Fantastic experience: What a little gem of a place Woodsmill view is. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we never stopped admiring the view. The balcony is a great feature of this first floor accommodation. Spotlessly clean apartment, modern and traditional twists with everything you could need for a weekend or a longer stay, including a well equipped kitchen and coffee maker. Check in instructions were clear and precise, we appreciated the street view to help us locate the apartment and the garage to park in. The shower was hot and powerful, and the bed was very comfortable. All in all we couldn’t fault it and would definitely choose to stay here again when we return to York.

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful holiday in the Algarve in 2021, and a huge part of that was thanks to the fantastic company, Ocholo, and incredible Lynne. She made the whole experience feel seamless and truly special, which is rare when booking holiday accommodation. We stayed at the beautiful Villa Gale Papagayo, and it was even better than the pictures. Nestled in a serene spot with stunning views, the villa is the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The interiors are beautifully decorated, creating a calming, sophisticated atmosphere that felt like a true escape. The outdoor area was a highlight – lounging by the pool, with gorgeous views and plenty of sun, made it hard to want to leave the villa. The Algarve itself was a dream to explore, with its stunning beaches, vibrant towns, and lovely locals. Ocholo ensured we had a smooth experience from start to finish, making it so easy to relax and enjoy every moment. I can’t recommend Ocholo, Lynne, and the stunning Villa Gale Papagayo enough – they made our holiday absolutely unforgettable.

Fantastic experience: My family had an amazing holiday in the Algarve at the end of June 2021, and even though I couldn’t be there because I came down with Covid, they couldn’t stop raving about the experience. Everything was booked through Lynne at Ocholo, and she went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect for them. From the booking process to answering questions along the way, Lynne was incredibly helpful and patient, giving my family confidence that they’d be well taken care of during their stay. They stayed at the gorgeous Villa Gale Papagaio, and from what they told me, it truly felt like a slice of paradise. The villa itself was beautiful, with stylish decor, spacious rooms, and a luxurious pool area where they spent most of their days relaxing and soaking in the sun. The outdoor space had everything they needed, with comfortable seating and picturesque views that made every moment feel special. Even though I wasn’t able to join, it was comforting to know that my family was in great hands. They came back with so many wonderful stories and a glow that only comes from a truly relaxing vacation. A big thank you to Lynne and Ocholo for organizing such a memorable trip for them — I’m already dreaming of booking my own trip with them as soon as possible!

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Woodsmill Quay apartment in York for a week in October and I must say what a beautiful clean and well equipped apartment it is. The location could not be better as it is situated in the centre of York and is only a 10-15 minute walk from the railway station. If you are thinking of staying in York then I would fully recommend this apartment.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Woodsmill View Apartment, York in August and loved it so much booked straight back up when we got home (we've since booked for a third time). We won't stay anywhere else again now we've found somewhere so perfect. The apartment is very centrally located next to bars, restaurants and shops. There's a garage underneath which is so handy for parking. We were sent great info before arrival on how to find apartment and get keys etc. Very quick responses if we needed to query anything. Photos don't do the apartment justice, it's bigger than we thought! It was very tidy, clean and had everything there we needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony with view over river is the best thing about the apartment. It's amazing! Can't fault the place, thankyou so much for an amazing stay!

Fantastic experience: Lovely Villa with great pool area and all rooms were nicely done and come with en-suites which was great! The villa is nicely styled inside and has everything you need! Aldi around the corner was very convenient as well as some bars and restaurants. Beach was walkable distance also which was nice. A cleaner came halfway through our stay which was a nice touch.

