From the day I started booking in Uk to the last day here at airport. The Driver Ajith very knowledgeable and excellent host to Sri Lanka. Not once he complained always smiling and graceful. Negative experience: **Review of Chris, Sales Manager at LastMinute.com / The Flights Guru** Booking a holiday through LastMinute.com, apparently tied with The Flights Guru, has been an absolute nightmare due to the disgraceful customer service provided by Chris, the sales manager. I originally booked a hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica, for my grandmother’s funeral. Despite clearly communicating this need, Chris booked me a hotel in Falmouth—over 50 minutes away from Montego Bay—leaving me to bear taxi fares of over £200 just to attend the funeral. I have emailed him repeatedly to correct this, yet he hasn't responded once. Their emails claim that any changes to bookings should be addressed ASAP, which I’ve done multiple times. I even went so far as to ask Chris to contact me via WhatsApp while I'm currently in Bali, where I’m on vacation, returning to the UK on November 13th. When he failed to respond, I even had a friend in the UK call him to urge him to get in touch. Despite all this, he still couldn’t be bothered to address my concerns. I also needed my return flight on November 21st rescheduled to arrive back by midday, as previously arranged by his colleague, for my wife’s birthday. Chris agreed to do this but then left it at the original 4:15 pm arrival time, completely disregarding my request. The stress caused by this experience has been overwhelming, especially as I’m abroad with limited options to rectify it. Shockingly, Chris even had the audacity to ask me for a 5-star review on Trustpilot and here, based solely on my initial booking. This company has far under-exceeded my expectations, with a complete lack of accountability or customer service. This will be my first and last experience with LastMinute.com and The Flights Guru. Save yourself the frustration—this is an organization that cares about nothing but their commission. Chris trie threatening if I didn't take down my honest review he even tried to bride me with a £50 voucher off my next holiday like I'd ever use these again. Be careful people of the uk there not a uk company they say it's a London based company but it's actually based in India they massively over charge people as I asked the hotel stsff in Jamaica how much it would cost me they said £650 for five nights Chris charged me £2,500 on top that I had to fork out over £300 in taxis because Chris put Me in a hotel over an hour from where I was meant to attend my grandmother’s funeral he had no respect don't use this company

Fantastic experience: We returned a week ago from a trip to Sri Lanka. Everything was very well organised and thoughtfully put together. We were met at the airport by a Flight Guru representative and our lovely driver Chanaka. Chanaka was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. He really made our trip very memorable. His English is excellent and he is a very safe driver. We saw so much. We also saw a lot of wildlife in 2 half day safari’s. Negative experience: I recently booked a flight through The Flights Guru and while the agent I dealt with was helpful, the reason I chose to go through an agency was for peace of mind—particularly when things go wrong. Unfortunately, in this case, there doesn’t seem to be any alternative or solution offered. Due to unforeseen court proceedings regarding access to my children, I can no longer take the flight. Despite reaching out to both the agency and the airline, there seems to be no flexibility, no option for credit, or even a change in the flight dates without being asked to pay significantly more—another £1800 on top of the original flight cost. It’s incredibly frustrating that no one can help, and I’m left with no other option but to lose the money entirely. While this isn’t aimed at the agency specifically, it feels like the system as a whole—whether on the airline side or through the agency—offers little recourse when unexpected situations arise. I’d hoped that booking through an agency would provide more options or support in this kind of situation, but it seems that’s not the case. For those booking flights, be aware that if something outside of your control happens, finding a resolution may be much harder than anticipated.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous of booking an International flight. I haven't made one for a number of years. I am so glad and grateful that Rachel guided me with patience and good humour through the unfamiliar process. I am so glad that I've booked my important Christmas flight and I was able to do it with a deposit and and the rest due at the end of October. Fantastic experience: Although the website has some unrealistic best offers I knew what the true price range would be for my period of travel. Edward was professional and very well trained in his job. He was friendly and patient throughout the booking and a pleasure to do business with. He took on board everything I said to him, made valid suggestions and adapted the choices to suit my preferences with no hard selling. He had good knowledge and had a full repatoire of available flights for us to choose from.
