Negative experience: I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to write this as a serious warning to others considering Villa Trullo Stel in Ostuni. We booked this property last week during our trip to Puglia, excited because the photos looked beautiful. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience was extremely disappointing. First, despite what the listing or management may suggest, the main house has no air conditioning. The master bedroom, second bedroom, kitchen, and living area are all without AC. Only the two detached bedrooms have units, but these rooms are completely separate from the main house—posing a safety concern for families with children. The far greater issue, however, was security. On the second day, after being out exploring, we returned to find the villa had been broken into. More than $10,000 worth of items were stolen, including designer bags, clothing, jewelry, wallets, and credit cards. There were no signs of forced entry, which strongly suggests that whoever entered had a key. We immediately filed a police report. When we contacted Wonderful Italy and Villamore (the managers), we received zero support—only an empty apology. No assistance, no accountability, and certainly no compensation. We ultimately left a day early because we no longer felt safe staying there. To add insult to injury, our request for a partial refund was denied. In summary: this villa is unsafe, misrepresented, and backed by unhelpful management. Please take this as a buyer beware in the strongest possible terms.
Fantastic experience: Loving villa, with a great outside pool and outdoor dining area. Everything in the house and outside has been renovated to a high standard. 20 minutes walk to a lovely beach with fantastic restaurants with great sunset views. We loved our stay.x

Negative experience: Do NOT use this company. Our family holiday was ruined by Villamore. In June, since there was no sign of Villamore contacting me regarding the balance due on our booked villa and the fact that no information had been received regarding our arrival (as agreed in the contract) I had to chase Villamore for information. After 1 week of chasing I was informed that the villa we had booked was not available due to the owner closing the villa for renovations/repairs following rain in February. When were Villamore going to inform me? The week before we were due to arrive? Or when we arrived? I received an apologetic email from Ian. On this email, Ian stated "Should you wish to discuss this further, I am personally available to assist." I phoned Villamore and asked for Ian. Ian was not available each and every time I called. I replied to Ian's email asking him to contact me. Ian did not phone me. I did receive my deposit back but I strongly advise that you do not use this company. No doubt the Villamore "team" will respond to this review in due course and attempt to pick holes in the truth. The facts are simple. Villamore did not contact me to inform me that the villa that I had booked was not available. I had to chase them. So Villamore, when/if you respond to this review please don't alter the facts. I have email and telephone correspondence to back up the facts. As stated above, our family holiday was ruined by Villamore. Our kids lost their 2025 summer holiday. We lost everything (flights, etc.) as we had no accommodation for the dates that we had chosen for our 2025 summer holiday. Furthermore, during the dates that we had booked, a friend of our family (whom we were due to holiday with) walked by the villa that we had booked. There were people staying in the villa. One of two things happened here - Villamore double booked or the villa owner decided that he/she wanted the villa for "our" dates. But this does not excuse the absolutely scandalous customer service from Villamore (where I had to chase them to enquire as to why they weren't looking for the balance and the arrival information). Villamore did offer alternative accommodation - what a joke!! We booked a 4 bedroom villa in location X. Villamore offered an upgrade(!) which was a 3 bedroom villa in location Y. Where were 2 members of our family going to sleep? On sun loungers at the pool? The photos of the villa showed it to be furnished in 1970. It was insulting to be offered such an alternative. I have rented properties for over 25 years across Spain and Portugal with various letting agencies. I have never experienced anything like the treatment that I received from Villamore. They are not available to discuss any issues. Do yourself a favour - when you Google villas for your family holiday and you see Villamore pop up, quickly scroll down the page and select a different letting agency. You will thank me. Do NOT use this company. I am giving 1 star as I have to select something in order to post this review. My experience warrants 0 stars.