Fantastic experience: We recently spent a week at Villa Helene Norvilla in Guia/Albufeira, Portugal with a group of friends and had an amazing time. The villa feels brand new, very clean and tidy with great facilities. The photos are accurate but the villa is more impressive in real life. All the bedrooms are of an equally high standard so nobody lost out and got stuck in a small room, which can happen on group holidays. The pool area is great, very private and with plenty of space. We visited in mid-September so the weather wasn't really hot, but the pool was still lovely and warm without needing the heating. The kitchen had a decent selection of pans and utensils, also plenty of fridge space. They have a good pod coffee machine too! Having the Aldi within walking distance was very convenient as they sold pretty much everything we needed. Ubers are very cheap and easy to get through so it's fine without a car. The housekeeper came midway though and gave us all fresh towels and changed sheets/clean rooms. Communication was easy and prompt - they also very kindly (and very quickly) posted my boyfriend's wallet back to the UK after he left it there. All in all, we had a wonderful week and could not recommend the villa and Ocholo enough. Will definitely stay with them again!

Fantastic experience: The location of this apartment is perfect in York. Right on the river and close to everything. It was easy getting into the apartment and the elevator helped getting luggage upstairs. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. The parking can be flooded as it is noted on the website. Lynne is posting a website you can track to see if flooding is imminent. We will definitely stay here if we return to York!! Jim

Fantastic experience: What a great place! Views are amazing and the home is super comfy. Had everything we needed and you can walk the boardwalk right out front of your door and go just a block or two to great restaurants like Benny's where we had some of the best steak ever!

Fantastic experience: We just came from Bramble Barn Private Sauna & Hot Tub at Newbiggin Farm West close to sweet Filey. We were so pampered with the wellness facilities. We found ourselves looking forward to returning, it was so, so nice to come home to, after days out hiking the Cleveland Way to Scarborough, & on day 2 after going on the NYorks Moors Railway to visit Whitby. It was idyllic when we stayed from 16-20 Sept 2024, beautiful, fresh but bright sunny weather. Also seeing the Harvest Supermoon from the tub was a special highlight. It's in a secluded rural place next to a farm with horses and it is a peaceful, lovely situation. Inside it has well thought-out living amenities and is perfect for a couple. Recommended highly.

Fantastic experience: We had a great stay at the Villa, everything was as it was described. Very spacious inside and enjoyed the heated pool. Lynne & team were very responsive and a great help with organising transfers to and from airport. The Villa is walking distance to shops, pubs & restaurants and 10 mins in a taxi to old town and 15 mins to the new town in Albufeira. Our favourite nearby restaurant was cafe scenarium. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic experience: I've had one really great holiday week with my family in Patroves Ranch, Algarve. Everyone with whom I spoke with (Lynne, Amaris, DreamPlaces team) was really nice, of service and available to clarify any topic since the moment I booked the house until the moment we left. We've even pointed out a few things missing in the house when we arrived and the next day a team came and took care of everything. Fantastic experience: We're a family of 7 who have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks staying in Villa Fiona in Portugal. We had a lovely time staying in this villa and everything was as described. We were well looked after by Hugo while staying in the villa. He was always quick to respond and nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic experience: My friend and I have just spent 3 nights at this beautiful riverside apartment. As you first go in, you are greeted by a gorgeous smell, (I'm going to have to buy some of that air freshner!)and then you go in to the lounge, and everything is so clean and comfortable, with fantastic views over the river. It really is a perfect place to stay . We didn't have a car, but it is very easy to get around. It's just a short walk over the bridge into the centre of York, with a Sainsbury's on the corner if you need to stock up with a few essentials. This is our second visit to this apartment, and we will certainly be back in the future. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Great finca with beautiful property! A beautiful finca that is perfect for up to 6 people. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and there is a spacious kitchen. The outdoor area is simply fantastic - beautiful lounge furniture on the terrace, a wonderful pool, a great garden - and not unimportant for dog owners: everything is completely enclosed. We always had the feeling of being in our own little oasis of well-being after the gate to the property had closed... Just great!!! And absolutely important: The customer contact is incredibly cordial, absolutely courteous and simply great! Lynne does a fantastic job - you feel like you're in good hands - absolutely recommendable!

Fantastic experience: Location was great for hopping onto transport for the various tourist locations, and for a small supermarket for the essentials. Apartment was well equipped and easily accomodated the 8 of us.

