Fantastic experience: Stunning house for a 60th celebration, great location and wonderful grounds, plus a games room that that was very popular. Log fires and also near to an excellent pub in Snettingsham. We were very grateful that the heating could be left on as it was a freezing cold weekend and that was so appreciated. Though the furniture is a bit tired, it suits the house. And it did not matter as the house was immaculately clean. Absolutely immaculate. Our only caveat is that there are not enough shower facilities, more baths with an hand shower thing and all of us prefer quick showers. One bathroom had to be shared by 8 adults. I’d definitely book it again if the showers etc were updated as we were using worse bathroom facilities than we had left at home! Which seems a shame as it will put off folks. For the £price charged , those bathrooms do need upgrading. You’d probably be able to charge more. That all said, it was a wonderful house.

Fantastic experience: They have fabulous houses and this booking will be our second with Oliver's Travels Booking was straightforward and Ben M was helpful without being pushy. I have dealt with other Tavel agencies where promises to call back come to nothing. Ben called when he said he would and went the extra mile to make sure I got the house that suited us.

Fantastic experience: Just booked a villa for next October - really impressed at the responsive customer services team for queries about the booking process. We needed to change the provisional dates by a day and Chiara sorted this out for us really quickly, so we're all booked and looking forward to our holiday.

Fantastic experience: Great holiday accommodation, surroundings were beautiful even with a road is fairly close to the villa. It doesn’t impact too much and the views are simply stunning across the bay. There were three nice little family run restaurants all within about 10 or 15 minutes walk and somewhere great to get coffee in the morning, accommodation itself was clean well kept and appointed and the olive oil and fruit basket bottle of wine etc. All left in preparation for us were really nice touch. I’d happily go back there again one week just was not long enough.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish Oliver's travels have been excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, the regular emails were great & the information that was given gave no room for worry in regards to payments, villa info, things to do and places to go. The whole team were friendly & ready to help and it took a lot of worry out of the whole situation. A great job, thankyou!

Positive experience: The house was really lovely with plenty of space for a family group of 16. Location was perfect for walks, beaches, playgrounds and a handy supermarket. The hot tub was fabulous. However it was let down by an incredibly poorly equipped kitchen, no casseroles, tin opener, wooden spoons..... Also duvets and towels were thin and old. We note a new company is taking over the management so hopefully some of these issues can be addressed.

Fantastic experience: Ben Moriarty was very helpful and diligent. One felt confident booking with Oliver's travels knowing that the back up is there, checks have been made and you can speak to a human being. So much better than booking via the likes of Airbnb.

Fantastic experience: The Logan Manor is a beautifully restored old home with every thoughtful detail and amenity included to make your stay fabulous. Located just south of Edinburgh in a small town, on a large, wooded and beautiful property. The owner and host, Sally, couldn't be more delightful and gracious, thinking of every detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this as a place to explore the immediate vicinity and also as a base for traveling in and out of Edinburgh, which is quite easy to access.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic stay! The place, location and hosts were wonderful in every way (and I am quite picky). SO happy to have found Oliver’s Travels and Hameau de Blagny. We expect to return again and again. Many thanks.

Positive experience: Lovely Villa, very spacious, not too far from the town and beach, easy walking distance, you’ll need to be fairly fit to walk back though but if I can do it anyone can. No problems with Oliver’s Travels everything went to plan. Villa owner needs to have kitchen utensils and pans cleaned or replaced, cutlery drawers need a good clean too, luckily we didn’t want to eat at the Villa but had we done it would have put us off. Also the cleaners coming in every 3 days as stated never happened.

Fantastic experience: We hit the jackpot with this home in Dordogne. Gorgeous old house with plenty of space. Beautiful views over the extensive grounds. The estate is very private without being isolated from all the best sites of the Dordogne. Olivier was very welcoming and had a fire going as we arrived. He gave us two recommendations for restaurants which ended up being our favorites of the entire trip. Oliver’s travels made our booking seamless! Will use Oliver’s travels again!

Positive experience: We had a wonderful time. The house has an amazing view and was very comfortable. It was nice to be able to walk to town. The folks at Oliver's are extremely attentive to our needs. The only two hitches, there are no screens on the windows so we could not leave the windows open at night and the outside lighting was supposed to be fixed but wasn't working until the day we left. Neither should be deal breakers though. We would return in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: Writing a review on booking the holiday with Olivers Travels. We used them a year ago and had a beautiful house and excellent service. Tried another company this year and it was awful. So we have returned to Olivers Travels to book next years house in France. We feel that we can trust them that they have verified the properties. We booked online with follow up from Chiara who has been excellent liaising with us. Looking forward to staying in our beautiful French house in the Lott Dept.

