Negative experience: We had an awful experience. We were missold the location of a hotel, and when we rang to complain, Sophie was rude, arrogant and lacked human decency to the point where she hung up on me mid-sentence. I would never recommend using this agent for a holiday and would strongly advise against it. If I could post a review with 0 stars, I would. Hugely disappointed with the service provided.

Negative experience: SCAM SCAM SCAM! Avoid!!! Booked a trip on Wowcher with travelolo as the provider, everytime I called to make the arrangements, they said noones available, someone will call me back. Everytime not a single call back was made. They take your money and then ignore. We’re meant to be going on this holiday in 3 days and they keep avoiding me. Wowcher don’t want to know and now I’ll lose out on the money I spent. It’s a shame companies like this exist.

Negative experience: Appalling Service from Travelolo – Completely Ignored and Let Down My experience with Travelolo has been absolutely disgraceful. After booking a mystery holiday through Wowcher, all communication and responsibility was handed over to Travelolo – and that’s where everything fell apart. I have been completely ignored by Travelolo since the moment I booked. I’ve emailed multiple times with no response whatsoever. On the few occasions I’ve managed to get through to someone by phone, I’ve either been hung up on or given no useful information at all. It’s clear they have no interest in actually helping customers once they’ve taken your money. When I finally received the location of the destination, it was entirely unsuitable for both me and my friend – something any half-decent travel company would have taken into account. But again, I was met with silence when I tried to raise concerns or request support. I even paid extra for additional protection, which was meant to help in cases like this. That too has turned out to be a total scam. I’ve received no help, no information, and no refund options – just complete radio silence. Travelolo’s customer service is genuinely non-existent, and the way they treat paying customers is appalling. I feel completely let down, misled, and ignored throughout the entire process. Do yourself a favour and avoid Travelolo at all costs – they are unreliable, unprofessional, and impossible to contact when something goes wrong.

Negative experience: I wish I had checked these reviews first. Yep they pulled the same scam with me. “We have been trying to contact you for a few days and need you to confirm now.” First offer would have been rubbish flights with a long and expensive transfer late at night, but for only £99pp more, you can change your location to a better one. How did I not see that coming? Needless to say, after comparing the booking with some quick research, I paid way over the odds.

Negative experience: Fraudulent company. Tried making a booking with Wowcher, they tell you the flight times but don't actually book them. Then when you chase up the flight details it doesn't exist and they trying charging you more. Do not trust this company. They also give false information and do not stick to GDPR laws. This company needs shutting down

Negative experience: DO NOT USE TRAVELOLO – A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE From the moment I booked my holiday through Woucher (which uses Travelolo), it has been a nightmare. Just three days before departure, I had to call Travelolo four times due to lack of confirmation. Eventually, I was told the holiday I had paid for was fully booked, and if I wanted to go, I’d need to pay an extra £189 per person. I told them this was not feasible, and they simply said there was nothing they could do. They pushed me to contact Woucher for a refund, who in turn sent me straight back to Travelolo. After being bounced back and forth, I’ve now spent almost three hours on the phone and sent countless emails trying to resolve this — and still, they refuse to help or refund me. All they seem to want is more money. No customer care, no accountability. I’ve now been forced to consider legal action, especially given that Travelolo has already been taken to court multiple times. I’ve asked for a full refund — which is more than fair under these circumstances — and they’ve flat-out refused. This review is to warn others: Avoid Travelolo at all costs.

Negative experience: STAY AWAY! Like most of the other people below, my friend bought me 2 surprise holiday Wowchers for my birthday. 30 seconds after redeeming the code online a pushy sales agent calls and starts explaining the holiday included will only be for one day in Lithuania with 2 days of travel. He then talks me into upgrading and spending more money to get a holiday in Spain. I reluctantly agreed and hurried through the process. Once I get my booking through I can see they have booked a 3 star hotel in the middle of knowhere with some of the worst reviews Ive ever seen. Not somewhere I would want to go to die let alone a nice break with the wife! Will be emailing Wowcher so they can remove these people as partners of theirs and claiming the money back through my bank

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting company. Booked a short cruise through Wowcher and redeemed the code instantly. Was told we would get a confirmation email within 2 working days, spoiler, we never did. Gave them a call to be told that the cabin that was booked isn't available and we would have to change dates but their would be a price difference. Among all of this we received terrible customer service and was spoken to horrendously with snide comments made by their representatives. Please if you want to save yourself money and stress avoid this company! Will be continuing to book all future holidays through love holidays as I have in the past.

