Fantastic experience: We used On The Go Tours for our visit to Egypt and they could not have delivered a better experience. All of our guides were extremely knowledgeable and made us feel like family. I wouldn’t even consider another company going forward - thanks so much for making our visit so memorable!

Fantastic experience: WOW! WOW! WOW! Forever grateful for our travel experience with ON THE GO TOURS Egypt edition. We hired them for a private guided tour for 10 days in Egypt and they delivered excellent service each day. They made our experience effortless, seamless, and the staff treated us like family. Each driver and guide were very pleasant, timely and so very welcoming. Chances are I will never even look at any other tour company going forward. It will always be ON THE GO for me! Thank you dearly for an incredible experience. We will see you again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Favorite Driver: Sameh (they were all great!) Favorite Guides: Zidan, Rehan, Ahmad Shazlyy, Mohamed (they were all great!)

Fantastic experience: We booked the Imperial Morocco tour in October with On The Go Tours, and our guide was Jaouad. The 5-star rating is all thanks to him — he was absolutely fantastic! Polite, helpful, sincere, and always smiling. He genuinely cared about everyone in the group and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy throughout the trip. While the tour itself wasn’t the perfect fit for us, I’d suggest the company consider adjusting the itinerary — especially the Atlas Mountains day. We spent about eight hours driving just to stay overnight at a hotel before heading to Marrakech the next day. Personally, I would’ve preferred an extra night in Fes instead. Our driver, Jamal, was also wonderful — very accommodating and a pleasure to travel with. Overall, Jaouad truly made our trip special and memorable. He’s the reason this tour gets top marks from me. The company is lucky to have him.

Negative experience: Egypt and Turkey tour was horrendous, not even worth one star. Over priced, so many things that were in the itinerary weren't included at all. The tour guide constantly lied to us, never gave any recommendations, was rude, and even allowed a random salesman onto the bus to harrass us without stepping in. We weren't provided any local foods with the included meals, mostly buffets at the hotel or overpriced dodgy, old 'event venue' style restaurants that would charge 10 x the amount for cans of Coca-Cola. Absolutely horrible. Want a refund to be honest. Felt like we didn't get to experience much of these great countries at all.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful "Land of the Samurai" tour in Japan. The itinerary was busy, educational and hit some very beautiful spots. The guides were excellent; friendly, knowledgeable and provided over the top assistance and guidance.

Positive experience: We went on the Southern Vietnam - Cambodia tour and had a great time. I would give the tour itself 5 stars. The itinerary was very well thought through in terms of venues and pace. The tour guides were all excellent - extremely knowledgeable and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They were always on time with high quality air conditioned transport and we felt well looked after. The hotels were a very high standard, especially in Cambodia. We had a wonderful time and would use this company again. However, outside of the tour communication was a bit hit and miss and we didnt feel 100% confident we knew what was happening, especially before the tour. The phone number we'd been given as a contact didnt work. The tour guide was great though and turned up and explained everything to us and put our minds at rest. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable trip to such a great part of the world with really lovely people.

Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed the 5 day South West Ireland Uncovered tour. Our tour guide Dan the Man was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge of Ireland, provided clear communication, had great humour along with a special music playlist that linked with the tour activities. There were extra activities added in when time permitted, which were awesome. We started the tour not knowing much about Ireland, and came away with so much appreciation for the country and it's history. Thank you Dan the Man!

Fantastic experience: We went on their Jewels of Greece Express tour which was a 5 day/4 night tour. We enjoyed it all. It was exactly as outlined in their promotional material. They provided information in advance and clear instructions. They were very quick to respond to any questions. The tour guides were great. Very informative. We were a small group of about 24 people which was perfect and enjoyed meeting several of the others in the group from all over the world.. All went smoothly. Would use again.

Positive experience: I have toured with On The Go three times now. Overall I have found the tours and guides have been excellent. Hotels and transport are usually good. On my most recent tour I enjoyed my time overall but there was an unexpected change to the itinerary part way through. The change wasn’t ideal, but more importantly for me it proved difficult to get transparent information out of them and work out an alternative plan. We reached a compromise in the end but I wouldn’t travel with them again on this basis. They will likely reply to this review citing their Ts&Cs, which will tell you everything you need to know!

