The whole experience of applying has been super straightforward and easy. The staff that have done the interviews have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Fantastic experience: everyone i’ve spoken to has been lovely, i’ve been coached through each section thoroughly and helped to improve my skills sections with pointers. when i was unsure of the outcomes with interviews at the hiring camp being denied i was explained to that there’s still plenty of time and not to worry. i love that someone checks in every week or so to see how the application and everything else is coming along, and they congratulate you when you get hired.

Fantastic experience: My first Camp Leaders experience! While not having been to camp yet, Camp Leaders have started me off with a very positive start to my adventure. Signing up was easy and practical. This continues as your profile progressed in each of its applicant stages. Creating my profile was such a fun experience, honestly. While the boring document's are obviously mandatory, other sections like ‘describing yourself’ and ‘if you were stuck on an island, who would you pick to be stuck with?’, make up for that! You can have a lot of fun with it! ‘Online hiring fairs’ are exciting and nerve wracking events, that allow you to book interviews with camps of your choice. While it can be stressful at times, it helps you begin to understand what you want out of your summer camp experience. Get in there fast!! Camp leaders staff ensure to arrange phone calls and are constantly sending emails in the lead up to getting yourself hired. It’s always great to have support from the ‘expert’ and they’re really chill, personable chats over the phone. Sometimes there’s even unscheduled calls they’ll give for that extra touch of guidance; in case you did have something to talk to them about but hadn’t made that step in contacting them! When I had my interview with my current placement, it really stood out to me from the rest that this was the one. At first it wasn’t such an easy decision. Reading and rereading the profile of the camps that wanted to take me on helped me levitate to the winner. With Camp Leaders community page, I am able to interact with other people who on the same journey as myself. Returning staff like to post on there and answer first timer questions. I’ve actually been able to connected with 9 other people who are going to my camp! I know for certain if I’m lucky enough to return to camp after my first year I’ll use camp leaders again! Camp leaders all in all are friendly and easy to use!

Fantastic experience: At first, applying to travel and work in America seemed so daunting and overwhelming. However, the process of the Camp Leaders application is very helpful and reassuring as they continuously contact you to let you know how well your application is going or to hear any worries about payments or interviews. Every time I have phoned them, they have always seemed happy to help and cheerful which means a lot when you are not sure about a part of the application process. My sister recommended camp leaders to me as applied last year and had such a great time and said camp leaders helped throughout. And so far I could easily say the same. It’s such a great opportunity to teach children in America and experience such a different culture!!!

Fantastic experience: I came across a video of someone who used camp leaders and was currently spending their summer in America, I was interested and went onto the website and come the following October I had already got my placement at a camp, such a easy and simple process.

As my first time going to camp and something I've wanted to do for years I couldn't have had any better support than I have from camp leaders. All of the staff members are so lovely. During my experience of applying with camp leaders I've had countless calls with the team sometimes about the progress with my application or just to chat about life. At first it felt very overwhelming knowing I had alot of steps to complete to even make it to camp however through each step camp leaders have taken the time to explain throughly and explain each step to make it as simple as possible. When you apply they have a easy to use website where your profile will be and all your steps, making it easy to access and gives you a great guide of everything you will need to complete. I'm so excited for camp 2025 and grateful to the camp leaders team for their support and encouragement throughout this process. I will be recommending them to everyone!

Negative experience: Have to pay deposit before an interview which doesn’t seem right. Sounds suspicious.

Negative experience: WARNING DO NOT GO TO ÀNY OF THESE USA SUMMER CAMPS WITH CAMP LEADERS. It's more like a slavery camp, I was put in a room sharing lots of bunkbeds, sharing one kitchen & bathroom. I was exhausted and left the camp on the 6th day. You don't get any sleep, people you work with party all night with loud music, alchol & drugs. You work from the moment you wake up till late and night. Only sharing one oven & a set of hobs. I rang Campleaders for help & ended up having to take a coach from Indiana to New York, I was chased accross america by men trying to take me. It was extremely Dangerous. I had to take Uber taxis, coaches & sort my plane to get back to England. I was very hungry at my camp also. I went to Summer camp in 2018. HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL GOING??? CAMP LEADERS WHAT A JOKE. They Make out its all good but there's nothing good about it. I didn't even get paid for the 14 hour shifts I was working a day. I WAS ABOUT AGE 33 WHEN I WENT TO AMERICA AND IT WAS DANGEROUS FOR ME. CAMP LEADERS LIED & SAID I WOULD MEET OTHER CAMP LEADERS AT THE AIRPORT IN HEATHROW AIRPORT SO I WASNT FLYING ALONE DURING MY 9 HOUR FLEIGHT TO CHICARGO. They lied, I was all alone. It's a con to take all your student loan money. I'm lucky I got back to the uK alive. Someone needs to report this to New, journalists and newspapers. They are going to Universities & selling the Dream.

Negative experience: They have placed our step daughter at camp America and completely misrepresented the experience. Our daughter has been assaulted by campers with with severe mental health issues 3 times so far this trip. The campers are on suicide watch constantly and both staff and campers are at risk of serious harm. Do not let your kids engage with this organisation without doing the research yourself on the camp they are introducing them too.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful with first time going to camp. Interview process was super easy and my interviewer was really nice and answered loads of my questions. Great team willing to help via email or phone calls. Visa day was well organised which made me feel alot less anxious about the process. And the 24/7 helpline while out at camp was amazing! Really happy I went though such a nice, helpful company!