Fantastic experience: We have never booked travel with Oliver’s Travel before and we are glad we did. Manoir D'Auge was exactly as pictured and described on the website, if not better. It’s everything I’d imagine a French country home would be like. Picturesque, warm, cozy, and comfortable. I have rented many homes and apartments in my travels, and this home by far is the best! All furnishings and cookware and dishes were top quality products, as if it was for every day living. Not just cheaply done for rentals. Everything was immaculately clean. Catherine, our hostess, was very warm and welcoming and helpful. She even provided us with some local treats - eggs, butter, ciders and milk. Plenty of space for 9 of us, 6 adults, 3 young children. All the beds were very cozy and comfortable. Most rentals I’ve been at, their beds weren’t great and you could feel the coils in the beds. Not these. They were so cozy, it was hard to get up and leave the bed. Honestly, the best vacation rental home I have ever been to. I wish we had more time there. The next home I build, I’m going to model it after this home.

Fantastic experience: My fiance and I were on the hunt for a French chateau where we could have an intimate wedding but also have our family stay for a long weekend. Evie at Oliver's Travels was so kind and quick to get us in touch with the company managing the chateau to answer all of our questions and plan our weekend stay in a way that would accommodate our planned family time and the wedding. We have not stayed yet, but we are very excited and couldn't be more happy that we chose Oliver's Travels to help us with our plans for such an important time and event in our lives.

Positive experience: A mixed bag - the booking and service were generally ok, but a lot of confusing back and forth. It turned out OK in the end. The villa we stayed at in Italy was unfortunately quite disappointing, which I don't think is Oliver's Travels fault, but the quality control could be higher, or perhaps more honesty about the mediocre condition of the house would have helped us choose a different property.

Fantastic experience: Wouldn't hesitate to book through Oliver's Travels again. The trulli we stayed in was lovely and was bigger in real life than the pictures made it look. Our rep was on hand whenever we needed him, for a bit of advice, or to book a boat trip. It truly was an amazing 2 weeks in Puglia!

Fantastic experience: We booked quite late but all the necessary information came through in time and was very accurate. The villa was exactly as advertised and was superb. Based on this experience I would definitely use Oliver’s travels again.

Positive experience: No better or worse than AirBNB with the exception with stated timeframe of when detail for key pickup, payment of local taxes did not match what was stated online. I had to call and got the details 4 days before travel instead of the stated 2 weeks and they said this is normal. Just wish the expectations match what was being delivered. That said, they were very available and responsive when I call them to inquire and they followed up to ensure I was all set. The house was well below the advertised standard, with peeling lineolium floors, lots of general wear and tear to the house. The local agents (which handled the property itself) were very responsive. Again just had hoped the product had matched the expectations.

Positive experience: The villa was very charming and had gorgeous views! We really loved that there were 3 farm dogs on the property who were SUPER friendly! The host was very kind and attentive, he even gave us his own tomato sauce and basil from his garden to make dinner with! The house is spacious and it was a relaxing and quiet escape. The only drawbacks were that the directions to get there weren’t accurate and it would’ve been nice to know it was on about a 1/2 mile long, uneven & rocky road. Luckily we had a small SUV. Also, the beds and pillows weren’t great. I mentioned this to the host and he said he understood and took it into consideration. The bathroom is big, but the shower is very tiny and it didn’t come with any toiletries (bring your own body wash, shampoo and conditioner!). Overall, we really enjoyed staying there. Just a couple of suggestions to make it more comfortable for future guests.

Fantastic experience: Simply wonderful location and property outdoor area. Only problem was the bad odors that emanated from the annex sewer system through the shower drain. Roberto was an exceptionally attentive host who was quick to respond to our every question and need. He also provided a great parking spot in Palermo which made it so easy in that hectic city.

Fantastic experience: I sent an enquiry to Oliver's Travels about wedding venues probably at peak wedding-planning overwhelm. Very shortly afterwards, I had a follow up from Evie who was incredibly helpful and reassuring at a time when I felt like I'd rather elope to Las Vegas and be done with the whole thing. Talking to Evie was like chatting with a friend - turns out we had very similar briefs for our big days! While my partner and I are not going ahead with Oliver Travels for our wedding venue, I couldn't recommend Evie and the service more highly. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: Just booked next year's villa in south west France with Oliver's Travels, and very happy so far. Aisling, our sales agent, was very helpful, both in identifying a really super villa, and forwarding our questions to the owners to iron out some apparent wrinkles in the arrangements. The website and supporting documentation is very clear and detailed. It's a great start and creates confidence that the holiday itself will be lovely.