Negative experience: This company doesn’t deserve even 1 star. I would not recommend this company. There are hidden fees which means the cost of the holiday ends up being very expensive. We recently came back from our trip to China where it is not customary to tip in restaurants & hotel staff. Yet we had to make a payment upfront in cash to to the guide for more than £100. The hotel service was appalling. Just think £100 from each person. The trip was suppose to be a Tour yet we had to pay for all entrance fees. We complained about the poor condition of the hotels but no one responded to our emails to date. The after sales service is non existent. Do not use this company. Far far too expensive for what you get. Not competitive at all. They messed up our booking; repeatedly asked for the same information. We spent so much time correcting their errors. Very difficult to get hold of anyone because they all work in S Africa or New Zealand. Absolute nightmare

Positive experience: Had good experience with actual tour but don’t buy your tour early no matter what they say about it being a good price. I booked about 9mos out and a much better sale happened 2mos out. They won’t honor any price changes even though they had my deposit 7mos sooner. So don’t book early, just wait or look for a provider that will price adjust- there are alot of options out there.

Negative experience: I would give this tour group no stars if possible. The tour was not guaranteed but they did not inform me when I booked and they did not have enough people. Way after I booked they said I needed a doctors letter because I was over 70. Also way after booking I was informed I needed travel insurance. They knew my age when I booked. They would not refund my tour even though it was 4 months away.

Fantastic experience: Recently returned from Greece, a 5 day tour with OTG. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience on day 2 where I needed local support to get me out of a tricky situation. Thank you to Alexandra Z from Hetco Tours in Athens for helping me continue on with the trip, to the Hotel Zafolia staffing team and to Danielle and team here in the UK for supporting me with the aftermath. Your kindness will not be forgotten and I will pay it forward. I've now booked 3 trips with yourselves and will continue to go back. Thank you all. Honestly, I am SO grateful. Blessings to you all. Fantastic experience: Magical Morocco was made possible by our tour guide Omar! His care, patience, humour and knowledge was just remarkable! Fantastic experience: Just back from India, the GoldenTriangle & Tigers Tour. What an amazing experience. The organisation by the staff of On The Go was exceptional, from start to finish. The tour was well planned and covered all of the expected sites as well as some more 'off beat' ones, which made for a great trip. Our tour guide, Yussef, was brilliant, knowledgable, engaging and fun to be with - he made the tour so much more than it would have been unguided (can't wait for his book!)

Fantastic experience: On The Go Tours Sri Lanka was an incredible experience that was made even better by our tour guide Akthar. He was incredibly knowledgeable about his country and he loved sharing it with us. The tour covers a wide range of activities so you can truly experience what Sri Lanka is all about. The beautiful 4-5 star hotels at the end of every day was an absolute bonus. Thanks for a great trip OTGT I’m sure this won’t be my last

Negative experience: Terrible tour of India. For some reason On the Go hadn't realised that my room mate had booked her own room for the first night of tour. So the hotel in Delhi had tried to put me in her room after midnight, by wheeling in an extra bed. She went Crazy!! I then had to sit in hotel reception for hours. While the tour guide said he couldn't find me a room. Throughout the tour the guide consistently ask me and my room mate for money for my room, causing more friction between us. Don't book with this company had the worst experience ever. Go with Intrepid or G Adventure

Positive experience: We booked the Land of Northern Lights and the actual trip was a wonderful experience we had a great guide and driver. The problem we had was with On the Go Tours. We accept meals are not included but did expect meals to be available. When in Hella the hotel restaurant was closed and there bistro was full, but we were told we could eat at about 7.45pm - when we asked again at 8pm we were told it would be another 15 - 30 mins. There is a street van, pizza and burger bar but all close at 8pm so we could not grab anything there - we had a Northern Lights presentation at 8.30pm so no chance of us getting meal at the only other restaurant. The next day our lunch stop was unable to provide lunch just coffee & cake! I have raised this with On the GO Tours and the bottom line is they do not include meals!!!!

Positive experience: Gallipoli tour. The guide was awesome. Everything went like clockwork.. My complaint is that you expect 4 people to cramp together on the back seat of the van for 4 hours. That is poverty travel. Not really acceptable for the price paid. So uncomfortable. If was to do this trip again I'd just rent a car. Although the guide was amazing, but that's 3 hours of the trip.

Negative experience: I booked three tours with this agency. While the first two experiences were very nice, with well-thought-out itineraries and knowledgeable guides, the third tour was an absolute nightmare for us. Due to the unavailability of an hotel from the trip notes, the agency opted to replace it with another they claimed was "similar." To our dismay, this alternative was nothing short of a decrepit, filthy establishment that threatened to ruin our entire safari experience in South Africa. But the fiasco didn't end there. This so-called hotel began proposing and organizing activities starkly different from what we were promised in the trip notes, together with an awful services of their guides and vehicles. And when this disaster struck and we desperately needed their support? The agency ghosted us. It took them an entire day to respond, and when they did, they simply shrugged off our concerns, asserting it was too late to fix anything, even though three nights of our trip were still ahead. The level of unprofessionalism was staggering. Forced to salvage our experience, we took matters into our own hands, leaving that awful place to book another hotel and activities for the remainder of our trip—all at my own expense. Based on my experience, I suggest travelers to think twice before considering this agency. Seek out reputable companies known for their commitment to customer service and integrity.

