Negative experience: Steam train and ABBA tribute hotel was nice but to far from steam train and tribute show to much time on the coach for a 2 day break it was to exhausting only 40 minutes in hotel and back on bus then up at 8 am for breakfast and back on bus to harrogate for 3 hour and 45 minutes to long when your tired would rather have shorter breaks and get back home

Fantastic experience: We had a great friendly driver called Mark taking us to London for the Chelsea flower show weekend. He was fantastic with information, humour and timings for our journey, onward and upward for this young man.

Fantastic experience: We booked a mystery day trip and ended up in Scarborough which we had a fab 5 hours to explore. Our coach was clean and driver Michelle was brilliant. We had a diversion coming out of Scarborough and to be honest we didn't think we were going to make it out without a scrape or two if at all as roads were very narrow and not built for coaches or huge lorries. Michelle put all her driving , calm manner and directing skills to the test as we had millimetres to spare when passing coaches and lorries. She even left the coach, ran up a few banks and stopped and directed oncoming traffic so that everyone could pass safety. If anyone deserves a medal it's Michelle, well done and we hope to travel with her again.

Fantastic experience: VISITED CALEDONION TOWER BLACKPOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME HOTEL VERY GOOD ST IVES HOTEL CORNWALL ALSO THE CARINGTON HOTEL BOURNMOUTH I RECOMEND THEM ALL THANKYOU CALEDONIANTRAVEL.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I have been away with Caledonian Travel a few times and every time has been fantastic. They are well worth the money and all the drivers have excellent customer service, can’t wait for the next trip, well done Caledonian.

Positive experience: Excellent service from the bus driver to the hotel at Southport and the staff were very friendly and the entertainment was great all in all everything was fabulous definitely use Caledonian again.

Positive experience: 5-day break @ The Claymore, Arrochar was excellent value-for-money. Hotel beautifully situated, room good, staff very good. Would be 5-star if the chef who took over mid-week had also done the previous days' meals. Also, entertainment (and bingo) enjoyable other than the Friday evening when (how can I put this tactfully?) was very suggestive, "near the knuckle", not appropriate for the audience, tho' he did have a lovely singing voice, if only he'd stuck to singing without the (so-called) "jokes". Caledonian Drivers were all lovely "people pleasers", anxious for us to have a good holiday, and ensured we did. Peter was especially kind and helpful. Overall, I would recommend this holiday with the proviso re the aforementioned evening entertainer.

Negative experience: Just back from Holy Island and Bamburgh April 20th half day trip complete waste of time certainly not a full day.

Positive experience: Just back from NC500 with Caledonian. The second hotel in Thurso was appalling! Rooms were very dated, corridors were dirty and the food very poor. The Royal Hotel in Thurso should not be used until it is completely refurbished. The place was freezing cold and the heating system didn't appear to be working. Breakfast and dinner was of poor quality and staying here spoilt our trip. Thurso itself is a dump as is Wick, another stop along the way. Shops boardered up and very little of interest. Caledonian should do their research before sending guests to these places. Driver had little knowledge of areas visited. On one stop I asked the name of a Loch he stopped at for photos. His 2 word response was, " nee idea" . Please do your research before sending paying clients on this tour that had the potential to be truly great.

Fantastic experience: Just arrived back from 2 day trip to Alton towers with family of 5. Absolutely brilliant! Great value for money, fantastic customer service, amazing driver. Would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic experience: Me & Sister 1st time travelling with Calendonian travel a trip down for Wembley Carabao Cup Final.what a great experience Our Lovely driver Stuart amazing Friendly,knowledgable,good advice just made our trip GREAT.Met some lovely people on board we were all excited about Newcastle at Wembley we were all singing our geordies songs frm Stuarts great playlist.Stayed at the Lovely Britannia Hotel primrose Hill a Beautiful hotel and location,then Stuart took us into Covent gdns to Celebrate with our fans till 7 in the evening then back to hotel had nice food in local pub.Next day after a Lovely breakfast,Stuart took us on bus all singing and dressed in Our toon tops etc to Wembley Stadium for the match Which we Won Our 1st cup and on coach home singing and all excited Stuart aswell.What a great trip frm start to hotel the people the atmosphere will definately be travelling with Calendonian again Thks Stuart and Calendonian travel for making Wembley a Great Experience