Fantastic experience: Villa Norcas Grande Had a fantastic week at this villa, from booking to arrival our experience with Ocholo was excellent. The Villa was perfect for our family of 13, the two villas worked perfectly, the rooms were larger than expected with plenty of space for all. The two pools worked well with the age ranges and regularly cleaned throughout the week. The Villa is very close to the supermarket and some lovely excellent friendly restaurants. Would definitely recommend this villa for larger families holidaying together.

Positive experience: Very nice villa, with all conditions as mentioned in the announcement, exactly what we pretended for a fun and pleasant vacations. This villa is very well located near to supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, nice little cafes. The beach is five minutes away by car. Excelent choise for us as a family of four.

Fantastic experience: Villa Cinco palmeiras is beautiful! My family had the most incredible time! The Villa is well equipped and clean. The only thing that could be improved are some of the equipment available are already old. The location is quiet but a little far away from the center! Lynne and Amaris at Ocholo was amazing - highly recommend! Next year we will book through your company again.

Positive experience: Apartment was nice but balcony could be better Liked · The location was great, not too far from centre of town. Inside of apartment was clean and tidy. Disliked · The Balcony was supposed to be the main selling point of the apartment & what attracted us to pick this one but we couldn't actually sit out on the balcony as it was really dirty & needed cleaned. We hoovered the balcony so we could stand outside at least. The walkway was full of rust & could use a coat of paint, even the metal chairs & table had rust. The window in the bedroom was painted shut so couldn't open it so we had to buy a fan as the room was so hot.

Positive experience: Nice villa with nice facilities, good location, kept our family happy for the fortnight holiday. Only issues for me were the road noise which at times was quite bad, the lack of a lock on the downstairs toilet in villa B and the uncomfortable sunbeds which had no mattresses.

Fantastic experience: This is a very spacious plot, great outdoor space & ample sunbeds. Bbq area was also great & in a good location opposite the kitchen windows, making it easy to move crockery etc outside. Inside was clean & well maintained, ample cupboard storage in the bedrooms, kitchen well equipped. Plenty privacy around the plot from outside streets, the only negative was the noise from traffic. Other than that this was a good find & can’t fault it in anyway, access to public transport is only 2 mins walk, as is the Aldi.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely week with our family at Villa Coelha near Albufeira. The house has a great layout, is spacious and in a very good location. We hired cars and many beaches, restaurants, several supermarkets etc are very close by. We spent our final day 10 minutes away at Scooby’s pool bar, an excellent place to hang out before a late flight.

Fantastic experience: It was perfect. Away from others so we could make as much noise as we wanted. About a €10 uber into albufeira. A mile walk to the beach. Everything was clean and lots of activities to do near by - would recommend the Benagil caves kayaking.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Apartment Mayah near Albufeira Marina and had the most amazing week. After booking with Ocholo it was absolutely seamless from start to finish, their communication was amazing and they gave us peace of mind to just look forward to our holiday knowing they had given us all the information needed. The apartment itself was extremely well equipped and furnished very nicely, making our stay there very comfortable. We also made extremely good use of the huge pool and lovely snack bar. The apartment was in such a lovely location minutes away from the stunning marina and about 15 min walk into the bustling old town. We will definitely use ocholo again.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING Villa Stayed here for 1 week in June, there was a party of 8 of us, we loved every minute, only wish we could have stayed longer!!! Villa is so well equipped & spotlessly clean. We especially loved the additional fridge freezer in the kitchen and the fantastic bbq area. Pool & out door seating area also fab. The management are on the ball and so helpful if you need anything The villa is situated within walking distance of a bakery, bar that serves food, Aldi and numerous fantastic restaurants. About 20 min walk to the beach but well worth it it’s beautiful. Could not fault this villa - would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Had gorgeous beaches only 15 minute walk away. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating for us - sorting out airport transfers, adding extra beds and supplying lots of extra beach towels for us. It’s just on the outskirts of the town which made it nice, quiet and peaceful. can’t complain!!

