Fantastic experience: We have just returned from an epic 3-week trip to Thailand. From the moment we started conversations with Sam and Lola we knew we would be in safe hands. ETG first hand knowledge of all the destinations and experiences mean that they can bespoke the perfect trip for you. The trips were personalised with great guides meaning we experienced Thailand from a different perspective. The whole trip worked like clockwork from start to finish, we didn’t worry about anything, and communication was top while we were in Thailand. I work in hospitality and it’s all about the small details and surprise and delight moments which ETG get. Book with ETG you will not regret it!

Fantastic experience: Much was promised us, and much was delivered. The five star treatment never faltered throughout. To catch our departure flight we had to leave our Colombo accommodation at 6.15 a.m. and on the evening before the AC in the vehicle provided to us by ETG developed a fault. Rather than asking us to go without AC for a forty minute journey I the coolest part of the day, ETG laid on a replacement mini-van, complete with its driver, at just a few hours' notice. As per this example, everything was beautifully arranged for us. Very good service in the planning stages also.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Lola and the ETG team, I just returned from a fascinating trip to Sri Lanka. I hiked several stages of the Pekoe Trails, spent time in Galle and Colombo and also took the scenic train ride to Ella. The entire trip was so well organized, the places I stayed were fabulous, the trail guides were knowledgeable and helpful and my chauffer/guide a professional who helped me navigate all the activities I had planned. Experience Travel spent time to understand how we wanted to holiday - to take things slowly and see different things (not the usual touristy things) and the itinerary worked well. Fantastic experience: Without a doubt the best travel company out there! Everything was completely tailored to us. They asked our kids what would make it the best holiday ever and my son said he wanted to sleep in a treehouse….. so we slept in a treehouse!! It’s was incredible. Literally buzzing. Fantastic experience: So grateful to Experience Travel Group for curating such a beautiful and immersive visit for us to Sri Lanka. From the moment we were picked up from the airport we felt transported into another world - full of colour, comfort and care. Our guide brought each new place we visited even more to life with his stories of, and passion, for the Sri Lankan history, culture and nature. Although we stayed at many beautiful places, including Notaries House, The Last House, Amba Estate and Taru Villas, our highlight was The Mud House where we spent time with the team who built and maintain this incredible ecosystem. It is clear that ETG take care of their people - employees and guests - ensuring that tourism continues to support the local economy, in the most respectful way. Fantastic experience: By far the most incredible travel experience we've had to date. I could not recommend ETG more if you want that truly unique holiday. The team at ETG really do go over and above! From beginning to end the ETG touch was exceptional. From the deep knowledge of our travel expert, through to the local agents that met us at the airport during both legs and helped us navigate the airports, to the arrival at the hotel and the less than usual transfer between islands. We travelled to the Maldives and had some specific requests about moving islands from one resort to another. ETG made the whole thing possible and it felt completely seamless. I understand that these kinds of requests are rare and not easy to facilitate. You'd never know it. It was that smooth! Thank you team ETG! Until our next adventure!

Fantastic experience: Top scores on customer service and execution. Despite our deciding relatively late, and the multiple changes to the itinerary up to the very last minute, Experience Travel really showed their "experience" and the holiday was perfect!! Nick at Experience Travel invested much time in understanding our needs, providing suitable options to chose from and fulfilling our requests flawlessly - flights, ground transportation and boutique hotels were all to our liking. The holiday was superb, and the travel tips were great (I especially liked the passport guide book they provided on Sri Lankan food - nice touch). I would use the company again for all future trips to parts of Asia where they specialise.

Fantastic experience: Experience Travel organised a superb trip to Sri Lanka for my wife and I and our 2 friends. Two weeks travelling around the country with a great driver/guide. Amazing wildlife - birds in particular, and a wonderful variety of places we stayed in from safari camps to botique hotels. All went seamlessly and ended up with 3 nights in the Maldives! A great holiday - thanks.

Fantastic experience: Quickly picked up on our interests and arranged an amazing and varied tour of Vietnam in 2014. Brilliant at personalised tours with one-to-one guides and a good choice of hotels in a variety of standards and styles. Their knowledge of the country helped tremendously. I was so impressed by their service that I used them again in 2015 when I travelled to India to do volunteer work followed by touring the Golden Triangle. This was the first time ETG had organised trips to India but again their service was second to none. I saw more of "real" India rather than the tourist spots that my volunteer colleagues were dragged around. :) Here's hoping that my husband's health improves so we can travel together next year. I really fancy Sri Lanka and wouldn't consider looking to any other tour operator. Not the cheapest but certainly the best!

