Negative experience: Terrible. I am waiting for monies from 2020 for a holiday that got cancelled due to COVID. They have taken zero ownership and cannot provide a date for when they plan to repay the monies.

Fantastic experience: Citrus were fantastic. Our trip to Peru was incredible and the such good value for money. All trips, internal flights, transfers etc were seamless and the guides at each stop were brilliant, friendly and well informed. Each hotel on our tour was different to the next and interesting, location was always great! Honestly can't fault them and would definitely be happy to book with them again and recommend

Negative experience: I paid for a holiday two years ago. Due to Covid, Citrus had to rearrange and offered refund. Two years on I am still awaiting my refund. No one answers the phone. I have emailed continuously, being told I am in the waiting list for. A refund. I would not recommend this company for after sales care.

Negative experience: If I could give this organization -10 stars, I would. We booked travel (3 travellers) and paid over $10K CAD in Sept 2019. Pandemic hit, we were patient and tried to rebook but cancelled many times due to travel restrictions. Feb 3, 2021 after many many months of requesting refund, they agreed to a full refund. They then stalled in many ways, advising they were "chasing accounts" (who the hell is accounts??!!) for our money. They said that they had requested a refund from Air Canada on May 24, 2021, but we have confirmation Air Canada refunded them April 6, 2020. They then asked for SWIFT banking information to deposit payment (refusing to refund our original payment type which was Visa). Fast forward to Feb 28, 2022 (after we got a lawyer involved) the lawyer Anita Hoxha with Citrus Holidays Legal, advised refund would be issued. Here we are Oct 28, 2022, 3 years from booking the travel and 20 months after being promised a refund, with nothing. There are no phone numbers, no one calls you back, and they don't reply to emails. They are liars, have essentially stollen our funds (confirmation that Air Canada refunded them for our tickets, which they have not refunded us). We never travelled to Ecuador... and we would strong advise no one give this company or their parent company, Benz Travel, a single dime of money. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THIS ORGANIZATION!!

Negative experience: Booked a holiday to Kenya in November 2019 then covid happened. Deferred the holiday to November 2021 but due to Kenya requiring 7 days isolating out of a 9 day holiday and the UK requiring 2 weeks isolating at a cost of £2000 we reluctantly decided to cancel. Citrus promised a refund and even took my bank details but nothing came of it. Absolutely appalling "service " and would recommend everyone to stay well clear of them.

Negative experience: FINAL UPDATE: Another YEAR has passed and it’s obvious Citrus reneged on a promised refund of $850. Moving on, won’t ever use this company again. Feel sorry for the other customers who lost much more money than we didn’t. BUYER BEWARE: Update: Zero response from Citrus. BUYER BEWARE. (May 25, 2021) After waiting more than a year for an $850 refund I’m now not hopeful of seeing anything. Citrus didn’t even respond to my last request on when I’d receive my ‘promised’ refund. I believe I’ve been patient, fair and understanding with how travel companies have been hit hard by Covid. I was courteous until I started receiving nothing but ‘form’ letter responses. I’ve never been disrespectful. Won’t ever use this company again. (January 2021) After initially being pleased with the Citrus response to our Covid-canceled holiday last April - a promise of vouchers and a cash refund - it’s now 34 weeks since that promise was made. More than 8 months have passed awaiting $850 refund. Officials reply the same way every time I ask for an update: “it will be refunded as soon as possible”. I paid $4100 8 months ago. KLM had a voucher in my hand in 4 weeks. Citrus? Not impressed.

