Fantastic experience: Originally used Tropical Sky to book a 10 day all inclusive break in the Maldives and it was a smooth process from booking with the holiday being better than we could have hoped for. Have recently used their Canadian Sky for a longer trip to Canada (fly/drive, then Rocky Mountaineer followed by an Alaskan Cruise before flying back home). We made a number of upgrades and the overall price seemed to be highly competitive with similar Canada packages offered by other operators. The experience went like clockwork from start to finish - it was good to know that the logistics had been so well organised by Canadian Sky

Fantastic experience: Booked with American Sky for Western American Discovery tour. Never heard of them previously but liked website and good, straightforward communication with Alan Facer. Email communication carried all salient facts without being overwhelming. Payment also easy to achieve. They dove tailed flights in with American Travel Service tour. This was wide ranging over 2 weeks with excellent tour director. Very enjoyable if exhausting but no reservations at all about service standards from American Sky . ( I am an older , single travellers)

From the moment we began planning, their team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, especially Amanda and Karen. Amanda was our main point of contact for booking. Her expertise and understanding made the whole booking process stress-free. Karen took over once the wedding details were in motion. She handled all the wedding documentation, ensuring everything was in order and that we had everything we needed for our big day. But her support didn’t stop there—after we returned home, we faced a small issue with some post-wedding paperwork and Karen was there to help us resolve it. Together, Amanda and Karen made what could have been a stressful process feel incredibly easy and enjoyable. Fantastic experience: I have used tropical sky a number of times and there itinerary’s do not disappoint. We travelled to Vietnam & Cambodia at the end of March/ beginning of April and despite getting caught up in the Heathrow power outage due to a fire and our initial flights getting cancelled tropical sky got us booked with another flight the following evening reasonably quickly and we had a fantastic 13 days, the tour guides with Lux travel were all great , so knowledgeable and passionate for their countries, we travelled from Hanoi down to Hoi hi minh with various stops at wonderful places, Hui, Hoi An and others, catching internal flights and then over to Cambodia. Probably could have done with few more days as very busy moving around. All hotels were of a very good standard, all different but all have the most polite helpful staff. Food everywhere was excellent. Have no hesitation to book again with tropical sky.

Fantastic experience: Great holiday to US and Canada booked with Tropical Sky (American Sky) at a price we loved. Alan organised all the flights, hotels and train journeys between cities. Hotels were all in great locations close to 'tourist' places we wanted to visit and everything ran really smoothly from start to finish. We had a couple of queries before we went and staff were quick to answer and get back to us so great customer service too. Would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I were planning a trip to the USA and my sister recommended contacting American Sky. From start to finish the team were excellent in helping us plan suitable stops and ensuring we had a good selection of hotels available. Additionally they provided the hire car. After booking we needed to make a few amendments and American Sky were fantastic in facilitating our changes and catering for all our needs. Once on our holiday the hotels and the car were exactly what we required and we had a very smooth experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking at a road trip or similar.

Negative experience: Asked for a quote nearly 2 days ago, spoke to someone yesterday. Nothing more. Told we would receive a call yesterday afternoon, nothing. In which case we will take our custom elsewhere. Bad customer service.

Fantastic experience: Tropical Sky is a great company to deal with. On this occasion, we only booked the hotel and the transfer back to the airport. When our flight changed, they sorted the change of transfer time, all done via email. They are very responsive and will find hotels to suit your requirements and budget.

Fantastic experience: Just came back from a Kenyan Safari booked through tropical sky. Communication was quick and booking was easy through them, they were very flexible. Was a bit wary in the run up as obviously the trip was very far and for a reasonable length. The quality of the flights, hotel and trip was all excellent. Fantastic experience: We decided to book our all-in-one dream destination wedding holiday & honeymoon with Tropical Sky as we found our holiday organiser Janet simply 'got' what we were trying to achieve from our budget. Not only did Janet understand the holiday side of things but she really understood the wedding side of things too, and every call or email quickly got closer & closer to our ideal plan. Janet knew where we could save some money in order upgrade other parts of the holiday i.e. indirect flights = a much, much better wedding hotel. We toured Sri Lanka for a week and we were able to customise the tour exactly how we wanted. Janet did all the hard work in finding us the perfect wedding hotel for a week, and it was the same for the island choices for our honeymoon in the Maldives. I must also mentioned Karen who helped with the legal paperwork for the wedding. I found this quite stressful at one point (my partner has been married before so we had a bit more paperwork to be certified than normal) but Karen was very helpful, not only at explaining things in 'English' but also reassuring me that everything was going to be ok). I've never had such a good booking experience and our holiday was a complete success; everything ran like clockwork and everything was 10/10.