Negative experience: I had used them once before and loved them. I decided to try them again for a Baltic tour not knowing that they put me on another Tour group- Baltic vision. Loved that tour but was not impressed they marked up the cost for me over 100%. I understand taking some for yourself because of paperwork, but over double the cost everyone else paid on the tour. Just double check before you book with them that you’re not over paying.

Fantastic experience: TOTALLY MOROCCO We booked a 9 day tour of Morocco visiting many main cities and places of interest. The coach was very comfortable and we felt safe with the driver Suliman. The guide was Hicham Touraouine and he was fantastic. He spoke perfect English as well as French, Arabic and Berber. He was so kind and considerate and made a good tour great. We particularly enjoyed ‘glamming in the Sahara Desert. So much to see and do and great food and company. We would definitely use On The Go Tours again, especially if Hicham was the guide. Negative experience: Where to begin. Everything started ok. Very good infact until we actually arrived in Kenya. From being over charged actually on the trip and customer services not wanting to see our grievance but give lame excuses. We were told that we would be paying approx $200 for a vehicle to do an excursion. In fact we were were charged $420 . That is hardly approximate!! Our guide wanting to charge us more than the receptionists given price on an upgrade. Where would this money have gone if we hadnt queried it and paid the higher amount ? Doesnt take much working out does it ! Then another guide left us waiting for over an hr in the scorching African sun, with no shelter. The reason we were given was.... ' he was flustered'. What sort of explanation/apology was that ? If you are thinking of going on holiday with this company, I would suggest you double and triple check what you have to pay once at your destination . Or better still ,go with another company. I am having to go to court with them to get this matter sorted and don't want other people being ripped off like this. Zero out of 10, On the Go Tours

Negative experience: WARNING ON THE GO TOURS ARE NOT COVID SAFE! STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH! I picked up both RSV virus and Covid 19 whilst on the Highlights of Israel Coach Tour (13-23rd November 2022). One of my fellow passengers was constantly coughing heavily on the coach and mini-buses and the entire coach party coach party contracted either RSV, Covid 19 or both! He wouldn’t wear a mask when asked and the tour guide wouldn’t ask him to wear a mask, hence we all fell Ill. When I contacted On the Go Tours they said they weren’t prepared to enforce mask wearing on people who were constantly coughing over other passengers. DISGRACEFUL!! This is the 4th and the last EVER time I have used On the Go Tours!! Elderly people and those with underlying conditions can die from these viruses and On the Go Tours couldn’t care less. Please do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere for a tour company that considers the safety of its customers.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful trip to the Cotswolds - I had so much fun. This is definitely a great way to visit four lovely villages which would be quite hard to get to if you are not driving your own car. David was awesome and knowledgeable and quite funny! Would highly recommend. I'll definitely be back on this tour or similar destination.

Fantastic experience: Road to Casablanca Tour (9 days) - do not miss this fantastic country! The 9 day “Road to Casablanca” Tour was the perfect way to start travelling again since the pandemic. Not only did we want to see Morocco but we also wanted to know about it’s culture, traditions and people. We could not have had a better Guide than ABDELLATIF, and a more accommodating driver than SLIMANE. I was so embarrassed at how little I knew of Morocco and while on the tour I quickly understood that 9 days were just enough time to scratch the surface of this amazing country. The guided tours in each city were wonderful, and the people warm and welcoming. Although there is a lot of driving (Morocco is vast!) the journeys did not feel long with plenty of stops along the way thanks to Slimane and Abdellatif’s explanations of Moroccan life, politics, history and it’s future. We travelled July/August, so the temperatures are high, but really what would you expect in a North African country in the summer? The tour bus is air conditioned, and you can get bottled water in most places. As someone who is London born and bred, I acclimatized to the weather quickly, so don't let the temperatures put you off from visiting. Personal highlights of this trip for me were: (1) Dinner at Dar Essalam restaurant in Marrakech. (2) Visiting Ait Ben Haddou fortified Kasbah, where films like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Prince of Persia (you get the gist) were filmed. (3) Walking around the Medina's of Marrakech and Fes, especially getting to see the tanneries which were breathtaking (literally - the bird poop smell really penetrates to your brain!) and fascinating. (4) Volubilis was magical, I mean who doesn't like Roman ruins?! The mosaics and preserved town were wonderful to see. (5) Seeing the sunrise in the Wester Sahara after spending a night stargazing at a Berber campsite. The entire trip was smooth and I've learnt so much. Thank you to the most dedicated Tour Guide Abdellatif - we will definitely return to Morocco to visit the rest of the country :O) ! Do not hesitate to book this trip, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Totally Morocco was an outstanding tour for us! Our guide, Hicham Tora and even our driver Sulieman made it a super trip. Hicham speaks great English and is well educated in all things Morocco - the History, the various cultures and current matters impacting the country. He helped us in the Souks with negotiating best prices on things and in our case assisted us with a medical emergency...I really don't know how we would've managed without him. Sulieman our driver got us around safely and was super reliable. What an awesome country and so glad we picked Morocco Thank you On the Go Steve and Caren McNabb