Negative experience: First holiday was great Booked and paid for another now they are not honouring it and not only saying a refund takes a minimum of 3 months but are trying to charge for it. Once they got my money they avoid any calls and respond only by email, slowly. Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would, booked a vacation for 2020, and obviously it was canceled, fine we get it. When you ask for a refund they run you around for 2 years! Only way to get money back from them was through litigation! Worst company, takes your money and runs and if your international they think they are invincible, stay far away from them unless you want them to steal your money

Negative experience: Having booked a straightforward holiday to The Hilton Sharks Bay some 14 months ago, the initial documentation was erroneous. We contacted our rep Victor, who assured us that the correct documentation, tickets etc would be forthcoming. These never arrived. With 3 wks til departure we rang Citrus several times to be told by answer machine that they were busy and they would ring us back. They never did and therefore, with 9 days to go, we rang the airline direct, only to be told we were NOT booked on any flights. We emailed Victor and received a reply saying that Sharks Bay were not open for a further month and we were offered significantly inferior options, which we rejected and requested a full credit card refund. Subsequent checking showed that Hilton were still taking bookings for the hotel throughout our holiday period. Why were we misinformed by Citrus. I can only assume that the paperwork was mislaid by Citrus. Having spent a year, looking forwards to this holiday, I can only express total disdain at the treatment we received. Presumably, if we had no contacted easyJet direct we would have arrived at departure date with nothing in place.

So feeling very concerned about our up coming trip if you can't even bother to contact us to have a payment this doesn't install a lot of faith

Negative experience: Shambles. Waiting over a year for a holiday they canceled. And then they refuse to repay the credit card. Want bank details instead. Breaking the law with regards to money laundering. Then they want to charge an administration fee for a lack of service on their part. Don't touch with a barge pole.

Negative experience: Beware as the protection afforded by ATOL will not stop you having to fight for every last penny you are entitled to should your holiday be cancelled due to covid. Citrus tried to charge cancellation fees on a holiday they could not provide and when eventually agreeing to a full refund as required by law and even their own booking conditions state they failed to make any refund payments or follow through on anything they said. Eventually we were forced to persue a claim via the credit card companies, as thankfully we used credit cards, and Citrus tried to dispute the claims and keep the whole payment once again! Thankfully and with the help of the credit card companies our claims were successful and 6 months after we should have travelled we have our money back. I have always recommended Citrus but would never ever recommend or travel with them ever again. Companies like this give the travel industry a very bad name. Beware.

Negative experience: So my wife and I got married in 2019. Booked a lovely holiday for August, then COVID. We agreed to wait initially and even paid extra to reschedule our holiday. But November arrived and we had heard no update on our holiday. We then wished for a refund. We were met with resistance and foolishly I gave in and agreed to reschedule for a different holiday. We were asked to pay a difference of over 3 grand on top of the existing 5 grand we had already paid; unacceptable. They also wanted this money without confirmation of details of new holiday in the Maldives, no flight information, hotels anything, just give me the money and that was it. I then made clear that I wanted a refund and they agreed in December I believe and then stated we would be refunded the 31st March 2021. It's not here. They have said it's "In process" and "On the accounts" but quite frankly they are lying. Please the other reviews here that are negative and make your decision about dealing with these crooks carefully. My father passed away in December, my Mother was in hospital and I am in process of getting a mortgage, this has been a high pressure time in my life and I would greatly appreciate the 5 grand that was promised to me. This company is quite simply dying and willing to shaft anyone in the process to stay alive after a battering with from COVID. I would feel sympathy but the way in which my wife and I have been treated is beyond the pale. Small claims court is next if they cannot get this resolved. Do not in any circumstances deal with this crooked company in anyway shape or form, because if you have a problem they could not care less. you have been warned.

Negative experience: Still awaiting a refund from a holiday booked in Dec 2019. Yes, Covid has caused unprecedented disruption for us all but Citrus' response has been awful. They are now not even having the common courtesy to answer my emails. They have 1 last chance to refund my £5000 then I am having to proceed via the court system. Do not book with this company Update 01.04.21 I had to make a claim through the small claims court inthe end but have finally received a full refund. I will never use them again and I can't recommend them either. If they told the truth and improved their customer service it wouldn't have been so bad!

Negative experience: Honestly the most shocking company I have ever had the displeasure of booking through. Please do not book with them unless you want to experience complete let down, severe stress, poor communication and broken promises. Our holiday was cancelled due to covid and the company were horrendous and would not refund our money. I have asked for their complaints policy and have subsequently been ignored. I have gone to citizens advice, trading standards and the small claims court. I wouldn't even give them 1 star review...they are just God awful!

Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY... I had to click on one star to post this review but the do not deserve ANY stars! I have been trying for over a year to sort out a massive mistake by the tour/transfer company and Citrus Holidays. I was left stranded at the airport in a foreign country without being collected, my connecting flight had been changed yet the two companies did not communicate this with each other and I was left alone and quite scared. This is UNACCEPTABLE and and all you get from Citrus Holidays is obnoxious 'advisors' and a manager (there only seems to be one name they give you - fictional maybe - that never acknowledges you nor contacts you although I have been trying to speak with her for a very long time. ABTA is now on the case and I hope they finally admit there mistake and I receive an full apology. I will do my utmost to stop anyone I know booking this company...

Fantastic experience: HAVING JUST RETURNED FROM A 10 DAY HOLIDAY TO VIETNAM WITH CITRUS HOLIDAYS, EVERYTHING WAS AS THE SCHEDULE SAID IT WOULD BE. GREAT HOTELS, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PEOPLE, I COULD GO ON AND ON. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS INTERNAL FLIGHT DELAYS THAT CITRUS HAS NO CONTROL OVER. THANKS FOR GREAT SERVICE

Negative experience: Holiday booked in March obviously due to covid was cancelled offered later date at extra cost which was agreed to. easyJet flight in Oct cancelled citrus not even aware of this until I rang them requested full refund but told admin costs would be deducted again agreed to this, refused voucher offer and insisted refund. Bank details given still waiting for money to go into bank 3 months on Not a company to use in future!! Promises much delivers nothing!!

Positive experience: Booked triple centre Prague, Vienna, Budapest. All tickets and everything sorted. You will have to carry out some sorting out for yourself, such as to and from airports, etc. No problem changing flights.

Negative experience: Due to COVID-19 started January, we concerned our safety of travelling, me and my mom who is 75 yrs old have to cancel the Europe trip in May. We requested refund since February the company promised to refund the money in April. Now we are in July, still have no money being refunded!!! I can’t believe the company is lie to customer.

Positive experience: lovely holiday to India taking in sights and sounds from around the golden triangle, with a tiger safari in Ranthambore and four nights in Goa to end , all went well with transfers, guides and all excursions as stated, there was a point of contact in india, who was really good and phoned and messaged with information throughout our 14 days, especially as the covid 19 outbreak was in its early days in india. A true holiday of a lifetime, our driver for the ten days was marvelous, always on time and very attentive to our needs, he found us lovely restaurants when needed and was very informative about the roads we traveled and sights along the way, all but one of the hotels we stayed were really nice and up to standard, the exception was the Sultanbagh in Ranthambore, a tented hotel that was in dire need of updating , the best hotel was Green house resort in Pushkar another tent but rooms and grounds were exceptional, with a lovely pool, i only wish we had stayed more than one night here, all in all we had a great time and would consider booking with Citrus again. now its very rare that everything is perfect, so the bits that could be improved on, communication from citrus agent , i had a terrible time trying to get information i wanted, time and time again i emailed requesting information, i felt like i was bothering them as replies were curt and not always answering my question, i was told i had had all documents, when i had not. Before booking with citrus i had read reviews saying the agent had been more than helpful, so maybe i got the one who got out the wrong side of the bed so i wouldnt be put off by this, book with citrus and enjoy

Negative experience: Terrible response to the Covid outbreak. Refusing any refund, requesting £500 more from us to reschedule. Attempting to intimidate my partner during phone conversation, ignoring emails, acting above the law around package travel regulations. Avoid like the plague (no pun intended), these guys are woeful. Negative experience: We had a holiday booked to Italy with this company. They called us the flight had been cancelled but when we said we wanted a full refund as per their terms and conditions he told us the flight was not cancelled. We checked this on the Easyjet website and it had been cancelled, clearly we were lied to so we would change our booking at our cost.

