Fantastic experience: Just come back from a ten-day tour of Uzbekistan. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our tour guide Fax was friendly, attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I feel I should make the observation that this was more of an “adventure” than a “holiday”; we were rather full-on, which suited me. I get bored sitting by the swimming pool… Starting in Tashkent we flew to Urgench then took coached to Khiva, Bukhara, Shakrisabs and Samarkand where we then took the train back to Tashkent. There was plenty to see and do at each stage, and having been shown around a town we were often given free time to explore on our own. The locals were friendly; many of them spoke passable English (far better than my Usbek), and having done this tour I wouldn’t hesitate to go on another Titan holiday.

Fantastic experience: Recently returned from the great Indian rail journey.My wife and I could hardly believe the value for money.From pick ups from Durham to Heathrow and back,to the number of coach and train journeys , quality hotels, great choice of food throughout and our first night in Heathrow Hilton. What really made our trip a success was our guide, Prashant,who managed a party of twenty four very varied, sometimes a little unpredictable travellers with ease.Nothing was too much trouble for him and as a group we gelled and warmed to Prashant as he kept us safe, well informed and a little entertained by his mix of authority and humanity.Where do I begin with the tour itself ? India,a country of extremes.Poverty,wealth,order,chaos.Sometimes bleak,often breathtakingly beautiful.The people,the cities,art, architecture,flaura and fauna.Delhi,Jaipur, Amritsar,Agra, Ranthambore, Chandigarh and the icing on the cake that is Shimla. An absolute masterclass of man versus nature,the railway and buildings are an unbelievable feat,but wait until you see the dual carriageway being built on the mountainside.I could go on for a very long time but I'll just post some photos.Thanks to Titan,thanks to the excellent Prashant and and a massive thanks to the other twenty two travellers who helped shape our holiday of a lifetime.

Negative experience: THE GREAT INDIAN RAIL JOURNEY!!!! (Dreadful) Avoid Titan and Saga at all costs. False descriptions of the tour and dreadful administration Returned to the UK last evening with a great sigh of relief after the worst holiday ever. 1. No block booking of airplane seats by Titan. (Husband and I sat apart on the long, overnight flight) 2. Unable to pre-book seats as Titan reference numbers did not coincide with anything. 3. Husband and I not sat together on any of the train journeys! In fact, on one occasion I was sat, alone on a sleeper carriage, a couple of carriages away from the rest of the group who were scattered over two or three carriages. Terrifying as a female to be sat alone in the midst of noisy locals!!!!! (Eventually the guide, Rahi, did come to rescue me and found a seat near the main group) 4. The guide, Rahi, would usually get off the coach and begin walking off without waiting for all the group to disembark the coach. (Spot the guide in the crowd!) 5. The guide, Rahi, refused to use any identifying prop such as a flag, hat, jacket or umbrella. Frightening to be in the manic crowds of Delhi and other crowded places to be unable to see the guide. 6. NO AUDIO HEADSET system on any excursion 7. The guide, Rahi, didn’t face the whole group, but stood sideways on and was unable to be heard by the majority. 8. OUTRAGEOUS behaviour by the guide when he enquired as to the whereabouts of my husband, whom I explained was in bed with an upset stomach and was feeling unwell. Rahi DID A REVERSE AIR PUNCH. This was in response to an earlier conversation when my husband had complained about our separate seating arrangements. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL 9. When we arrived at Heathrow to find our aircraft seats were not allocated, we were advised to speak to our guide on arrival at Delhi. Rahi merely shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn’t do anything. 10. Tour pace incorrect - gruelling pace and only half a day relaxation due to the guide, Rahi, throwing in visits to shops and factories fie him to earn his commission as I head him tell another!!!!!!! 11. When off loaded the return flight due to illness, we were unable to get in contact with Titan/Saga. Left in Delhi without an hotel or flight!!! Found accommodation but didn’t remove shoes or clothes due to the poor standard. Final summary: Poor, disappointing, inefficient, incompetent, misleading, misrepresentations, are just a few words to describe.