Positive experience: Hawksbill is a gorgeous resort in Antigua although not suitable for people with mobility issues Tropical Sky got an excellent deal there and on plane upgrades as well ! A very pleasant firm to deal with as well

Negative experience: Booked a holiday to get married in Sri Lanka. All seemed ok until i checked how far the airport was from the hotel .. apparently 6 or more hours away, was not informed of this at the time.. and think i should have been made aware of this plus any alternatives, especially if they advertise the COMPANY THEY SAY THEY ARE! QUESTIONABLE NOW. With the response from the booking agent as to a no answer from a question i asked, lost all hope that this company has no intentions of making our time stress free and special. Be wary.

Negative experience: Paid Tropical Sky 35k for 7 Days in dubia at Five Hotel, This has to be the worst hotel I have stopped in filthy damp smelling. Took 4 days for hotel management to come to see us even though I contacted Tropical Sky on the first morning complaining. Turns out that they dont check out any hotels that not on the tropical sky portfolio. and just use ground handling teams that are a waste of space. couldnt even be bothered to listen to the issues and photos sent to them, and just sided with the hotels responce. offered a £200 voucher why would I want to spen any money with them again.....Legal route now under distance selling.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used Tropical Sky twice now (Route 66 Self Drive in April and May 2023 and Canadian Eastern Spirit Self Drive in June 2024) and I have to say that Jade and Julie are fantastic travel experts who make sure that everything is planned meticulously so that you can rest assured that everything will go smoothly and focus on enjoying your holiday. Their prices are reasonable and fairly competitive, they take into account your needs, budget and the main highlights you want to focus on whilst you’re away and they’re always on hand to help if you need assistance with anything. Would highly recommend based on my past experiences.

Negative experience: Lost 1500 deposit, didn’t seem to understand that my circumstances had changed, told many different things by many different reps, then we agreeing to a potential holiday they hound you to everyday. In the end gave up and told them that they could keep my deposit. Would never book with these guys and also in comparison to what they had offered you can find better deals elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Booked with Tropical Sky for my trip to New Zealand last year. I went on an escorted tour then visited relatives afterwards. I had prompt help and calming advice (really needed) both when the night porter couldn't find me on the system in the 1st hotel (1.30am arrival - he didn't look at the group bookings despite me explaining to him) and then when my flight home was cancelled due to the flooding of Auckland Airport (massive panic on my part) They also worked out the best plan for me to visit a relative after the tour with a following flight to visit another relative before the transfer to Auckland afterwards (8 days tagged on to the trip) I can't recommend them highly enough.

Positive experience: I've used Tropical Sky successfully a few times, so naturally returned to them for planning a trip to New Zealand. Sadly, they were found wanting on to his trip. Where as before they seemed 'expert' in our destination and came up with wonderful ideas, I found myself having to do alot of the work myself. The company they hired for our 19 day excursion across NZ was Grand Pacific, and I would thoroughly recommend you going straight to them. Others on our travel group did and I can see why. GP clearly have the local knowledge and can put an excellent itinerary together. NZ Sky were also weak in selecting hotels in Sydney and we ended up suggesting one we identified, I highly recommend Radisson Blu on O'Connell Street. I will carefully shop around next time I plan an exotic holiday.

Negative experience: Very quick to promise dates & take money (over £5000) only to backtrack and try to upsell. Whoever we had dealt with didn’t even have the courtesy to handle it herself and passed over to another team member. Overall I’m already somewhat disappointed and, nervous considering this was for our wedding, and leaves us in a difficult position. Giving a chance to rectify and offer reasonable alternatives.

Negative experience: If you want to book your dream wedding stay clear ! The service was great until they had our money and from then until the wedding the service was beyond dreadful. We believed that this was a small business who would give personal exclusive care but we were very wrong. We were given misinformation, correspondence was appalling and the information about the resort and the availability of the wedding we wanted was incorrect. We wanted a luxurious, private and relaxing wedding which we did not get. The terrible service added stress and upset to what should have been a relaxing, dream wedding. The resort accepted responsibility for it's short comings yet Tropical Sky had no interest and were unwilling to accept any responsibility. Unfortunately for us our memories are tainted and out wedding substandard which is heart breaking after working so long and hard to pay for what we thought would be a once in a lifetime experience.

