Negative experience: We stayed for the second time at 14 Belvedere Court Paignton, which has a blue chip 4 star rating. It was disappointing to see the property had deteriorated between visits. On arrival I had to clean mould from the ensuite shower and tiles and noted the mould on the ceiling. The wall behind the bin had been splashed with waste and the tiles in the bathroom were dirty. The oven was also dirty. I cleaned a stain from the carpet and noted a cigarette burn in the carpet near the doors. After two weeks of being home I chased up the security deposit, only to be told the owner had retained the money and we were accused of breaking chairs and damaging a blind. I wouldn't ever trust blue chip ratings again

Positive experience: Bluechip properties are very good. Sadly, the experience of dealing or using the website has deteriorated since they joined other agencies. I used Bluchip for many years, and last year was the first time I tried other options. If the experience with Bluechip had not changed, I probably would still be loyal to them

I really expected better from this company! Who are the property managers answerable to when there is a significant issue... Obviously no one!
Negative experience: hi, had a lovely holiday in Newquay, I have been back 9 days now, I have £150 deposit that now needs to be returned, I can't get though on any number, and then it cuts off after 20 mins. I have messaged on facebook too and no response.

Negative experience: 3 hours on a hold today on 3 separate occasions, trying to get a refund. Clearly not listened to me and re booked the holiday. I wonder if they'll refund my phone charges to 0370 number. Digraceful service, this has nothing to do with Covid .
Negative experience: What has happened to you blue chip? have been booking holidays with you for years now, I understand things are different at the moment but it seems you have not been able to sort out customers issues and concerns, nobody to answer phone call or emails, won't be booking with you again.
Fantastic experience: On hold for 2 hours with a query about my booking, never awnsered. Charging admin fees when ive never spoke to anyone from the company. Edit: Fixed majority of the issues with my booking, included a £500 discount as a special offer and inconveniences. Very happy
Negative experience: Terrible experience, have just arrived at Hustyns Park to find that our booking made through blue-chip does not exist. Tried to call the office and surprise surprise its closed. So here we are in Cornwall after a six hour car journey with no holiday cottage.

Fantastic experience: Truly cannot understand the plethora of awful reviews - we have been using Blue Chip Holidays for years and have never had any problems. Telephone calls and emails have always been straight forward and helpful. We will be booking with them again soon for our autumn break.
Negative experience: The worst customer experience i have ever had. Can't work out what happened but it appears they may have been a good company until mid 2018 at which point the bad reviews speak for themselves. (Please see trustpilot). P.s they are also called vacation rentals. If anything goes wrong they claim they have no responsibility as its all down to the owners if a property is full of mould and dirt. Not only will they not offer compensation they try to move you to more expensive accommodation. The Customer complaints team try to avoid speaking to you on the phone to resolve problems. According to their customer care team it's normal for seaside properties to be damp and mouldy.. When i get time I'll write an essay on trust pilot but I'm too stressed from having to find another property at the last minute so we had somewhere to sleep tonight. I'll need to try and get the expenses back through our insurers.
Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK!!!!!! Extremely unprofessional, accommodation was awful, nothing like the photos, it was dirty and falling apart!! Made a complaint but no help from Blue Chip, when you leave a review with Reevo they reply to it making out it was the customers fault!! This review is 100% accurate DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!
Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK WITH BLUE CHIP HOLIDAYS! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. We have used blue chip holidays for a couple of years with no problem. Then stayed in a property where we had dirty bedding, mice, loads of dead flies, broken t.v., broken whirlpool bath the list goes on. Firstly we asked for the bedding to be changed which did not happen till the next day as it was a Sunday so had to sleep in used bedding. Then in the night saw a mouse so enough was enough and asked to change properties. They were extremely unhelpful never apologised. We were moved to a cramped house miles away with no facilities and told we were not allowed to go back and use the pool etc where we were meant to be staying. It certainly was not a 4 or 5 star house. It was the worst holiday I have ever been on. I will never use this company again. They were rude unhelpful uncaring uncompassionate and completely lacking in customer service. Once they have your money they do not care about you and your holiday experience. Please do not book with this company.
Positive experience: Stayed at Inglenook cottage in Polperro. At first glance it seemed ok. just a bit musty smelling. Discovered the bathroom floor was really dirty after having a shower later the same day. Some of the kitchen stuff had sticky dust on it also. Had to lift the cushions on the rather uncomfortable sofa to find food crumbs, dog hairs, sweet wrapper and general dirt. On closer inspection there were cobwebs and dirt that had clearly been there a long time. Called the house keeper straight away and was told they'd never had a complaint before. She offered to come and clean up for us. I declined her offer as I was planning to leave earlier than originally planned. Considering that I had to pay an extra £100 cleaning deposit I find it quite a joke that they have the nerve to request it and then let out properties in a dirty condition.
Negative experience: Do not touch this company. Today I called to arrange check in for a lodge booked through blue chip to find that the park we had booked (and paid for in full via Blue Chip) was not booked at all and had been let to someone else. In short we now have no holiday. Blue chip's only solution is to offer a full refund but can offer no solution to the fact we now have no holiday to go on. Appalling and hard to believe that a company specialising in holiday lettings are so ridiculously incompetent. If I could post a zero star review this would be a more appropriate rating.
Fantastic experience: I previously left a hasty bad review for this company, my mistake. They went above and beyond to solve an unforeseen problem that was beyond their control. Great service and especially well taken care of by a helpful member of staff called Sarah. Thanks very much.
Negative experience: False advertising on there sites gives you one price when you enquire they double the price avoid at all cost
Negative experience: We've just returned from a Blue Chip holiday and faced nothing but issues. As Blue Chip not only do not own the properties they seem to be incapable of managing them too. Spent our break with dirty kitchen equipment, plates, floors and table, broken sauna, a collapsed sofa, broken (i.e. no) WiFi and no help from Blue Chip, despite calling throughout the week. We are all still appalled.
Positive experience: It got a lot going for you
Negative experience: I Stayed at Southern Halt Horizon 7 and had nothing but issue after issue I was advised that these issue would be investigated and I would receive a refund after the holiday. The lodge was not ready for our arrival and there were dead flies all over the floor the heating was no switched on and so we arrived with two children in the snow to a freezing dirty lodge. There were black bits in the water and so we couldn't use the water in both bathrooms. We had to boil all water we used to make sure it was safe and we called Blue Chip the first day and second day we were there and weren't offered alternative accommodation. The fridge was filthy the plates, cutlery, trays etc were all dirty too. We had hailstones coming in through the roof also. Finally two weeks after having written a letter of complaint including photos and videos to support these issues.I have been offered 15% refund! That's an insult considering the issues we had. So this is their idea of customer service when challenged on this they are apparently only an intermediary and the contract is with the owner not Blue Chip so please be warned before booking with this company as you obviously have no rights at all when booking with them.

Negative experience: We booked a holiday in Devon Bigbury-on-Sea It was a great experience and a great time On are returning home I had a phone call and a email to say that that the owner said we had taken 2 mattress protectors Which I said we hadn't. Finally got an email saying that they just need cleaning and would be charged £48 for. Don't they wash such items anyway? This has left me not wanting to use there service again.
Negative experience: I recently booked an apartment through Blue Chip for a week's holiday but arrived at the property after a four-hour drive and with two young children to find that they had given us the wrong key. The landlord is blaming blue chip, Blue Chip are blaming the landlord and told me that if I don't like it I should take action through a third party. After our experience I would recommend that you do not take the risk of using Blue Chip
