Fantastic experience: Alharam travel was recommended to me by a friend who had recently booked through the agency I contacted the agency and spoke to Omar, he was very professional and listened to what I wanted and came back to me very quickly with a umrah package which I was pleased it And the price was very compatible we stayed in clock tower Zam Zam and in madina we were also in Pullman Zam Zam both hotels were perfect with great locations, all transport was arranged within the package arranged by Omar everything was like clock work the private cars would be in regular contact with me to confirm pick up times etc I was very pleased with the whole package and don’t have one negative thing to say Omar went above and beyond he even contacted me whilst I was in Saudi to check everything was ok and if I needed anything I would highly recommend Alharam Travel and would recommend to speak to Omar In shaa Allah I will definitely be using Omar again in the future

Fantastic experience: Alhamdullilah we had an excellent Umrah experience. The package was very good and everything went relatively smoothly. Our time in Makkah was fantastic. The Hilton Convention hotel was near to the Haram, however it was on a hill so not ideal for elderly or ill pilgrims. But the hotel itself was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic which great choice and good quality food. The transfer company was excellent and maintained good communication at all times. We had a slight problem in Medina as we were booked with the Emaar Mektaan but when we got there they had overbooked so sent us to the Emaar Royal. The hotel was right next to a very busy road and there was a lot of construction work which wasn’t great. The rooms were also quite small for 4 people. The breakfast room wasn’t big enough to accommodate all the guests and felt very congested. However, the location was excellent. Only about 4 mins walk to Masjid. Especially convenient for women as we came straight to gate 25 which is ladies entrance. Also between mosque and hotel was an excellent choice of restaurants and shops.

Fantastic experience: After looking for a last minute umrah package we were put in contact with khurram . His service and communication was first class. Everything he promised was delivered. Any questions were also answerd promptly. The hotel transfers were on time and the drivers were polite and helpful. Definitely recommend and will use in future inshallah.

Negative experience: Never again!! Visas got rejected and even though I was told they will be part of the package I had to pay nearly £90 per passenger in Saudi. Refused to refund me the money I originally paid for the visas. Hotel in Madina was too far. My mother struggles to walk and I told them this. Makkah hotel was good but both rooms (because there was 7 of us) were too far from each other. Told me the flight is back from Jeddah at 8am. I asked will I be able to catch the train back for the flight and they said yes. The trains don’t start running till 6am so I would have missed my flight. I had to reduce my stay in Madina and book a hotel in Jeddah for the next day. (I should have checked myself but these guys knew what would happen before I booked, so they took advantage) These guys are not helpful at all. Before you pay your money make sure you have everything right otherwise they will not care. Kept asking for a good review before we went on our trip and now I know why. I book every year and I thought I’d try them. They have lost repeat custom from myself even though they could have retained me by doing simple things and honouring the original agreement. This was the worst experience for me so please be careful.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I managed to get the same annual leave from work and decided very last minute we would surprise our Mum with an Umrah trip for us. Nadia Maria and Kiran Murtaza went above and beyond to make this happen less than 2 weeks before our travel date. Nadia put together various packages for us, including hotels we had researched and made all the changes we needed. I know this wasn’t easy but Nadia made it look so effortless and did not make me feel like I was creating extra work for her in any way. Kiran stayed in the office til 1am trying to secure our flights and confirm all the hotel bookings. I am eternally grateful to both of them for such an excellent effort. Negative experience: Part 1 I used Al haram travel in November 2023. I have got in touch from the time we came back until now and none of the travel agents nor the management have cared to help. We travelled as a family of 8. We paid over £6k in total which included flights, visas, ziyarat and travel. I had kept the agent Nadia up to date whilst we was abroad about the numerous problems we was facing with our booking.We was guaranteed and told the driver would pick us up from the airport & drop us off outside our hotel THIS DID NOT HAPPEN and he dropped us off in an unknown place and told us to walk to our hotel. On reaching the hotel we was told we could not check in until 8am and so had to wait 2hrs in the lobby with 2 children and our elderly mother, this service was appalling as I had specifically asked Agent Nadia and was reassured there will be no problems checking in at this time as our flight was reaching in the early hours. Unfortunately for us, it didn’t end there. When I contacted the ziyarat company for our ziyarat they messaged me back and said we had no booking. I immediately contacted Al haram travel Nadia and was told she will contact the company. The company then several hours later contacted me and by the time this was sorted it was close to Maghrib/sunset and so when we did go out for the excursion we could not see anything. The driver did not take us close to any of the ziyarat locations as he said ‘it’s dark and we cannot see’. Many of the locations were also missed. This was again a very dishonest and appalling experience totally opposite of what we were told and paid for! On our last day in Makkah we was contacted by the travel driver to Madinah to meet him at ‘the bridge’ this again was not specified and we was told the driver will come outside the hotel! Upon arriving at Madinah the driver went in circles trying to find the hotel and even tried to drop us off at some random place claiming it was ‘our’ hotel so unprofessional. On finding our actual hotel we had to wait in the lobby for 2 hours AGAIN after being told we had no booking in this hotel. Again, I contacted Nadia immediately which finally was resolved by the hotel who then said we need to wait until 4pm to check in bare in mind we had just had a 5 hour journey from Makkah to madinah and then had to wait for a further 2 hours before being able to check in, all the while having 2 exhausted children and an elderly mother. This was terrible and unprofessional from both Al haram Travel and their travel company in Saudia. In madinah we contacted the ziyarat company however no one even got back to us so it didn’t happen. Since arriving back I have contacted Nadia and several other travel agents in Al haram travel who assured me it will be passed on to management I WAITED 4 MONTHS for someone to get back to me. No one did, everyone sent me around in circles with half promises of getting back to me, after several calls I managed to get through to Noman (manager) who assured me he will be contacting the travels company in Saudia and get back to me, again 2 months passed and he didn’t. I called back again and again and 1 month ago I got through to Elahi Baksh (manager) who again assured me he will sort this out for me and told me he will get back to me, again, he didn’t. Now again, I am contacting the office trying to get hold of him being told he is not available or he is not in the office. Monday, I got through to agent Ikra whom again claimed Elahi Baksh is not in the office. Everyone from the staff to the management are sending me in circles. I have given benefit of the doubt to the company for the most part of a year however now seem to realise they having me off! I WOULD NOT recommend this company as when making the booking they was very prompt, kept good communication and made a lot of false promises however after we paid the money and faced MANY issues on our trip no one is now getting back to me to resolve my issue. This is a very unprofessional and unethical way to do business and I do not wish this upon anyone. Do not book with this company !