Negative experience: Disappointing Service and Lack of Follow-Up I've visited the Caledonian Travel branch in Gateshead twice to book a vacation, and both times, the experience has been frustrating. Each time, I was told they would call me back after contacting hotels about a three-bed option. However, despite their promises, I never received a call or any follow-up. What made things worse was noticing a clear difference in how they treated other customers compared to us. While others seemed to receive prompt assistance and engagement, we were left waiting and given vague assurances that ultimately led nowhere. When a company says they'll get back to a customer, they should follow through. Based on my experience, I am very disappointed and not happy with their unprofessional service.

Fantastic experience: We have just arrived home from a 5 day break in London which we thoroughly enjoyed we would like to put a massive shout out to our driver Dave who was very professional, helpful and would definitely recommend. An asset to caledonian travel.

Negative experience: Absolute joke company. I’d give minus 5 if possible. Emailed letter stating they were cancelling holiday. When I rang I got an absolute tool who said they had the right to cancel. To which they also have the right to ruin plans, and require me to arrange refunds of activities I’d planned for the time away. Because of my expected frustration, I was frankly greeted with contempt and threats to be cut off from the call. Seriously. Do not use this company. They have ruined birthday plans, caused extra hassle by me now needing to contact firms where I was going to get money back on planned events. All the letter tried to do was sell me another trip. Incredibly bad service, I for one will never use this firm again. I should have known better and not used them in the first place.

Fantastic experience: was away last weekend with the wife and welcomed on the coach by the driver Dean he's a credit to your company very helpful and very professional looking forward to our next adventure

Negative experience: Recent experience from my parents ———————————————————————— We have just returned from a deeply disappointing New Year Hogmanay Celebration with Caledonian Travel, staying at the Caledonian Hotel in Fort William for three nights. My partner had always dreamed of spending New Year in Scotland, but after this trip, we very reluctant to book with Caledonian Travel again. The itinerary advertised breakfast, dinner, and entertainment, which sounded perfect for us. However, the reality was far from what was promised. Day 1: We left Middlesbrough at 8:30 AM and finally arrived at the hotel at 5:15 PM after a pleasant stop at the services. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. At dinner, the eight of us at our table received our meals—except for my partner. After informing three different staff members and waiting until everyone else had finished eating, we had to escalate the issue to the manager. We were told the delay was due to waiting for mash potatoes—there was no apology or attempt to make up for the mistake. After dinner, we went to the bar and waited for the promised entertainment. By 11 PM, there was still nothing—not even background music. Day 2: We were scheduled to visit Oban, but the trip was canceled because the bus required repairs. When we asked the hotel staff if there were any backup plans—such as a quiz, bingo, or music—we were met with indifference. Left with no options, we had to book a taxi at our own expense just to get out of the hotel. New Year’s Eve: The dinner arrangements were chaotic. We weren’t informed that we had to sit at the same table as the previous night, leaving us separated from our group. Worse, our table was overlooked completely—we were bypassed for service while every other table around us was served. We had to speak to three different staff members and finally escalate again to the manager just to receive our meals. The entertainment that evening was equally disappointing. It began at 9 PM with a bagpiper, who was excellent but would have been better placed closer to midnight. The countdown itself was utterly flat—after “3, 2, 1,” there was no cheer, no Auld Lang Syne, and no atmosphere. It was a huge letdown. Day 3: With the bus still having issues, the driver offered to take us to Fort William town, just 2.8 miles away, if we paid £5 each. Reluctantly, 37 of us agreed, simply to escape the monotony of the hotel. Back at the hotel, we endured yet another long wait until 9 PM for just one hour of entertainment. Although the singer was fantastic, one hour of music over a four-day trip is appalling. Final Day: On the way home, we finally made it to Oban, but only because it was on the route back. We had to pack our cases onto the bus by 7 AM and left at 8:30 AM. By the time we arrived in Middlesbrough, it was 8:50 PM—a gruelling 12-hour journey. Overall Experience: This trip was a complete letdown. The entertainment was severely lacking, the hotel staff were dismissive of problems, and the entire experience felt poorly planned and unorganized. We expected a festive and enjoyable New Year celebration, but instead, we were left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Caledonian Travel needs to be upfront about the limited entertainment and the lack of concern from the hotel staff. This experience did not meet even the most basic expectations, and we would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