Thank you for your review. To clarify, your balance was already overdue when you first contacted us—not to raise concerns, but to extend your stay, which makes the later claims about “lost flights” difficult to reconcile. When the villa became unavailable due to weather-related damage, we offered you a superior alternative in the same area at no extra cost. You refused, requested cancellation, and we refunded you in full immediately.
Unfortunately, during discussions with our team, you became verbally abusive and issued threats of physical consequences. We also note the misogynistic undertone of your review, dismissing a property with reference to the “1970s” as if modern professional women managing your booking should somehow be spoken down to.
For other businesses reading this: be aware that when something goes wrong—as it occasionally does in travel—this individual responds not with reasoned dialogue but with anger, threats, and outdated attitudes. VillaMore operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards abuse of any kind, and we stand firmly by our team.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with six of my closest friends at VillaMore's Lucky Villa in Corfu, Greece. The villa grounds was beautiful from the pool, to the landscaping, to the view. The home itself was clean and comfortable. We had two units; a one bedroom unit upstairs that slept 3 and a three bedroom unit downstairs that slept the other five of us. Everything was completely comfortable. VillaMore works with a local company called Corfu Perfect. They organized transportation for all of my guests from and to the airport, they arranged transportation for us to an excursion, and they even helped me plan a private, delicious, traditional, Greek birthday dinner at the house. I could not have asked for a better experience. The one downside was I locked myself out of the downstairs apartment twice in the first 24 hours, but that was not their fault, but just due to me not realizing the door locked automatically upon closing. Other than that, everything was amazing!

Highly recommended for up to 6 people, we had 7, but there is a sofa bed in the communal lounge / kitchen area.

Positive experience: We loved the location. We were able to walk everywhere. The special concierge service when we got there was lovely. The kitchenette was lovely and a roomy family room was nice. Was clean, light and bright. The bedrooms were tight for 4 adult people. The elevator with large luggage was a little challenging because it was so small - barely fits 2 people. Overall - a good stop for a short stay.
Fantastic experience: The Gollum Suite I booked in Oia, Santorini was spectacular. Exactly like the pictures and even better in person. Wasn't expected the included daily breakfast which was great and served on the terrace each morning. Friendly staff, beautiful views. Booking experience was easy and responsive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely perfect location on the West Coast of Barbados. We walked to a different restaurant every night along the waterfront and enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning looking at the crystal clear Caribbean ocean.

Fantastic experience: It’s a very large villa with a beautiful outlook and very accessible by bus into town. It’s not a long walk down but very steep. The villa has every possible amenity and lots of places for people to break out to and for groups to gather in. Our family group loved it. Perhaps the only thing that would have improved it would be a more relaxed, informal living room - but I nit-pick. We would go back for sure.
Fantastic experience: Great farmhouse. It’s huge, well equipped, and a great location. Not right in the action but an easy drive to all sites. We used Bolt everywhere and it was quick and inexpensive.

The location is excellent for tourists and most of the places we wanted to visit were just a few steps away. The apartment Juvia was very clean and comfortable with most of the amenity. Positive experience: Wir haben als vierköpfige Familie eine Woche in der Villa Petra Elia verbracht. Die Lage und das großzügige Raumangebot sind ideal für einen entspannten Urlaub, allerdings gibt es einige Mängel, die den Aufenthalt getrübt haben. Leider waren wichtige Küchengeräte wie der Geschirrspüler und die Nespresso-Maschine nicht voll funktionsfähig, und auch der Backofen hatte technische Probleme. Einige Lampen in der Villa funktionierten nicht, und die vorhandene Beleuchtung war kalt und wenig einladend – hier könnte eine gemütlichere Lichtgestaltung viel ausmachen. Im Obergeschoss war eine der Duschen defekt, und es mangelte an Haken für Handtücher und Garderoben. Die Sonnenliegen im Außenbereich waren größtenteils durchgerostet und sollten dringend ersetzt werden, um den Außenbereich angemessen nutzen zu können. Auch an den vielen kleinen Details, die eine Unterkunft gemütlicher machen würden, mangelte es. Insgesamt bietet die Villa Potenzial, das durch gezielte Verbesserungen noch ausgeschöpft werden könnte. Fazit: Die Villa Petra Elia hat eine schöne Lage und gute räumliche Voraussetzungen, benötigt jedoch dringend einige Wartungs- und Verschönerungsmaßnahmen, um den Komfort zu bieten, den man von einer Unterkunft dieser Kategorie erwartet.