Negative experience: Subject: Disappointing and Unprofessional Service from Al Haram Travels Dear Al Haram Travels and Omar, I am compelled to share my extreme dissatisfaction with the experience provided by your agency. The entire package was misleading, poorly organized, and did not match the promises made at the time of booking. 1. Unprofessional and Unqualified Drivers: We were assured of professional, English-speaking drivers who could guide us through the tour and provide context on the places we were visiting. Instead, the drivers could not communicate in English, leaving us without any insight or guidance. This lack of communication significantly hindered our experience, and we often felt lost and unaccompanied. 2. Dirty and Unmaintained Vehicles: The vehicles provided were in poor condition, both dirty and uncomfortable. This did not match the standard expected from a reputable travel agency and made our travel unpleasant and frustrating. 3. Constant Demand for Additional Payments: Throughout the tour, we felt continuously pestered for more money. It became clear that the priority was on collecting additional fees rather than ensuring a positive experience for the customers. The approach felt opportunistic and exploitative, leaving us uncomfortable and dissatisfied. 4. Argumentative and Uncooperative Behavior from Omar and Staff: Omar, specifically, displayed an argumentative attitude, dismissing any concerns we tried to address. This resistance to feedback and unhelpful behavior from your staff created an unwelcoming environment and showed a lack of respect for our needs as customers. 5. Inadequate Room Arrangements and Poor Coordination: Despite paying a substantial amount for our accommodation, we were met with a poorly prepared room, with beds not even set up upon arrival. In one of the rooms, we had three adults and two children squeezed into a space that was insufficient for a comfortable stay. This lack of preparation and coordination made us feel unvalued as guests. 6. Limited Itinerary Flexibility: When booking tours, the coordinator showed an unwillingness to listen to our requests or adjust the itinerary to include additional stops. We were given the impression that flexibility and customer preferences were not a priority. 7. Extra Payments, Bribes, and Lack of Transparency: In order to secure some of the services, we were forced to pay bribes and additional fees just to receive what was promised. This practice is highly unprofessional and creates an atmosphere of distrust. 8. Lack of Assistance with Basic Flight Arrangements: Despite expecting full-service assistance, we were left to handle our own seat reservations on flights, something that should have been taken care of by the agency. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. To anyone considering Al Haram Travels, I urge caution. Our experience has shown that this agency prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, leading to a stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing journey. We hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to prevent others from facing similar issues.