Fantastic experience: Having read reviews of the hotel(Britania Manchester)our party of were blown away by our experience. The hotel was immaculate and the art decor was very impressive. The food was varied and very tasty and on New Years Eve we were treated to a sit down 3 course meal. We all received gifts and drinks and staff and management went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasurable. Special thank you to our little waitress janani who always had a smile whilst looking after us all.

Fantastic experience: Just returned back from a Mystery tour over the festive period ( Twixmas break) Everything was great from start to finish . Andy was our driver great bloke , pleasant personality . We started out journey from gateshead and headed up through Carlisle on to Gretna services where we had a short stop. We then headed of up to Glasgow spent a few hours there, very picturesque festive city bustling with music/ entertainers. Our onward journey was then onto Adamton Manor house next to Prestwick Airport. Lovely clean place service and entertainment was great. Elvis came to the building everyone seemed to have a great time. ( The 3 course evening meal was great ) Soup/ salad Roast beef/ fish / Gammon / pasta / sausage/ curry/ rice Selection of cakes or jam roly poly with custard. Early rise following morning followed by cerals/ bread/ and cooked breakfasts / fruit 1hr 45 minute journey to Edinburgh to spend a few hrs in the vibrant busy city with festive entertainers and food/ Christmas markets. Then our return back to Newcastle/ gateshead. Thank you so more to Caladonia travel for this great short break well n truly worth it .

Fantastic experience: Just got back from 5 day 4 nights stay over Xmas at the London international hotel Canary Wharf… the hotel and staff were lovely and our driver Ray was amazing thank you

Negative experience: Worst trip ever! Booked winter wonderland from Sunderland. The coach was 2 hours late. The driver told us not to complain. My seats were double booked so I was forced to take the only spare seats. It has been awful . The air con doesn’t shut off so it’s cold. We are about to be dumped in a random location for free time in london, that we never asked for and to make it worse it will be miles from any of the main attractions. The whole thing is a disorganised mess. Didn’t find out until we were on the coach all of the above! No refund instead of travel. Do not book this, talking to ppl on bus this has happened to a few of the trips Caledonian ran this month.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from our girlie trip to Lincoln and York. Had a fabulous time and can recommend our driver Olly on his first drive. He looked after everyone through extreme weather. Very polite and professional at all times. Well done Olly hopefully see you again soon. The hotel choice was very good too.

Positive experience: Went to Scarisbrick hotel Southport with Caladonian November 9th. Couldn't fault any part of this 4 day break. The driver Paul was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and warm. The food was very good. Christmas dinner on Tuesday was very nice. Drinks at the bar were very reasonable buy one get one free was a bonus. Will be back. Thank you.

Positive experience: Just returned from a 3 day trip to Chatsworth House. The trip was lovely and the Palace Hotel in Buxton was pleasant, if a little busy at meal times. The downside of this trip (and I've done many trips with Caledonian) was the rude and insulting driver Mark. When we arrived at our pick up, Mark began to berate my elderly mother for not booking to bring her folding disability walker. When we explained that we had never had to book to bring it before, he said it was in the small print on the boarding passes (which you don't receive until just prior to departure). We checked the small print and it only relates to motorised scooters and wheelchairs. My mother was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. Mark complained about everything and certainly did not make the passengers feel welcome. My mother's disability causes her to have spells of unsteadiness, so she doesn't need to use her walker continuously. On the return journey, Mark told my mother that she didn't need to bring a walker, as she obviously didn't need one, because he had seen her managing without it!! This man definitely needs training in Equality and Diversity and Disability Discrimination. I will be taking this matter further as my mother was hurt and offended by the comments made to her.

