Arrived at the hotel to find out they overbooked so I rang LycaFly who were completely useless and even tried putting the blame on me for not notifying the hotel what time I was going to arrive even though I had paid fully for the room. However, when i tried to book my new flight Lycafly wanted an additional £1200 (!) -, or they would refund £400. I took the refund, complained to the airline who said I should have been able to fly, so they agreed to a full refund. Negative experience: Don't use this firm We bought 5 x flight tickets before the Covid pandemic started and could not travel due to global restrictions. Majority of the airlines fully refunded the tickets out of goodwill due to the pandemic and ours (Qatar) did too. Lycafly instead of acting in goodwill like the rest, decided to charge us for £30 per ticket for refund for doing absolutely nothing. The initial booking was done online and all they had to do is initiate a refund on the airline system (less than 5 mins work) as the airline would not make direct payments to us due to rules they have to follow. My Sister had bought the same tickets for her family through another travel agent and they did not charge a single penny for the refund. The airline took sometime to refund and Lycafly did not contact me advising the refund had been issued. They sat on the money hoping I would forget about it. When I contacted them 6 months later asking for an update - they informed that the refund had been received but they did not have my bank details on the system - so could not refund. (No attempt to contact me was made to get my details - they had my email, phone / address from the time of the booking - so obviously hoping I forget so they can pocket my refund) Even after that - it took them 6 weeks to refund the money after various emails sent. (excuse was issue with the system) Be very careful as this company owners have no morals.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Had to cancel my flight due to covid and they tried to charge me over £400 “admin fee”. Argued with them and got it down to £100 but so poor to see a company benefiting from peoples misfortune/illness. I get that covid has been a nightmare for the travel industry, but making money from people who genuinely can’t travel through no fault on their own is abhorrent. Negative experience: Tried booking some tickets through their website twice, and in both times I got a msg after filling in all the details saying that my payment was not processed and that I had to call them with a reference number. When I called them I got an agent telling me that only 2 of the 3 tickets are available with price I booked and that I had to pay extra £85 for the 3rd ticket.