Negative experience: We booked our honeymoon through TS, paid a €700 deposit, but unfortunately needed to change the dates due to a family matter. They told us we would have to put an additional €700 down even though they already have our initial deposit, and haven't booked anything yet. We asked why and they said "because the dates are different".. "but you haven't booked anything for us yet".. "it's policy". A quick google search and we found much cheaper options than what TS was quoting us, so we declined to pay more money for no service and they unapologetically kept the €700 deposit for doing absolutely nothing. Nice business model.

Fantastic experience: Booked our Wedding/Holiday/Honeymoon for 12 of us to Mauritius via Tropical Sky and the team were Fantastic - our Agent Samantha was superb from Quote to final Confirmation, we could not have asked for more. Customer service was great any queries were answered and we had an incredible trip. Karen the Wedding representitvie was on hand and very helpful in ensuring everything ran smoothly for us. Thank you Tropical Sky, I would highly recommend and will be using again.

Positive experience: Tropical Sky staff were very helpful and experienced. There is nothing too much trouble, but they were hamstringed by both a local travel firm EXO and BA. The slight downside was having to deal with a local travel firm in Japan that was less flexible and had to deal with BA business class flight booking changes made by BA subsequently. Wanted to make some last-minute changes, but this proved too much for local travel firm EXO. Just wanted 1 less night in the hotel in one location and add a night in another location. I ended up having to book the changed night in another location myself without any issue but still had to pay for unused night in the original location. BA changed our flight dates outbound and inbound, originating in Manchester (UK) flying via Helsinki to Tokyo. The result was that we had to book an overnight stay in Helsinki outbound and inbound. Not only that, but BA inbound flight was to take us to Heathrow with no booked flight back to Manchester. Again, we had to find our own flights from Helsinki back to Manchester, booked through another carrier. In this day and age, hotel and flight bookings should be able to be changed quite easily, even if this incurs a reasonable subsequent charge.

Negative experience: BEWARE ! had previously booked with this company and no problems but soon as a issue arises all is not OK and they won't put right! Booked a dream holiday to Cuba in a very specific hotel only one of 2 on whole island that would go to due to what we were after ! On arrival to booked hotel was told no reservation and we had been moved to sister site, this due to area we booked into was being renovated and hotel had known about this for weeks ! The hotel we gor moved to did not have what we wanted and in turn completely ruined our dream holiday, we complained next day to tropical sky about how unhappy we was who accepted our concerns but never sent anyone to see us to put it right! We were just left in hotel we were unhappy in and never would have booked ! There is clear breach of contract as we didn't get holiday we paid for and wanted and when significant change we must be informed and given right to cancel and get full refund..... this we was not ! As all above advised by citizens advice ! We have tried get full refund but with no luck, tropical sky have shown there true colours, don't trust them! Would like point out on the holiday a hurricane hit which they were fully aware of but still they left us stranded and we had fork out 3 extra nights and rearrange own flights home as they did not send anyone to assist us.... like whole holiday ! This company will take your money and when you need help and things to be put right( full refund due to breach contract and our legal right not given... to change /get refund for change in holiday) they will let you down ! Avoid at all cost stick to kuioni who have been fab even when things go wrong and even TUi !

Negative experience: Booked a holiday with them which was postponed due to covid - no issues. However had to cancel holiday under regulation 18 ( as per legal advise) they still refused to repay deposit. Got directors involved but they really didn’t care. If I could of afforded to take legal route I would of as advised by many I had a case

Negative experience: Originally booked, then covid came. When we could travel, one of our flights got cancelled. Rather than offering a refund they insisted we change to an alternative flight. We then had to change destination due to covid, but with all the trouble in Sri Lanka it was not safe to travel. We tried to change this and they then insisted that as we were changing to a dearer resort we would have to pay an additional £700 deposit so they could pay for the hotel. Never in all my time travelling has a deposit depended on the cost of a holiday.to say they are rip off merchants is an understatement. Stear well clear of them. Very quick to take your money, very poor customer service. Would never recommend

Negative experience: Initially staff are helpful until you get passed on to the expert (Johanas, Africa) numerous phone calls and emails over two days. Wife refused to talk to him in the end.

Negative experience: Used tropical sky to go on holiday, they just kept trying to get more and more money. For example, we booked a trip on our holiday and payed, then tropical sky got back to us to say the trip was sold out and we would have to pay an extra £600 each to book it, when we said no to come up with something else they suddenly changed that to an extra £50 each. We also payed for the original hotel whilst we were on the trip which we were told to move out of, yet we never got our money back. Do not recommend at all!