Negative experience: In late July we rented a house in Mallorca using Oliver’s Travels. The fee was £10k for a week. Briefly – the house was very much below the standard of a rental in that price bracket. The beds, bedding and furniture were the very cheapest – sparse furniture; in some cases broken and stained. The description on the OT website of location and the facilities were inaccurate. The barbecue was rusted and filthy . I could fill a page with details of how disappointing this property was. The local agent looked embarrassed and tried to help provide some of the facilities listed on the OT website. We left after three days. My point in writing this review is to alert you to how Oliver’s Travels sees its responsibility to its customers. Their Terms and Conditions are clear : “ We do not endorse or recommend any of the properties on our site “. “Our responsibilities are limited to making the booking in accordance with your instructions …. Because the contract for the property is between you and the Owner, any queries or concerns should be addressed to them.” So be aware of OT’s role. As we know from our experience of the complaints procedure they simply want to wash their hands of any responsibility for the standard of the properties on the website. Not a member or ABTA either.

Positive experience: A nice property, facilities basic but all there, would have been lovely and peaceful if it had not been for all the dogs around who barked all night long and most of the day. We had issues with the showers and the hot water supply when we arrived but our local contact (Donatello) sorted them out the next working day. He was great and on call all the time to answer any queries. I think the property suffers from a little damp as there was a smell inside and the ceilings in the Trullo were stained with what appeared to be water ingress. If the weather hadn’t been so wet I don’t think you would have minded so much, but as outside was damp as well, it wasn’t so pleasant and quite cold, even the beds felt cold. The description of the property doesn’t say that you have to go physically out (up and down steps) into a separate building to get to the kitchen/dining area (it just says accessed through a separate door, which means nothing). So the living, bedrooms and bathrooms are in one unit and although physically attached to the other Trullo, you have to go outside to get to the kitchen. Maybe not such an issue if glorious sunshine, but when raining not very pleasant and we had not appreciate this at all from reading about the property, and as there are no door mats we were walking water into the property all the time and having to go outside and across the corner of the patio between living spaces, which got quite annoying when you just wanted to pop to the loo and got soaked. A mention of how low all the doorways are as well would be nice and the fact that there are internal steps up and down to bedrooms. If you had mobility issues it would not be good. I think a small update of the property information is in order. A visitors book would also be a nice touch so other visitors could recommend or not supermarkets, petrol stations, restaurants, places to visit etc. Still a nice property though, but I think we would go to one that was fully internally accessible next time

Fantastic experience: From the booking process onwards it was a good experience. Felt personal and helpful. The villa in Croatia was spotless and beautiful in its simplicity. It exceeded expectations.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful house, gorgeous hot tub and sauna and lovely outside sitting and eating area, bedrooms are lovely and the beds are so comfortable ☺️ lovely facilities and modern decor, we all had so much fun drinking wine and chatting in the kitchen and on the lovely couches, log burner was a treat and it is also really close to the local pubs which we used for drinks and Sunday lunch, will definitely be back

Fantastic experience: Oliver's Travels was such an easy tool for booking our holiday rental in the Cotswolds region. They were very professional, helpful, and responsive. We will use them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: The house is spacious with a lovely outdoor dining/leisure area for warm sunny days. Jacqui was a wonderful host, and was very attentive to our requests. We were a group of four women, and it was perfect for us. The home is full of character, and we quickly adapted to the eccentricities of a centuries-old home (stubborn windows and doors, for example). Olonzac was a great location to explore the area, although if you don't have a car, the nearest train station is about 20 minutes away. We used a local taxi service (recommended by Jacqui) for our excursions and Eric was an exceptional driver and 'tour guide'.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful home and so well appointed. Everything that you could possibly need was there. The view is worth it, but I have to note that the drive up and back to the house is not for the feint of heart, those windy roads are alot, especially at night. We had a lovely stay at Villa Splendida

Fantastic experience: I've used Oliver's Travels in the past for a trip to the Algarve and the process, plus the availability of properties, was nothing but amazing. Now, I am working with Evie to find a venue for my son's wedding, and the speed at which she responds makes working with this her and Oliver's Travels a dream come through. Evie answers questions faster than any agency I have worked with and gets you the information you need, so you can quickly make a decision. Thank you for making this process so painless and having the most amazing properties to choose from.