Fantastic experience: My life dream is to visit Egypt. After a long research I have decided to book a group tour with this company for May 20. Due to COVID my plan had to be postponed to May 21 and now again to Dec 21. Also, the person who was going with me can't go anymore and I also had to change my travel buddy. I was very anxious and stressed with the changing of plans, but all the team is being AMAZING, replying to all my queries and emails very quickly and they are always there to help and make amendments to my bookings without charging for it. If you feel unsure about booking with them due to change of circumstances I would definitely go for it without thinking twice :) Thank you to all the team.

Negative experience: History: Cancelled Tour to East Africa due to Covid-19 : No refund being offered - been sitting on my cash for over 9 months and now want to provide a credit for travel at a later date but there is no way I can do this travel anymore :( Booked this holiday back in Jan 2020 for once in a lifetime trip to Africa as a last hoorah before my kids went onto their respective careers - neither child will be able to take 4 weeks holiday in the next few years. So both Qatar airways $12K and a small dive in Zanzibar $6K have provided full refunds. 'On the Go Tours' is refusing to even entertain the idea saying I can give the tour to family or friends!!! as if I would recommend them to friends now! Just a really poor outcome :(

Fantastic experience: My husband and I went on the Treasures of the Nile tour in Egypt. It was SOOOOOO amazing. We're not tour people and generally like to travel independently, but On the Go blew me away! Every single person who works for/with them was so professional and friendly and helpful in every way possible. All the accomodations (hotels, boats, transportation) were also fantastic. Medo (Ahmed Esmat) was the most perfect tour guide/Egyptologist we could have. He's so passionate and excited about ancient and current Egypt, which made learning/being with him even more fun. He taught us so much about everything Egypt and graciously answered my millions of questions about history, culture, and more. I recommend this tour (and Medo!) to anyone who wants to go to Egypt (I seriously don't think we could have done the trip in any other way), and we'll definitely use On the Go for future trips.

Fantastic experience: A great experience, first group tour I have done in years and it was surprisingly good. Loved Marrakech and would recommend it as a travel destination for sure. Right from booking to the tour guide, it was professional and everyone was friendly and helpful. Food was average but that was not an issue for me personally. Great shopping destination and on your free days definitely visit the Yves St Laurent Museum and Gardens! Awesome :)

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I just had an amazing holiday on the King Ramses tour. I cannot recommend On The Go Tours highly enough! As soon as we made our booking, our UK advisor Terri was extremely helpful in giving us all of the information we needed and replying to our queries very promptly. From the moment we arrived at Cairo airport, all of the On The Go representatives that we interacted with were incredibly helpful, organised and professional. In particular, our tour guide Alam was fantastic! He immediately made our tour group feel at ease so we very soon felt like one big family. He told us all about his beautiful country with great knowledge and humour. He also always went out of his way to make sure everything was as effortless as possible for us, so all we had to do was enjoy the experience. We really couldn't have hoped for anything more - thank you Alam for making our holiday so perfect! The itinerary took us to all of the must-see sights in Egypt, which were all even more impressive than we could have imagined! All of the accommodation and food on the trip were great, but we particularly enjoyed those on the Nile Cruise, so we're definitely glad that we chose to upgrade from the Felucca. The boat was very comfortable, the staff were great and it was very relaxing to be able to lounge on the sun deck, watching the beautiful scenery go by. Before we went on the trip several of our family and friends were concerned about safety of tourists in Egypt. We found all of the people we met in Egypt to be very welcoming and we never felt threatened. We'd highly recommend visiting Egypt, particularly with On The Go Tours! We'll certainly be booking more holidays with them in future.