Fantastic experience: We had a 2 weeks fantastic holiday arranged by Titan to Vietnam and Cambodia. Excellent,well organised Throughly enjoyed. Very good service by Vietnam Airlines, if you could afford book it in premium economy. We had a door to door service , picked up to airport from home and then dropped at home from airport, very convinient. Particular credit goes to our guide THI who is a caring, knolegeable, friendly down to earth man who made our trip a memorable one. I don't think so....Titan sent a Toyota Prius uber to Stanstead for a return journey to Newport, S Wales. 4 adults plus luggage! the experience was anything but luxurious. Contacted Titan on the return journey and since return. They simply didn't seem interested and offered us a £300 travel discount off a future trip! After a lot of emails they converted it to a £300 cash refund. Give it a lot of thought before booking !

Positive experience: 3 week trip, Vietnam & Cambodia (Laos was cancelled due to flight issues). Busy itinerary with lots of varied trips, numerous boat ones too. Good local guides provided. Hotel options were very nice. Transfer from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, then arrival at Hanoi Hotel could have been improved by Titan guide, due to lack of his whereabouts or arrival 'hello I'm here' ... but he made up for this during rest of the trip. Enjoyed holiday and would use Titan again (who are now part of Saga).

Negative experience: Bit of a scam to be honest. Going down just like the Titanic. I'd advise to be extremely cautious making any booking with this travel company. Senior management are inept and incompetent understanding very little about the actual travel experience and not sure that care that much, although they try hard to what they can get away with to feather their own nests. It doesn't get any better as you descend to the Director Level of the company Mr. Squirell and his trusty sidekick & lieutenant Matt Gauntlett who has the title of Director of Customer Experience, talks the talk but is as incompetent as everyone else in any kind of management role. He likes to threaten the young, inexperienced staff who don't know any better and employs his despicable cultish Jehova Witness tactics in any kind of discussion. If your holiday isn't as you expected and fails in so many ways, perhaps send a thank you to Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Squirrel and Gauntlett) and ask Saga directors why those two twits are still employed.

Another phone was also used but again NO ANSWER, and the web site did not help (two phones used on two numbers NO HUMANS available to help discuss a holiday). Negative experience: They are a bloody disgrace. I spent 3 days a few weeks trying to upgrade my flights for an upcoming holiday. I spent in excess of 8 hours on the phone and never got to talk to a living person. Friend fortunately had a contact who offered to help. Problem solved in 48 hours. More recently, close friends had booked to go to Hawaii. They had paid the balance when out of the blue my friend passed away totally unexpectedly. His daughter contacted Titan and received a stock letter addressed to the deceased saying that they were sorry he had decided to cancel the holiday and offered a 50% refund. No acknowledgement that he was DEAD! Disgusting. You people need to get back into the office and stop pretending to work from home. I am about to embark on a vacation with Titan, but I think it will be my LAST. I hope it's worth it as it is the most expensive holiday I will have had. It had better be good. They are really disappointing.

Positive experience: STOP!!! We've paid a deposit for a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, but we said we wanted to upgrade the flights, which is important to us - it's a long way. This isn't included on the itinerary, no big deal, I just need to call them to update it. Forget it. Called customer service 4 times and hung on for over an hour each time. No answer. I get that companies can have exceptionally busy periods, but they need to do something to help their clients. Not answering the phones isn't it. Now we're trying to guess whether they're in trouble and what to do about the deposit. UPDATE Titan called me and confirmed that my request for flight upgrades was on the system. Took over a week, but better late than never. Pleased to hear from them, hoping they can resolve the unacceptable issue of not answering their customer service phones before their customer base goes elsewhere.