Negative experience: Very poor company with terrible admin and nonexistent customer service follow up when things do not go to plan. This company uses third party travel agencies at your destination so you have no idea which company is actually providing your holiday. Obviously from some reviews some of these third party companies provide a better service than others but that is not the point. You book with Citrus and therefore it should be safe to assume that you will be accompanied on the tour by their rep as other more reputable companies do but this is not the case. I would avoid this company at all costs. I am still waiting for a reply to my complaint over 3 months ago

Fantastic experience: Just finished part 1 of our Bangkok/Cambodia/Vietnam tour and am writing this from the airport whilst we wait for our flight as I feel the need to counter some of the negative posts. If the rest of the holiday carries on like the way it started we have bagged a bargain. So far everything has been seamless from collection at the airport to our guided trips. Special mention must be given to Anin our Thai guide. Her English was impeccable and she really gave us all the historical facts to make the tours interesting. The one on one guides and tours gave us so much flexibility and made the trip so much more enjoyable, personable and memorable. I will update after the Cambodia part but so far we can’t fault anything.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful company, they helped me when booking our holiday to Sri Lanka. We changed a few things to the tour with trips & hotels but never once did Alex get fed up of me changing things. The whole trip went to plan without any hitches & we had the most fabulous holiday. I would definitely use Citrus again for booking a holiday.

Fantastic experience: I booked a holiday in June last year for October. The trip was a triple centre stay in SE Asia. We changed and altered a few options and Walter was extremely helpful and got it all done for us. Everything was well organised, all transfers were organised and safe. The contacts in each country were helpful and assisted with every requirement. All the excursions were as agreed and fun with great tour guides in each city. Thank you Citrus for making a milestone birthday the most amazing experience

Positive experience: We have just come back from a fabulous holiday in India covering the golden triangle of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, ending with three days' rest at a seaside resort in Goa. Citrus Holidays organised whole tour completely to our satisfaction with their contact in India keeping us informed all the time and communicating with us directly through WhatsApp to make sure we were alright. We were particularly impressed by the local tour guides and especially our driver Vikash who was with us most of the trip and was both helpful and friendly. We have no hesitation in recommending Citrus Holidays to anyone who is looking for a well organized visit to Taj Mahal and the golden triangle of India.

Negative experience: AVOID CITRUS HOLIDAYS - DON'T TRUST THEM! The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 I made a booking to stay with Citrus Holidays from 10 / 05 / 2019 to 23 / 05 / 2019 at Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bali. However, I have found my booking unsatisfactory. I have just returned from the above holiday with my wife, aspects of which were most disappointing. The holiday did not go to plan. Please find below a list of our complaints: 1) The travel documents arrived late with some detail’s incorrect pre-travel instead of your stated within 30 days which had clearly lapsed. We had to contact you ourselves to send out the full itinerary, in the first place and then again to request a revised schedule as some important details of our trip were incorrect. 2) There was no shuttle sky bus from Dubai airport on our arrival to our destination Grandeur hotel as we were told by Citrus Holidays. Therefore, we had to work out alternative suitable travel instead which took important enjoyment time out of our tight schedule. 3) There was no transfer post immigration into Singapore (see detailed email of 15 May) which cost us extra taxi fare of $41.91 Singapore dollars. This does not include any consequential losses plus of loss of enjoyment of some 5 hours and a late meal. We contacted Citrus Holidays by email on 15 May 2019 but note that no taxi cost has been paid into our credit card account as was promised let alone any consequential losses plus of loss of enjoyment of some 5 hours and a late meal upon our return from holiday. Dubai loss of enjoyment and inconvenience £20.00 Singapore taxi $41.91 (approx. £24 todays rate) out-of-pocket expenses, inconvenience and disappointment Singapore loss of enjoyment and disappointment £100.00. This was not rectified, even after I asked for a resolution while I was staying there. Under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, I am due compensation as the holiday fell short of the description I was provided when I booked the holiday, and it wasn't up to reasonable standards. I am also entitled to claim for my out-of-pocket-expenses at a total of £ 24.00 Taxi fare to hotel. As Citrus Holidays failed to provide us with the holiday we booked, we are seeking £144 compensation itemised as above from them for the problems we encountered, and for the distress and disappointment we suffered as a result. To date we only received the taxi fare but not heard from them despite their letter stating and promising they would contact us with a full written response within 28 days of the formal complaint being lodged. During our trip, we met with other parties who also had had booked with Citrus Holidays and they too had similar issues with them. They find you cheaper hotels but you have to factor in transfer costs. They are only ATOL registered but not ABTA registered hence no arbritration via ABTA should you need to contact them and so we had no such option. If they were ABTA registered we would have a formal written reply within 28 days before involving ABTA. Please be ware of this as we certainly would not be booking with them any more. Once they take your money they have no regard to when this go wrong.