Fantastic experience: We have just had a wonderful 4 day trip to llandudno with yourselves, our driver Andy was great, very professional, friendly funny and full of interesting facts on our trip to llandudno and on our trips out. The only thing that was a let down was the hotel where we stayed The Baytree on our arrival the room we were given needed some attention which I reported to the manager and he said that he would get it sorted, I asked if we could be moved to another room but he said there was none available, the issue was never sorted. We would highly recommend your company for trips away but sadly will not be returning to The Baytree.

Fantastic experience: we were a party of 8 all in our 60s, our trip was beautiful scotland inclusive, oban and fort william, unfortunatly we didnt get to oban because of the weather but drivers organised another trip that day and was really good, all 8 of us had no complaints with the whole 5 days we were there, all trips were good and all the drivers who were witty and very knowledgeable were extremley helpfull, hotel was a bit dated but we werent in very much, all hotel staff were brilliant especially the girl and boy on the bar who never stopped and coped really well with the queues we never had to wait to long, and we always took our glasses back to the bar which is something we always do as a couple of us are x barmaids, so great holiday and well done to the whole team

Fantastic experience: We have been on numerous caledonian coach holidays all over the UK and last week we were at Portpatrick and Cumbrae staying at Adamton Country House Hotel unfortunately we were very disappointed to find we couldn't pay cash at the bar I think we should have been informed before we went of this change as we like to take cash with us to spend not everybody likes to pay by card must say that Graeme the driver was excellent

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted with everything concerning our trip to the Edinburgh tattoo this August. Firstly the seats we sat in had no pull down tray like every other person did.. Secondly, the Britannia hotel was a absolute pig shed, filthy carpets, filthy cups, no bath towel, and to top it off, a smashed toilet pan, yes totally smashed at the back of it which made the both of us feel sick just being in the room. My partner spoke to the manager and she told us that they had no rooms to swap us over, liar, as when I asked the cleaners on the same evening they said they had quite a few rooms empty, Omg, then as we went down for our evening meal, it was just a frenzy of feed yourselves, no staff around to make any type of queue, so people were putting utensils what had been used for beens into the pork loins, Omg we both just had a plate of chips as did a daughter and mother on the opposite table, disgusting. Breakfast was exactly the same apart from me having bite marks on my legs, and I have photos of everything. Then the Edinburgh extravaganza we were told was a bus ride into some street and told to go and do some shopping for four hours, pathetic, everyone just wanted to go home at this point. And it still hasn't finished, because on the way home the driver had ran out of driving hours so we had to stop again for half an hour only twenty miles from home. Also when I got in touch with the compliment department of the bus company all I was told was they would pass all the information over to the relevant people to make sure these things were rectified,,, yes of course they will,, ohh and a gesture of goodwill a £40 voucher to be used off another trip of theirs, after paying over £500. This was the worst travelling experience I have ever had and everything I have said is genuine. Treated like animals. Never again.

Fantastic experience: Just been on the York/Leeds weekend tour, couldn’t fault a thing. The driver Dave was so lovely. The hotel was The Holiday Inn Wakefield, no complaints at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful, food was really nice, especially the breakfast. Value for money.

Fantastic experience: We travelled to the Isle of White on August 5th for 4 days at the Isle of Wight It was a long journey from Sunderland but Sarah our driver was brilliant. She was helpful as I have walking difficulties. She also had a good knowledge of some Of the places we passed through which made it interesting. Fantastic experience: My friend and I have just returned from a weekend to Skipton\Haworth\Esholt. Our driver was Dean. He was friendly,funny and informative. We stayed at the Best Western hotel at Guide Post near Bradford. This hotel is superb. Rooms lovely and clean. The food was delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly. A brilliant weekend.

Fantastic experience: Me and my mam went to Liverpool for 2 nights 3 days from the 6th march 2024 till the 8th march, had a absolute blast when there but also on the bus there and back. Had Chris think he was 29 from Newcastle, was absolutely lovely, made sure we were all comfy, had what we needed and kept us updated there and back. Definitely worth more than 5 stars

Fantastic experience: Caledonian took my cousin and myself to the Grand in Scarborough. Reviews of the hotel were terrible so my wife wouldn’t come after booking. Our fears and trepidations melted away when we got to the Hotel and saw it and our room. Caledonian would not take you to a Hotel if it really matched the reviews. Old opulence cleanliness and good food with good and efficient staff. Grab yourself a bargain whilst you can.