Fantastic experience: I would really recommend this tour and the staff involved on the ground. I have just had am amazing time in Egypt and was completely safe and the local guides Aaer Ibrahim and Yasser El-Sayed were amazing as were all our drivers. I found the overnight train a bit hard on the first time as trains are not like ours but it did the job. You can fly. COming back on the train was fine as I was more prepared. I would still use sleeper over trains as it is an opportunity to see Egypt and it is not the western train service! Excellent tour wonderful country people and sights. Our tour guides were so full of knowledge --professional Egyptologists! I would seriously remind people to tip well as all people in Egypt are facing a poor economy at present. The tour organisers take a lump sum for tips but I ask if you have any thanks which our tour did to tip extra drive guides ground staff. Noone asks and despite a recommended 3-5 euro this is NOT enough..it is an insult I think.Wonderful tour wonderful guides wonderful nile cruise wonderful people. PS A lady lost her handbag on our our tour at a site full of everything! Our tour guide spent 1.5 hrs in souring heat and found it. A local had handed it untouched into police! Don't think that would happen here!!!. Please tip extra......Would recommend highly

Fantastic experience: Complete rip off - Sri Lanka (Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Cave Temples Private Day Trip) My partner and I paid $150 each for day trip from Kandy to Sigiriya and Dambulla Caves. There was a driver who spoke limited English, but no guide. We walked around without knowledge of what we were seeing. The car itself was very old (no proper air con), not what we expecting given the expense of the trip. No water water provided as stated on the booking. The lunch included was the worst we had whilst away. Shocked when we were asked to pay for our very over priced soft drinks. Would not recommend. Entrance fees were $30 pp, I'm unclear on how they can charge a further $120 each per person for effectively a driver and a terrible lunch.

Negative experience: Hi there - this is the feedback which I have provided to On The Go tours via their website - I think it's a good guide for you as well: I would like to provide my feedback with regards to the tour in subject (Dubai Stopover - 4 days): I cannot complain massively about the hotel (Rove City Centre in Deira) and the Desert Safari that I have done on the Monday (the guide - unfortunately I don't remember his name, but he works for Knight Tours - was a very funny and nice man, and he was very helpful and caring throughout the whole trip). Unfortunately, I definitely cannot say the same for the half day city tour that I have done on the Sunday (my first tour of this trip - definitely not a good start!): I have been picked up at the hotel by the guide and the driver (once again I don't remember their name, and not even the company they work for - but I did the tour on Sunday 14th, and I was the only one doing it - so not difficult to trace back) anyway, after being picked up and taken to the Dubai Museum, I was then taken via dhow to the Gold and Spice souks, which I was really looking forward to visiting, as they had been highly recommended by some friends of mine: literally as soon as we get off the dhow though, the guide takes me to a shop in the spice souk "to show me what a typical shop here looks like", but - as soon as we go in - I am straight away pushed to buy and buy and buy and buy... the shop owner and the guide were buddies, and of course being on my own in the shop I was definitely put on the spot and pushed by everyone into not leaving without buying anything - ie without buying what they wanted me to buy. At some point I was starting to feel uncomfortable and I just wanted to leave, so I decided to buy some nuts, saffron and moroccan oil just to leave the place and continue the tour.... and do you know much they've charged me for those 3 things?!?!? 400 dirhams - ie 80 British pounds!!!! (82.68 to be more precise...) I know that you are supposed to haggle etc - but even if I'd got to half of that price, I would have spent 40£ for some nuts anyway?!!?! and also, by that time I was feeling so uncomfortable I just wanted to pay and leave that place... But it doesn't end there: as I didn't have that much money on me (I would have never expected to pay 80£ during an organised half day tour!) I asked if I could take some cash out from the nearest ATM, but they didn't even allow me to do that, and pushed me to pay with card (which I'm sure it's fine, but I just didn't want to use my card in a market, and I would have preferred to pay cash); once we left the shop, of course I didn't say anything about how I was feeling to the guide as he was a friend of the spice shop owner and maybe get some shares of the sales too, but I was definitely feeling uncomfortable, mugged off and ripped off... So I really want to make you aware of my experience. Also, we rushed going around the rest of the market, as we "were running late for the continuation of the tour" (ie you've done what you had to do, let's get out of here... ) the rest of the tour has gone fine, I just couldn't enjoy it as I was scared that I would have been asked to buy something at every stop, which luckily has not happened - but definitely what's happened in the spice souk did leave me feeling like a bit of a mug - but then again I don't know how I could have avoided it... I don't know if what happened occurred because I'm a woman, because I was on my own on the tour and in the shop - but it was definitely not a nice experience to have on your first day in a new city, accompanied by a guide who is supposed to "guide" and "look after" you and not make you feel uncomfortable and rip you off, especially as I was travelling on a budget (hence my decision to join a tour!) so I didn't want to spend a lot of money shopping - especially GBP 80 for some nuts, a packet of saffron and a bottle of moroccan oil...