Fantastic experience: I have just recently returned from a tour of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam booked through Citrus and it was fantastic. After booking I was a little worried after reading some reviews and also never hearing of this company before but I personally found them to be fantastic. From start to finish of the holiday it was well organised, all pick ups times met and each guide at every stop were brilliant! Flights all went smoothly. Our guide in Cambodia even moved us to a beautiful hotel after I said I didn't really like the one we had been allocated. He was on it straight away soon as he heard I was too happy and said he wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us so we enjoyed our stay there. Every hotel we stayed, barring one which I mention above was lovely and all pools and were clean. All hotel staff in every place we stayed including the Hotel I wasn't keen on were lovely, helpful and extremely friendly. We visited some spectacular places in each country. There was only one thing which I felt was a bit of a waste of two days was a bus journey from Cambodia to Vietnam. I would rather of paid a little extra if given the choice to have flown there like every other transfer. I would highly recommend this company for this tour to anyone. Thank you Citrus Holidays for such a fantastic time and life experiences gained for my daughter and I.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS Peru Trip Atrocious and exploitative service from start to finish. Had to chase several times for confirmation and ATOL certificates. Flights changed prior to travel costing additional money. Once in Peru, flights were over-sold (!, despite additional spend) and poor 'alternatives' offered which would have resulted in spending 3 days of a 14 day trip in airports. Citrus Emergency number is non-existent and connects you to a sales representative who will only support once you hand over additional cash. Absolutely no support offered despite being stranded in an airport with no accommodation at 6 months pregnant

Negative experience: It has been more than a week since we have returned, and I must say that I am disappointed with the service. We booked this trip through Citrus Holidays in the hope of avoiding the hassle of planning and administrative headaches. Overall, we enjoyed the itinerary including the extra excursions, but some of the slow responses during booking. the late airport pickup in Hanoi, and the Vietnam visa issue were extremely frustrating! I know you sent an email attachment stating that we needed to look into the visa situation, but the verbal confirmations that a visa was not necessary and the inherent trust we had in Citrus Holidays to plan our vacation were enough to satisfy us. However, this trust in Citrus Holidays was broken and we spent nearly 6 hours waiting on the side of the dusty road at the Vietnam border without our passports. We cannot get this time back nor erase this horrible experience for our vacation memories, but we were hoping that Citrus Holidays would at least cover the cost of fixing this travel planning issue. On a side note, we enjoyed our itinerary and the hotels. We got to see pretty much everything that we wanted and a few things that we did not know we wanted to see. The hotels were all clean and cool, and in most cases met or exceeded our expectations. The tours rarely included the high pressure sales and "factory tours" that travel companies usually include. Most of the guides spoke good English. There were two exceptions in the quality of the guides. First, the Ho Chi Minh City guide was rude, impatient, and repeatedly asked for a tip. Second, the Hanoi guide was AMAZING. Her knowledge was immense and her English was impressive. She was one of the best guides we have ever had. So, in total, we thank you for this experience, but we were hoping for a more thoughtful and caring company. We wanted to be able to trust Citrus Holidays to make our future travel arrangements, but this experience has demonstrated otherwise. Regrettably, Adam and Lindsay

Fantastic experience: We have just come back from holiday to Bangkok. Vietnam and Cambodia. The holiday was absolutely fantastic. The hotels, guides and tours were all great. Staff at citrus were helpful and efficient. Even the tour manager met us in Hanoi which was a nice e touch a d she wanted our feedback. Have not got one bad comment. I would definitely book with them again. Thanks especially to Mel at Citrus for all her help