But this company booked it anyway,back and fourth on the last week waiting on alternatives on the last day before leaving we were told to book the last flight ourselves ,we were iniatially told tropical sky would sort a flight and even a hotel to compensate for this error but we had to do it our selves more added cost !!! reinbursing was talked about but never happened ,we got original non possible flights refunded but have to redeem voucher through tropical sky which will never happen,and still waiting on a reply from them too from 14days ago I have never been so stressed sorting my wedding/honeymoon,fake promises,over priced,extra cost,poor customer services I would never book with this company again nor would I recommend to anybody ,absolute joke ,very poor company whos reviews has severly dropped since original booking Had to leave one star as it wouldnt let me leave * 0 stars *

Fantastic experience: Fantastic company, have found the most amazing holidays for us from a week in the sun to a once in a lifetime Anniversary holiday. They were brilliant with my 70+ young Dad and and found him a perfect tour round Costa Rica. I would recommend them to anyone you can book on line or ring up and speak to advisors who specialise in areas so they know their stuff and really look to find out what makes your perfect holiday and find it for you.

Fantastic experience: Tropical Sky have been looking after us for a long time! My now husband and I started looking at what we wanted for our combination wedding and honeymoon trip back in October 2019, and with a lot of assistance and ideas and back and forth we booked our original wedding trip in January 2020, to take place in May 2021, for our party of 7 adults all on separate bookings. Then Covid happened and we had to reschedule our wedding multiple times. Then with three months to go until May 2022, we had to move it to completely different hotel on a different island because there were no longer any internal flights between the islands we were booked onto for our trip. Katie spent a long time going back and forth for us getting so many different options each time we had to reschedule, Karen was really helpful with the planning of our wedding itself, and Julie saved the day when we had to change hotel and islands and got us just what we wanted, including upgrading our Sandals room for our honeymoon week. We had a wonderful two weeks in Saint Lucia with one week as our wedding week with our family, and the second in another hotel as honeymooners. We had some issues with our wedding hotel but Tropical Sky were really helpful in getting this rectified when I contacted them. They also provided helpful documentation and information and the transfers etc were all straightforward and went smoothly. We would definitely use Tropical Sky again - I've had to contact them so many times over the past couple of years that their number is saved in my phone. I won't be deleting it and we'll definitely book something again when finances allow.

Fantastic experience: We got married on the beach in Barbados, I was a bit nervous at first, I called, they gave me a price, a week later I paid it & everything was emailed to me, we had all inclusive, 101% I would honestly recommend them...........

Negative experience: We asked for a pool with for over water Villa, was agreed then they said it wasn’t the case, very poor customer care and certainly do not recommend. Make sure you get everything in writing especially with poor company’s like tropical sky

Negative experience: AVOID. We are taking legal action against Tropical Sky as my travel partner's husband passed away suddenly and I was unable to travel on my own. The airline has refunded the cost of the flight to Tropical Sky but Tropical Sky refuses to refund the money. We are now taking Legal action to recover the funds.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. We have booked our last 3 holidays with T.S. It's so nice to speak to a person that is honest. Our last trip was Thailand staying at 3 different places including a 2 night 3 day at an elephant sanctuary. Everything went to plan, the drivers booked to take us from airport to hotel, then hotel to hotel ect were spot on time. The hotels recommend were absolutely stunning, we were treated like royalty. We totally trust T.S and have booked our next trip to St Lucia in Feb 23.

Negative experience: Until now i'm still puzzled on why I was not provided a quote. I'm a solo traveller that seeks comfort and a hassle free trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. I have travelled with tropical sky before to Thailand and that actually went quite well. The assistance I got this time around was appaling, sending me links to check solo travel agencies, complete silence and no replies to specific requests for quotes and insinuations that i didnt have budget for their trips when all i said was that i had an initial number but that was flexible depending on my findings...this customer service is absolutely terrible. I mean if the agency is meant to be working only with couples and families then the least they can do is say so. I don't recommend it to friends, family or any fellow solo travellers.