Fantastic experience: Our stay at Villa Vida was amazing. The villa is modern, very spacious with every room having its own large balcony, very clean, and had the biggest swimming pool and deck area we've had to date in any villa we've stayed at. There was 8 in our group and with each bedroom having its own ensuite there was no queueing for showers etc. The kitchen has all modern appliances so great for staying in a few nights and cooking dinner with the family. Location was great also as it was a 10 minute walk to either Lidl or Aldi and a 15 minute walk to the Old Town. Ocholo, the villa agents were excellent dealing with any questions, queries I had. Specials thanks to Lynne at Ocholo who was always just a text away and catered to my elderly family's needs. I would definitely return to Villa Vida.

Fantastic experience: Lynne and Josefa were extremely responsive hosts, Josefa even let us know of a local wine festival which was on whilst we were visiting which was really thoughtful. The townhouse was in an excellent location, with the main square only 5 minute walk away. We parked in a free car park which was close by and walked to the accommodation. There was a good selection of glassware and options so ate breakfast and lunch in the courtyard most days. Fun weekend with friends with the added bonus of a pool!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend this apartment enough, it is done to an extremely high standard, with excellent facilities. The location is fantastic too, close to the station and minster but not so close that you have noise etc… The hosts, Oliver & Lynne, were great too and answered any question i had before hand almost immediately. Next time i am in york i will be booking again (hopefully its free)

Fantastic experience: Villa Vida is beautiful! As a family of 5 we had the most incredible week! The Villa is well equipped, clean and everything just seemed new!! Every bedroom has its own balcony and beautiful bathroom. The location is quiet and everything is in just a moment away! Lynne at Ocholo was amazing - highly recommend!! If I could give any recommendations for improvement - Table Tennis would be awesome and a hoover!!!

Fantastic experience: We had a week in Villa Das Oliveiras in Albufeira. The weather was awful but the villa was wonderful, spacious and comfortable. It is situated in a quiet area but only about 15 minutes walk to the Marina, with lots of bars and restaurants. There are some lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk of the villa as well. Sadly we did not get to use the pool much due to the weather. Communication with Ocholo was easy and they really did go the extra mile to try to accommodate any of our special requests. I would have no hesitation in stopping at this villa again if I was in Portugal and I will look at other Ocholo accommodations when planning my next holiday.

Fantastic experience: Stayed 8 days in April 2024. Great villa, location is wonderful. inside and outside space is perfect. Short walk to Lidl and Aldi, 15 min walk to old town. If I had to be really picky the wifi speed was a little slow for 3 kids streaming devices (we had some rainy days)! And the beds were a little hard. Other than that I can’t fault the villa at all.

Fantastic experience: The chalet was great for us (spacious, tranquil) and the service with Ocholo is amazing - After checking out on Saturday of the Easter weekend, our car broke down. 6 hours of waiting around, only to we find out that we couldn't get home to Spain. Within an hour of emailing her, Lynne had found us another chalet to stay in for the Easter weekend. Again, a lovely chalet, well located and at a great price. Life saver! Thanks so much!