Fantastic experience: Brilliant time! I went on holiday to Jordan with On The Go and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The local guide was brilliant, and everything was organised extremely well, I will be booking again!

Fantastic experience: I just returned from the Ecuador trip and everything was as expected. The hotels were excellent and the tour guide was wonderful. This was my first going with a tour and I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm looking forward to more adventures with this company.

Fantastic experience: Hello On the Go Tours! My friend and I just got back from our 1st Tour with On the Go and I just had to write to you all to tell you about the AMAZING time that we had in Egypt. On the Go Tours is lucky to have such incredible staff members in Egypt. We were on the Pharaoh’s Adventure Tour from October 3-9th, 2017. For the 1st day of our Tour in Cairo we were a part of a smaller 3 person tour with a really nice Tour Guide called Waleed Zayan. Waleed was very knowledgeable and personable and he did an amazing job showing us the Pyramids in Cairo. He speaks about Egypt and its history with great passion and takes his time to ensure that he thoroughly answers any and all questions. He was the perfect Tour Guide and became a good and kind friend of ours. After our Tour with Waleed we travelled to Luxor and joined another group led by a Tour Guide called Alam El Dein. Alam was the perfect tour guide, he had extensive knowledge about Egypt and provided detailed and informative information about the places we visited, but he was also extremely kind and patient and fun. He is very hardworking and goes above and beyond his duties as a Tour Guide. As you can tell from my feedback, I had an amazing time in Egypt, I have travelled to many different countries, but this was the best trip of my life. Egypt itself, it is the most incredible place on earth and its people are simply the kindest people that I have ever met and On the Go Tours and all of its amazing staff, in particular Waleed Zayan and Alam El Dein made this trip extraordinarily amazing. Also a special thanks to Mido who took care of us from the beginning to end of our tour, he was amazing and took really good care of us all. I look forward to sharing my amazing experience amongst all of my family and friends and to booking tours in the near future with your company. Maryam

Negative experience: I am not one to be very negative and I wish what I am about to say was exaggerated when in fact it is not at all. Recently my friend Jocelyn and I booked a tour to Croatia with this company. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to pay $3,000 to essentially travel as if you were going alone. The moment we arrived no one at our hotel had heard of On The Go Tours and there wasn’t anyone else in our tour group. The tour company failed to do their due diligence and as a result, our trip was very disorganized, frustrating and at times even discouraging. We paid $3,000 to never receive a late checkout or early check-in (as promised); instead, we lost days waiting at our hotels to check our luggage in when we should have been exploring in the limited time we had. We called our "contacts" at each city and never received a reply, we didn't have contact with anyone to help us arrange excursions, find places to eat, or places to see. Our drivers would not stop to let us eat or go to the bathroom when it was over an 8-hour drive. We had to pay to do excursions twice because they had not done their proper research for how long each stop should have taken. I am unbelievably disappointed. I am a student so I don't have a lot of money. I thought this company would be a worthwhile investment in order to make sure the trip went smoothly and so we could see as much of Croatia as possible. In the end it was a waste of money. Not only could we have done a much better job of organizing the trip ourselves, we would have saved a lot more money had we done so.

Fantastic experience: On The Go provided terrific tours in both Jordan and Egypt, I would definitely recommend them for these countries. Our friendly tour guide, Ahmed Helal in Egypt, was a very knowledgeable Egyptologist whose english was fantastic.

Negative experience: We booked this trip via a travel agent in Melbourne with On the Go tours who then palmed us off to a company called elite travel. They are dishonest and disingenuous in their commitments. Let me name some of the highlights: The tour was quoted with 4 star hotels...we got 3 star and hostel standard accommodation. Accommodation that when converted to Australian dollars is the equivalent of $60 per night. Four of us were travelling with our luggage. After being picked up from the  Korcula hotel expecting to be dropped off at a catamaran..we find we are expected to get on a small fishing boat and for them to put our 4 LARGE suitcases and 2 Carry cases on top of a boat untided as it navigates the adriatic sea! But thats not all..we are then forced to go to a winery on the way...WE DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL! The tour guide IVO lies his way through it. On arrival on the mainland, when asked how long to the winery he says 2-3 minutes. Then immediately announced on the microphone in the bus that it is a 30 minute drive. Post the winery we then get dropped off just outside of Dubrovnik to take another car to finally reach our hotel. All in all I'm pretty appalled to say the least!! They have been less than impressive when these issues have been raised or acknowledging of any fault.