Negative experience: Hi, I have booked a holiday through wowcher and someone from your team called us today to confirm. We chose north west flights as we live up north however when called we were told we were flying from Stansted and had to pay £40 extra to fly from Manchester. When I queried this the agent was rude and stated we were never given the option and the Wowcher deal is booked on the fact that it flys from London airport. I cannot see this on the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions of wowcher state you get a minimum of 40 hours on a 2 night break, the flight times given to us did not mean we got that. We were given no other options other than other dates which we cannot do and the agent was not providing us other options without saying it was too much money. The agent then told us if we paid £40 each he would then be able to refund us the holiday amount. When I queried this later on, he stated he never said this and called me a liar. He continuously put the phone down on us, when we asked to speak to someone else he said it was only him who worked for yourselves and there was no one else to speak to which I highly doubt. I’d like to request a full refund of this booking as it is not as advertised and described and we have not confirmed any flights or hotels for this. Under UK law I am requesting a full refund until the 14 day cooling off period. Thanks Jasmine Smith

Negative experience: I’ve booked a holiday through Wowcher to Rome with them. I go tomorrow and am dreading it. I tried to cancel after my first phone call with a very aggressive agent. He said I couldn’t get my money back. I ended up paying more as it wasn’t 3 nights as advertised. Ive founds out just now that this surprise holiday is to a hotel known for serious bed bugs. I’m at a loss as to how to proceed from here.

Negative experience: The worst travel agents I have dealt with! Hanging up the phone every time I ask a question, trying to transfer me again just hang up. When they wanted more money off me for some unexplained fee they asked me if I had enough money, not sure why wowcher seem to use these as there is no contact number for wowcher either. Stay away from these and don’t bother with the wowcher deals, if it seems to good to be true it most likely is.

Negative experience: Absolute Scam! Bought a mystery holiday via. Wowcher ( review also left on wowcher as I can't believe wowcher are allowing this scam artist to continue to rip people off!. Literally minutes after buying 2 vouchers. I received a call from the most unprofessional travel agent, I have ever come across ( wasn't expecting a lot but figured, given the abundance of European city breaks a available, I might land a couple of days in a hot city, nope!!! Got offered 2 nights in Copenhagen in September ( night flight so wouldn't get there until stupid o clock which would not allow enough time to explore anything. Not to mention, Copenhagen is cold in September and unbelievably expensive for food and drinks. If you check love holidays, you will not only get a better service but a cheaper and better holiday! What a joke!!!... Basically your wowcher holiday voucher is not a mystery holiday, it's merely a deposit to tie you into booking with this company as it's unlikely people will stick with the original holiday offer. In my case 1.5 days in Copenhagen...if it wasn't so corrupt, it would be funny

