Negative experience: Galaxy Holidays are a joke. We booked a 7 night holiday to Rhodes in August 2024. When booking we were allocated The Tivoli Hotel, Falaraki. We were promised a sea view, or a pool view, we got neither. When we arrived at the hotel, (02.25 am), we find the hotel all in darkness, reception was locked and there was no one to check us in. After an hour of trying to get someone to help, I noticed a piece of A4 paper sticking out from a plant pot, it had my name on it and the room key was attached. We got to the room, unlocked the door but could not find any power; no lights, no air conditioning, we were distraught. Using our mobile phone torches we managed to get in. The bathroom door did not close, the toilet seat was not attached and there were bugs all over the floor and the bedding was dirty. One of our towels looked like it had been used to clean the toilet. As soon as daylight happened we went to reception, complaining about the state of room, no view, no lighting, no power, bathroom grotty and basically the level of cleaning being non-existent. The reception staff said they would look into it, but couldn’t change our room, they were full, (they were not). We contacted Galaxy, they were not at all helpful. Galaxy emailed requesting evidence, we provided images of everything, they did not respond. I chased for the remainder of the week, but no help. Our holiday was ruined, having a room which was unfit for habitation and nowhere to relax took the edge off our holiday. Since we returned to the UK I have chased and chased Galaxy Holidays, they keep asking for time to check out our claim, then they go quiet and I have to chase again… Galaxy Holidays are a total bunch of cowboys, they take your money, promise wonderful things then drop you. We will never use them again. The regulator needs to review their practices. The hotel we stayed in requires a bulldozer, really awful and well away from central facilities. The road running alongside the hotel was a main road, no pavement and you really did take your life in your hands every time you went out.

Negative experience: Worst holiday experience of my life. Would rate them 0 even though I have used them a few times for poor customer service and lack of attention to concerns and complaints. Our flight was booked incorrectly by the agent and he sent us a confirmation with the date we asked for but not knowing it was the wrong date. He took £250 from our credit card and has not refunded it back. He did not inform us that our connecting flight will be from a different airport terminal, so on our arrival we nearly missed the next fight to our destination as we had a short time to transfer to the other terminal. We paid for baggage during our booking but was surprised to see that only one was paid for. On our return one of the minor in our group was not on the flight- 1st flight. I called a few times from abroad for assistance but no one helped. There was so much delay in getting the information I needed from Galaxy on call team as we could not check in On arrival to get on our last flight back to UK. We were told our booked flight left the day before. What kind of silly mistake was that? We could not flight back and had to pay premium rate to get another flight back to UK for a group of 8 people and had to travel an hour plus to a different airport where we flew back home. I have tried to call and email but it has fallen on deaf ears. I will be taking this matter further no matter how long it takes me.

My daughter paid for a holiday for her family to be with me for my 50 th birthday. . She paid two lots of money for her holiday £399 and £2395 . From start to finish I originally rang this company to book a holiday for me and my 13year old son to go to benidorm as we have family members out there who where also booking around the same time. On booking the holiday everything seamed fine, then 1 hour later the holiday company rang me back saying that holiday wasn’t available cut the long story short going on other people reviews they demanded more money for this holiday, I work away a lot so I just paid what was asked, little did I know there was no transfers with this holiday.. more cost around 200 pounds in total, they put the incorrect information on the holiday for my son he was an adult?? When checking in 24hrs before departure I couldn’t because the date of birth was incorrect Rang them to sort the mastake out, they couldn’t do it said I had to go to Ryanair at the airport which to the 1 hour 40 mins to put the mistake correct costing me then again as I had to pay for his luggage as it was a new boarding pass, so stress at the airport no relaxing time at all! On the arrival of our hotel they put us in a hotel there where girls laid out all over the floors drunk groups shouting until 5-6 pm most mornings!! Never again!! Negative experience: Part of delta holidays aswell. Not to be mistaken for the delta vacations USA ****DO NOT USE***** I got quoted a price for a holiday and paid the deposit. They then came back and said I had to pay £80 per person more for the flights. I had already agreed to upgrade my room! The cost originally was £656 plus £80 for upgrade. After additions that I had not agreed the cost was just under £1000. Absolute thieves. They refused to return deposit although they could not fulfil the contract I had agreed with them and told me to fight it in court! And so I will!