Fantastic experience: The tour was absolutely amazing. This was a life long dream for my daughter and I to see the wonders of Egypt. Sal went above and beyond the call of duty in not only educating us about both ancient and modern Egypt but showing us a good time. Everything went extremely smoothly and the pace of the tour was just right with a perfect blend of organized activity and personal time. I Cairo, Medu(sp) was wonderful as well, our transfers and check-ins were smooth and when our flight to leave was delayed by 12 hours, he stayed with us at the airport making sure we were taken care of by the airline in getting a room and transfers. Highly highly recommended is all I can say. I plan to use On the Go tours again.

Fantastic experience: I went on the Very Vietnam 10 day trip. It was Amazing, far better than I even imagined it would be. Nguyen our Tour guide was absolutely brilliant he made sure that everyone was happy and enjoying the trip at all times. He made this trip extra memorable. On the Go really makes it a stress free holiday and they make sure that travelers get to see & experience the country. I would never have been able to experience everything that I have had if I wasn't travelling with On The Go. So many inclusions!! The food was extremely good and so were the Hotels that we stayed at. Thank you On the Go & Nguyen.

Fantastic experience: FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE: JEWEL OF THE NILE. Full disclosure: I always thought I did not want to have anything to do with an ‘organised tour’ and have in the past, while acknowledging there is an obvious demand, been a little critical. But when my long term desire to visit Egypt showed no sign of abating, and yet the political instability in this country remained, I saw no option than to bite the bullet, swallow my pride and book at tour. I chose the ‘On the Go’ Jewel of the Nile ten day excursion. I am so very glad I did. Two weeks before the tour was due to leave an attack in Alexandria ensured Egypt strengthened its State of Emergency and I questioned if the journey would happen. “Phil” my representative in London confirmed that it was ‘business as usual’ and if the situation did change I would be the first to be informed. Still with considerable doubts I left in April 2017. The tour has now ended and I am writing to fulfil a commitment I made to a lovely Egyptian man who I came to respect and admire. I do not know when I have enjoyed a holiday more and if there is to be one upsetting component about my experience it is that more western tourists do not ignore the alarmist rhetoric and travel to this wonderful country. I purposely decided not to visit a couple of additional excursions on offer to ensure I would return to see them. And return I will At no time during the ten day tour (nor my additional four days in Cairo) did I feel threatened or un-safe. The Cairo based tour representative met me at the Airport before I had even cleared customs or presented my passport. He held my hand every step of the way and booked me into the wonderful room overlooking the Giza pyramids. My first night in Cairo could not have been better. I was blessed to have the most wonderful tour guide who not only shared his considerable knowledge and pride for his birthplace, interpretations of hieroglyphics, fourteen years guide experience and fluency in English but also shared insights on the political, social and economic fabric of the society. As we passed by deserted hotels and visited temples, museums, places of worship and the iconic pyramids which were receiving few visitors he explained how numbers had declined, from a peak of twelve million prior to 2010 to barely one million. Sadly almost five million people have lost their livelihood as a result. Consequently the pestering from the multitude of street vendors, which we were warned of, was a challenge, albeit an understandable one. Ironically this unfortunate state of affairs granted a fantastic opportunity to those of us who ignored the alarmist rhetoric and visited the sites whose infra structure was designed to accommodate so very many more. Unlike the Empire state Building, Louvre, Vatican or Tower of London where visitors need to book months in advance to secure access, Egypt is devoid of crowds. For us there was no need to wait for tour groups to move on before a photograph can be taken, no lining up to purchase a ticket, no waiting for the crowds to move on. And all which had a number of tourist police and without exception x-ray scanners for bags and purses. If you are ‘sitting on the fence’ and have reservations about visiting Egypt my advice would be to banish these thoughts. Commit now. Although friends, relatives, acquaintances and colleagues will all question your decision and like me, you may feel apprehensive beforehand, these thoughts will disappear upon arrival. It is a wonderful warm country with a history and culture which needs to be seen, appreciated and marveled at. It is a civilization which needs tourism. Go. (Jayne Seagrave is a travel writer based in Vancouver Canada. On the Go Tours did not solicit this article nor provide any incentive. It was written to fulfil a promise she made to her Egyptian tour representative – Ahmed Helal – to do what she could to encourage others to visit his country).

