Fantastic experience: We had the most wonderful holiday with Coral Tree. We were in Kenya to run a multi-day race and wanted a post run holiday to relax and unwind and explore the beautiful wildlife and Coral Tree put together the perfect package. We had time relaxing at Diani Beach which was lovely, and then back into the Masai to stay at the amazing Secluded Africa lodge and see all the incredible animals. Great accommodation and really friendly to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I've booked to go to Vic Falls, the Okovango Delta and the Kalahari with Coral Tree. I've been impressed with the care taken over my bookings, and the willingness to make sure my itinerary, which included a number of changes I asked for, was the right one for me. Fantastic experience: We're first-time safari goers, just returned from the most memorable two weeks of our lives; all made possible by Charlie at Coral Tree. From his initial patience with our many changes of itinerary to his fabulous attention to detail, everything just came together in spectacular fashion. The camps were each exceptional, Amalinda for the Rhinos, Sable Valley for the up close and emotional experience with elephants and John's Camp for the amazing day spent with Boswell the famous 'stand-up' elephant and in the afternoon an entire pride of 9 lions. Fantastic experience: Rosanna has been so very patient, friendly and helpful in preparing an itinerary for a South Africa family holiday. We made a few iterations and I felt she really listened and understood my requirements and adapted the plan without question if I wanted to change something. Fantastic experience: Update to the initial comments below: we have just returned from our holiday to Tanzania, and I am delighted to confirm that the itinerary and arrangements made by Mike and Coral Tree Travel were exemplary. The choice of hotels (Gibb's Farm near Ngorongoro Crater, Oliver's Camp in Tarangire National Park, and Tulia in Zanzibar) was excellent, and made for a truly varied and memorable experience. The vital linking arrangements - multiple road and air transfers, and a wonderful personal guide from Asilia for 5 days - were also faultless. Mike was additionally happy to accommodate several modifications to the standard timing and transfer arrangements very efficiently, and also arranged memorable birthday celebrations at the various venues. In short, I cannot recommend Coral Tree Travel highly enough if you are looking for a personal yet professional 'turnkey' travel consultant to East Africa... ------ Although we have not yet started our holiday, just wanted to say that Mike has been very helpful indeed. We approached three operators with a detailed brief (we have been to East Africa several times) and were very impressed by the care he took to learn our requirements and preferences and come up with a creative and interesting itinerary while respecting our budget. He also made sone very valuable negotiations with hotels about check in/out to accommodate our inconvenient international flight times. Fantastic experience: We have settled on a South African adventure with Coral Tree Travel to celebrate my sons 30th Birthday next year. I’d come across them by chance whilst doing some research online and would recommend them highly. Charlie has put together the most amazing, bespoke trip to Cape Town, Kruger and Victoria Falls, just for us. Nothing has been too much trouble and we have been communicating via WhatsApp and email as well as all patching in to a video call which was great to share, and air and to meet Charlie (which they don’t get to do in ‘Charlie’s Angels’) . Her vast knowledge of Africa in general but in particular her first hand experience of family safari meant that she was confidently able to answer all our questions and we had great confidence in her advice. Fantastic experience: Our holiday in Masai Mara, Kenya was organised by Coral Tree Travel, a UK based company. My wife found an article in the Sunday Times about Safaris to Africa and a review of the company. They were a company highly recommended by the Times. Our initial point of contact was Rosanna Pile from Coral Tree Travel. After many emails and several phone calls, we decided to go for a single destination safari in Masai Mara, Kenya. The options were many. We wanted some advice on the destination, the weather, the type of safari, wildlife seen, etc. There was absolutely no pressure on us to book, and we took our time to make sure we were entirely happy. Safaris are, of course, not inexpensive, and naturally, we wanted to make sure of many things, including value for money. We were also taking our 11 year old daughter with us as a treat after her 11+ exams in the UK, and that was also a consideration. Communications with Coral Tree were excellent, and on many occasions, I was messaging Mike Kelly, the owner of the company, via WhatsApp. The response time was often in minutes! It was obvious that they had in-depth knowledge of the individual areas and camps and loved doing what they did. I was based in Qatar, and my family were in London, but we all flew from Doha. Apart from the flights to Nairobi from Qatar, they arranged everything else for us. Once we had booked, we had an in-depth schedule and online access to the entire holiday using an app. We had advice about visas to Kenya and vaccinations as well as advice about clothing and luggage. There was a lot of information about travelling as well as our holiday. From the moment we arrived in Nairobi to the time we left a week later, everything was sorted out. We were met at the international airport when we arrived and because we had a few hrs spare before our internal fight from Wilson airport to the game reserve, we were taken to an elephant orphanage as well as a Giraffe sanctuary in Nairobi. These were excellent mini excursions. We had a driver and transport throughout. The elephant orphanage trip was booked by Coral Tree in advance since you cannot just turn up and enter the orphanage. We were eventually taken to Wilson Airport, and we caught a flight on a small plane to the airstrip near our camp. My review on the &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Camp has been written separately due to the word count limit. Would I like to do a safari again one day? That would be a resounding, yes! Would I seek specialist advice from a company like Coral Tree if I had no local knowledge of the countries, areas, and camps? Again, I would say yes. There are many camps around the region and when you are committing quite substantial funds to such an adventure, then having people who really do know what they are taking about and frequently travel to these areas and camps in my opinion is the preferred option.

The digital proposal surpassed my expectations and has an incredible amount of detail within it. This review is only as far as getting our Safari booked. Fantastic experience: Coral Tree have compiled an itinerary for a family holiday beyond our wildest expectations to be taken next June. With three generations travelling together our requirements and concerns were listened to and addressed at every juncture. Mike really listed to what we wanted and found destinations we never could have done on our own. Tess has offered her support from the travelling as a family point of view, and both have been responsive, enthusiastic, and professional throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend Coral Tree to those wanting a special family holiday.

Fantastic experience: one inquiry was all it has taken for a response from mike and Tess . I told them what i was planning with an 9 year old grandchild plus daughter and son in law . Mike came back with options and gave us all plenty of advice especially as we had the little one to think of . The professional way it was done the contact and phone calls , everything first class ,could not fault it . The knowledge and expertise they brought to the chats was amazing. The week on the beach that he sorted after a lot of looking was a superb choice . After all this was done no one could beat his price or the way he has done this for us .