Positive experience: Sehr schönes, zentral gelegenes Ferienhaus mit wunderbarem Ausblick aufs Tramuntanagebirge. Besonders schön ist der sehr gepflegte Garten und der Pool der in einem top Zustand ist.Vor allem hat uns besonders gut der überdachte Außenbereich mit Holzkohlegrill und großen Kühlschrank gefallen.Wir bewohnten es mit sechs Personen und das war genau passend.Drei der vier Schlafzimmer sind leider sehr klein und bieten wenig Stauraum. Die Küche ist sehr beengt, der Herd schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Diesem Haus würde es gut tun, wenn man sich von ein paar sehr überflüssigen Möbelstücken(alleine in dem kleinen Wohnzimmer gab es eine Couch, zwei Sessel und 10 Stühle)Inventar und Deko-Teilen trennen würde. Alle Schränke waren übervoll mit zum Teil angeschlagenen Porzellan und nicht mehr ganz funktionsfähigen Haushaltswaren, unzähligen Töpfen und Pfannen. Aber die Aufteilung des Hauses war perfekt für uns und wir haben uns am Ende,als alle unsere Dinge irgendwie untergebracht waren sehr ,sehr wohl gefühlt und der Abschied fiel uns allen sehr schwer.

Fantastic experience: This magical place set the bar very high for the entire trip to Greece. If you want a great place for a family group, out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist scene, this is your spot. Nicholas Nomikos was an excellent, attentive host. He is very helpful and extremely kind. The accomodations were comfortable and interesting. Emporio is a village with many fascinating nooks and corners to explore.

Fantastic experience: Villa more provided an excellent service, they answered all queries quickly and the process went very smoothly. The villa was huge with lots of space for all 10 of our family. We were met by the villa manager Andreia, on arrival and was shown around the villa, she also came to say goodbye and check over the villa on our departure. The villa is well appointed with a large pool and lots of seating both inside and out, however, it is a little tired in places and needs some updating. For people with young children looking to book this venue please be aware that the pool is no longer fenced off. The publicity material needs updating. There are other maintenance issues that need attention. Andreia has notedthe main issues that I raised with her. If you require pool/ beach towels there is a 5 Euro charge per towel, so for us an additional 50 Euro payable on site. I found this rather frustrating as the fees for the villa are already top end. The villa is well placed and we used the Setubal / Tróia ferry to shorten the route from Lisbon, the villa is very close to the ferry jetty. The main beach is a 15 minute walk or you can drive and park there, you are provided with two parking permits courtesy of the owners, a very pleasant surprise. We had a great week with our family, children and grandchildren, enjoying the whole experience and we made lots of family memories.

Negative experience: I booked a hotel in paros August 15-17th with this company. They confirmed and took the booking. I then booked a room somewhere else from 17-20th of August with a different company in paros. The next day they emailed me cancelling their reservation, becuase they said they made a mistake and the room was not available. Now there are virtually 0 rooms to fit my family. I have no where to stay for 2 days, unless I pay triple the price. VillaMore did tell me the next level room is available and its about 3x the price. Did not offer me any compensation, nor even an apology. There response was "humans make mistakes". I didnt book with a human, I booked with an automated system that confirmed my reservations. Whats the point of that if you cant figure out the system?

Positive experience: The location alone warrants 5 stars at least. The downgrade is for unanswered messages from the manager, Paul as well as the poor condition of the apartment overall. Squeaky doors, mold in the shower, broken flower boxes, lack of amenities in the bathroom, soot-covered wall at fireplace were disappointing. At this price point, we expected a much different experience.

To stay in a hotel with the same paramount views and space as you had in the apartment, you would indeed have paid considerably more. Your review also gives us a chance to reply truthfully.
We are surprised that you left a 3-star review, as we have only ever received 5-star reviews for this property. We have been in contact with the villa manager, Paul, this morning and reviewed the WhatsApp messages exchanged during your stay. From our understanding, the messages contained updates about your flight delay, your arrival at the apartment, and the return of the keys upon departure. When you advised Paul that you had left the keys in the safebox, surely you would have mentioned if you were not happy with the apartment. Should you have encountered any issues during your stay, we encourage you to reach out immediately, as Paul would have promptly addressed them, including arranging for a cleaner if needed.
Furthermore, the photo of the graffiti and flower boxes is disingenuous, as this is not in any way connected to the apartment.
Aside from this, we hope you had the chance to explore the rich history of Athens and soak up the atmosphere. Athens is a very busy and vibrant city, and all our guests come away with great memories, including trying the local cuisine and culture. We assume you might have had a different experience.