Negative experience: Our experience with ALHARAM TRAVEL was absolutely terrible from start to finish. They initially promised to handle the E-Visas for our family of four, so we submitted all required documents within five minutes of their request. But despite following every instruction, only the two adult visas were processed, and we were left waiting indefinitely for our children's visas. We contacted them weekly, then daily as our travel date approached, only to be met with empty promises and assurances that it would be "handled soon." Finally, on the very day we were set to depart, they admitted they couldn't complete the kids’ visas and advised us to sort it out upon arrival. This last-minute revelation created needless stress and anxiety, which could have been avoided if they had just been honest from the start. Had they informed us sooner, we could have arranged the visas ourselves well in advance. On top of the inconvenience, we ended up paying an extra £81.34 per child for E-Visas on arrival—an expense that was supposed to be covered. This unprofessional handling and lack of transparency made our experience with ALHARAM TRAVEL a nightmare. Our experience with ALHARAM TRAVEL was a disaster, especially when it came to checking into our hotel in Swissotel Makkah. What should have been a smooth arrival turned into an exhausting, frustrating ordeal—on what was supposed to be a special and spiritual trip. We arrived around 2 pm with a group of 14 people, including seven children, after nearly 24 hours of continuous travel. ALHARAM TRAVEL had supposedly reserved three rooms for us, including a Junior Suite, and gave us “hotel vouchers” in advance. However, when we arrived, these vouchers were completely useless because the hotel required a “Confirmation PIN” to check us in—a crucial piece of information that ALHARAM TRAVEL hadn’t provided. It took about 30 minutes of back-and-forth on WhatsApp to get two of the three rooms sorted, but when it came to the Junior Suite, things completely fell apart. ALHARAM TRAVEL couldn’t provide the PIN for the last room, and their only suggestion was, “Please use one of the other rooms to rest and relax.” This was beyond infuriating. Our group, especially the kids, was exhausted, and we were trying to prepare for Umrah under increasingly stressful circumstances. ALHARAM TRAVEL promised that the suite would be ready closer to the official check-in time at 4 pm. With no other options, we tried to make do with just two rooms while anxiously waiting for the third. But even as 4 pm passed, there was no sign of the missing confirmation, and we were forced to spend another 2-3 hours in WhatsApp messages, voice notes, and broken promises just to get access to the room we had already paid for. To make matters worse, ALHARAM TRAVEL directed us to some unknown “Guest Handler” who supposedly would help us at the hotel but wasn’t part of the official check-in staff. The whole setup felt shady and unprofessional, leaving us wondering if we were the victims of some questionable business practices. Despite ALHARAM TRAVEL insisting we shouldn’t pay for an extra room, we spent hours in limbo, simply trying to get what we had been promised. Eventually, we did get our suite, but only after 5-7 hours of exhausting back-and-forth. This level of incompetence and disregard for our well-being was absolutely shameful. It felt like they were trying to cut corners by not securing our reservations properly. For anyone considering ALHARAM TRAVEL, beware: what we went through with young children is not worth the stress, especially on such an important spiritual trip.