Fantastic experience: Great service from Chaira at Oliver travels booking my villa. She went over and beyond to make sure we got the pool heated for our stay. A much more professional service than I’ve experienced when dealing with Vrbo. I love the fact that they call you to confirm the booking. The reason for my booking was that they had double booked the villa I’d requested. Thank goodness for the personal service from Oliver’s travels. I particularly like the photos of each member of staff. Helps you connect with the people who are trying to make your holiday a great experience. Looking forward to booking with them again in the future.

Negative experience: Be really careful when booking with this company as you actually aren’t protected and can be let down as easily as an air bnb. We booked a villa on the Southern cost of Crete over a year in advance. It was on the beach and amenities in walking distance. When we arrived in Crete I was told the villa had been double booked. I spent the whole day on the phone being offered villas that didn’t fit out party, villas that weren’t available for 2 days and villas in the middle of nowhere. I was offered one villa big enough and on a beach but they wanted a further £7,000. After hours of stress and phone calls I expected an alternative as I had no other choice. The villa itself was lovely but not great for children and not in walking distance to anywhere. Instead of the beach we were up in the hills. When we got home I wrote to complain but they ignored my e-Mail. Not worth the price.

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Beatrice & Mrs. Lucinda were very kind and professional. Always on disposal and with quick response. All guests which booked trough Oliver's Travels nice and kind people, mostly mid age families. Your Croatian team advised well all the guests about details of my Villa Inka and island of Brač as destination.

Positive experience: Family of 4 adults The villa outdoor area - garden pool and BBQ was lovely, large space and very welcoming for outdoor relaxing and eating. Plenty of areas to sit by the pool. Good fans outside over dining table. Rural Area (Pollenca) of the villa was a little more remote to village than described, but a decent walk, 2.7 km. We loved the old town of Pollenca. Unfortunately in the main bedroom and bathroom significant sewerage smells were uncomfortable and we tried to cover over plugs and drains but not much improvement. Main bedroom fan did not work. Mosquitoes ++ The villa itself is charming yet needs an update in furnishings, fittings and general lighting. Beds comfortable, but bedrooms should have insect screens, one did but not 2 others. Many wild field cats were also around for several days wanting food, but we managed to discourage after many days ! This is not really the villas control! Enjoyed the stay nonetheless, but I think for the cost of the villa quality was not quite there. We’ve stayed in many properties on holiday around the world and in Australia and this one needs improvement. Our caretaker was nonetheless very friendly and cleaning was very good every second day at villa.

Positive experience: Le Cocon is simply beautiful, a wonderful place to stay. It was a pleasure to stay in such a wonderfully decorated and styled property, our hosts were great (the welcome cheese board and champagne were an excellent touch), quick to respond and helpful and easy we would love to go back! We didn’t want to come home !

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, clean, quality villa. Comfy clean beds and bedrooms. Superb bathrooms and all the best of kitchen equipment. Pool was a fine size, clean and warm. Villa in a quiet location but only a half hour gentle walk to a wealth of restaurants.

Negative experience: Had travelled with a well known villa company numerous times previously but having booked for this year they suddenly sent email that they were closing and refunded money. We had flights booked so hands tied on flexible dates and also being a large family group for a long awaited get together. Booking was reasonably easy, and several emails regarding various concierge offerings and specific requests, responded to them and emails that it would be actioned closer to date, Date got closer! Had to call to pay the balance and passed around until someone could sort this, I don't do bank transfers, credit card had better protection but no facility to sort on website. A few more emails and again will be sorted closer to date. Emailed to ask when as we did have some specific requests for small children and having traveled to area before we were aware that guest lists, passport no etc are required, told 4 weeks before departure. Date came and went so I contacted the villa manager whose email was on bottom of an email. Surprised to discover that you can book them directly with that company - but I should have checked that myself Villa Manager for the separate villa company was amazing sorted everything out immediately, we completed all the paperwork between us, sorted the requested cots and high chairs directly with them, shopping for a few basis when we arrived. Finally got an email from Oliver's Travels about a week before departure, frankly far too late so I did reply and say I had sorted it all and got a very short nasty response that the sender then tried to recall! Then an email the night before departure about bits that should have been sent weeks before , as if they could have been sorted in such a short time and we would had no opportunity to try and get if they couldn't I'm not entirely sure what Oliver's travels did to aid our trip! I even managed to sort a slightly later departure with the manager which I had asked Olivers travels to see if was possible months before. I doubt I would recommend or use especially as an employee thinks it is good customer service to send a rude email to a client

Fantastic experience: Wonderful house! Well equipped, comfortable and in a fantastic location for the various beaches. An easy walk into Chania and an even easier bus ride. Can be noisy at night but then we could have shut our windows and used the air conditioner! The property manager was supportive and helpful without being intrusive. Oliver's Travels were professional - cannot be faulted. Everything was as advertised and everything went like clockwork.

