly. The hotel was lovely overall -although could do with a slight refurbishment in certain areas. Pool, gardens and beach areas were spacious and well maintained. Staff were very kind, friendly and extremely helpful. Would not hesitate to use Mercury again, very professional and helpful and would definitely return to Athena Beach Hotel… A lovely experience - thank you Mercury!

Excellent service in all areas and everyone worked so hard for the comfort of the guests: Restaurant - especially Nitish and his wife, Hans, Sandy, and Linda; Poolside Bar - especially Patrick and Ajay; Reception Team; Maintenance Team, and the Cleaning Team. Fantastic experience: Hotel Santana, Qawra, Malta:- 10/10, plus one for neatness! Seriously, couldn't fault the place: staff very friendly and helpful, and food out of this world. A/C not working properly in our first room (211), so were transferred to 239 with no hassle and A/C worked fine there. Minor quibble: shower in 239 didn't have any rack to put soap, shampoo or whatever. Water pressure could have been improved, but I suppose that's a typical island problem: I lived in Bermuda for nearly 40 years, and the water pressure there wasn't great either. Only one complaint about Malta as a whole: for some stupid reason the local insurance companies won't insure any prospective rental drivers over 34, which pissed me off big-time as I was an Advanced Police driver for over 30 years prior to retirement and am now 77! Still, I suppose you gotta go with the flow: "When in Rome", and all that!