Negative experience: WARNING !! HOLIDAY BOOKINGS !!!!! May 2024 This is a WARNING to all that are trying to book a holiday for any occasion.. if there way to give nothing for the experience, I would. Unfortunately no blame to the the girl that was helping me with my family holiday, she tried her best to find the best destination for me and my kids and we did, I paid a deposit and was told to pay the full amount a week before departure..I thought fantastic!! told my kids and was so excited to go. But then I saw there was no payment taken out of my account, so decided to contact the girl that took my booking.. but then I got a call from the manager demanding a further deposit for a larger amount, I was confused at this time and said it was all agreed when I made the booking, that full payment will be made a week before departure. He demanded more money for them to guarantee my booking, it felt like pressure was being put on me, if I don't pay the extra my holiday would be cancelled.. I refused to pay more, so they decided to cancel my holiday and offered to refund my deposit. I was so disgusted with this company and thought others should be aware of this company.. I would suggest that go with a company that is well known and pay the extra.. This company works on pressure selling and demands customers to pay more so they earn more.. furthermore there was no fault of the girl that helped me find a great holiday, she only works there and her hands are tied.. ALL I SAY IS BEAWARE..money is hard to earn and fraudsters are there to take what they can..

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will take your money and avoid you if you have a problem! Paid them for car hire abroad, when we went to collect car, they wanted another £400 for insurance (even though I had ‘paperwork’ which stated the insurance and what was covered!) we decided to get a taxi which cost 100 euros! Eventually after several calls and messages spoke to someone who told me they would get a supervisor to call me back. (one guy answered, didn’t understand what I was saying, asked if I wanted to book a holiday and when I said no, he hung up!) This was within the time window for me to get a refund! No one called me back. I tried to call every day and had nothing… no calls back and no messages! I’m sure they have blocked my number now! Nearly 3 weeks later and nothing! Negative experience: FURTHER UPDATE - 20/05/2024 0 update, reply, refund/compensation. I will now take further action.Absolute scam of a company!!! UPDATE - 30/04/24 We have been home since Wednesday.. no one’s been in contact as expected and no update. Yet to receive ANY kind of communication or refund!! - My partner and I are currently in Türkiye and have been since last Wednesday. Originally booking with Jordon who was really helpful and offered us some extras shall we want them. As my partner and I are approaching our 2 year anniversary we agreed to pay the extras. We paid extra (£200) for transfers and room upgrades (beach view, larger room) & wine on arrival in our room, however when we arrived, our room was tiny. You couldn’t even fit on the balcony properly, and as we are smokers this was an issue for us meaning we had to sit on a railing on the roof to both be able to fit comfortably. We had a view of bush land and no wine as told! We didn’t complain as we were just happy to finally be on holiday! We arrived at nearly 1am and had missed all food and drink (all inclusive) and were told if we wanted food we would have to order it from a takeaway. There was none of these around. The hotel was in an awkward place and my partner and I did not feel comfortable walking around at that time of night. We again, didn’t complain, and went up to our room and to sleep. Waking up the next day to us both excited for what’s ahead! We had breakfast which was standard and asked for a vodka and coke, I’m not sure what this hotel classes as vodka but whatever that was, tasted nothing like it and tasted purely like chemicals. I decided I didn’t want to drink any more of that so changed up and asked for a sex on the beach which tasted pretty standard. They also have a bar which you can pay for cocktails and these were 10x more attractive so my partner and I paid for 1 each. At this point my partner and I had only 3 drinks in total… Half an hour after this, I passed out it by the pool and I cannot remember absolutely anything of what was the further happen. The hotel then proceeded to remove my partner and I from the hotel, absolutely man handling me and covering me in bruises head to toe. (I have photo evidence of this! I am COVERED!!!). We were then removed by the police who told us they would help us and take us to a new hotel free of charge for the night. They didn’t do this.. they proceeded to go through my sexual photos on mine and my partners phone, showing this to other colleagues both man and female. At this stage, my partner and I had come to sense again and the police left us in another part of Türkiye with no hotel as promised. We then released that a lot of our items were taken from the hotel, bank cards, shoes, all of our travel cash. We were stranded, stressed and scared. We had also paid deposits for towels (which we never received) and they kept this too. I was lucky enough to find a cheap hotel near by which let us stay the night understanding our situation and told us where to go the following day to get cash etc. I had contacted Daniel at this point and he phoned me 2 hours later to explain he would get this sorted for me yet.. here we are… 5 days later.. no responses… no updates.. no refunds.. no communication. We have less then 48 hours until we are supposed to fly home but we still aren’t getting any response as to where they will now pick us up from as we have had to find yet ANOTHER hotel for the remainder of our stay. We are absolutely appalled by the way we have been treated and the service that has been provided. We had read some really good reviews but also a lot of bad reviews and prior to all the issues everything seemed okay apart from the 24 hour delay in receiving any confirmation of our flights, accommodation and transfers etc. I even contacted Jordan yesterday too as Daniel is ignoring my messages. We are still none the wiser and still left with no money. They’ve not been helpful to our urgent situation in the slightest. The most stressful holiday I have EVER been on