The communication before, during and after our holiday was exceptional and made the holiday completely stress free. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic experience: We spent a long weekend at beachfront crescent house and we were completely impressed by the sea view apartment. The views were stunning, you could see right to bemptom cliffs and had the most amazing outlook to sea. The apartment was well equipped with everything you should need while holidaying and the bed was one of the best I have slept in. The apartment was spotlessly clean and smelt clean too. Because there were apartments above and below we expected a bit of noise but, no it was so peaceful. We were sad to leave and we will definitely be booking again as we holiday in filey every year. Fantastic experience: Villa Helene (Norville B) was exceptional! Thank you Lynne and Ocholo for a fabulous holiday, start to finish. The Villa was immaculate with every detail thought of. The rooms are huge and all en suite, with modern decor- beautifully furnished. Super secure, behind electronic gates, the Villa is also equipped with electric shutters. The pool is big and provided great fun for all the family. The outdoor bbq was great and provided us with a great alternative to eating out. A fabulous location, close to the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. Praia de Galé was our favourite but the bar at Praia de Manuel Lourenço was a true find. Local and friendly, with a beautiful hidden cove to look out over. Sao Domingos is a fabulous restaurant and is easily walkable - 10 minutes. The local pastelería provided us with our daily pastel de natas and cakes (less than 5 minute walk). There is also an Aldi within waking distance (less than 10 mins). We took my parents this time and they absolutely LOVED revisiting Portugal and the various places we went as a family when I was a child. They will for sure be comping with us again. Fantastic experience: Beautiful villa in private estate. The pictures online are exactly as it still is and it has wow factor for sure. It is well equipped (although we didn't really cook there). Local shops are a 20 min walk/5 min drive and there are a few bars and restaurants. Host greeted us and looked after us throughout. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the fire (this is a high tech house!) and they came over to show us. One thing to be aware of is that the upper floors of this house have a glass floor - we quickly got used to it but it might freak out anyone with a fear of heights - but there is a bedroom that doesn't need you to walk on it. It's super cool but can be strange. I'd also recommend not paying for pool heating - we did and it didn't make much difference as the pool is so large and parts are always in the shade.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I recently had a weekend stay at Woodsmill View. It's a fantastic location in central York on the banks of the River Ouse. A very comfortable apartment, too. We highly recommend it and will very likely stay there again.

Fantastic experience: Lynne and her group from Ocholo did a tremendous job assisting in arranging our golf trip to Portugal. Lynne arranged for 3 spectacular villas on the beach. Transportation to and from the various golf courses and many other logistics for our trip. Our entire experience was wonderful and everything went like clockwork in terms of transportation and the like. We were absolutely thrilled with the job Lynne and her group provided to us and cannot recommend Ocholo highly enough if you are considering a vacation to the area.

Fantastic experience: Loved a weeks family holiday here. Villa was beautiful and close to the marina and host was really responsive. Some of the group even stayed for an extraw week. Would highly recommend!

Positive experience: We had a wonderful time celebrating my husbands 60th. Villa was clean & loved that everyone had plenty of room to cook , eat & swim . Only thing i would suggest is a few extra toilet rolls in bathrooms & garbage bags. We had one small garbage bag under the sink to do everyone’s garbage until i could get to the stores . other than that location was great a short uber ride into Old Town or Beaches . Golf courses all near which my husband was thrilled about . i would definitely use again . Thank you

Fantastic experience: We booked this villa as a surprise for my mum's 70th. There were 13 of us staying. When we arrived, they had left a lovely card and sparkling wine for mum. Our host Lynne was great, easy to deal with, and very helpful. The villas were spacious and clean, with everything we needed. Local amenities were great, and supermarket was 2 minutes walk. I would definitely book again. Thanks, Lynne and the staff. We had a ball.

Fantastic experience: Well designed, modern apartment in a converted mill on the river, right in the heart of York. Lovely size for two. River view is unbeatable. Parking always a bonus in central York. We come to York a lot and will definitely stay here again

Fantastic experience: Lovely spacious villa in a quiet area. Pool is large and easy access steps into it. We used Ubers to go anywhere and they are cheap and reliable. Youngest in our group was 4 years old and oldest was 71 and it was great for everyone. Nice large outside space and shaded terrace. Large well kitted out kitchen and large dining room and lounge.

Fantastic experience: Villa Cabrita in Gale was a wonderful place for a family holiday. The location was good for beach and shops, it had a lovely garden, it was very spacious inside and had a fabulous pool. Highly recommended.!

Fantastic experience: We had the most incredible stay at Villa Cabrita Gale. The location was great, with a 5-10 minute drive away from everything. Specifically the garden was beautiful, and everything we wanted for a relaxing holiday. I look forward to revisiting the villa in the future.