Negative experience: Booked holiday to Austria late May. Great speech by tour manager about how good the salads are at the hotel. Funny 8 day tour no salad served.First night weak tasteless chicken soup. Normal tour 25 Saga had added their group to ours so now restaurant which normally sat 25 had 44. Problems for people with mobility issues. Hotel not geared up for people with mobility issues. After complaints food improved slightly. Holiday only saved by tour manager and drivers professional attitude to group For a holiday that cost over £3000 I would NEVER book a holiday with Titan/Saga again.

Negative experience: I will try to be as fair as possible with my comments, firstly l must say my wife and I enjoyed a very well organised holiday in Japan. The Rep and the local guides were excellent very refreshing after our experience with Titan office staff. Now to the crux of the matter, Titan Office Staff. At the best they are badly trained and totally incompetent at the worst badly mismanaged and chaotic. Our inaction with Titan started 7months before we departed on our £10,000 + holiday to Japan when we booked our holiday. From the start the Titan operatives seemed very confused, thus lot’s of phone calls ensued be prepared for long waits and a different person to eventually answer the phone. Take everything you are told by with a large pinch of salt and double checking everything, even if they promise to call you back at a given time (Alex Gravstock) they won’t. We were miss sold an extra being told if we wished to travel on that date we would have to pay for a hotel upgrade! From the very start we were told that our flight JAL 42 was leaving from Terminal 5, so l booked a night at the Sofitel terminal 5 (£200) without breakfast.On the morning of the flight we made the 200yd walk to Terminal 5,on arrival we tried to check in using the check in machine no luck. Then tried a manned check no luck, by this time we were just over an hour from our flight time. Contacted Titan who asked why were we at Terminal 5 informed us we should be at terminal 3 so then the race was on to get to Terminal 3. I am 67years of age,in the process of dashing to get the underground l ruptured my MCL knee ligament very painful!. We did make our flight but on arriving in Tokyo spend time and money to get to a clinic. Then hobbled around Japan on a diet of painkillers. On our return we complained to Titan they did refund us for the miss selling but denied any responsibility as to my knee injury.l argued that I was doing something l shouldn’t have had to do in a place l wouldn’t have been if it had not been for there total incompetence! My advice if you are travelling with Titan would be to check every single detail twice if not thrice.Not the service l would have expected for a holiday of this cost.

Negative experience: They may get another review post holiday but pre departure customer service is awful at the moment. On hold on phone until you give up and email response taking 2+ days if at all. This is trying to contact them a fortnight/week prior to trip departure... Can't keep using covid as an excuse! Pleasant when do manage to get hold of someone and they sorted one issue (incorrect pickup address) but we've given up of the other... For the money we paid and how they sell themselves it's not great.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently returned from Titan Travel's Majesty of the Danube River Cruise. This was our first river cruise and we were very impressed. The facilities on the ship were great and with only 92 cabins it was easy to get to know other passengers and staff. The food was excellent and plentiful and the inclusive drinks during lunch and dinner flowed freely, served by the friendly, efficient waiting staff. We booked a superior cabin with a Juliet balcony which was clean and spacious with ample storage space. Both the included and additional trips were well organised with good local guides. We would have preferred a little more time in some ports but such is the nature of this type of trip - just a taster of what is on offer. When our flight home (on Monday 28/8/23) was prevented by the major UK air traffic control problem and we had no idea how we would get home or what would happen to us in the mean time, Titan were quickly on the case and found all passengers overnight hotel accommodation, took us to and from it, and liaised with the airline regarding our replacement flight - it would have been far more difficult for us without this. Thank you Titan and especially Cruise Director Colin Thompson and his assistant Paula who worked into the early hours of the morning sorting things out. We would certainly recommend this Titan Travel river cruise and look forward to travelling with Titan again.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic holiday in Mississippi. Right from our chauffeur driven car picking us up to the return journey, we had a great time. The first hotel The Gaylord was amazing,absolutely huge,first class. The second The Double tree in Memphis unfortunately wasn't, the hotel was tired and very basic, the only plus was where it is situated in the centre of town, we were only there two nights so it wasn't to bad. The American Queen Steam Boat was first class all the way, thoroughly enjoyed the seven nights sailing down the Mississippi. The last hotel the Sheraton New Orleans was very comfortable too. Our guide throughout our time away was Laura Tuttle. she was amazing, very knowledgeable, and helpful. We also had a coach driver Guil, who went over and beyond to give you the best time. Other coach guides included Jim,who was so funny, and also very knowledgeably. Very entertaining throughout. The entire itinerary itinerary was very well thought out, included a huge variety of visits to different Interesting locations. Highly recommend using Titan for all your holiday destinations.