Fantastic experience: Bus spotlessly clean, driver freindly enough. Only gripe was don't think any forward planning done by driver or company, 66 closed due to weather had been from early morning, but driver still tried to go that way so had to turn around and find alternative route, which was very scary. Could of been avoided. But we arrived safely.

Positive experience: Great, value for money breaks. Had two 5 day breaks last year and have, up to now, 2 x 5days booked this year.

Positive experience: Edinburgh for two days hotel was basic food was good and plentiful although breakfast was just warm witch was a shame . Bed ️ was comfortable ask for two extra pillows witch they sorted straight away driver was spot on helpful and pleasant and smart now the bus was a different matter it wasnt there usual bus I think it was a feeder bus . no drop down table. seats to small and cramped no WiFi no usb so as I'm six foot tall no leg room don't normally have any bother so come Caledonian sort this out and stop use the horrible uncomfortable buses

Negative experience: Booked Trip for Xmas market to York and stay at Scarborough hotel . Dropped off at hotel further up the street had carry all luggage down the St to our hotel no help for elderly No information at hotel about pick up time or location for trips and no information on return pick up point staff at the hotel did not know anything On arrival no staff serving in the bar .you get a drinks offer included in price which is a waste of time as the spirits are the cheap varieties so had to purchase premium vodka at a cost of £19.50 for two doubles Lovely hotel and very friendly staff .but wouldn’t recommend this package Caledonian are selling Many people who were there were very disappointed

Fantastic experience: Good travel company. My husband and I have been on numerous day trips with them. Staff helpful and informative. Good value for money and any applicable entry fee is included in the price.

Negative experience: I went on the NC500….except it was the NC250 as the driver (who admitted that this was a new route to him) took us to Thurso and then, next day, back down the A9 and across to Ullapool, then Gairlock. We missed out Thurso to Durness and down to Gairlock. He was a technically good driver (9 out of ten) but a poor tour driver (1 out of ten). So we did not do the NC500. He did take us for a ‘treat’ to the Isle of Skye. But most people would have settled for NCoast with more information and not being left for 4hrs at Dunrobin castle, when we could have done it in 2 and visited Wick. He needs to give more local info and be more people focussed than driving focussed

Positive experience: Just returned from a trip from Yorkshire dales, the holiday itself was very good and well worth it great excursions and hotel , the driver Paul was very good helpfull and friendly, only downfall was the coach itself, the driver had no control over the heating and air con due to a faulty system the heat on the coach was unbearable at times it was like been in a sauna, every one was complaining about it we were told by Paul that everything on heating side was off but was still blasting out hot air, also the coach struggled a lot to get up some hilly roads and was down to about 10 mph causing tail backs with traffic we had to pull into the side at times to let traffic get past, also no phone charging points , advised to only use toilet on coach for fluid disposals and not the opposite, if we needed toilets for other use we had to notify driver to stop at other service stations to use toilets ,

Positive experience: Had a great trip to Southern Ireland - 2nd - 6th October. Hotel, waiting staff, catering, room, bus driver in Ireland all absolutely wonderful. BUT driver from Gretna to the ferry was rude, offensive and impolite. Had to be back at bus for 7.40am to drive to ferry. We all stood out in rain and I had to sit on wet seat till 8.00am. We said this was not good and he said it was my choice to sit on wet seat. Did not have a choice as I had disabilities. Said we should have waited inside but other passengers said we had been told when to be at bus. I asked him if he had ever had disabilities and he simply grunted. No apology, no asking were we alright. Terrible. An apology would have been accepted but none forthcoming. He needs training in politeness, timekeeping and disability awareness.