Negative experience: Star 2 Updated 5 minutes ago Very let down by Citrus Holidays We booked a holiday with Citrus holidays going to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia the communication was always sporadic, and when finally we did receive our itinerary vouchers etc, the flights there and back had been booked under two different booking references this made it impossible to check in on line, we managed to get seats together going out by ringing the airline direct, who were baffled that this had been booked this way, but on the return we had the two last seats together the worst seats in the plane, the airline apologized as we by the toilets for nearly 13 hours. Citrus were unhelpful we also booked for fourteen nights and instead of flying us a day early to enable the direct flight back they booked the hotel for the last night even though we were collected at 9pm so list a whole night again through bad booking. We ended up with 13 nights holiday instead of 14 booked and paid for. We booked various tours and flights as per their recommendation and one was a food tour in Hanoi on the back of a motor bike, when we arrived they knew nothing of it, so ended up with a tour ion the back of a bike around town, a beer and a packet of crisps, a take away, and a coffee, this would have been great if it was what we booked but after paying £158 for the tour to end up with a £50 tour was a bit of a mis selling. We have asked them to sort this and come back to us but they have again not bothered so we have ended up out of pocket for the tour and mis sold the tour, and short changed on our 14 nights we have worked hard to pay for, and needed the break, feeling very let down, we are not normally prone to giving holiday agents bad reviews but we were brushed under the rug and feel very put out.

Positive experience: Just returned from my Citrus Holiday to Bangkok, Vietnam and Cambodia, had the most amazing time, I can’t fault this company for the choice of hotels, tour guides and staff during the holiday where fabulous, Kasol Seang, doung, zany, Lisa, to many to mention, just fabulous, the river cruise to halong bay omg breath taking, a Hugh thank to the skipper and his crew, if you choose this holiday be prepared for a trip of a life time, it’s not a sun bathing holiday it’s a full on tour of these fabulous places

Fantastic experience: My husband and I travelled with Citrus Holidays on their Keralan Odyssey tour in November 2018. We looked for a package of excursions and experiences that suited our needs - we were delighted with all aspects of our trip, the service we received, planning, the hotels, excursions and our wonderful driver Sajimon, who really looked after us. This was our first visit to India and we wanted to experience life in a variety of locations and so the 10 day Keralan Odyssey tour was perfect. Definitely happy to recommend to anyone. We saw so much and visited lots of places including a tea plantation, an overnight stay on a houseboat that was just magical, time by the beach, wildlife reserves and so many beautiful hotels with staff who were truly welcoming. Highlights of our holiday included a Keralan cooking lesson, experiencing the buzz of the places we visited - there’s so much to see and do, a Jeep safari, wildlife tours to see elephants and an unforgettable night on a houseboat in Alleppey relaxing on board as we cruised down the river filled with water lilies listening to the water and the wildlife. The aryuvedic massages were great too. Nothing was too much trouble for our guide Sajimon. If we wanted to divert from our itinerary, it just happened, Sajimon suggested places we might like to call at and what better hands could we be in than an expert in the area and what it had to offer. We would not have had such a great time without his knowledge, experience and genuine care about us having the best holiday we could have. All our excursions were enjoyable, well planned and without issues. The hotels were of a high standard and we were truly welcomed. We asked to change a hotel one night as it was a little out of the way and this happened without any fuss - nothing was too much trouble - all our needs were continually met. We would definitely use Citrus Holidays again and am happy to recommend them to others. Saji made our holiday very special - it was great having him with us, he took care of everything and even found me Gin at the Government store.