Positive experience: Excellent ship. Lovely crew. The food was fantastic and the tours very well organized. I would highly recommend them. The only downside was that the wifi was dreadful and the special assistance passengers were not expected at the airport and were treated badly. Fantastic experience: We have just returned from a Titan holiday to Egypt . It was an 11 day trip . 3 nights at the hotel Sonesta in Luxor , then 7 days cruising on the Nile from Luxor to Aswan and back on the M.S Livingstone . It has been the easiest most effortless holiday you could possibly imagine . If you want a totally hassle free holiday then that’s what this is Everything is organised for you , everything is arranged …from all inclusive food and drink , to tours and activities and even wake up calls to get up in time for these . There really is nothing for you to do except to ‘turn up ,’ enjoy your time and enjoy the activities and tours you are taken on . The holiday starts when you are picked up from your doorstep and driven to Heathrow Airport and ends 11 days later when you are returned from the airport to your door . On arrival in Egypt you are picked up from the airport by the Egyptian Titan Rep and driven by coach to your hotel , where your bags are taken to your room by the porters . It truly is one of the easiest holidays I have ever been on! We had a wonderful Egyptian tour guide , Ayman Rashad who picked us up from the airport in Egypt and stayed with us for the duration of the holiday right to getting back on the plane in Cairo . He sorted out anything and everything for us while we were there from getting tickets for the tours , to wake up calls , to shepherding us on and off coaches, to sorting out rooms , booking us on extra tours , even down to personally going out to buy us a phone cable as we were missing one . He was very calm , gentle , polite , quietly spoken , excellent at speaking English , knowledgeable , kind and friendly , very approachable, totally organised, happy and laughed a lot . ….We couldn’t have asked for anything more from him! He was wonderful and a pleasure to meet and spend the time with . There were several tours already organised and paid for in advance but if you wanted to do extra tours rather than having some free time relaxing at the hotel or on the boat , there was opportunity to book on them at the welcome meeting held the morning after we arrived at the hotel . The itinerary for the week was explained then too . Ayman then organised all the extra tours for people to various destinations and back again as well as the prebooked ones . An Egyptologist by the name of John Gamil accompanied us on the trip and stayed with us from the morning of the first tour til the last evening. He guided us round the temples and tombs and came on the coach with us to each giving us a commentary about what we were seeing as we drove along . John is Egyptian and was as incredibly informative about modern day Egypt as he was about ancient Egypt and clearly loved his country . He was absolutely brilliant. His boundless passion and outstanding knowledge about the tombs and temples made the whole experience of visiting them truly brilliant . His wise advice  and concern for safety were exemplary and his wonderful sense of humour  and lovely laugh were a real joy. What more could anyone want ? Both John and Ayman used a sound system called ‘whispers ‘ when speaking to us . Each person was given a listening device and set of head phones which linked to the speaker . This was another excellent feature as it meant they were always easy to hear even if you weren’t standing really close by them. Both the hotel and the cruise ship were excellent . Food and drink were all inclusive at both and were of the highest quality . They were both spotlessly clean and the staff were wonderful, friendly and always there to help . So there it is . I would thoroughly recommend this Titan tour and to Titan travel I thoroughly recommend Ayman Rashad and John Gamil . As for Egypt itself and the temples … they were staggering./ amazing . A privilege to see . I can’t fit more in to write