Positive experience: Trullo Adriana should be a nice place, but there's room for improvement. At £2500 for a week in September, it's not good value and it’s hard to see what makes the Oliver’s Travels experience ‘extraordinary’. As far as the villa is concerned, there’s the good: - Outside the property is very Instagrammable. The pool is amazing (sadly, too cold to use), so too is the outdoor eating area and BBQ. - Fresh fruit, water, tea and coffee on arrival. - The property manager is very attentive, helpful and speaks excellent English. - The house is clean. But then, the not so good: - Road traffic and noise. This is a big issue. The villa is situated on a quiet-looking country lane. However, it’s a rat-run shortcut between two towns. From 7am to 9am, then again in the evening, noisy traffic is passing the front gate every 30s at up to 100kmh, just a couple of metres from the bedroom. There's no chance of a lie-in and going for a walk around the neighbourhood would be foolhardy. Just driving out of the gate requires nerves of steel at times. - Cheap furniture & equipment. The whole interior is kitted out from Ikea. Everything feels cheap, which is not what you expect at this price. The sofa and beds are uncomfortable, cutlery is flimsy, towels are thin and don't dry properly, cheap flimsy toaster, etc. - Maintenance. There were some small issues, e.g. no jug for the coffee maker, cracked & sticky TV remote, items in the kitchen which felt sticky, etc. - Alarm. Better instructions need to be provided. We had a video via WhatsApp which wouldn't download (mobile reception is poor). As a consequence, the alarm went off as soon as we entered, followed soon after by a visit from the local security company wanting to know what we were doing. - Power. We had a 5 hour outage on one day, with less than 24 hours notice. That may not sound bad, but when the power is off, so is the water supply, which means the house is unusable. - Price. The Oliver’s Travels price is around 20% more than it would be booking locally. Other things to be aware of: - Car hire is very expensive with large insurance excesses. - Parking in local towns can be difficult. - You will need to book restaurants.

Fantastic experience: We loved the property (le Palais d'Or in Loches, France) and found the beds very comfortable. We were a party of 9 and felt that each person had plenty of space. We stayed for 5 days and loved the views, the parking, and the security of a gated entry. It's close to everything yet fully private. At this price point, it felt strange to be asked to buy our own toilet paper, tissues, and laundry soap. Linens didn't cover the large table, and we could not find cloth napkins anywhere. A coffee grinder would be nice as well, and/or pods for the machine. We would definitely stay there again; its just lacking some final touches and the housekeeper lives 40 minutes away. We loved it and hated to leave.

Fantastic experience: We very much enjoyed our holiday, the villa is beautifully designed and very comfortable. The only issue was actually finding the villa the first time, using the coordinates provided that sent us into a field.

Positive experience: Lovely property very helpful caretaker and husband Owners appear overly sensitive about furniture annoying to keep plastic covers on tables and surfaces. 150 Euro for bedding is unreasonable and expensive for thin sheets and minimal towels/ no pool towels provided. Oliver’s travels did not respond adequately to multiple enquiries .

Fantastic experience: Adelaide was fantastic. When the house we wanted was not available she recommended several others. She wasn't pushy was very polite on the phone. We ended up moving the dates of our trip to get the house we originally wanted, and she helped facilitate that.

Positive experience: The pool area and view are amazing also with a lovely covered outdoor area by the villa. The villa itself is very well supplied with everything a family could need. We had an issue with ants during our stay being in the kitchen, floors and work surfaces (even when no food was left out). This might be one off but was our experience. The road to the villa should also be mentioned. There is a long gravel path to the villa which was impacted by the rain. We hired a small car which struggled with the path so recommendation to rent a larger car.

Fantastic experience: I just used Oliver's Travels for the first time and it was such a delightful experience! I was expecting everything to be automated but as soon as I requested the dates I received a follow up phone call and email from Chiara who was lovely. She sorted the slight alteration to the dates and confirmed the booking with the owner really quickly. She was responsive, efficient and very friendly. The holiday isn't for a few months yet, but I'm confident that if I have any questions I can just go back to her and they will be answered. GREAT service, thank you.

