Negative experience: Was recently stuck in Jamaica during the hurricane- had an email from Virgin, who Newmont booked or ticket through to advise that our flight had been cancelled. Had been dealing with someone called Jack throughout the booking process, we were due to fly back on the 4th- My three late teens children had been booked on a separate booking - Finally managed to get Jack to call me back after sending an email to him, and he advised he could get me on a flight out on 14th - I asked about the other booking and where we were expected to stay- and Jack said he would call me back -I ended up going to the airport in Montego Bay and speaking to the information desk, they advised that they had flights with Virgin going out on 6th, 7th and 8th July - I called back Jack and told him- he said he was not aware of those flights- I asked if we could get our money back to book our own flights out - Jack told me that he had not been advised by Virgin that they had cancelled the flight- which indicates to me that despite our desperate situation, he had not even bothered to call Virgin, to assist us. I advised that i had received an email and i would send it to him, and he would need to send my money - Jack then said he was going on holiday for 9 weeks- do not bother calling him again, and put down the phone, absolutely disgusting behaviour - I was lucky, that i have an outstanding boss that paid for flights for myself and my children- but my concern for those that had booked through Newmont, and could not gain the support i had was really concerning - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- PAY THAT LITTLE EXTRA FOR PIECE OF MIND - I am in the process of contacting a solicitor to get my money back.
Negative experience: Just made a call to newmont and was on hold for 15 minutes. That’s fine. Spoke to someone for approximately 45 seconds and was just querying something with my husband who was sat next to me and the gentleman and I use that term loosely, hung up on me. Disgusting

Negative experience: Newmont resigned from ABTA membership (P6785) in 2021, but they are still claiming to be members. They are purposely misleading their customers who, especially with regards to InterCaribbean Airlines: are being kicked off transfer flights; charged extra for luggage that has been paid for already when returning to the UK, and being charged for new flights and told that Newmont have not authorised their return tickets.
Positive experience: It was OK but what I did not understand is that the interruption when your trying to speak to the agent face to face their phone continuously keeps ringing and they have to stop attending to you holding me back to answer phones that's what I didn't appreciate really sorry
Negative experience: The worst customer service ever. The staff are rude and not helpful. The staff need to be trained on how to conduct themselves professionally and also need customer and people skills training. Will be taking matters further and in future will book directly through the airline company.

Fantastic experience: The only place to purchase your flight well in advance and pay for it in the months before you travel, you save by booking an advance and you dont have to worry about the one-off,high costs of travelling.
Fantastic experience: Love you guys, Please, please, please advise customers of the poor service, delays and cancellations being offered by Inter Caribbean Airlines. If they have connections to make, warn them at booking. The more informed we are, we can make better choices or build some buffer time into our itinerary. My outward journey, inter Caribbean delayed 24hrs. Paid for an overnight stay myself in a local hotel, as we were left at the Airport quite late at night with little information. I'm on my return and sitting in the airport holding a 6hr delay so far. Luckily we decided to have a 2 day stopover so we are only missing restaurant bookings etc.

Negative experience: Absolutely poor customer service. Came to Antigua and unfortunate medical problems means we have to travel back home to England. Newmont have given us the complete runaround with changing our flights. Sent numerous emails to both the website and the email address given by the customer service representative and nothing gets done. They have told us multiple times that they would call back and they never do. We now feel stranded amidst my partner's medical difficulties. AVOID AT ALL COST AND BOOK DIRECTLY THROUGH AIRLINE KF POSSIBLE.

Negative experience: I bought a ticket to fly also bought insurance and covid 19 happens where I got abandoned abroad for 7 months without a phonecall or email as to what next to do, up to now they can't tell me what the insurance I took out is for, only I can't claim as they didn't tell me to extend my insurance to cover myself in a country I don't belong, the insurance also said I can't claim as I didn't check in online with virgin Atlantic although England was already on lockdown and all flight cancelled,and you couldn't even reach virgin customer service by phone unless you prepared to stay all day on the phone listening to automated music and also newmont themselves was not answering their calls straight away,you would be on newmont line holding for over half an hour or more waiting to get through to someone to remind them that you are abandoned abroad and not sure what to do and they have no advice either to tell you what to do,only to tell you they haven't got any update as to when virgin would start flying again but they not taking your mobile number to keep in touch if there's a change although you booked the flight with them , am not sure what anyone else has gone through with them,but covid 19 has affected us all in many different ways, and we are all worried and scared,some of us loss love ones, some of us are fortunate we are alive ,thanks to the mercy of God, but you can't tell me their behaviour is right, never me again with newmont, neither my close relatives,

Negative experience: Like many others my mum has been unable to get home because of the lockdown. When the airports finally opened we called to see if we could book her a ticket home. I was shocked to hear that you would be charging a £45 admin fee. My mum has been a loyal customer for many years. She has always booked her holidays through you and I find it very unfair that you would charge her anything at all to simply put her on another flight that she has already fully paid for. I feel that you are blatantly taking advantage of a pensioner who has no choice in the matter. The person we spoke to said it was to pay for his wages as he had not been furloughed. This is a situation a lot of us are in and it is neither fair nor appropriate. It is not the customers responsibility to pay staff wages. It’s not just the money but the principle as well.
Negative experience: Having used Newmont a number of times in the past, I was left very disappointed by my most recent experience of them. Amongst other issues, a complaint was raised with them and essentially ignored for months and months by both Max and Lindsay. Max never responded at all! The eventual response I received from Lindsay did not deal with the complaint in full and was essentially more about trying to tie me into doing more business with them than a genuine acknowledgement of the issues faced. I will avoid using Newmont in the future wherever possible.