Negative experience: DONT USE THIS COMPANY I’ve had a deeply troubling experience with Travelolo that I feel compelled to share to warn others. Misleading Cancellation Information: I was clearly told over the phone that my holiday would be automatically cancelled if payment wasn’t made by the 20th. That date came and went—and the holiday was not cancelled. This false information added to an already coercive experience. Consent Under Duress: Travelolo claims I gave verbal and written consent to proceed with a holiday booking. This is absolutely untrue. I was pressured into replying to an email within a single minute of receiving it—no time to properly review the details. I never paid the additional charges nor submitted passport information. That means the booking was completed without full, informed consent, violating UK consumer law. Data Protection Breach: I submitted a legal Subject Access Request under the UK GDPR. Travelolo has ignored it, despite the 30-day deadline. If not resolved by 13th June, I’ll be reporting this to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Aggressive Sales Tactics: The conduct of their agent “Andy” was unacceptable—pushy, patronising, and unprofessional. This behaviour falls under aggressive commercial practices as outlined in consumer protection laws. I’ve reported this to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards and am preparing to escalate to the ICO and the Small Claims Court. Also, be wary of the number of suspiciously positive reviews on here. Travelolo seems to be burying genuine complaints under a pile of fake 5-star ratings. Please think twice before booking with them. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Negative experience: Bought a Wowcher deal which specified the Amsterdam hotel we'd be staying at. When talking to Travelolo we were offered an early morning flight to return. I said could we have a later one and was willing to pay extra. However in doing that we were also told it would have to be another hotel? Don't see how a change of flight affects the hotel. So they wanted an extra 75% extra on what I'd already paid. Scam comes to mind I genuinely question the legality of what they've done here. If the hotel mentioned isn't available surely the deal is unavailable? With some Wowcher deals it listed 2 possible hotels this one mentioned just one. In sure the ASA would find this against their rules. EDIT After threatening legal action Wowcher have refunded me. Keep going and you will get your money back. The call Travelolo a trusted partner yet their reviews say different. If you see the Wowcher deal is with Travelolo avoid at all costs

Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVELOLO complete scam artists. Booked a holiday through wowcher, initially thought I’d got a bargain. But they did the same thing they have done to the rest of the people who have booked through wowcher. They offered rubbish flights and also a completely different hotel, offered better flights and hotel for an additional £90!! EACH. Trying to go through wowcher for a refund. The customer service advisor Sean is an absolute disgrace, rude and completely dismissive. Happy to take them to trading standards as the description didn’t match the holiday offered. Supposed to have at least 40 hours in the destination but we would’ve only had 31. With the inbound flight landing at 10pm and outbound departing at 6am. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!

Negative experience: SCAM, MISLEADING, LIARS, BARELY OPERATING W/IN THE LAW Dear Andy, I’m kindly asking if you would inform me of the name of your CEO and the full address of your head office - since these are my rights. I’ve previously requested a refund, to which I’m lawfully entitled to within 14 days with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You previously told me on the phone I was unable to cancel, which was a false statement. You also continued with the holiday booking, despite my prior attempts to cancel. We will seek legal help if you don’t comply with our requests. If you could also include your ABTA membership number and your ITE/Travel Trust Association membership number. I will be reporting you to the TTA.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Booked a holiday almost a month ago and had nothing but hell since. They didn’t contact me once with flight information or to reassure me they were booking it. After reading the reviews I decided the best option was to cancel within the 14 day money back period but they have been avoiding every communication since. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes at least, just to speak to customer service with no real answers. Still waiting for my refund and will be escalating as far as I can. Edit- after countless phone calls and outright unprofessional service, I have received a full refund. Don’t let them try to tell you they can’t refund, it’s blatantly in their t&cs that you can be fully refunded if you request within 14 days. They will lie and say they can only give you credit but that is untrue. Good luck!

Negative experience: Booked a wowcher deal was told someone would contact me withing 48 hours I tried calling them i sent emails and got nothing back when I finally got though to them long story short they offered me less time at my destination then was advertised which was alright but was lied too on the phone they wanted to change my destination which I didn't want they told me transfer cost would be about 200euros due to arriving at my destination at midnight until I told them I already looked on uber and its 20euros I was also told I would need to check out the hotel at midnight for a 6:35 in the morning flight asked why and was told coz no one will be on the desk to check us out after all that then the flights was unavailable and they told me to withdraw from the deal with wowcher who said its on travelolo worst experience and don't even get a holiday and at the moment £200 down

I called them to gain the information and I was told that they can’t get access from where they are and someone who can will call me back during the day. Negative experience: We purchased a wowcher package to Mykonos, package stated what hotel and facilities would be included. We were required to call the travel agent and were asked to redeem our voucher without first being advised that the hotel on the package was supposedly unavailable and the flights for an earlier time needed to be changed for more £. The hotel options that were provided were nothing comparable to the original hotel stated on our wowcher package. In fact we were being asked to pay more for a hotel and flights that were substantially cheaper if we were to book ourselves. Nothing has been resolved and quite frankly we have been scammed. Would highly not recommend. Avoid at all costs!!!