Fantastic experience: It was above and beyond in every way! The villa was beautiful, the views stunning and the staff was spot on perfect. No hiccups, just a great time. Another piece of the puzzle to a perfect vacation is its location. You may want something different, but for us being away from the main areas and having a place of peace and quiet and beauty was what we wanted, but it was also only a 5 to 10 minute walk from a handful of great restaurants and shops and that sealed the deal. I would add that the island is small enough that even though you are away from the hustle and bustle of some of the towns, you are only 30-45 minutes drive from pretty much everything. I would absolutely go back!!!

Fantastic experience: We had such an amazing experience at this gorgeous home in Dubrovnik! It was perfect for four couples each with their own room and bathroom. Ivan was the best host we have ever had. He was available the entire time to answer questions, stock the fridge with groceries or help coordinate rides to the airport or ferry. Everything we needed was in the home or provided by Ivan. It was the perfect and most beautiful stay and just steps to old town.
Fantastic experience: This property suited our 3 generational family of eight very well (ranging in age from 17 to 78) Everyone had a bedroom and their own bathroom. The sleeping areas are away from the common parts of the house so people could sleep in if they chose. The common gathering areas were vast and the kitchen was large and well equipped. The outdoor space and pool area were very spacious with plenty of seating. The property manager, Paolo was very helpful in getting us oriented. The neighborhood was perfect for walking or running. The location was great, very near various beaches, small markets and restaurants. We had 2 cars for getting around and also used Uber (highly recommended if you want to go into Sintra and to get to the train station for a trip into Lisbon). If you are a surfing fan, the trip to Nazare was easy and doable in a day excursion. Thank you for providing a lovely environment for our family holiday!

Positive experience: We have just returned from a weeks holiday at VillaMore. The Villa was lovely, ideal size for what my family and I required. The Villa is perhaps looking a bit tired in some places but overall was very clean. Good size pool, although a tad cold!! Set in a lovely, secure garden. A large supermarket was a 2 min walk away, Albufeira old town was a 20min walk or 4 euros in a Uber taxi. Innes was an excellent host. The only downside I would say was the lack of constant hot water, with 8 adults and 1 child it was luck of the draw who got the hot water! Also it would be nice to have a change of towels half way through the week.

Fantastic experience: This villa exceeded our expectations in every way. Beginning with the first night, we got lost and the owner met us in town with his car so we could follow him to the villa. The villa was impeccably maintained, clean, bright and welcoming. Negative experience: We rented a house in Aroeora next to Lisbon for 10 people. Unfortunately we spent our one week holiday surrounded by a construction site. We literally got woken up by heavy machinery every day around 8 in the morning. Thus it was not possible to stay at the house during the day. Very sad. After communicating for 4 days with our contact person, we recieved an offer for a new house..unfortunately way to late for just 3 remaining days. After basically arguing throughout our complete holiday we got offered 30% off. Not too bad, but simple not enough for a house which never should have been rented in the first place. The house itself is beautiful, however pretty moist and lacks some basic necessities such as shower curtains, cutting boards and internet. We bought everything and left it for the next guests. Unfortunately it was a pretty unsatisfactory experience, despite the region and surrounding area being beautiful.

The sunset views are spectacular and the pools and tennis court are in pretty good shape. We were hoping that there would be beach access, but that is not available, which was disappointing. We loved it here - directly opposite Ornos beach, right near amazing food places, and a reasonably sized ground floor villa that accommodated our family of 4 very easily. Negative experience: House was beautiful and comfortably accommodated a family of six. It was very clean and daily service was a plus. The pool was magnificent, but could use an umbrella for optional shade. The VillaMore representative (Amanda) was quite disappointing, gave wrong directions from port, gave wrong information related to master bedroom, never did fulfill request to repair one bedroom door latch, and gave wrong information on requested recommendations for wine shop and dinner reservations. VillaMore was also very slow to respond to emails, and much of the time never took responsibility for getting answers in a timely fashion. Much of the time reps passed the buck to owner, cleaning service, etc. I shouldn’t have to speak with anyone besides rep, after all it is my vacation holiday