Fantastic experience: On the go Very Vietnam was an awesome 10 day active tour taking us through Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho chi minh. Out Tour guide Hung with a wicked sense of humor really knew his stuff. Our group of 22 learnt customs, history and trivia every where we went our knowledge was certainly well expanded. We experienced Junk boat cruising at Halong Bay, this was a surreal experience staying the night on the boat, canoeing the waters with a superb romantic dinner and next day taking us to explore large caves . Then off on a train ride , temples, shopping, farming, learning to cook Vietnamese and tasting authentic Vietnamese food. We stayed in good quality hotels. Ho An was a highlight for me with the historic buildings massed in flowers lights and lanterns alongside the river. Cruising the Mekong with the floating markets and in Saigon the sobering effect of the war museum. This was a must do, awesome active tour, everything ran perfectly in the organizing so there was no worries. A perfect holiday

Fantastic experience: An excellent tour, highly organised and informative. We had nothing to think about except getting up early and there was even a courtesy call for that too. Luggage collected and delivered directly to room. Great choice of hotels and saw a lot of Sri Lanka in a short time. I would highly recommend this tour and Aktar the guide had a cracking sense of humour too. Lots of laughs along the way.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I toured Vietnam from Hanoi to Hoi An for 8 days with the Best Ever Tour Guide Tran Tuan. It was an Amazing, Vibrant and Culturally Diverse Experience. Over night in Halong Bay on a Junk Boat which was lots of fun, visited Sung Sot Cave - impressive. Hanoi a 1hr cycle tour in Old Quarter (My daughter and I spent 2days seeing Hanoi before tour, well worth it) Over night train to Hue was an Experience!! One I wouldn't repeat, the beds too hard needless to say little Hue was Impressive, 7 course Delish lunch at a local Restaurant in the walled Citadel, a tour of The Imperial Palace - magnificent and lastly the Thien Mu Pagoda -wow, returning by boat to Hotel. In am visited the Royal Tombs - impressive, before heading to Hoi An along Pass of the Ocean Clouds and stopping for lunch at Danang Beach (China Beach) Hoi An is a unique, colourful exciting place where we stayed 3nights. Great for shopping. Highlight was riding on back of Tour Guide's bicycle to Tra Que Village, where we helped prepare a vegetable plot, toured the gardens and enjoyed a 7 course lunch. A great optional tour we did was My Son Sanctuary, majestic ancient ruins of temples. I loved every minute of our Tour of Vietnam Tuan our Guide, went out of his way to make the whole experience a memorable one. Transport was good and Accommodation clean and comfy. I Highly Recommend this Tour

Fantastic experience: This review is for the On the Go Tours - Saigon to Siem Reap trip in southeast Asia. We booked this 9 day trip with the Bangkok express add on, which added one night stay in Battambang Cambodia and they drove us to our hotel in Bangkok. The trip overall was wonderful, well planned and the hotels were all very good. We stayed at Northern Hotel, Harmony Hotel, Angkor Paradise Hotel and the Bambu Battambang hotel. All breakfasts were included, and a few dinners and some lunches. The restaurants they picked were excellent, in both Vietnam and Cambodia. The tour guides were excellent, we had Hung in Vietnam and Long in Cambodia. They were nice, articulate and funny. They also took care of us in regard to providing water and cold wipes, and whenever possible, pulled the bus around so we wouldn't have to walk far in the heat. This tour includes some boat rides, so you will need sunscreen and DEET insect repellent. We had no problems on this trip and were very happy with how everything was handled. We would definitely book another vacation with them again.

Negative experience: Shop Around Before You Book! -- I booked the 9 day Wild Costa Rica trip through On the Go. Before booking, I checked out reviews for this company and they all seemed pretty decent. Booking was easy, the staff were friendly. However, they do not make it clear until after you pay that the trip is operated through a different company. You can find this information in carefully hidden in one line of the 8-page trip notes (I suggest scouring the downloadable trip notes carefully BEFORE booking with this company) and the travel voucher you receive AFTER you pay also has it stated more clearly, but by that time they have your money. I wouldn't mind but for two issues. 1) The price difference for booking through On the Go was $400 more!!!! When I inquired what the price difference covered, the question was not answered. 2) I would have liked to researched the company actually facilitating the tour BEFORE I booked. As it turns out, their partner company was awesome. I highly recommend checking out Tucan Travel before booking a tour like this. They did a great job facilitating the tour. The next time I travel, I will be booking through them directly.