Fantastic experience: Booked a holiday aeound a year ago for my wifes 50th.Was alway kept upto date with flight times etc. Just returned from Barbados had a brilliant time .Everything was organised flights ,transfers ,and hotel . Brilliant service provided by tropical sky couldnt fault a thing Thank You

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Our experience with Tropical Sky (TS) has been a living nightmare spanning 2.5yrs. With their reviews plummeting (3.1 on Trust Pilot), clearly we aren’t the only ones. We booked our honeymoon with TS 04/20. COVID hit, we requested a refund but were scaremongered into rebooking + told we would likely lose all costs (10k) if we didn’t. We shared concerns about COVID prolonging, they confirmed they would refund us if the rebooking was cancelled again. So, we rebooked to 04/21 thinking we had nothing to lose. As the time neared, we contacted TS about the booking being cancelled. As front line workers we realised COVID would continue and didn’t want to rebook a second time. TS stated they were awaiting Travel Advice + repeated that we will be refunded if it’s cancelled. In 02/21 we received an invoice from TS who REBOOKED our holiday to 11/22. This neglected our clearly stated preferences + contradicted that “every effort has been made to either rebook or refund the client in accordance with their wishes" during COVID (submitted by TS to Companies House). The booking changed the destination + reduced it from 2 weeks to 5 nights, meeting their criteria for a ‘significant change’ + subsequently breaching their T&C’s: “If circumstances are such that we are forced to make significant changes to your holiday, we will immediately contact you to discuss your preferences… In such circumstances, you will be given the option to accept the changes + any resulting change in price or opt for a cancellation + full refund.” Customer service were initially confused, responding, “did you not rebook this yourself?” After weeks of attempting to gain answers, we finally received a response: “We did this in your best interest to maintain ATOL protection”. We articulated ourselves in an assertive but calm manner + at no point did this warrant their unpleasant attitude (on 2 occasions we were hung up on mid conversation). We also noticed when we called from our mobiles the phone was picked up + hung up so we only got through by hiding our caller ID. In 08/21 we formally complained + requested all data as per GDPR. They were only able to provide telephone recordings after 10/20 because their computer systems “changed”. A striking coincidence that this is the timeframe evidence of their misinformation occurred. Their response to our complaint was: "you aren’t eligible for a refund because you made the decision to rebook the holiday". No acknowledgement given to the fact they had taken the liberty to rebook a second time. We were getting nowhere + in 02/22 attempted to rebook. TS acknowledged we wanted to reduce the budget and said of themselves “the facility of itinery changes without change fees is one of the most flexible in the industry". Unsurprisingly, they went back on this. After receiving disproportionate quotes, we researched the same holidays and dates ourselves + found prices to be quarter - half of the price cheaper. Their quotes also didn’t match their own website guide prices for the same months (about £500-1000 out). They finally admitted they had added a “change of holiday fee of £100pp”. We reminded them that they promised not to add change fees. They then changed the reasoning of the additional costs to be a “downgrade fee”. When we pointed out that 100pp still didn’t account for the obscene overpricing, they said “we need to make money somehow”. We asked for an itemised quote to trace this, they refused. They have made finding a holiday within our generous budget and open criteria impossible intentionally, so they keep our full deposit. We will be using every platform available to share our experiences. We hope this will protect future customers from believing, as we did, that TS are a “friendly team” who “answer calls within three rings” + your money is “safe”. So that TS can identify us, our booking references are: TSR556967 + TSR617901. If TS wishes to resolve this we will only be too happy to move forwards + update our review. It is sadly more likely that we will have to take legal action.

Positive experience: Great family company. More taylored holidays than the usual "off the shelf " package holidays.

Fantastic experience: Booked a holiday of a lifetime through Tropical Sky for me and the missus. Maldives. Obviously we had some broad idea of what what we wanted, but Tropical Sky pulled it all together and got the perfect resort (Sun Siyam) and the room (villa on the beach with private pool - heavenly) and flights that got the most out of a 12 night stay. Real personal and engaged service. Top quality. Definitely recommend and will be using again.

Negative experience: I'm sure the holiday would have been good but we spent 2 years waiting only to be let down 2 weeks before the event. Helpfully moved our trip twice due to covid. Which is why they kept above 1 star. (The sales office are chatty and helpful) However 3 months before the trip was due, they booked completely different tickets via a completely different layover on a different day that we couldnt make [term time], only telling us 2 weeks before the flight was due when we queried why we hadn't heard anything. We then battled for a month to get any refund back phoning up everyday hearing every excuse imaginable.

Negative experience: That like taking your money but will not give you a refund I had troubles paying them with my M.phone and my iPad. Paid £200.00 in 3 ways would not do any more.My Bank told me to get a refund and they will sort it all out for me.Tropical Sky will not pay me my refund. So we can not go on a holiday with them.My Bank will not give them any more money till I get my refund. So I do not recommend them. All so they do not get back to you when you send them a email.