Negative experience: ***Please read before booking with them*** I had used al haram travel 6 years ago, and although it was stressful whilst booking and their delays with visa, once i was out there, the trip went smoothly. So i decided to use them again this year due to their competative price... BIG MISTAKE ! They are very helpful and responsive when it comes to getting quotes and paying deposits, which they pressure you into doing. They also incessantly ask for reviews, hence the heaps of 5 star ones you see here. Check them out on TripAdvisor instead as they don't ask customers to rate them there. 1st problem: booked a family of 14, 2 of the visa was not done in time. Bare in mind these are just e-visas which can be done in a couple days. We booked about 3 months before our umrah. So in the end we had to get visa on arrival and pay £80 per person for those 2 missing visa, which they refuse to pay for. 2nd problem: booked package for my dad and the flight voucher they gave did not bring up any booking. When i contacted qatar airways they said the booking is an open ticket and at this moment my dad does not have a seat in the plane. I had to chase alharam for 2 weeks to sort this out and they only managed to fix this 1 week before flight. 3rd problem: booked swissotel makkah. When we arrived the hotel could not find our booking. They needed some confirmation number and none of the references on the hotel voucher were correct. The hotel voucher is a pointless document. We had 3 rooms, and whilst they gave the confirmation numbers for 2 of the rooms when i contacted al haram, they made my wait 5 hours before providing the last one. They gave me number of their guest liaison who contacted me and could not speak any English. The hotel staff did not know who this was either. He kept saying he will come sort the missing room out but never came. So over 5 hours we were stressing about not having a room. We were so close to booking a new one as it was getting out of hand. He never came to the hotel reception as he said he would and we were sat there waiting and stressing for hours. He eventually texted me the confirmation number, i don't even know how this man looks but they clearly have some dodgey dealings since the man couldn't come into the hotel to meet me. It completely ruined my umrah experience dealing with this stress on the same day I was performing umrah. It was honestly disgusting. 3rd problem: booked a triple room. Was giving a twin room with an extra bed. This extra bed was not a proper bed and was hard to sleep on. So here they charged me for a triple room but kept the profits for themselves and booked a twin with extra bed instead. Overall the biggest problem is the insane amount of stress we encountered as a result of this company. They do not book things properly and do not fulfil their promises. If you want a smooth trip, book with someone else or just book umrah yourself. This company will ruin your umrah and take away the peace and tranquility that you need to enjoy your umrah.

Positive experience: I used Al Haram Travel for my first Umrah trip in 2017. Had great customer service from them, so decided to use them again for my second Umrah trip in 2024. I dealt with Ahmar and it was great speaking to him. Told Ahmar what I was looking for and he came back with a reasonable priced package so I booked with them. The hotel in Makkah was the Hilton Convention, located with in walking distance of the haram. Would really recommend the hotel very clean modern & the breakfast was amazing. In Madinah we stopped at Saja Al Madinah, wouldn’t recommend this very disappointed my advice would be pay extra and book a different hotel. Overall great experience dealing with Al Haram Travel had a small issue with luggage allowance but nothing that couldn’t be sorted. Thank you Ahmar

Negative experience: Please please avoid booking with this company. I booked an umrah package with them a year in advance for 10 members of my family including myself. The person dealing with my package was Iqra. When requiring payment the company is very prompt and quick to ask for and receive the payment. They lure you in by telling you they are genuine and other companies will either increase their prices or mess you around after a while. They do a lot of sweet talking to gain your trust but then do not deliver. I paid nearly £15000 for my package. My visas were not processed until 3 days before my flight. I did not receive my hotel and transfer vouchers until 3 days before my flight. Upon arrival at my Madinah hotel, the hotel reception could not find my booking. I contacted the travel agent Iqra who sent me another confirmation with a completely random persons name. I was tired and so was my family some who were unwell and also we had 2 babies. Iqra WhatsApped me over a random persons passport picture and only then was I able to check in. After checking in the hotel told us that they had booked us classic rooms and not the deluxe rooms we had paid for. These rooms were poorly ventilated causing many health and safety issues. Iqra had promised me a refund upon returning to the UK. It has been three days and she has stopped responding to any of my messages. I am certain that if this is not resolved in this world. They cannot get away with cheating and stealing peoples money on the day of judgement. Allah is the most just!! Please avoid this agency and do it yourself, you will be spared of your stress and anxiety.

Generally a very good experience, my agent Hasnain was always readily available for any queries or problems that came up before and during our trip. He took responsibility and sorted out everything very well. Will recommend using their services.

Negative experience: LIARS AND FRAUDS!!! This company is an absolute nightmare! They lure you in with false promises and friendly smiles., but once they get your money, it’s all downhill. They constantly demand payment, yet fail to deliver on anything. We dealt with Iqra who was lovely and helpful, until we had a few weeks to go and that’s when it all became apparent nothing was booked/done even they said it was and it became an experience I’ll never forget. Our tickets showed "outstanding payment," when trying to check in and our hotel reservation wasn’t done in our name, leaving us stranded and unable to check in all with multiple unwell members of the family and 2 babies. Even after we were able to check in the rooms we got were not what we paid for, again we got more lies that the hotel is the ones messing around and saying the deluxe rooms we booked were not available, after speaking to the hotel manager who showed us what was booked and confirmed they have deluxe rooms but only the basic rooms were booked. After everything that has happened I believe the hotel over these lying people of Al Haram Travels (more like nothing but Haram Travels). To add icing on the cake, once we returned they stopped returning messages and calls, so the so refund we were promised we would get can also be added to the list of lies. The whole experience was nothing but stress and frustration caused by Iqra and Al Haram Travels. Save yourself the trouble and **avoid this company at all costs**. It's a scam, plain and simple! *Just a reminder* You may think you’ve gotten away by lying, stealing and cheating but Allah sees all and you will be held accountable for all the grief and trouble you have caused myself and our family in our Umrah trip. I sincerely make dua that you mend your ways and you don’t put anyone else through what you done with us