Negative experience: On initially arriving at Villa Malpa, we were impressed, the space, the security, the outlook on to the golf course. But that slowly became overshadowed by the smell and lack of cleanliness. The Villas pipe work was pretty disgusting, therefore creating a constant damp/dirty drain smell. The pipe work failed in the double bedroom which needed a plumbers attention, (who left so much mess when he left I had to mop and wipe down after.) We were happy for this to be left until our departure as we couldn't use the room anyway, due to the smell, and the street lights shining through the windows at night. Cockroaches, say no more. Pool area, lovely, spacious, sun all day. But, the golf course sprinklers reach the pool and terraces, so all cushions and any towels or clothing left out, gets sprinkled and is all quite damp in the mornings. The area is nice, but nothing to shout about, lots of building work, so much dog poo. A couple of nice restaurants, 19th Hole and Christies. The flies are a bore, they are relentless and they bite. It is a shame, the villa needs a chronic update, for the money that you are paying. Ending on a good note, David the host is super efficient, and the tv channel selection and sofa area was nice. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the areas taxi service is spot on.

Fantastic experience: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. The location is remote but private and peaceful with splendid views. The host was very welcoming and fell over himself to be helpful during our stay. The accommodation is very comfortable with good air conditioning, wifi and insect screens at the doors. The kitchen is well equipped and there are a number of seating areas around the property for everyone to find their place. We (two adults in their sixties) went with 3 twentysomething youngsters. The youngsters enjoyed the pool area, the outside gym, the barbecue and the darts. You need a car but everything is within easy driving distance. It is a very nice place to return to after a day out.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Oliver’s Travels. The communication was right and when we had an emergency situation come up, they were willing to work with the property owners and help us come to a resolution. I really enjoyed working with Constance. She responded to my inquiries and provided me with all of the info I needed in order to have a fabulous stay in Assos, Greece.

Fantastic experience: Le Martinet is a beautiful, thoughtfully renovated property, very well equipped and comfortable. The various outside seating areas are delightful and having the luxury of a pool while being in a medieval village is a great combination.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely stay at the Villa Giovanta. Our hosts, Anna and George were so helpful and friendly. The villa is stunning and very well taken care of by the owners. The location was good but does require a car, there's a mini-mart, taverna and pharmacy located just down the road as well as the bus stop that we used to go to Chania a few times. As there were 10 of us we did find that we needed more cooking equipment than was provided but as soon as we asked, Anna supplied what we needed. The villa was cleaned regularly and fresh linen & towels provided throughout our stay. The pool area was fantastic with plenty of room for the kids to play and the adults to soak up the sun. I would definitely recommend Villa Giovanta for large families or groups.

Fantastic experience: Nestled in the heart of the Lazio countryside, the villa was the perfect escape for our family holiday. The villa blends rustic charm with modern comforts, offering an authentic Italian experience with all the conveniences you could want. The villa is spacious, with beautifully furnished rooms. The bedrooms were large, with comfortable beds particularly the principle bedroom with an amazing window overlooking the garden and olive trees. The kitchen was well-equipped and the outdoor pool was a highlight for the kids. Simone, the owner, is a delight and could not have been more helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Positive experience: Karat Villa Serendibida - Tenerife This is an incredibly spacious and luxurious villa. The star of the show being the stunning swimming pool in the centre of the property. Overall, a beautiful Villa in a lovely, quiet area. I would recommend a car though as the Villa is located at the top of a very steep, long road. A lovely walk down to a few bars at the sea-front but a hike back up and Ubers are very expensive. There is a small shop half way down the hill, for provisions, but again, a long climb up the hill with carrier bags. Now for the negatives, I was very disappointed to discover that there were many damaged items in the Villa. One of the glass sliding doors in the living area was badly cracked, 2 of the glass panels behind the sunbeds were smashed, garden lights were broken, the hob in the kitchen was cracked, the kitchen unit was chipped and from a cleaning point of view, there were dead cockroaches downstairs and one of the showers had quite of lot of hair in it and was still there after we paid extra in the week for additional cleaning. There was only one towel each for four people even though the Villa was supposed to cater for 8 people and every time we tried to use the Oven, the electrics blew. I mentioned this to the very helpful team at Karat and received an apology and explanation but a little part of me wished these issues had been pointed out at the start of the holiday so I would not have spent the remainder of the time worrying that they thought my family had caused the damages and I would not receive my £2500.00 deposit back! Overall, I would recommend this Villa (once all damages have been fixed) but would definitely hire a car.

