This is the first holiday my partner and I have had in four years, and we were really keen to book a Nat Geo experience. Unfortunately, we ran into issues booking it ourselves because none of the available pick-up points worked for us. After getting pretty frustrated (trying online TUI customer service to no avail) I decided to try my luck at the Barry store and I’m so glad I did. Hannah was absolutely incredible and had everything sorted within 24 hours. I usually try to avoid going into store due to work commitments, but Hannah made the whole process so quick, efficient, and easy. An absolute babe. Fantastic experience: Booked our holiday online and noticed a week before flying the date of birth was wrong on the lead passenger (a silly mistake on my part) it wouldn’t let me amend it online so thought I’d pop down to Barry branch to see if they could help. Sharon served me and was extremely helpful, as I’d booked it online usually they’re unable to help but Sharon went above and beyond to help me get this sorted and when an unexpected charge was added Sharon sorted it all out and even phoned me to confirm it was all ok. Amazing customer experience and will definitely go into branch to book my next holiday! Thank you again

Fantastic experience: The TUI store in Barry is brilliant. All the staff are extremely good but I must mention Karen by name. In the last year we have been on two cruises organised by Karen and we have another two in the pipeline. (Already booked) . Karen ensures we have the cabin that suits us and always manages to get the pictures of the cabin up for us to look at. Karen makes life easy and looks after all the details so my wife and I have no hassles. It is always the small details that are perfect. As I am in my seventies I really appreciate these details being sorted. Thank you Karen and all the staff at Barry store. Pictures show me in the Caribbean waters and our cruise ship in one of the ports in the Caribbean.

Negative experience: UPDATE:- Although I had an extremely bad experience with my online booking, Emma from the store has since been really helpful. I suppose my review should be aimed at the online booking process and based on my inexperience of using the system as well as booking holidays. ORIGINAL REVIEW:- I am a total novice when it comes to booking holidays. I booked online thinking that I would always be able to make changes if I needed to, but when I tried, I got charged £200. I called into the store for help with my booking but they would not help me. Not even advise me about insurance. I have been paying off £365 a month for over half a year, I then found out that my daughter is having an op soon and this could affect my booking. So I emailed the store to ask for advice on this also and they just totally ignored me. I have gotten stressed out and fed up with my booking. When I booked it, there was no flights from Cardiff so I had to chose Bristol. A few months down the line they have now added flights from Cardiff and the packages are almost £400 cheaper! I live right by Cardiff airport but when I tried to change the airport online they tried to charge me £450 amendment fee! I have now cancelled my booking as it was causing me stress and anxiety. But It looks like they are taking another £1400, from my refund! I am absolutely devastated. :(

She sorted out my overnight stay with parking and also sorted coco bongos for me for when we are in the Dominican. She made it such a fun experience showing us everything we can do out there and with good knowledge of the destination she made some good recommendation on what she thought we might love to do. They provided information about excursions we could take and holiday extras which we could book and arranged an annual insurance policy. Fantastic experience: Visited the Barry store yesterday and met Karen who couldn't have been more helpful in helping us choose 2 holidays.So impressed by her knowledge and patience and being the in-store cruise specialist was able to book with Cunard .... wasn't aware Tui dealt with other companies. Nothing was too much trouble and it was refreshing to experience an overall level of customer service which seems rare to find nowadays. Wouldn't hesitate to return for any future holiday plans.