Positive experience: Have recently returned from a Citrus holiday to 'The Golden Triangle and Kerala'. We only booked this trip 3 weeks ahead when we saw it advertised at a very reasonable price. We were extremely concerned about negative reviews. However, we can honestly say that overall we had an excellent trip. Some aspects could be improved, hence 4 stars not 5, but we would happily recommend this trip. Communication with the company needs improving. Emails are not answered and contact by phone is hit and miss. I was concerned that with less than a week to travel, I had not received any travel documents. They did eventually arrive in time for travel though not in the time to notify mistakes etc, a requirement by the company in their terms and conditions. We were met at Delhi airport as arranged. Our driver was very pleasant and spoke some English but we were often unsure of exact arrangements. It was very convenient having a private driver, although any journey by road in India is not for the feint hearted! The hotels included were all adequate and although the locations could have been better at times, we were happy to stay in the hotels in the evenings as each day was busy with sightseeing. The food at night was buffet style, very good with plenty of choice. Alcohol was very expensive! We were met by a personal guide for a day sightseeing in Jaipur, Agra and Delhi. Different tourist attractions were included and lunch spots recommended. All three guides spoke excellent English and were very knowledgeable. They will also take you on shopping opportunities which are sold as cultural activities. Overall we were very impressed with the organisation and activities included but some planned activities did not happen. We were never offered a yoga class and were unable to see the Red Fort or Chandni Chowk in Delhi due to external circumstances. Our trip to Kerala was again well organised and we were allocated another pleasant driver with limited command of English. As before, we got by and survived the driving! We loved the variety of activities and experiences offered. The houseboat in particular was a wonderful experience. We did upgrade to have aircon. The hotel in Kochi was very good but remote. The tea plantation was lovely and the cardamom plantation an experience not to be missed ! The island resort at Poovar provided a relaxing end to a full on trip. The boat ride on the Periyar lake was lovely but we were disappointed not to see elephants. We read that to see them you should take an earlier trip but this was not offered. We were taken to see elephants in captivity despite declining any rides, washing etc. - a misunderstanding with our driver. Our itinerary stated that we would be able to visit either Thattekad bird sanctuary or Top station as Rajamalai Wildlife sanctuary was closed but neither of these were offered and when we asked, were told they were not possible. However, many other varied activities were included as stated. Overall, this was an excellent varied well- organised trip which represented very good value for money. We would recommend Citrus holidays for this trip and would certainly use them again.

Fantastic experience: I have to start saying I was really worried and sceptical about Citrus, probably because of their website, which appears a bit low profile and probably because of the way some of their agents communicate, however we booked with them at the end, they gave us a good price and we saw some good reviews! Some of their agents are really professional and friendly others can be pushy and bit disturbing, in all means they did a good job. We did Bangkok, Phuket, Dubai trip- all transfers were spot on, as well as the tickets and all docs they had to provide, the whole part they were responsible for went really smoothly and would consider booking with them again! I would like to thank the team and organisation of Citrus for the good job from their end! I’d advise the first timers long distance holiday travellers to take into consideration time difference adaptation, at least 3 full days without any plans just taking in the time difference! I’d think that’s something Citrus could also advise their first timers, often people don’t realise it till they experience it.

Negative experience: Don't do use absolute waste of money. Bangkok, Cambodia and Vietnam trip. Many of the trips in the schedule were altered, changed or simply not available. Very poor alternatives laid on. Returned in November 2018 I have sent a letter and two emails since none of which have been responded too. They simply don't care and it will cost more money to pursue any complaints. Beware!

Negative experience: Worst company I have ever used, don’t book with them, we had to pay for flights and hotel stay at our own cost , citrus left us to deal with this our self and we’re trying to charge us twice the cost that the flights were on line, Citrus were rude and lied and offered no help, would never use again and advise others to stay well away

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from our amazing trip to India. From the moment I spoke to Danny at Citrus Holidays to the moment we landed at Heathrow airport on our return the holiday was perfection. It exceeded our expectations. We wanted to personalise our tour to include The Golden Triangle, Ranthambore Tiger Safari, Shimla and an extension to return flight so that we could visit relatives in Amritsar. This was done without hesitation at a price that was very, very reasonable. The tour was well planned through the in-house company called Go India, the hotels were amazing and the driver excellent. Tour guides were very knowledgeable. Shuhul, owner of Go India actually came to greet and welcome us at the hotel in Delhi. This was very reassuring. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and would definitely use them again. Well Done Citrus Holidays !!!