Positive experience: Very nice property, house was fabulous, pool and barn great, but the bedrooms in the gite not to the same standard. One bedroom did not have a wardrobe or side table. Shower in the gite was either boiling or very cold thermostatic valve not working correctly otherwise a great time.

Fantastic experience: Amazing choice of holiday accommodation and the communication was great. We had a brilliant holiday booked through Oliver’s Travels and have already booked again. The customer service is excellent.

Positive experience: The villa was amazing, clean and well presented. The lady who greeted us at the villa, fridge stocked some essentials for our arrival, and helped with a pool issue was also amazing and we very much appreciated her help. Booking, payments etc were all handled well. I would have given 5 stars but there was one phone conversation which was, I'll say 'odd', and a little on the rude side. I would use Oliver's Travels again and I would recommend this villa.

Fantastic experience: All in all, a superb stay. The house was a perfect home for our extended family and the enormous grounds, spacious rooms and comprehensive amenities were simply wonderful. The pool is stunning but the unexpected best features are the outdoor kitchen, where we had some memorable family meals, the pétanque court and, sadly, the “work barn” for anyone who can’t disconnect completely. Caux is charming and quiet and the surrounding countryside is stunning. For wine tastings we recommend Domaine l’Unique!

Fantastic experience: Sea Queen villa was an exceptional experience for us. The villa is extremely well situated, near to the beach and an easy bus ride to the centre of Chania. The children loved the generous pool and the villa itself is very well appointed. Mike the owner was very helpful giving us many tips about where to go in the area, which were the best restraints and so on. We would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Positive experience: Good site with some great properties and good descriptions. My only negative comment on the whole booking process is being inundated by emails and reminders and from several different people/sites. I have enough to deal with without all these mainly unnecessary communications.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first rate. The gite was spotless, modern and very well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and very large and there is a huge amount for the kids to do. The big pool was a favourite for everyone, Walking distance to pretty Eymet which has several decent restaurants.

Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed our stay at Le Mas du Parc.The house has a lot of charm and character tastefully furnished by antique furniture. The swimming pool is large with a great view. The owner and a caretaker couple are very attentive and we felt comfortable having them close by.

Negative experience: Customer service from Oliver’s Travels was very poor. I had to make a simple enquiry four times before it was answered. We were told that cots and high chairs would be unavailable. We lugged all that equipment to the Villa only to find that the owners had provided it after all. The “concierge service” is hopeless too.

Fantastic experience: Oliver's Travels were excellent, they answered our question and put us at ease regarding our dog. The property was lovely, clean and beautifully presented. The town of Tetbury where the property is, is lovely with plenty of hotels and restaurants. We tried The Ormond for drinks and food which we recommend, The Chase for a drink and The Gilbertine for breakfast also recommended. Further out we tried The Cat and Custard Pot Inn for a meal also lovely. Bath is easily in reach which we enjoyed for a day too. Parking outside the property a bit hit and miss was the only down side but we still managed to eventually park near by. As a whole a lovely break

Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Maison Des Amis! There were 9 of us and the house was perfect. Beautifully decorated with the most stunning views of the French countryside. It was great to have the house and the annexe as we were two families, so we had plenty of space. We didn’t want for anything but the owner Rob was on hand to help with suggestions for trips and restaurant recommendations. The pool was a great size for kids. All in all, it was a wonderful place for a holiday and we would love to return.

Positive experience: We absolutely loved Villa Elorina and its gracious and gorgeous host Gabriella. The location and the Villa were top and allowed us to have a fantastic holiday with our good friends and young children. Olivers Travels was helpful and it was nice to be able to have one place to communicate and organise extras, but it’s a 4 out of 5 due to 1) the patchy and sometimes conflicting communication of closing details particularly on key items such as cots and high chairs and 2) for a villa at this price point I was surprised by the costs of the various extras - a/c, towel change on top of cleaning costs, etc. Overall though we would definitely go back to villa Elorina. X

Local rep (3 Villas) available and very helpful when needed. We were happy with Oliver's Travels booking process which all went smoothly and they also sent a small gift which was a nice touch. Fantastic experience: This was an amazing place in a picturesque area to share a family holiday. The property had a private pool where we could swim while watching the sun go down, a moat to enjoy some peaceful fishing and grounds large enough to have little reason to leave. The inside of the château is full of character and wonderfully furnished.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a quite idyllic Croatian experience then there is no better place than Villa Bracia. The 180 degree panoramic, unhindered views across the island and Adriatic Sea are stunning both day and night. The owner Mirko, and his team are incredibly attentive, offering advice on local attractions, historic sites, best restaurants and beaches. The villa is very well appointed and a joy to spend time in from the first day to the last. The Island of Brac is unspoiled, family friendly, quiet and enables the visitor to experience traditional Croatian life. Definitely worth a return trip.

