Fantastic experience: My wife and I and our 2 sons have now used both the Somme and Ypres battlefield self drive tours provided by James. The detail provided is superb, the Itinerary and maps highlight points of interest that could easily be missed. Having James arrange everything for us took all the hassle out of how to travel, where to stay, where to visit, which way to go etc. It also allows one to travel at your own pace, spending as much or as little time as you need at points of interest. The hotels that were booked or us were of a good standard especially the Ariane hotel in Ypres which made us most welcome. I would recommend Somme and Ypres Battlefield Self drive Tours to anybody. Fantastic experience: Absolutely superb. My father and I recently spent 3 days in France following one of the self-drive tours. The route map and notes provided were excellent and made navigating around the battlefields a breeze. The combination of maps, notes and descriptions gave us a very clear appreciation of what happened at each location we visited and meant we got so much more out of our trip than we would otherwise have been able to. The arrangements made for getting us there and back were excellent, as was the the choice of hotel. We simply cannot fault the package and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the Battlefields; we will never forget this tour for all the right reasons.