Negative experience: Avoid Travelolo – Misleading Advertising & Hidden Charges! I booked a 3-night Lanzarote holiday package through Wowcher, fulfilled by Travelolo, and it was a complete scam. The trip was misleadingly advertised, packed with hidden fees, and backed by terrible customer service. 1. False Advertising on Holiday Duration – The flight provided by Travelolo departed at 9 PM, meaning we arrived in Lanzarote at midnight. This meant we lost a full night of our paid accommodation, making the "3-night" package completely misleading. 2. Hidden Fees & Pressure Tactics – Travelolo then pressured us into paying an extra £100 for a "better flight time." Why should we pay extra for something that was advertised as already available? It felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic to get more money from customers. 3. Fake "Solutions" That Cost You More – Instead of actually fixing the issue, Travelolo tried to convince us they were helping by offering a new holiday package—but with even more extra charges! Why should we pay more to fix their misleading booking? 4. Terrible Customer Service – Resolving this issue was exhausting and frustrating. Travelolo and Wowcher kept passing the blame back and forth, leaving us stuck with no refund option. They clearly take your money first and figure out the details later. 5. Hotel Not Even Available! – To make things even worse, when we asked to confirm our hotel stay, we found out the hotel had NO availability, despite Travelolo already taking our payment. This was the final proof that their bookings are not even real! This entire experience was stressful, frustrating, and a complete waste of time and money. Travelolo cannot be trusted, and I strongly warn others against booking with them. Before you book with Travelolo, READ THIS and think twice!

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. This travel agent is knowingly selling stays at infested hotels as 'upgrades'. Apparently they don't offer refunds even when the accommodation is not fit for purpose (apparently consumer rights don't apply to this company specifically as they're above the law). Negative experience: Absolutely AVOID AVOID! Disgusting behaviour by Travelolo, false advertising, gaslighting, lying customer service. Booked 2 nights break to Rome to be told the flight leaving 21:00 from London landing at 00:30 was part of the deal! So my first night is on the flight, really!!! They then wanted to charge me more for a whizz air flight that costs £42 per person but asked for £89!pp Customer service was absolutely shocking and so so rude! Negative experience: Worst travel agency ever . Complete scam of a company, do not use. Advertised a MINIMUM of 40 hours in our trip destination only to find out we would actually have only 30. Our trip was for 2 days but they said our flight arrives at midnight, so we would have to sleep straight away, then only have one day remaining. They also gave us a flight to an airport which was 100km away from the hotel they gave us and asked for extra money to change this. LOL. Obviously they intentionally pick these flight times and hotel locations just to get extra money out of you to change location. They are saying we are not entitled to a refund as the Wowcher has been redeemed and they have booked the flights/hotel. Another lie as we checked with the hotel and nothing was booked. Do not ever purchase anything from this company. Merchant company Wowcher referred us to are Travelolo. They are also very rude and obviously part of the scam/dishonesty. Do not give these scumbags your money.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking company. Not to mention the extra charges and constant lying . Particularly the promise of a "room upgrade with a beautiful view of the lake " .the view was a wall next to the bin shed. . Avoid this company like the plague. They are a bunch of scammers . This company should be forced to close immediately and the staff should never work in the tourist industry. Please stay away from them . Save your hard earned money

Negative experience: DO NOT USE booked a Wowcher trip to Amsterdam £89 each, they called me tried to book it they wanted double the amount of me for different flight times I said the ones stated to me was ok. They said we haven’t got confirmation from the hotel yet so call back, called back then they said there is only 1 seat left on the plane which I checked and there was 4 seats, same for the return. Spoke to a manager absolutely useless tried to turn it on me saying the flights are £70 so how do I expect them to book me a hotel for £13 per person, I stated don’t sell something you don’t have available, it’s not the customers fault, offered me a credit refund which I declined as I’m not going to have to book flights and a hotel so I will be getting a refund. Useless rude staff, poor management, false advertising. And they are still selling the same holiday.