Fantastic experience: Went on a mystery weekend Saturday 16th Sept.departed from Newcastle, I can honestly say our driver Sarah was magnificent she created this mystery into a mysterious mystery. Fantastic experience: I booked my tickets online. However, it was very easy to understand their website, and it was very simple to book my tickets as well. My family and I went to Flamingoland, and would you love to do so again when coach trips for next year become available. Our coach driver was absolutely amazing as well. I'm very happy with how my trip went, especially as it was my first time travelling with Caledonian, and it definitely won't be my last. I've already booked again. I'll be going to Edinburgh in December this year. I can't wait.

Negative experience: Visited the Edinburgh Tattoo with Caledonian travel in August. The bus was clean and spacious. We initially had problems with our pre- booked seats which didn’t match the numbered locations on the coach. The driver spent 10 minutes moving everyone around to the correct booking places. The Tattoo was great, although we didn’t have an itinerary. Which would have been helpful. The Britannia Hotel where we were placed was a disgrace! Overall the hotel was dirty. The room was shabby, only one set of towels, mismatched and dirty cups and spoons in the room. Fire break glass on our floor was hanging off the wall. Check in was chaotic and the food left a lot to be desired. Six people on our bus decided enough was enough and went home by train. I hope this didn’t reflect on our driver who did the best he could under difficult circumstances.

Negative experience: Big NOOO.. by seeing good reviews I opted for 5 days trip from Newcastle to Cornwall. It's wastage of time, money and your mood. Very bad trip planner this company has. Caledonia travel - you really need good trip planner. You should provide details itinerary day wise. This travel is not for youngsters, family or people of age below 50. it's only for old age, retired people, very slow trip. We were odd man out in this trip. Management should have mentioned this while booking. False information by management team when I called before booking this trip like travel time n all. You just ruined our holiday. Please please avoid this agency. They just don't know how to plan a good, relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Negative experience: We booked the emmerdale trip for 12/8/2023 and it was a complete waste of money and Caledonian travel drivers are very rude I wouldn’t recommend this tour

Negative experience: Having previously been on a trip with caledonian, I had booked two more trips with this company. I had booked a trip in June 2023 which got cancelled a few weeks later and was fully refunded. However, this review is for the second trip I had booked. I had booked this trip in March 2023 to depart in November 2023. Being a single female passenger, I booked my seat well in advance. I also suffer from anxiety so I therefore booked a seat at the front of the coach behind the driver. I recently received an email in August 2023 about a seat change. I was upset over this, mainly because I had booked this seat in advance and I'm also unable to sit in the middle of the coach due to health reasons. I rang caledonian to explain my concerns. The reasoning for this was that a party of two had recently booked the trip and wanted to sit at the front in my seat. The party was one adult and one child. I understood that the party could not be split up but was not happy that caledonian did not ask me before hand as I booked that seat for a reason. (If the coach is full, don't book it) I was then told that the coach was no longer picking up from my chosen pickup point. I was offered to travel on a different date, however my holidays from work where already booked in. I was also conscious that my chosen seat could be changed again. When I asked to cancel the holiday, the attitude of the person taking the call had changed and it ended with him putting the phone down on me. Its clear that this company does not like single passengers. I will not be travelling with this company again.

Fantastic experience: Just got back from a 5 day trip to the royal court hotel after our trip to the Cotswolds and Oxford plus Leamington spa also Litchfield what can I say was beautiful from start to finish the driver mark was the perfect host couldn't do enough to help you very friendly and kept us informed would definitely like that driver again he also mixed in and sat with slot of his bus passengers well done Caledonia for another holiday enjoyed big fat 10/10 for mark ‼️

Negative experience: I have booked with different holiday coaches before but I have to say the driver called stuart is the worst I have ever had his behaviour was disgusting he needs to learn some people skills went on the coronation street tour I will never travel with this company again