Positive experience: Recently returned from our trip to Argentina and Brazil. The only small blip was the transport did not pick us up from Buenos Aires airport. A taxi fare and a failed phone call made the start poor after a 13 hour flight. The representative at Iguazu, Vera, was excellent. Also the reps in Rio were very good. All in all I would recommend Citrus.

Fantastic experience: Recently returned from a Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore holiday arranged via Citrus Holiday. I work in the travel industry and know first hand the difficulties these arrangements can throw up. That said our trip was faultless from start to finish. We had guides collecting us from airports, the hotels were superb, all the tours, internal flights and trips went ahead without any hiccups and most of all the value for money is almost too good to be true. Bravo!!! Citrus holidays I will certainly be booking with you again. Sorry to see the negative reviews on this site, if anybody reading this wants additional unbiased reviews please see trust pilot and/or trip advisor.

Fantastic experience: We booked a holiday with Citrus holidays via Travel Zoo almost a year in advance, and finally had our holiday in March 2018. In the meantime I read lots of negative reviews. However, our trip to Bangkok, Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong went tremendously well. The transfers, tour guides, excursions and hotels all exceeded expectation. The holiday represented fantastic value for money. The only negative point would be that it would have been helpful if they'd communicated that the internal flight tickets (we had 1 missing) were with the tour guides and not us, but otherwise, excellent.

Negative experience: Citrus, from our experience with them, is a shopfront with tantalising offers with no substance or that simply don’t exist. We wasted hours and hours trawling through their cumbersome website to try and narrow down venues and dates which then require lengthy confirmation phone calls. These typically resulted in A) Not available for the chosen dates B) Only available for a substantial price hike or C) If you wanted something that was extra, desirable, though not a luxury e.g. transfers from a hotel to the train station or ferry, then this was possible, but for a ludicrous price close to the cost of the main holiday trip alone! The final straw was the non-availability of a chosen two-centre trip to Capri & Sorrento which was not available during s range of 3 separate departure dates - but, guess what, they are STILL advertised almost a week later on their website showing “full availability”. As D Trump would say “Fake News!”. We gained the impression that these non-offers were just to hook you in to their system to give you what THEY wanted. BTW they took our card details for payment of a holiday that was cancelled without explanation only a short time later. They gave an excuse that it was used to “check availability”. Pathetic! Do not use.

Fantastic experience: Our visit to Malaysia was our third holiday using the services of Citrus Holidays and once again we are more than satisfied. Citrus did not actually offer the holiday we wanted on their site, but a quick phone call put that right. They customised a wonderful tour. The hotels were mainly brilliant. The tours that their overseas agents ( Discovery Overland) arranged were well planned and interesting. Visiting the orphan orangutans, sun bears and probosicis monkeys in Borneo was exciting and informative. The guides and pick up drivers, well spoken, polite and well groomed with only one hiccup when a driver did not arrive in the early hours of the morning. However the hotel arranged a taxi and the schedule carried on. And the agents for Discovery Overland quickly responded the next day and apologised and refunded the taxi fare. Only one hotel was not as we expected, Oasia Novena. Situated in the health quarter of Singapore the rooms were more suitable to disabled persons. With beds that could be raised and lowered and hand rails in the shower. There was no lobby or bar area where one could sit and relax after a busy day. This meant that when we had to vacate our rooms there was no where to sit. The area the hotel was in meant that we had to use taxis or MRT to get to any of the famous sites in Singapore. The staff however were helpful and happy. The two best hotels of our tour were Traders in Kuala Lumpur and Shangri La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu. With fabulous views from the rooms and fantastic staff who made our stays really memorable. Four Points by at Sheraton was a good hotel but in a poor and dirty area of the city of Sandakan and one did not really feel safe walking the streets surrounding it. The visits planned throughout the trip were outstanding. The guides all spoke excellent English and were well informed. We really enjoyed our experience. Negative experience: Aweful customer service. I spoke to ryan who is a disgrace of a customer service worker. Rude abnoxcious and pushy. I am a well travelled and have never encourtered such unprofessionlism when trying to book a holiday. The company have terrible flight options and overall very unprofessional. AVIOD