For a company which is supposed to provide escorted travel, we never saw a rep except when we were on the ship and then, he mostly communicated through the ships tannoy system. Negative experience: Very poor communication. Tried calling the line was busy and offered to call me back, ETA was an hour, a few days later I'm still waiting. Tried emailing even slower response, not really sure how you will sell any tours this way 7-10 days to respond to an email and no one picking the phone up. Try ecommerce and sell the holidays online would be easier like TUI or BA. Also get rid of your dodgy VIP number, the agent recommended a seperate phone number and company Travel Club Elite, to charge my father over £600 to basically call Titan and book the trip for him, magically she gets through so maybe a commission I'm guessing. I did contact Titan about this on Twitter but no response. Not happy at all since my father is elderly and does not understand he called Titan but is received communication from Travel Club Elite...

Negative experience: Compared with previous tours with them our trip to Sicily was very poor. 43 on tour, too many. Tour manager disorganised and ill prepared. Coach PA not working, no attempt to repair. Some of days wasted due to lack of information. Visit to vineyard not completed. Some meals not to standard. Because of the lack of quality they have probably lost 43 future customers, wouldn't trust them again with my plans.

We booked 2 years ago and now that we are traveling in 3 weeks' time we are told "we can't provide a room with two beds" when that was clearly a REQUIREMENT we made clear so very long ago. We are two friends traveling and I cannot imagine another tour operator telling us NOW we must share the same bed!!!

Positive experience: Across Canada trip booked pre pandemic... Great trip .. lovely country ,very friendly people. However... although the tour guide was excellent,the management of the logistics was poor.., Coaches didn't always turn up,sometimes broke down...and ,on the last day no coach for the journey back to the airport! In the end four minibuses were procured ..partly at the personal expense of the tour guide! Added to this,hotel bookings were muddled...resulting in us walking back and forth between hotels...and hanging lobbies. Be aware that these tours are pretty full on.. I think a few more coffee stops for us older folk would be appreciated. Overall though we loved Canada!

Negative experience: Disappointed, communication prior to leaving poor and since. The trips were good, plus food. One trip did not materialize and no mention of it. We thought there should be a tour of Amsterdam following our boat trip. We also should have had lunch included on fifth day, again it wasn't and no mention was made. On returning home we looked at our brochure to check and discovered we were correct. Advise if travelling with them take the relevant pages from brochure with you so you are sure.

Negative experience: I've not been able to view my documents on Titan site for the best park of a week now. Checked on Qantas site to check our seat reservations were OK and found no info. Rang Qantas to be told the travel company have cancelled our seats we had paid extra for!! The hold time trying to get through is ridiculously long. To say we are upset is an understatement. What's going on Titan?? We fly 5th Oct to Australia or we were meant to be!

Decided to take the refund this time, and received the cheque in full within seven days of requesting it. Reasonable offer to re-book, but no pressure when we decided against it. Fantastic experience: A good fair company to deal with. Our cruise planned for this June was cancelled. I was supposed to complete payment for the holiday at the end of March. Earlier this month they notified me and promised a refund of my deposit. Within 4 days the money was in my bank account. I couldn't have asked for better customer care and will certainly use TITAN again once the restrictions on travel are lifted.

Negative experience: We booked a Christmas market trip which was affected by a significant number of problems, most of which could have been better managed. response has been poor from Titan. Too many issues to list, but as an example, we were told it was a direct VIP door to door service, this was confirmed to us by phone and on the confirmation paperwork. We did not get this service and it added a few hours to our journey, which was already significantly delayed by - outbound - missing train due to poor time management and return 4 hour delay and ferry in rough sea when we were advised it was train crossing. Titan response - check the small print!! This was more of a standard river cruise, no real attempt to offer a Christmas market experience, didn't help that boat broke down so main market was missed and we were not allowed to leave the boat docked in Mainz for 4 hours (all afternoon) which we could have spent enjoying the market in Mainz. We were finally allowed to leave the boat but it only gave travellers 2 hours to walk there and get back for evening meal. Never Again