Fantastic experience: We booked Villa Iza in Slovenia via Oliver's Travels. It is a superb villa that exceeds expectations. The views are magnificent, and the house takes full advantage of those views with wall to wall windows across every floor at the rear of the property. Inside, the house is of an excellent standard and we were met and looked after courteously by our hosts. There is air conditioning throughout which was vital as the temperature was 36 degrees + every day we were there. We loved being so close to Italy and spent quite a lot of time there. Castle Miramare was a highlight. I would definitely recommend this villa. One note of caution, however: we have booked several villas through Oliver's Travels and have found them, without exception, to be of a high standard. That said, we were disappointed to see that Villa Iza is advertised under a different name elsewhere and the mark up on Oliver's Travel was 100%. I understand that OT check the quality of their stock etc, and promote and manage some of elements of the booking process, but this still seems excessive. I will think hard before booking through OT again, which is a shame.

Positive experience: Lovely Villa with wonderful views, the village is very quiet no shop or bar or restaurant so if you want to go out you will need a car . Unfortunately when we stayed most of the patio furniture was broken this was due to the large gaps in the decking big enough for the chair legs to go down I came a cropper on one , however they took most of them away so hopefully they will have new ones . There also didn't seem to be an iron, just the board, which was frustrating . We had to buy 2 new fans when we where there as it was hot and only 1 fan was working. Also don't use the microwave it seems to not work and let's out alot of smoke so . Oh and bring towels for the pool they only provided 1 shower towel and 1 small hair towel per person. Close the patio door at night as there is an unwanted guest who likes to come in for food and one last thing the cleaners need a new hoover as we discovered that it doesn't pick any thing up which would explain why the rugs where so dirty. Other than all of this we had a great stay.

Fantastic experience: This was the best holiday we have ever enjoyed together as a family and I truly believe Villa Sara was central to our experience. This house, it design, layout and appointment is simply perfect. It lends itself to relaxation, personal space, comfort and elegant living. We will be returning to Sara next year. Fantastic experience: It was easy to book, and we got quick answers to a few questions before we confirmed. Communication beforehand was efficient. The villa itself was outstanding - the best holiday property we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated, well equipped, and exactly as shown in the photos. The pool was cleaned every day, the lovely garden was watered every day, and the villa got a 2 hour clean and laundry change midweek. Recommended if you want somewhere a bit special!

Fantastic experience: We had an incredible vacation in Maison Sebastien. The house is perfect, modernised without losing its old Provence feeling. It has great views, zen-like peacefulness, and all the comfort one can require for a great summer vacation. The pool is the best in almost 20 years of summer renting.

Fantastic experience: House was lovely. When listing says the house has air conditioning, you should specify that it is only on first floor and bedrooms and that renter is charged $.7o kWh per a/c use.

Fantastic experience: We loved our time at Villa La Sabbia! Simona (the local agent) and Gloria (the owner) were incredibly quick to respond and super helpful whenever we contacted them and the Villa was beautiful with everything we could think of catered for. The garden is wonderfully relaxing and beautiful and the nearby town of Noto was just breathtaking with so much to see and delicious food to try. Would highly recommend. You do need a car if staying in order to get around.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience working with Evie to book our wedding venue villa! She always provided quick and informative responses to our questions, and made sure we had all the support we need. Definitely recommend working with her!!

Positive experience: The villa was lovely, clean and comfortable. However we struggled with 30° nights without air conditioning, and were dissapointed that even the very basics of salt, pepper or oil weren't available so we had to buy everything. We also struggled to get in... there was no phone reception there, and after waiting around the property for nearly an hour, had to head into the town to a bar to try and work out how to access it. After many hours in a hot car with two kids and luggage, it certainly lost the appeal it had at the start!

Fantastic experience: Casa Sant Lluis is a fabulous property built in the local Mares stone. It is very spacious with plenty of room for our three generation family of six with lots of indoor and outdoor dining spaces and a really good sized pool. The air con in the bedrooms was very efficient which was a blessing as the temperatures hit 39 degrees on several days! The agents who manage the property locally were so very helpful and couldn't have done more for us to make the holiday special and hassle free. Such a change from previous experiences of local agents in other parts of Spain. Equally Oliver's Travels prooved highly efficient and helpful. I would certainly be very happy to rent through them again. A very happy two weeks in lovely Menorca.