I paid and now they cannot provide the holiday but expect me to pay almost £200 additional accommodation costs. This happened within 30 mins of initial agreement. Negative experience: Here's one to avoid..Galaxy holidays. They all use fake names, they write their own reviews. They sent us to the hotel from hell in Marmaris, Turkey. Miles from the resort and to a place which looked like a down town slum from a war zone. Within 2 hours of arriving at the "Grand Villa Sol apartments" as it's called we had dumped the bags and gone out in search of food, fended off 2 muggers and returned. On our return the state of the place became immediately apparent. Cupboard doors, hanging off, filth everywhere, holes in sheets, blood stained mattresses, no working aircon, no working TV, bare wires protruding from walls, electrical outlets actually inside the shower (which we didn't use) after itching for a couple more hours we walked out, dumping the key on the desk. We walked for about 2 more hours to the resort area where I paid for a decent hotel. from that point on the holiday was great until it came to getting home. despite telling galaxy holidays what had happened and where we were they failed to get us transferred to the airport so I had to get a taxi. My only regret is I didn't get more photos of that hell hole hotel but we were too concerned with getting out of there. Galaxy Holidays absolutely refuse to refund part of the holiday despite the fact that every part of it they arranged was vile and horrible, even the flight was awful! They claim your holiday is 100% financially protected via the ATOL scheme. This is a LIE, ATOL is only for flights if the company goes bust and I'm not even sure they are a member of that, they don't display their membership number. In Summary, I would rather spend a week in a dustbin outside a food outlet than go on a holiday with Galaxy holidays.

Negative experience: I've had a few online conversations the price is increased with no explanation. When you actually get a response to your question for a brake down of the cost it dosent add up. Negative experience: I booked this holiday was told 4 star was a 2 star he didn't tell about an extra cost after you already pay for your hotel which none refundable then rang and said the hotel as rejected as its fully booked but he told me previous that it was already booked for me when I arrived at the hotel I was told I was only there 6 nights when I paid for 7 they classed me flying early hours as my 7th and the hotel told me I can't check in till 2pm on the 31st but I booked from 30th then when all this was sorted the hotel told me I can't have my room because galaxy had not paid the hotel so I spent most of my first day trying to sort this mess out hotel was a dive food was rubbish pool was dangerous rooms and hotel was old run down and falling apart even the hotel is self admits to being 2 star max fair play to them bit galaxy sell it as a 4 star my advise stay clear of this company you be wasting you money and after I told the agent I was not happy and I won't ne using them again he replied its ok sir we are not short of customer

Negative experience: Started off so well. Mis-sold our package, stating in the email confirmation that this included 1-20kg hold case and they 'decided' to remove it and only give us 10kg carry on cases instead in place for a Priority pass. Now we need to pay £120 on top now to add this back on. They will not admit this is a mistake on their behalf, still trying to deal with this now and not being helpful. We wouldn't have used them if this is the case as it would've been cheaper going elsewhere.

Positive experience: Don't not book with this company, trust me! Run the other direction! They pull you in on cheap prices but the stress, back-pedalling they do is not worth it. They promise you all the bookings you made are secure and when it's time to claim or be compensated they shift responsibility and pretend they didn't do such thing. Negative experience: Unfortunately, the customer services was really really poor. Made a booking for Cyprus for a few weeks time with Angel Smith many months ago where we were told 10KG luggage with some measurements (40x25x20). However we werent told that this was the size for a laptop bag. We repeated multiple times about 10kg baggage but no one told us this is a laptop bag size and persistently encouraged us to book or the price will change. However, i admit this is partially my fault for not checking the measurements. Now that the issue has been raised, no one will help us and customer services and complaints have been promising a call back in 4 days but its been 7 days now and no call back. We changed the hotel to once that they also offer and at the time of booking, Angel Smith promised us to check the food to ensure there was suitable vegetarian options as we consume halal diet. She also advised us that there will be all required facilities but for us to contact her a few weeks before departure for her to send an email to the hotel with these things requested as they are partnered with these hotels. She has replied to my email saying we chose and changed the hotel and should check for ourselves and that she read the original hotels details but not the changed hotel. Neither will a request email be put through. I normally dont leave reviews or comment with negativity as long as issues are resolved because mistaked happen but there was no cooperation by this company or Angel. We are yet to fly out and i hope the holiday goes well in comparison to what the situation is like at present.

Negative experience: We already come to Alicante ... its 8:30 we waiting for transfers and is nobody here... running over the airport to find a transfer then phone galaxy and they said we need to take our own transport ... after a 10 minutes of phone calls they transfer us to our destiny which is a bus .... transfer should leave 9:05 pm its already 10;00 we still waiting to leave ... lots of stress , hopefully soon we will start heading to hotel and waiting for another "bad suprises" . Only what i can reccomend at the moment is sid who care about us while we made a booking .... oh forgot to mention the transfer not going to our final destination we need to walk from one place to our hotel ....