Fantastic experience: After previously using bricks and mortar companies to book my umrah trips I decided to bite the bullet and go with a primarily internet based one as I was able to customize my needs. I decided to go with Alharam Travel as it featured heavily in google results. I was slightly hesitant as the reviews varied quite a lot from excellent to poor, but speaking to my Alharam rep over the phone most of my fears were allayed. Nadia (my rep) was extremely helpful in finding my package, dealing with up to date info regarding flights, hotels, visa, vaccines etc. Any time I had a question I had a prompt response. They didn't rush me for payments (although a decent sum is initially required to book the flights), visas were timely sorted, contact with their Saudi staff was liased etc. I am now back in the UK and I can safely say going with Alharam Travel was well worth it. They delivered everything they promised. Even the ground transport was prompt keeping in touch with me via whatsapp. They even 100% confirmed the hotel bookings in the last 24 hours. Now I'm sure there will be a few people who've had negative experiences with this company, but seeing as we've just come out of the Covid hangover I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. But as far as I'm concerned the service they provided as been excellent, everyone in my party was thoroughly happy.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Alharam. I was recommended the service from a friend and I was not sure what to expect, but my representative Iqra was extremely helpful and always available to support me to choose the correct package and was very cooperative even though I had changed the details of my package quite a few times. I stayed with the Hilton Continental in Makkah which was only a few minutes from the Haram and was convenient in almost every way. I also stayed at the Emaar Maktan Hotel in Madinah which was also very pleasant with very friendly staff members and only a one minute walk to masjid Nabawi. Would definitely stay at these hotels again. The overall trip was very smooth and it was really reassuring to know that I could contact Iqra to help with any issues if needed. This is the first time I bought a package deal so I was a little nervous but it was honestly the best decision ever and me and my family enjoyed every minute of the trip. I will inshallah definitely be using this service again.

Negative experience: My experience with this travel agency was nothing short of a disaster, and it deeply saddens me that such incompetence could mar a journey as sacred as Umrah. From the very beginning, HUSNAIN proved to be utterly incapable of handling even the most basic aspects of travel arrangements. He initially booked the wrong type of plane ticket, forcing me to purchase another one out of my own pocket. This was only the first of many mistakes. The situation worsened when it came to financial dealings. His communication was vague and inconsistent, leading to confusion about the total amount owed. Despite the fact that everything was clearly documented on WhatsApp, it became impossible to resolve these discrepancies, as a large portion of the payment had already been made. It felt as though we were trapped, unable to hold him accountable for his errors. The most distressing mistake, however, was the transfer voucher he sent us. Not only was it filled out incorrectly, but it also had the wrong date. This error went unnoticed until it was too late, resulting in us leaving Mecca a night earlier than planned. This not only deprived us of another precious opportunity to perform Umrah but also meant we had to pay out of pocket for an additional night’s stay in Medina. What makes this experience even more painful is the fact that this was a journey of immense spiritual significance. Umrah is meant to be a time of reflection, devotion, and closeness to Allah, but instead, it was overshadowed by the constant stress and financial strain caused by this agency’s gross negligence. To add insult to injury, HUSNAIN’s son pressured me to leave a positive review before we even completed our trip. Now, I understand why. They were more concerned with covering up their incompetence than providing the level of service that pilgrims deserve. This is deeply troubling, especially considering the rewards they could have earned by serving pilgrims with honesty and integrity. I strongly believe that this agency will have to answer to Allah for the way they have treated us and possibly others. Their actions tainted a journey that should have been purely spiritual, turning it into a source of stress and frustration. I urge my fellow brothers and sisters to avoid this agency at all costs. Do not let them ruin your sacred journey as they did mine. May Allah guide them and protect others from falling into the same trap.