Negative experience: My family have had an awful experience with this company trying to get a refund for a wowcher voucher. The holiday destination wasn't available and I have never come across such bad customer service trying to get a refund. They have not given a refund despite it being within 14 days and not being available They told a 19 year old woman who rang to request a refund to stop 'ragging their balls'. They have said they can't check if refund is available as need to speak to the IT department first which will take several hours as it is Monday morning and they are very busy speaking to customers. Avoid this company!

Negative experience: Have been dealing with this company for the past 2 weeks trying to get a refund after purchasing a Disneyland Paris deal. After booking a redeeming voucher coder from wowcher I was advised Disneyland tickets are not included. Upon trying to cancel to get a refund I was told this was not possible due to the wowcher being redeemed forcing me to continue with the booking. Tried charging extra for flights but after I refused these flights were magically available at no extra cost. Spoke with both Andy and Sean both members of staff were unbelievably rude. Manipulative behaviour from staff stating I had to do complete the booking on this call or they were not able to offer the holiday or a refund totally unprofessional. 100% avoid.

Negative experience: Purchased a deal via Wowcher and put in my preferred travel dates at point of purchase. When I came to finalise the booking via Travelolo, they couldn’t accommodate my dates, and if I wanted to fly on these dates I would need to pay extra! This wasn’t made clear at any point. I’ve now been battling for weeks between Wowcher and Travelolo to receive a refund. Unsurprisingly, Wowcher are saying it’s not there issue and I am going around in circles. I wish I’d known all this before I purchased the Wowcher deal. AVOID at all costs, it’s not worth the hassle!!

Negative experience: Booked through Wowcher it was hell a complete scam! Very aggressive manager and staff. Trying to charge us more to go to another destination because there was no way we could travel over 9 hours for a 2 night stay each way 19 hours altogether for 2 days so we asked if we could change and all the options where extra £128 pounds or more threatening to take us to court if we don’t pay it. Man called John rang and said we had to book there and then as our voucher ran out that day and made me feel uncomfortable so i agreed. sending us to Morocco which i now know the part we are going is unsafe women can’t go out at night loads of thefts and knife crimes and women being harassed also was a earthquake in 2023 and it is known for earthquakes, it is on the gov website saying all this information about how unsafe it is! do not use these people! they would not let me look at the destination they said I had to agree there and then I didnt know nothing about Morocco until after the phone call when I googled it. We will be taking this matter further and we won’t stop as they have already conned us out of money so we will see them in court.

Negative experience: THEY INITIALLY TOOK MUCH MORE MONEY THAN AGREED BY THE INITIAL CONTRACT BY me/my bank, BEGINNING OF NIGHTMARE:( Would give less than 1 star if I could. I'm now told that by Wowcher/travelolo, THAT TOOK MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MY MONEY FRAUDULENTLY ON TOP OF THE £129 x 2 people I agreed to pay for, that after everything, & them agreeing to give me a refund on the phone, I get a call today from one of their travel agents, just before he clocks of at 5pm, that despite being told I'll get refund for all the issues and so on, that they are expecting me to consent to the dates with them for completion of holiday services, even though I said I was last told I will get a refund, they want me to agree to completion of services (& he hangs up on me after I explain!) when they've fraudulently taken loads of money out my account well above & beyond the £129 X2. SHOCKING. ID PERSONALLY ADVISE DO NOT BOOK WITH WOWCHER/TRAVELOLO. I agree with the other poor reviews on here. I'll never book anything with Wowcher again after this, nor with travelolo, massive cons I think and it seems so many of us think. No refund received yet but nationwide will open fraudulent case it they don't pay it back, pay ALL back inc money they took illegally, by next Tuesday. Nightmare for my anxiety and has caused massive triggers of my horrific PTSD.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars I would! I had the unfortunate experience of booking with this travel agency, and I must say, their level of unprofessionalism is astounding. Partnering with Wowcher should have been my first warning sign. The flights they arranged were like a journey through the circles of hell, and don't even get me started on the hotels. I'd rather sleep in a dumpster than stay in one of the "accommodations" they provided. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away from this disaster of a travel agency.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SCAM ARTISTS ❌️ It is a massive scamming agency working just inside the law (most of the time). I was charged 4x the amount to get an earlier flight than the amount stated online. Had to go to the citizens' advice bureau and report them.