Negative experience: I did the coronation Street tour, which included a Liverpool stop and possibly a old Trafford stop ( that part was not clear if it was part of the tour or a add on either way, it was a disaster) 2 days, spent 140 to spend most of the time on the bus only got 3 hours in Liverpool, we stopped at hotel a hour away in Blackburn to then go back to Manchester, the hotel was nice but it was a motorway hotel, nothing there, why we didn't stay in Liverpool I don't know, hotel beds, rooms etc nice, but the food potion size and the options for the main meal were disgusting, after traveling for 12 hours you want food with a bit of substance, I think prisoners get better fed then what we did, the worst part of the trip was the driver, he was ill, he shouldn't have been at work, he was having coughing fits which jerked the bus every time, he was spitting out the window, which was knocking everybody sick, he tried to have a fight with a driver in a car, swearing at him and asking him to get out the car for a fight, he almost fell asleep at the wheel when we got to Liverpool, he was using his phone , while coughing and driving at the same time, seriously thought we were going to crash,we were supposed to have a meet n greet with somebody in Liverpool to get some discounted vouchers that didn't happen as the lad forgot his bag of vouchers! Then the actual trip to Corrie , he struggled to get to the entrance to drop us off as there was a bike event on , passengers were having to help guide him with the directions, he ended up driving on a motorway and we ended up at the Trafford centre, he told people if that's where they wanted to go then get off now, people were under the impression that we were doing Corrie first then Trafford centre in the afternoon, that didn't happen so people had to choose, I think some were just glad to get off the bus, he then went back to Corrie, told us to get back on the bus at 2 as we said a hour n half was not long for us, but when it got to a1.30 he was moaning for us to get back on the bus, people were still waiting to collect there photos from the kiosk, we did need the 2 hours not the 1/30 he wanted to give us, he moaned at us and would not have it when we said you said 2 not half 1, he also wouldn't listen when we said you missing passengers, he argued there at the Trafford centre, we said we saw them in the Corrie tour, he said his numbers were right then, he went to check after we insisted there was still people in Corrie, and five more got on the bus 2 of them were very elderly ladies that he was gonna leave, he had a disgusting argumentative attitude,we also missed our time slot at Corrie we were supposed to be there for 10.15, we were so late, they had to fit us in at 11.30, Corrie tour was excellent, the guide we had very knowledgeable and a great experience, I would do the Corrie tour again just not with Caledonian travel

Positive experience: I returned from 2 day trip to Chester and Cheshire Oaks Sunday 30th July. Everything was great. Lovely Hotel and staff. Only fly in the ointment was the driver. He talked on his phone constantly on both journeys to other colleagues discussing all their routes in the coming days. At times he was less than complimentary about some of them. This was so unprofessional and uncomfortable to listen to. He shown no interest in his passengers and when asked any question he was either boorish or dismissive. He certainly needs to be made aware of his actions.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a 2 day trip to chester and Cheshire oaks. The trip was excellent value but wish I could say the same for the driver . He was constantly on his fone (hands free) while driving trying to sort out trips booked for the next day and onwards. He was calling one of hs colleagues in particular and was very abrupt with customers on the coach . I find this very unprofessional . It would of been nice to have a little music playing on the coach instead of having to listen to this the whole journey. The only time he addressed the customers was when we were close to home saying he hoped we had enjoyed it , but no one answered him. It won't deter me from using Caledonian again but feel this should be addressed by them.

Fantastic experience: Me and Karen just came back from a holiday in Llandudno every thing was excellent the driver must have been training she was called Sarah and Andy as well they were both great and had plenty to entertain us all plus the hotel was great to as were the staff

Fantastic experience: my friend and I went to oban and fort William inclusive on 17th july. 2nd time I've done this tour.claymore hotel needs a refurb but food was really lovely with a great choice.our drivers Gary and Dennis are a credit to your firm.great tours for the price. highly recommended.

Positive experience: Just like to say what a lovely weekend my wife and I had. We went to York and Lincoln staying in Doncaster holiday inn really good staff. fab time also a great lad Chris the driver very friendly.

Negative experience: Driver was shocking come back from Blackpool yesterday driver was 3 hours late picking up after pulling in and leaving again drove all way back to northeast hanging over steering wheel and jumping from lane to lane also no seat belt . attitude was horrible with passenger when asked him to get his hands on the wheel .

Negative experience: Bus was very uncomfortable and the driver stopped Every hour and a half for a smoke, and as there were others on the coach that smoked took us some time to get to London. Driver was very shoddy turned out and it did not get any better as the week went on. On the way back the same, And even had to stop to fuel up we did not get back to Newcastle until after 7.30 pm