Negative experience: We just returned from a two-week trip to Vietnam, which was a customized private tour developed for us by ETG. We were deeply disappointed. The itineraries scheduled did not reflect our interest or instructions, rather it was the standard ordinary tour. That was the quality of the hotels and vehicle drivers was excellent the tour guide support largely unsatisfactory. We fired three of the five guides because they were neither communicative no more well-informed. We “flat out“ refused to do some activities and eat at tourist restaurants scheduled by ETG and were in frequent communication with the Hanoi office to modify our program. In sum, these issues, created anxiety, frustration and required, detail attention to scheduling our days. Our trip was saved by Lan Pham the local ETG representative who responded promptly and changed our activities. He was open, friendly, and went out of his way to see that we got a brief chance to explore some of the ancient byway’s and local foods. He understood our requests and was easily able to accommodate our desire to see the “real” Vietnam We loved Vietnam, in spite of ETG. This is the avenue I is filled with young people and the activity of the country going forward. This sense of history combined with the decorative sensibility, the spicy refreshing Vietnamese food, and the friendliness of the local people contributed to an excellent trip. ETG over promised, and under delivered so we strongly recommend go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Just returned from 3 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia. Our objective was to see beyond the war-torn media coverage and to get to understand the culture and the people. The tours were exceptional and exactly what we were looking for, from city walking food tours to madcap Vespa rides into the countryside; from kayaking in the Bay, to a fishing boat and floating restaurant on Cambodia's lake. We have been tested beyond our comfort zones, but have learned so much about those beautiful countries, and their troubled past. So, once again Experience Travel has been a most satisfactory choice. We’re knackered, but have a very rich stream of memorable experiences, have met some extraordinary people, and had some amazing adventures. (I’d never been on the back of motor bike before). That Jaya House River Park was a special experience to end the trip, and the Capella in Hanoi was a perfect entry point to the South East Asian culture shock. And in between: variety, rising suns, stunning pools, ancient history and long abandoned temples, information, statistics, recent personal tragic histories, cuisine, and traffic. We can now cross a Hanoi or Saigon main street with confidence. Everyday a new adventure and a new Experience.

Fantastic experience: I've just returned from my second holiday with Experience Travel group - this time to Thailand. What makes this company stand out is that the tours are tailored to your personal preferences and level of fitness - anything from a lazy few days in a luxury hotel to a more adventurous trek. Without exception the local guides are friendly, eager to convey the love of their own country, so you'll get a real insight into the culture and cuisine at local markets and restaurants as well as seeing the 'must-do' attractions of the areas visited. Brilliant!

Fantastic experience: We left for Cambodia on the 29 th of January . It seemed like a miracle . We eventually met our guide for our three week travels at a deserted Siem Reap airport , his first work as a guide for two years . We were greeted as ambassadors of hope everywhere we went . The whole trip was an exceptional experience thanks to the wonderful Experience travel group and especially Nick who planned our itinerary paying much attention to our requests and needs . The combination of careful planning , few tourists and a guide and driver that were simply the best made for a wonderful trip . Go , go , go !!!!

Fantastic experience: I have also just returned from my second amazing holiday with ETG. And what an experience! Firstly, the opportunity to get just far enough out of your comfort zone elevates a luxury holiday into the experience of a lifetime. Also, if anything does happen while you are away, their support and care is amazing. In my case I developed a small retinal tear which needed urgent treatment in an eye hospital. Our wonderful guide drove 6 hours to Colombo where I was met by Thushni, who runs their operation in Sri Lanka. She kindly stayed with me all day and helped me navigate the confusion of a big Sri Lankan hospital, which I can't believe I'd have managed on my own. Aside from this little hiccup, the trip was mind-blowingly brilliant. We stayed in ridiculous places, off the beaten track and full of luxury touches that big western hotels could never replicate. The hand made table decorations are just one tiny example of this. It really is the best way to see another part of the world, and not just stay in a posh hotel on the beach. Although we did that too!

Fantastic experience: Incredible planning and excellent service both before, during and after travel. Such an incredible way to see a country and experience it through local eyes whilst still enjoying incredible hotels, wildlife, activities, beaches and food along the way. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: After a wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka we returned to ETG to plan trips to Vietnam , Cambodia , Thailand and most recently Oman. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Nicks attention to detail is meticulous. He takes time to understand exactly what you want and his knowledge of the countries , hotels , excursions etc is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and all our holidays have gone without a hitch . Particularly impressive is their concern for their local representatives and their desire to give back to the countries they represent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a holiday in South East Asia.

The London based team travel to and know their destinations intimately and keep abreast of any developments or trends (both macro and minor) which may impact the level of service and enjoyment to be expected while on holiday. Having recently returned from Sri Lanka and had to contend with all the C19 related complications we can attest to the high level of service, support and flexibility provided by ETG from initial enquiry, to preliminary booking, to final preparations to arrival and enjoyment of the holiday. Fantastic experience: Jan-Feb 2024. Hyderabad – south central India - Goa – Mumbai. This was a great trip full of richness and good surprises. South central India has fantastic Mogul architecture then changing southwards to the Hindu treasures of Hampi and Badami. After all the overland travelling, the Vivenda dos Palachos, a traditional Portuguese mansion in Goa, was a perfect place to relax. This was our eleventh trip with ETG.
